Laagha’s in Croydon

Been my favourite spot to come over the years, first came June 2020, knew about these guys way before the hype, food and service has always been 10/10. Seems they’ve officially closed the store now, drove past a few weeks back. End of an era.

Recently I walked past and saw the shop was permanently shut. This shows how bad the place was. Last year. Thought I try this place out as it’s near my work. I walked in and saw a youth cleaning the table and he looked high and said 1min. Then I stood awkwardly for 10min for him to finish cleaning and he took my order. After trying the food, it was very plain and bland, the cost doesn’t justify the food.

BRING BACK THE BREAKFAST WAFFLE PLEASE!! Laaghas has not been the same since they changed their menu

Food sooooo nice, we went back the next day but they had a power problem and were waiting for the engineer to come😔. We will be going back. Friendly staff. You have to taste the food.

I often find myself craving the Big Boss burger, never thought I'd be a fan of chicken and waffles but Laagha's really do it well, especially the fried chicken itself. Wait time is usually more than 30 minutes for pick up so I'd say order in advance if possible. Can be quite rowdy inside and outside the shop.

Definitely different. Worth a try. I went for the chicken plantain waffle. Next time I'm curious to try the burger

My friend and I went to Laaghas, I had been once a couple of years ago but my friend had never been. We both got the cheeseburger waffle with a slushie and my goodness it was sooo good. The burger had so much flavour, the waffle and syrup was sweet and delicious and the slushie did what it needed to do!! Honestly we are going to come back, we don’t even live near the area but it’s worth the trek. The gentleman who served us, I believe his name was Shakan, was kind, efficient and very pleasant!!! 10/10 recommend!!!!

Honestly- this is my favourite restaurant in London. My partner and I drive from the other side of London just for their Chicken and Waffles- the laagha’s sauce is so delicious. Paired beautifully with the sweet plantain- our absolute favourite!

Shake was yummy, and the quantity was good, but the straw was UNUSABLE. It is flat as paper, and it was impossible to drink through it. Ruining a great product. Needs to be changed immediately.

Don't normally leave reviews but this was worth the money.. food portion is allot and tastes great. Will add to my go too list.

i didn’t receive one of my waffles and my milkshake, i would like a refund of my money as i paid for what didn’t come.

I paid for plantain it never came. The waffle was dry with no sauce too.

My daughter was hungry she waited 2 hours for a sandwich and a portion of plantain The plantain was £6 shared in a bag of oil and i get half of plantain for £6

Really good waffle burger and wings, and fillings were generous with the chips.

This meal was just awful! Where do I start - the waffle beef burger tasted slightly off, the chips had no flavour, the waffle was also burnt, I had the hot and spicy wings which were so so salty and the cheese within the burger had no flavour as if it was watered down! I did not enjoy one bit of this meal and something was clearly wrong because I had a very upset stomach for the whole night!!! The restaurant needs to seriously up their game on the quality of their ingredients!!

absolutely delicious. ordered the chicken and plantain waffle and i'm very impressed. tastes as good as chicken and waffles in north america! sorry there's no picture as i took one bite and couldn't put it down.

Driver did not follow notes provided. Had to walk around building and through rain to get delivery at wrong location.

Why you change a time for delivery tree times?

I order from this place a lot, great food. Went in to order yesterday and was very pleased, very nice staff.

We love desserts here, probably our favourite place to order ice cream 🍦 always quick service.

Food was amazing, well presented & tasted delish!! Even though Just Eat app had slightly different ingredients to what was actually in store, Manager rectified quickly and made another waffle from scratch. Very pleased overall

This is second time having laagahs one of the best waffle and chicken I’ve tasted you won’t be disappointed the seasoned fries are to die for also I herd about these from my sister I tried the waffle then was addicted the portion sizes are massive and good value for money the waffle alone is massive I will be ordering again only negative is that they don’t deliver to my area which is waddon please extend ur delivery distance thank you

I did not recieve my whole order the dessert was mising!

Ordered the crushed Oreo, crushed biscoff along with the waffle, the waffle was tiny not impressive. Toppings were decent. Ordered hot and spicy wings, the wings were far from hot or spicy it was battered little and fried no flavour at all. Very disappointing and ended up spending £15.. not good at all. Never ordering from here again.

Ordered for 4, mixture of food was intriguing and very tasty. Chips were great. Whether you get bagel, burger, or waffle it's a lot of food so bear in mind your meal size and if you're really as hungry as you think you are.

The Fanta fruit twist drink was missing. Everything else was good!

Sat inside will my parents waited for me to arrive with food in my belly as my mum too old to cook girl in cafe said I don't eat sauce I suppose she is right it's just a dressing on top of waffle bun or waffle I had the big boss and a toffee milkshake it was lovey will be back but only to fill my belly as my mum can't cook anymore made a change to a Morley's down Thornton road which is the way I was heading and though why not try this place as one and had breakfast at seven and could not wait around so pop in hear to be feed well .

This place has turnt awful slow service and the the staff have zero respect. The older lady takes zero care when cooking the food. Wouldn’t recommend..

The waffles are so tasty and so filling. I’ve been over 10 times and the consistency has not slipped. Top 10 London takeaways. Great packaging too.

I use to go here before when they only did waffles and it was decent.. HOWEVER now This is the worst food ive ever had!! The chips were inedible and the beef burger was like a rubber tyre that got stuck in my throat. Im suprised i did not need to go to a and e after that. Sort it out laagnas

There’s currently a video circling on social media of mice in the kitchen the conditions of the kitchen looked poor - chicken stored on the floor and flour packets clearly chewed through.

Just saw some disturbing photos of this establishment. I wouldn’t eat there if you paid me. Food hygiene was one, mice droppings all over the flour bag and meat just left laying around on the floor. DISGUSTING!! 🤢🤮

I could've vomited I kid you not. I thought I was seeing things, there was an army of ants scattered around the kitchen with rat droppings by the staff bathroom. Dried up sauce on the ceiling, which looked as if it was there for weeks..... Then when I look over to the area where the chicken gets seasoned, the lady was using the kitchen gloves (she uses for wiping down surfaces with detergent) for seasoning chicken! The boss wants Laaghas' image to look good whilst hiding the truth from its customers. I saw raw chicken sitting in a bucket container, no lid on. Room temperature for hours....ants crawling in and around the food and seasoning containers. * DO NOT EAT FROM LAAGHAS *

WOW!!! Best chicken and waffle spot around, I’ve tried them all!! The brisket and waffles is delicious too!! Omg the sauce - what’s in that? it is out of this world! The portion is so filling too. Don’t change a thing Laagha’s your food smacks every time!

The food is so delicious and worth the money OMG the apple crumble and custard 😋😍😋 I was served by a young black boy with a beautiful smile 🥰😁 with excellent customer service ✅ he made me want to order more food but I didn’t have enough money 😂😩 next time.

I used to love eating from Laagha's - used to work around the corner so everyday it was a treat! Then they changed their formula for their waffles, started charging extra for their signature sauce pots, and not putting as much effort into their meals. The recipe for the chicken often changes, sometimes burnt, and the prices skyrocketted, probably due to the rising costs of ingredients. Staff are super friendly, their atmosphere around back is always bubbly, the shop is modernized. Just a shame about the food sometimes.

Every time I’ve been the food has always been top notch. Hoping for a branch to pop up closer to home Purley. It would honestly be a big hit around here.

Slow service, poor mannered staff with dirty uniforms. Music too loud to hear your order being taken. Things missing from my order and when challenged about this your met with poor customer service. When ordering make sure music is turned OFF. They do not give refunds if you’ve made the mistake of ordering the wrong thing due to the menu being in font size 6pt - even when this is asked for just a few seconds after payment. Weird

My friend and I both came back for the first time since reopening and were both in awe at the look of the refurbishment as well as the service. Our thanks to Divine and Shaqan taking the orders and Omar with a nice gesture.

My friend and I made our return and were amazed with the refurbishment. The food was perfect and as always a big shout out to the staff. Special mentions to Shaqan and Divine who were divine! Also Omar must be featured in this review for his excellent act of hospitality which was the cherry on top of our visit. Thanks again.

food is great, however hygiene is poor. every-time i buy from this shop the worker uses the same gloves for everything. to take money, touching counters and devices then uses those same gloves to touch the food toppings. i won’t be buying from here again i’ve had enough of the lack of cleanliness and common sense.

The food is really great, however they are let down by incompetent workers. I've ordered from here a number of times and on every single occasion something is forgotten. Yes, I always get a refund but the inconvenience is not worth it.

They have the best chicken and waffles I’ve come across and the consistency in quality is always the same. Also the staff are friendly. I recommend this place.

Apple crumble was soggy in the custard and didn't taste fresh solid and crispy today which is unusual :( I should have known when I saw it being picked from not the usual place. Then again I wasn't expecting less than the usual standard.

Based purely on food I would give 5 stars. However during busier times I waited more than 45 minutes for my food for it then to be given to the wrong person by accident. This was resolved however, and I visited a second time where the food was made much quicker which is why I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and 4 stars.

Great place. Waffle (chicken & turkey bacon) was delish and very filling. The milkshake was ridiculously thick. Yum! Well done Laaghas. Just wish you took phone orders.

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered to collect and once i arrived I had to wait another 45 minutes to receive my food!!! I was told orders are prepared once the customers enter the store so what is the point of ordering to collect?! Orders were also being despatched to customers and delivery drivers that entered the store after me. Abysmal.
