Laila Turkish Cuisine in Aberdeen City

A very good surprise this Turkish restaurant. The dishes are tasty, the owner is very kind and affable and the service is fast.

Late lunch today. 7 of us. Food amazing, service great. So worth a visit.

Really lovely Turkish cuisine, it was nice to try some new things and some old favourites. Staff lovely and very friendly too. We'll definitely be back!

What an amazing restaurant!! Went last night for the first time and the service and food was incredible. It was my first time venturing out after having to cut out gluten and dairy and felt slightly self conscious about it. The staff were so accommodating and created me the most delicious meal - thank you so much. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff made it so much fun. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough - looking forward to my next visit when I’m back in Aberdeen.

We popped in for lunch yesterday and I was miffed I've never been before!!! Good was exceptional. Could not falter it what so ever and had fresh cooked breakfast and baklava. Service was impeccable. We had so much food! Can't wait to go back.

The food at Laila Turkish Cuisine was the only redeeming factor. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly unprofessional, the limited soft drink selection was disappointing, and they don't have an alcohol license. Given the high prices, the overall experience was underwhelming.

We went for a birthday celebration and everything was outstanding. Food was very tasty and service was spot on. Lovely decor and atmosphere. A bonus that it's BYOB and they even offered to chill our wine in their fridge! It will definitely be added to our "go to" restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely evening here, it's BOYB which is always a plus. The 3 of us just wanted picky bits and we were not disappointed. The homemade breads and dips were delicious, the stuffed grape leaves were divine. We will definitely be back and will also recommend this restaurant to our family and friends, thank you.

I recommend it to every Pole who visits Abeerdeen, delicious Turkish cuisine that will please everyone, I especially recommend the minced lamb kebab and hot soft rolls straight from the oven to share with accompanying people. Great pub, the only complaint I would have is that it was a bit cold.

A lovely restaurant with good service and decent food. My wife and I ordered some starters with fish dishes as our mains. The starters were dolma, olives, and Hummus and all appeared to be homemade, fresh and very flavorful. The bread was homemade. The mains was where the dinner fell apart. My salmon was a little overcooked and somewhat dry with no sauce although the menu suggested it was to be served in a cream sauce. (My wife had a similar fish dish with different fish and hers was the same as mine without sauce.) And, the veggies on the plate were a mix of fresh asparagus and frozen mixed veggies. The mashed potatoes were dry and somewhat grainy. Our service was excellent at the restaurant. For reference, it's a BYOB restaurant, so if you want wine with your meal, bring a bottle along. The excellent service and appetizer quality lifted this rating up.

It was great to find a friendly face and a pleasant conversation while abroad. It was also nice to drink a coffee that will be remembered for forty years.

Went here for lunch and had the best Turkish meal we have ever had (outside of Turkey)! Everything was delicious and authentic and the staff were friendly and helpful too. My favourite items were the lahmacun (hot starter) and the pide! However I would recommend trying as much as you can as it's all delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

I didn't really like my main course, however the mezze was delicious as well as the homemade bread!! However, it remains excessively expensive for the quality of the meal!! The team was very warm and attentive!

We had a take out from here last night and it was the worst Turkish food we ever had, we both ordered Adna kebab, the quality was so bad, the meat was so hard as if it was cooked earlier in the week and they just warmed it up last night, the portion was so small that I don’t understand how they justify that against the prices that is so higher compare to other places in town, never ever!

Excellent food. I had Lamb kebab, and it was just perfect! So tender. Great service as well. Definitely coming back next time I am looking for some real Turkish food.

One of the best restaurants in Aberdeen. Always friendly staff making it a special experience. Everything on the menu is phenomenal. Great that you can BYOB with a cheap cover charge. Lucky to be local to such a great option in the city.

This is such a lovely restaurant with excellent service and delicious freshly cooked turkish food. There is the also the added bonus that you can bring your own bottle !! Will be back

Firstly the staff and owner were very good and attentive. However the food lacked any resemblance of true Turkish authenticity in terms of taste and presentation. The starters were OK but very small and lacked any ‘mezze’ feel that is the signature of any Turkish restaurant in any town or village in Turkey or indeed Nargile in Aberdeen. Why?? The mains, which we didn’t order until we had the small starters half finished due to other reviews saying that they arrive too quickly, were truly terrible with two of us leaving most of what was tasteless mush. To make matters worse there were none of the fish dishes available and then no ice cream and we had grandkids with us. No explanation and very disappointing. None of us can understand the many 5* reviews here and unfortunately won’t be going back and spending the best part of £200 for 4.

Absolutely first class food and service. Also BYO booze so that is a huge positive for overpriced drinks in many other restaurants. Please please please support local restaurants as opposed to overpriced and poor value chains there is no comparison and the food is out of this world. Recommend it all however the feta parcels, hummus and bread were very moreish!

Noisier than a children's playground First two choices of starters we were told unavailable 5pm Waitresses didn't know what was in the dishes when asked Ordered three starters half way through them waitress slams down our main meals without asking if we are ready etc Terrible service and noisy Not worth the price and the couple behind us didn't eat their dishes and thought the service and food were terrible when we bumped into them later on in the evening Save your money go buy a Turkish kebab at a takeaway as will taste better and better cheaper .one off if not the worst meal and experience I've had in many off a year in Aberdeen

Great food. The reasonable corkerage fee saves $$ too. We had a few kabob platters. Everything was delicious. Friendly service. A bit loud in the restaurant is only complaint.

Just returning from Istanbul and finding out the prices are same & didn't find that great breakfast place there so Laila has amazing Turkish breakfast compared to any in Turkey I've been to. More food & better quality for £20/pp. You won't be disappointed. Only thing I wish they would offer is apple tea haha

Average turkish restaurant. The food is good and looks authentic, but its spiced a bit meh and the meat is overcooked. Drink choices are scarce. Atmosphere and service are a bit antiseptic in my opinion.

The best Turkish food I've ever had! We got complementary starter bread with 4 sides and we ordered the gavurdag salata, cheese and kavurma pide, grilled chicken iskender, lamb kofte iskender and mix kebab platter. I saw a review that said the portion size was really small, so we ended up ordering a lot. However, the portion size is really big. Had to get the rest packed. If you had to get only one thing off the menu I'd recommend the cheese and kavurma pide (10/10). Also, the owner Mr. Reza was incredibly attentive and kept checking in to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable.

The food was delicious so was the service. The owner was nice enough as to turn off the music when I started praying there and was very nice. It was the first time I had food that really tasted GOOD in Scotland.

Legit everything was so flavourful. And that complimentary starter bread is so amazing. I don't particularly like chicken breast, and I took it with me to have the next day. It was so succulent even the next day after being microwaved

This is a modern restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen. This was my first visit and I look forward to returning very soon. The manager made me feel very welcome and the service was friendly and not rushed. The food was fantastic and all the dishes I had were well presented, fresh and very tasty. Prices are reasonable and I was £30 for two courses and a shift drink. I am happy to recommend this restaurant to other diners.

Lovely spot, currently BYOB. We are serious Nargile lovers, but this place has some of the tastiest Turkish food we have had in Aberdeen. Fresh , flavourful and fast. Keep up the good work please and we 💯 will be back!!

We been to turkey, wonderful food experience. At Laila, pathetic food very very low quantity. Heavily priced. Laila Turkish cuisine needs to improve the food quality, put reasonable quantity of food and price accordingly. Very bad experience with family. Will not visit again. Guys think twice before visiting this overpriced restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and kind. We were there for breakfast and they brought hot tea and then many little delicious dishes, breads, dips. They explained each plate and offered more of anything we would like. Everything was wonderful and beautifully seasoned.

This place is amazing. The food was fantastic (so tasty), the staff were incredibly attentive throughout and as they charge a corkage fee, we could enjoy some great wine without paying a fortune. They even helped me with my poor attempts to thank them in Turkish. A brilliant place to eat and enjoy. We will definitely be back very soon.

Raw chicken! Visited 'Laila Turkish Cuisine' for the first time during Aberdeen Restaurant Week. The staff were polite and welcoming as we came in. It was busy and the atmosphere was good. All main courses were £15. I had the 'Chicken Kebap (Tavuk Sis) which is usually £21 - the portions are quite small for the price. I was enjoying my dish until I realised that a piece of the chicken was completely raw once I cut it open! I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't cut that piece to share it. That put me off the rest of the dish. The rice and turkish salad part of it was nice but the raw chicken just put me off. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Great food cooked fresh, on demand and the staff were absolutely lovely. Worth every penny.

First visit to this eatery and really happy. Service and hospitality was great and real family feel. Excellent menu and flavours. Pleasantly buzzing with a.wide range of clientele. Could be a bit warmer, but the choice of making it a BYOB is very smart for regular returners

Both food and service were superb! Perhaps some of the best hospitality I’ve had in a while in Aberdeen in a while. Had a vegetarian with us as well, plenty of options for her too. Highly recommend!

Laila, we love you! Went after hearing some many good reviews and we were not disappointed, food and service were fantastic. I usually live in Sydney where you can get any type of great food at any time and I have to say Laila was up there with the best. What made the night, and it was a special celebration night was the owner/manager/host. I should have got his name because he was fantastic. So attentive, funny, accommodating and welcoming. He made my 81 year old Dad feel great and really special. Thoroughly recommend but don't take my word for it, try it!!

My third visit in the last few weeks to this fantastic new addition to the Aberdeen restaurant scene. A lovely cosy atmosphere on a cold rainy evening, a warm friendly welcome and superb service. The food is outstanding, we shared four hot starters, had a main course each and followed the recommendation to round off the meal with two traditional Turkish desserts to share. The numerous extras were much appreciated too. Huge thanks to Riza and his team for making this a special evening to remember - it’s six stars all round from me.

Went there for a dinner. Food was served cold. Bland taste with no flavours. Items were missing from the order and came late when told about the missing items. Their Turkish breakfast is good as there are not many cooked items in their breakfast. Seems like they don't have prior restaurant or cooking experience. It was a waste of time for me and my family.

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious, the service is attentive and generous, and the prices are very reasonable.

We came across this restaurant when walking around Aberdeen. What a find. The food was excellent the baklava was fresh and amazing. We were made to feel so welcome. You would be crazy not to try this gem in Aberdeen
