Have eaten here a few times and never disappointed. - Food is excellent - very fresh & extremely tasty. - Good wine list. Not expansive but plenty of options to meet most people’s taste & budget. - Staff are excellent. Always friendly & welcoming. - Ambience is spot on. It’s always busy and there is a nice buzz about the place.

I dined here after doing the Stirling 10k run so was needing some good quality carbs. Service was excellent. The restaurant had a lovely ambience and relaxed atmosphere. We ate from the lunch 2/3 course menu which is excellent value. The food was super fresh and tasty. The panne cotta was tremendous, so creamy and loved the coffee flavour. Would definetely return!

Super Italian. All the classics my family love in an Italian, garlic bread, bolognaise. Plenty of variety, pizza, pasta, steak and so on. Friendly quick service made this a very enjoyable evening.

My husband and I wanted to have Italian while we were in Scotland, and this tasted better than some of the food we had in Italy (previous vacation spot)! I had the Bolognese, and it was easily one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. What a lovely surprise! Service was great, food was excellent, and I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a romantic spot to enjoy a meal!

Sadly food was too salty to eat

Not child friendly AT ALL. I had booked a table for 2 (with a pram - which was included on the booking) for a birthday. Me, my partner and my 5 month old son (in a pram) were seated at a table in the corner of the restaurant (out of the way), blocking both the disabled toilet and the fire exit. On entering the restaurant the staff were very friendly, the only issue at that point was navigating through the restaurant with a pram, which there was not space to easily pass through and I expect would be worse for any wheelchair users. The baby changing facilities are in the hot (sauna-esk) disabled toilet, behind our table (which was not easy to get into). The baby changing table is broken in multiple places and heavily stained. The disabled toilet is also used to store cleaning equipment and other random items (not child friendly). Above all else, service was good up until my son started crying. He could barely be heard over the noise of the busy and bussling restaurant on a Saturday night and both my partner and I were quick to react to him and calm him down. However, from that point the service dramatically changed. The servers were trying to take our plates away before we'd finished eating, they seemed annoyed when my partner asked if we could order more drinks and within seconds of us finishing our meals, the bill was brought over (without any suggestion that we wanted the bill or were finished in the restaurant). I paid the bill, making no issue; we sat for a couple of minutes after (finishing our drinks) and the server came over suggesting they needed our table for another booking (the first mention of such). I do not take pleasure in sharing this as we have been there multiple times before and had wonderful food and great service, but after tonight's treatment, I will NOT be returning or recommending La Cucina to others.

Food was really bad, soup tasted like it was blasted in the microwave for ages. Bread was hard. There was a little worm in the salad. Steak was so under cooked - asked for medium and got rare. All you could hear was the chefs laughing in the background. Only thing was the waiter was really nice. However the bill was so expensive and the experience was very disappointing

Lunch set menu: two courses for £17.95. Very good value for quality food.

Excellent seafood spaghetti …mussels , langoustine, clam, squid . Followed by homemade tiramisu . Great atmosphere and friendly service . Highly recommend !

Fantastic place, wonderful food. Awesome flavours. Highly recommended. No loud music. Pleasant staff. The starter was focaccia brusheta for two, wild boar ravioli and chicken breast with Parma ham, cheese and asparagus. Obviously a popular place, saw plenty of take aways being collected.

Not able to book online, but telephone did the job. Our group of six was too big. One of several restaurant in the main street and environs. Attentively looked after, and excellent fare. One of our number had a starter doubled up as a main, which was no problem. Pleasant atmosphere, without being too noisy. Thoroughly recommended.

Myself and my husband felt very hungry after a visit to Doune Castle, so we searched online, found this highly rated restaurant and decided we’d give it a try. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I haven’t felt so happy and satisfied after eating out in a long time! My husband had the calzone and I had the Penne Norcina, which the waiter kindly recommended when I couldn’t decide which meal to order. Absolutely delicious! For dessert, we shared the Coppa Amaretto, which was also delicious. Top quality food, good quantities and very satisfying. The wait staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and didn’t make us feel rushed or pressured to choose anything from the menu, or to leave quickly. If we ever manage a holiday to Scotland again, I hope to go back to this place. I highly recommend it, which is rare for me to do with restaurants!

As good as Italy! It was lovely to eat at La Cucina and felt like being back home. The staff was very nice and the food great, served quickly and nicely presented too. The prices are very honest for the amount of food and the quality you get. Will definitely go back there to have a taste of Italy

Food is top notch, and extremely tasty. It’s very well priced and the portions are quite generous. This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in central Scotland.

Passing through and decided to drop in for dinner Staff were friendly and attentive My spaghetti meatballs were delicious the best I have ever had, the vegetable pizza tasted a little bit salty for my taste Very quick bite to eat in and out within an hour perfect for us I will use the restaurant again

Had a very tasty meal and we all enjoyed every course. Big portions so go with a good appetite. My only criticism, and I accept it's a matter of personal taste, I found the focaccia too salty . The staff are polite and efficient. I would recommend.

Great service, good price can't fault the food my family and I ate. It was a shame there was no steak despite both fillet and sirloin being listed on the menu. I had the carbonara which was lovely, but it wasn't steak.

Consistently great food and good service. There’s always a board with ‘specials’ on offer. The restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere.

As ‘locals’ we’ve eaten here regularly however not so much recently. Place was fairly busy however we were really disappointed with the food. I don’t have a big appetite but my chicken margelina was a tiny piece which was over cooked with a sauce served with some potatoes. It was not particularly hot either. If I’d served this at home I would not have been happy at all but I also still felt hungry when I’d finished. My husband had penne norcina. There were 4 pieces of sausage no larger than a 10p coin. The chicken dish was almost £19 and the pasta dish was almost £14. We were with friends both of whom have also eaten there regularly and were disappointed. We didn’t complain because we were with friends and the waiters were doing their best. As we left, we had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke at the door- one of the staff was standing in the doorway smoking- which is a regular occurrence -as I walk past regularly. A very disappointing experience and we won’t be back any time soon. Sad!!!!

Lovely prosciutto pizza, with rocket and parmesan shavings. Went on Thursday evening but they close quick, people cam in at 20.25 and were turned away

Authentic Italian restaurant. The quality and value of the meals is excellent, with special mention to the lunchtime menu, an excellent wee midweek treat now and then. Portion size is generous. It can get busy and as a consequence service can slow a little bit, but it’s worth it for food this nice. Parking in BofA can be a right pain at times but the village is that small that even parking in a side street you’re less than five minutes walk from on the restaurant.

Great Italian food! The chef is truly Italian and the food is the closest to traditional, homemade Italian food I’ve found around Stirling. We went two days ago (Sunday, February 18). We went for lunch right at the opening time (12) and we were the first costumers, but it seems like a popular place. You might want to make reservations if you go a little bit later. There are many options in the menu, but you can ask for swaps if you have any dietary restrictions. My husband ordered one of the three-course menu specials they offer and I ordered from the regular menu. My husband had a starter dish of mushrooms stuffed with cream of mushroom and bacon that was very tasty, the fish of the day which we were told it was cod, and the dessert of the day which was profiterole filled with vanilla cream, covered in kind of a chocolate ganache and a dollop of crème fraîche. The dessert was delicious and sweet to perfection! Not too sweet, but not too plain either. We actually enjoyed the flavors because they were not overpowered by sugar. I ordered the “Fritto misto di mare” which is a mix of different fish lightly battered and fried. Not only it was delicious and cooked to perfection, but it was also a big sized dish. I had to take half of it home. I also ordered a side dish of seasonal vegetables. The prices are reasonable. I did order a more expensive dish, but you basically get two meals out of it so it’s worth it. The service is very good and very willing to help you make choices and swaps based on what they have available and your specific needs. Everyone we talked to were friendly and polite. We would definitely recommend it if you like real Italian food!

We came here for a Sunday lunch with friends. The set meal menu was brilliant, good options that suited everyone at our table (including a one year old). No kids menu but they do smaller portions. Service was great and attentive. Portions were great and really good value for money. Think it's my new favourite Italian.

I have visited La Cucina on several occasions however, due to work commitments it’s been some time. Well it did not disappoint. My family and I went for an evening meal (6 of us) and every one of us were delighted with the service, the quality of food and the over atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff are very polite and have a great knowledge of the menu, which helps when there is so many great dishes to choose from. I had mussels to start with followed by spaghetti mare, both were outstanding. Great portions and at a very reasonable price. Excellent selection of wine is also on offer. Overall we had a great night. Superb experience and fantastic food. Definitely recommend and we will be back

What an absolutely fantastic meal. As a table of 8, we tried a range of starters and mains, and they were all exceptional. The service was very polite and attentive, and the atmosphere really good. We've all eaten in plenty of Italian restaurants over the country, and this one is a complete gem. The food had that authentic Italian background flavour you usually only get in Italy. That's all we can say really. Don't miss this one!

We come here quite often and the food is always consistently delicious. It is served in a courteous manner and is well priced. It is always a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Family pre Christmas visit. Lovely food maybe a wee bit pricey for some of the main courses but good quality never the less

Lacklustre,no ambiance.Got the lunch menu £15.95. The starter was good mushrooms with bread. The puttanesca sauce was nice ,but the spaghetti must have been the cheapest thinnest,served up broken bits.This is no Sugo or la Molisana.Little or no anchovy taste. The arrabiata had two whole chillies in it ,so hot as to be almost inedible.Its meant to have a "chilli bite".The penne was not al dente. Congrats to the chef for a new dish vindaloo arrabiata. An off day?

The best Italian restaurant in Stirling. Always has great customer service. Always feel looked after by the staff. The food is consistently a high standard. The starters are really incredible, and the desserts are truly authentic. Nice buzzing atmosphere. Always walk away happy at the end of the meal. Recommend dining here if you’re in town.

Extended family lunch in this lovely Italian Restaurant. Great menu choices with some Italian classics (including Pizza). I chose the Beef Carpaccio to start and Seafood Spaghetti as a main course and there was an abundance of Seafood to get through ! Daily specials also offered. Great drinks choices and selection of wines. Serving staff very friendly. I'm in envy of the locals as this is a true gem of a place. Shame I live over 400 miles away as would be making a visit to La Cucina a weekly staple. Will certainly return as soon as I can.

Fantastic afternoon in a superb, chilled, friendly wee place!!! Ages ranged from 83 to 14! Table of 11 and staff were 1st class! Food totally amazing and great value for money😋 Will definitely be returning very soon!

The best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten in. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with such a warm welcome. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are amazing and the food is exceptional. I can't wait to visit again. All of our dishes were cooked to perfection. This is a must if you want the best Italian cuisine this is the restaurant to book.

So disappointed. I took my daughter out for our tea. My main meal was cool so spoke to waiter. He took it away, then informed me the chef would put in back in the pan. It came back much hotter. Food was super. However after the re-heat no one came to ask if things were okay, in fact no one came back to the table at all until the end. We were asked if we required desert. Said we were full. Waiter walked away and came back with the bill. Still not asked if things were okay. Paid with card Waiter took payment and walked away. My daughter had a tip ready to leave but we just went out. I have been here before and service was nothing like this.

Went here for my graduation dinner and again as a treat and both times the manager was out front not only talking to customers but taking our orders, delivering our food etc etc etc. clearly a very hands on manager who takes his job seriously. Staff both times were incredibly attentive and we felt that we could ask a staff member for a refill/extra starter with no problem. Got the same starter and main course both times and the food was 10/10. Atmosphere is wonderful. Cannot wait to go again sometime

We are regulars at this lovely restaurant and we enjoyed another fabulous lunch there on Friday. We didn’t book but we were lucky to get a table as it was busy. The staff are polite and welcoming plus very efficient. My husband had the lunch fixed price menu and I chose a starter off the main menu plus a half portion of a pasta dish also from the main menu. Everything was of an extremely high standard and so tasty. This restaurant cooks the best mussels I’ve ever eaten. I would highly recommend. Portions are very generous too.

Paid La Cucina a visit whilst we were stopping in Sterling. Well worth the trip over to Bridge of Allan a beautiful place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Really good food tried nine plates between us and everything was really good. Busy busy place that added to a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and return

It’s noisy, but not unpleasantly so. We’ve been twice, once with friends, once as a couple. Both times, we were very happy. Try the mussels, the seafood risotto, and the veal Marsala. All delicious.

Visited here on New Year's Eve after managing to get a last minute booking. Food was fantastic and so flavourful. We shared a starter and had a main meal each. Service was excellent, staff friendly and professional. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced given the location/area. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area, only a short walk away. Definitely recommend and will be back.

The food exceptional as always and brilliant wine! But what really made the night was the server, Dan I believe with the blue shirt was amazing, made the experience so personable and was attentive! Was a nice difference from a few months ago where service was a bit dry so thankyou for a lovely evening!

Took a trip to Bridge of Allan and fpund a lovely italian La Cucina. We opted for the three course lunch as thei menu was so nice. We had minestrone soup, so tasty lots of lovely veg and piping hot, our main course was chicken which came in a tomato sauce with lots of peppers and onions, this came with roast potatoes carrots and shredded red cabbage, it was very tasty. Our dessert was pannacotta with strawberries and a dark chocolate sauce so good. Would highly recommend this little gem definetely worth a visit. Staff were very welcoming 😀

We were a party of 5 -- four adults and a 9yr-old -- booked in (just after lunchtime the day before) for 6PM on a Thurs night. This was only the second time we've been in, but both times have been very reliable and tasty. The atmosphere is quiet and a little upscale. It's a moderately special occasion sorta place for us. I mentioned that one of us might need to leave early, and they accommodated our sharpish schedule no problem. We had two appetizers, mains, and desserts. The waiter had no problem choosing a wine for me and I enjoyed his suggestion (even though I changed my choice of mains from a creamy pasta to one with red sauce). I'm sure we will be back.

Fabulous 60th birthday celebration with family. Food outstanding, service second to none in this authentic Italian restaurant. We all loved the atmosphere. Staff sang happy birthday and had decorated the table. Excellent night, highly recommended.
