We visited here for a family meal as we wanted to try somewhere different to our usual place (Kebabbish). We were particularly clean to try the "tawa" dishes which seems to ne a new fad that some places are trying out. The place is a bit bigger than it looks on the pictures. Admittedly it's a tiny bit cramped but it wasn't too bad once we were seated. it wasn't too busy when we arrived so we were seated quickly. Out food order was also taken quickly and it arrived promptly. We ordered a tawa for 4 and we swapped one of the standard items for more seeks. The food arrived very quickly and the large metal tawa was placed in the centre of the table. This does have several disadvantages; firstly it takes up a lot of space. secondly the food tends to go quite cold quickly. Its not like a normal retsaurant where your starters arrive first, followed by the main course. Also the open nature of the Tawa means that it goes cold very quickly. Finally the two curries are in the centre of the tawa, so the liuid spreads out and they mix with each other. Its quite hard to scoop it into the plate. Its not really practical at all. LQ should put it into small dishes to enable the naan to be dipped into the curry (as is traditional) rather than having to effectively wipe the Tawa with the naan. Service was quick, prices were reasonable (£50 for 4 plus drinks). it was a bit chilly. Overall it was OK but Im not sure it stands out to be honest.

Ordered a 1KG Chicken Karahi for £17.99 and what I got was one small full chicken and half of it was just bones which wasn't worth it at all for that price. I also ordered few other dishes and was over charged when I went to pay at the counter. Even told him I got over charged and he said its correct when it wasn't even when I calculated how much the total was few times before asking for the bill. Its not the first time this has happened. Im a regular here and its happened a few times now where they round up the total even when the total amount is less than the actual amount. They should write the actual price of each item on the bill so we know what we getting charged for. They dont write the actual price of each item on the bill and they just calculate it from ontop of their heads and tells us the total which is wrong.

What a great experience. My first visit to this very welcoming restaurant. We were a group of ten and treated like royalty. Great hospitality. The service was spot on with very efficient and friendly staff. The tawa was superb, great flavours and a huge selection of food to delve into. Great atmosphere for a Tuesday evening with most tables occupied by families and locals. Highly recommended. Thank you, I will be back!

The food is very nice here. I would not class it as a restaurant more a takeaway place although we sat downstairs it was crammed and tight for space. But, the food made up for it as it very authentic and really good value for money.

I ordered a tava for £60 but had to be take out, I noticed the portions were very small, the starters and the main, we didn’t have enough starters or curry at all, it was very less, tava is meant to be huge between a large group of people especially for £60 but on my case it was a takeout as we wanted to eat from home so the portions were stingy and I think the business didn’t give me what was best value for my money at all, the naans were small roti were small, although they do give you good food when your actually there and portions are good, I feel they have taken advantage of my situation and cut with giving me extra food , food that I had paid for which I was entitled too, here is a photo of what we got for starters, Avoid getting a take out they will give you very less and you will end up being embarrassed infront of your guests when the roti and naan runs out !!!! Overall good food,

We came here for a tawa meal. We booked a table although as we arrived in the early evening, table were available. By about 7 pm it got very busy and people had to wait. We ordered a tawa meal for 4. The curries were good. We enjoyed the lamb chops and chicken wings. Drinks are included for the price of the tawa. We managed to finish everything. Service could had been better. The young lads who were the waiters should realise that when they are talking to each other they should not be swearing in front of the customers. It's also cash only. I think it would be better if they had a credit card machine.

Absolutely delicious and possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten! Lebanese lamb chops to start were tender, juicy and so tasty. Butter chicken had a kick rather than tasting full of sugar and lamb rogan josh was fresh and full of flavour. Social distancing for the takeaway was spot on.

The Lahore Quila is a medium sized local Restaurant catering largely for the local community. It has both a downstairs and upstairs for eating. On entering the the staff are very friendly and helpful when going through the menu.We had lamb chops to start and they were really excellent and very tasty. For the main we shared a chicken on the bone curry with normal trimmings.Overall view was absolutely excellent. Beats the bigger commercial restraints hands down. Authentic food, cooked to perfection. My mate and I travel a lot to Asian restaurants and this was worth the trip. In fact I am writing this from the restaurant on my second visit. It's that good.Menu wise, there looks like some great dishes I would love to try, but they are for parties from 4 to 6. I obviously need to recruit some people.Starters have arrived on my second visit, smelling fantastic. Must go, food calls

Visited here during the week, its a small restaurant and was empty when we arrived and a tad cold, the guy started a gas fired blower up to take the chill off... never had that before. The waiter was friendly and helpful and recommended a "Tawa" for 4 people which is a combination of chicken and lamb koftas, lamb chops, chicken wings, chicken tikka pieces, fries, fried fish, naan and chapatti breads and 2 curries (lamb and chicken in our case). This is all served on a huge steel platter with the two curries in the centre. Its a sharing platter and plenty of food for everyone. Mostly the food was good, the lamb chops and wings very tasty. I didn't like that the curries were served together as they get a bit mixed up but they were tasty. I didn't like the fried fish, this was offered as an alternative to donner kebab meat but the fish was a bit "wet and runny" inside the batter. We also has a jug of Lassi which was lovely and complemented our dinner. All in all it was good and at £50 for 4 of us it represented good value.Would I go back? yes but I wouldn't have the fish.

This restaurant was highly recommended by my brother but honestly I was sceptical due to the appearance and overall decor. However the saying of never judging a book by its cover is true in this case , what it lacked in decor was more than made up by the excellent food. We ordered the Tawa which is highly recommended. Also there was excellent customer service by our sever ZAFRANHighly recommended

I heard this was a good place and went with good intentions . We ordered 3 tawas which included drinks. The guys also wanted lassi which was watery and terrible. The food wasn't the best, kebabs were ready made, curry was just paste, donner was undercooked and sent back, chicken was hard, chips were OK and naan was fine. For the price definitely not worth it, I wouldn't be going here again. Shame really, I had really high hopes.

A group of 9 of us were booked for 7.30pm on Saturday. When we arrived we waited just 7 minutes before being seated. The place was clean and very homely. The Platters were cooked hot, fresh and consisted of Sekh Kebabs, grilled chicken, Grilled fish, chips, Lamp chops, rotee, naan bread, chicken and lamp Curry (you have a choice of various items). Well that's me in a sponsored Ottomon Hat with my tools. Beautiful food, warm atmosphere so surround yourselves with friends and family and enjoy the bliss. We did and thoroughly loved it. Thank you to all the staff. God bless you. 9 people -3 Platters £112.00. Worth every penny.

I normally eat at nearby Bukhara but on this occasion my hosts insisted on trying the Lahore Quila which only opened about a year ago. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty but locals soon filled all the tables/ We started with tandoori lamb chops, grilled chicken pieces and sheesh kebabs which were all hot, spicy and delicious served with plain poppadums. Our main course was a rich mutton curry with naan and chapatti breads straight from the oven. The tables and chairs were very basic and almost uncomfortable but the visit was made by the fresh and tasty food.

Absolutely horrific service and food. Waited over an hour and half for the food to be served only to get runny mash potatoes and raw chicken. Complained about the food to be told thats the way the mash is served! On what planet God knows! Complete lack of customer service. When i complained they didn't even acknowledge or apologise. Needless to say I shan't be visiting this place ever again. I would highly recommend you steer clear of this place. Its appalling!

Attended here on a rainy Tuesday night on the recommendation of a mate. There were four of us and managed to get seated straight away. We chose the Tawa and were allowed to vary the curries to suit our taste. Had poppadoms and chutneys whilst waiting for the main event and we were provided with a large ice cold bottle of water.....nice touch. By the time our Tawa arrived the place had started to fill up which made for a nice atmosphere. The Tawa arrived........for those who don't know, it's basically a huge cast iron serving dish which has been heated so the food arrives sizzling. Great selection of starters and the curries were tasty and very authentic. This is a great way to share a meal with friends without busting the wallet - £40 for four. The staff were great and provided extra roti super quick. By the time we had finished the place was rammers, upstairs and down and plenty came in for takeaways too. All in all a great night, we'll done Lahore Qila.....I will return.

The prices both on the Sliders website and Uber website were incorrect. Gourmet burgers were 50p more than a standard burger. A standard burger was worth more than their buffalo chicken burger. I spoke to a staff member over the phone who said they would get back to me confirming the type of burger. No response. They describe ALL their burgers as coming in a brioche bun and ALL having 100% groundmeat. For £8 on the Uber eats offer this is what I received. Disgraceful rip off. They couldn't even get the fries proper. Taste like plastic. When I called up to ask how they were charging £8 for a basic cheeseburger, I was passed on from one staff member to another. Eventually the 4th person was the manager who demanded I speak in Gujrati. After telling him I'm not Gujrati, he's just like blame Uber Eats. Last time the pizza was sloppy and the wrong order he blamed the driver. Over the years they have become more arrogant and never ever take responsibility for any mistakes they make.
