Came here for my Abuela’s birthday who passed away in August, so to find a traditional Spanish restaurant was important, this place was amazing we had 19 dishes and every single one of them was amazing not one bad thing about them, it really brought me back to Spain and I’ve tried many tapas places and nothing comes close to this amazing family run business.

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Already thinking about what we'll order next time!!! Service was relaxed and attentive. We really enjoyed our lunch. Thank you

Food was delicious, and customers service excellent

A very discombobulated dinner experience. We were served by three different servers so each time we tried to wave someone down, requests would go unnoticed or pushed on to someone else. This took even longer when asking for the bill. Wrong food was placed at our table and the drinks order was taken incorrectly. The tables are way too small to have the minimum of 5-6 dishes, so it made for a cumbersome effort to serve, rearrange plates and comfortably eat. This could somewhat be forgiven if the food quality was exceptional but it left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I would not recommend or return from this first time experience.

Service was slow. Relaxed atomosphere. The 30% discount was only on the Tapas not on all food. We choose a selection of 7 tapas. All were good apart from the pork which was extremely tough. The discount was taken off the prices but wasn't shown separately. Having checked the prices on the menu shown on their website and on The Fork they were cheaper than the menu given to us in the restaurant. This is therefore misleading and they should update their information.

I stopped for tapas at lunchtime. The croquetas were very good, washed down with half a pint of San Miguel and then a bill equal to a Ryanair flight to Spain. More than 15 quid for a quick ( tasty) snack. £3.50 was a service charge.. But was removed when I pointed out that I ordered at the bar and then paid at the bar.

We tried this Spanish restaurant for the first time, having driven past it many times. It really is excellent with a great selection of tapas as well as traditional Spanish dishes (although not migas de pastor!). Nice selection of Spanish wines too, although only House Red, White and Rioja served by the glass, which is a pity. It was quiet but it was during the Christmas week when I think most restaurants are subdued. We will definitely be back. Note that parking is dreadful around Southgate tube station but there is parking at M&S for £5 and I think you can park in the Leisure Centre car park.

We loved it! The owner was wonderful he served us personally and with enthusiasm and he loved to chat which we really liked. The food was good quality and very good value. Will definitely be coming again!!

Amazing place with proper Spanish food. The Jamon Iberico, potatoes and paella de la casa were our best choices. The service was incredible, our server made us feel at home.

We enjoyed our visit to La Paella Tapas Bar. We had the beef stew tapas and seafood paella, both of which were outstanding. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt. The atmosphere was inviting, making it a wonderful dining experience.

The food was bland unfortunately as previously it has been good. Service was basic.

Our new favourite spot in Southgate. Make sure you order the Leche Frita!

Our first visit here and we enjoyed the meal thoroughly. We had a selection of tapas. The octopus was divine. Miguel was very welcoming and it was lovely to hear the history of this restaurant which is a long standing local institution we were lucky to experience. Looking forward to next time!

Have visited this restaurant many times over around twenty years. The food is always great and there are lots of choices (I am vegetarian and never struggle to find options). Service is excellent. A very friendly place. Thoroughly recommended.

Great place for some Spanish food. The tapas I ordered were great - croquetas de la casa ( the small portion of salad that goes with it was so tasty) and Carillera Artesana de Teruel - slow cooked wild boar served on a bed of chips & paprika. Much better than most places you find out there that serve dry and flavourless. This place is awesome - the service was quick, polite and very accommodating.

My son treated me to Mother's Day lunch as I'll be cooking for my Mum in the Day. Great choices on menu and the owner was very welcoming.

My partner and I had a meal here in October and it was brilliant. The food was amazing. I am not a massive fan of seafood, but we had the seafood paella and all of it was excellent. The service was very quick (drinks & food) and very attentive. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The décor was suited the style of the restaurant and bar and the place was clean, it also had a great atmosphere. It is on a main high street; so parking is a bit of a pain, but worth it. I did notice a sign that said 'toilet are for customers only', I appreciate your in a high foot fall area (near a station), however I am/and know people with medical conditions this always makes be feel a bit negative. Other than that highly recommended.

What an amazing place! The staff are absolutely perfection, they are funny, nice and make you feel so at home .. and the food, ahh the food is beautiful we can’t wait to come back and eventually get through the whole menu! Juan (waiter) is the best waiter there is! He was funny sweet and made us feel like we knew him for years! What a wonderful man!

We went to La Paella for a birthday party with 30 guests, Miguel was extremely helpful in the lead up and made sure we had everything we needed. On the night, the whole team were lovely and very attentive, considering how many of us there were. Atmosphere was brilliant and the food was excellent too. Highly recommend for a party or a dinner/lunch for just a few.

I had a lovely experience tonight at this cosy Spanish restaurant. A very warm welcome from Miguel, delicious food and a good atmosphere. I will definitely go back in the future.

Visited twice of the weekend. First had a couple of tapas (which are very generous portions) followed by a meat paella. Excellent paella, properly cooked do all the juices had been absorbed by the rice. Packed with meat too. Second time shared 5 tapas plates and were absolutely full! Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff - gent served on Saturday, young lady on Sunday. Both excellent, efficient, attentive.

If you are a fan of Spanish food, then look no further. The food, service, atmosphere, and staff are all fantastic. An authentic restaurant that makes you feel like you are in Spain. The music is excellent, and the Tapas lunch deal is highly recommended. Remember, miss it, miss out!

In a nutshell - characterful decor, friendly service, good food, good wine, reasonable prices. A winning combination! A good restaurant to eat at with friends/ significant other and share small tapas plates. I didn't try the paella but can say the tapas is delicious. A good selection of vegetarian (and some vegan) options clearly highlighted on the menu. I especially loved the patatas bravas, the braised spinach, and the cumin chickpeas.

I have been coming to La Paella since it opened and Miguel always gives us a warm welcome. He is very friendly with a great sense of humour and he always lets me practise my dreadful Spanish. The food is tip top and his Sangria one of the best I have tasted. The churros are so delicious too. I have never had a bad meal here and all of the friends who I have brought here have loved it too. Would recommend it to everyone, there is plenty of choice and something for everyone. Muchas gracias.

A warm welcome is always a great way to start your visit to this beautiful restaurant. The service is speedy, the food is hot and delicious plus there is a wide range of food on the menu. Suitable for vegans but especially great for carnivores and pescararians. A good choice of wines and Spanish beer on tap plus bottled beers available. The front of the restaurant opens up to let the fresh air in on a sunny day, giving you the feeling you are in sunny Spain as you review the Spanish artefacts on the colourful restaurant walls. The restaurant is quaint and cosy without being on top of your fellow diners. Wild Boar with paprika on a bed of chipped potatoes is a favourite amongst all the usual suspects on the menu, plus a few other dishes that you don't see in your average tapas restaurant. I have always ate tapas here, as I enjoy a mixture of tastes and teures, hence I can't comment on the main courses but they do look and sound delicious. Two minutes walk from the local tube station. Enjoy.

Went there for my birthday dinner (23/9/23 date) with husband and kids. Absolutely gorgeous food and the man who served us helped my 8yr old practice his Spanish too! Lovely restaurant and brilliant food

I went on a Thursday at 1pm, this was a good time to go for me as it was more quiet. I was impressed with the food and was happy that what we wanted was available. The service was good. The food was high quality, fresh, tasty and the portion sizes were big enough. I especially enjoyed the fresh octopus. Was happy with the prices. I can see why this place survived the pandemic. Hope to go back with more family next time.

This is the best tapas restaurant to go to I live in Tottenham and the restaurant there are not great so I recommend this place

Nice little independent Spanish restaurant - in a unassuming location from the outside but quite cosy and the decor inside makes it feel like a little bit of Spain. A selection of tasty tapas followed by sharing a Paella de Casa, all food was cooked well and authentic. Good selection of reasonably priced Spanish wines. I'd say 4.5 stars for the food but it gets rounded up because of the atmosphere, friendly service and it is just the sort of small independent restaurant that should be supported!

Excellent tapas. The slow cooked wild boar really stood out as well as the octopus but everything was of an excellent quality. Very decent chap who runs it too: great to chat too and friendly with our kids.

Had dinner with my son here a month ago....amazing food! I'm half Spanish and it made me feel I was back home. Good value Can't wait for them to reopen ❤️

Highly disappointed with the food and the service. The tapas we ordered were not at all fresh, any taste and some clearly came from frozen. We complained and manager did not seem to care about our bad experience, was even gonna charge us for everything. On top of all that, he even accused us of eating for free. Extremely unhappy with this experience.

As the begining they have huge "coffee" banner. I bought there coffee for takeaway. Just no comment... I have asked for latte, guy thought that this is a beer... wait 5 minutes for him to actually get informations from someone from the back probably how to make this coffee... He started to do it and burn the milk at first. Pour very long 2 shots of espresso - it was half cup, top up 1/4 with hot WATER and eventually add this "bit" of burned milk on top. It was hotter than extra hot drink I have ever drink in the past. Close the cup with too big lid and I got burn with this terrible hot coffee that spill out first step I made outside. Charged 7.90£ for 2 of them... I dont even know why I have paid and let him sell that to me. Straight after I went to the shop around the corner and bought milk, pour out half of it to actually drink it and don't waste... Worst experience ever, never be back again. I was too angry to go back and ask for a refund. Edit: I wasnt in the wrong place, its area I know very well. Its very sticky to try mingle with peoples opinions, just get your staff proper training how to makea coffee. I have a bill in my pocket but I wont be as rude to post it with my review.

Was pleasantly surprised as it was a long time since I last dined here. We had a lovely meal and the dishes were fresh and tasty. Don't be put off if there aren't many diners as it is worth a try.
