Kozi Cafe in Glasgow City

Awesome, fresh food offering a slightly different menu from the norm with lovely customer focused staff. The portion sizes were good and their coffee and bread alone are worth a visit. I can't wait to go back and try something else from their menu.

The food was tasty, rich and in good portions. My cappuccino was also good, but not outstanding. Therefore only 4 stars. The service was friendly and accommodating. There was a slightly burnt smell in the restaurant, which bothered us a bit. It was also so cold that you had to sit with a jacket on. Heating probably wasn't worth it on a Monday morning since it's relatively big there (I understand that to some extent).

Ordered a sourdough toast with salmon, poached eggs & asparagus + and French toast with bacon & egg. Very Happy with the Lovely presentation and taste!

Came for brunch and had a lovely time. I had the Turkish eggs with halloumi which were so delicious, my dad had the chicken focaccia and said it was the best breakfast he’d ever had! Portions sizes were great, and the price was very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and nice ambience. I’ll definitely be back to try the pancakes!

Breakfast had quite long wait tea nearly finished by time food came breakfast was greasy some bacon was burnt egg looked like it had been fried in dirt greasy pan but I must say the food that was being served at other tables looked lovely pancakes and the steak with the sourdough bread looked nice think my breakfast was cooked on same stove ,pan as the steak had been fried maybe that's why my breakfast was greasy

Focaccia bread was amaaaazing. Best spot for a bite! Coffee was so good and the vegan fry up was legendary. Will def come back.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, very impressed. Stopped off here as we were early to an appointment, wasn't expecting much, but came away really impressed. We had the vegan breakfast + a sausage because I fancied something a bit lighter than the standard fryup, but still wanted a cheeky bit of protein. It was so so good! Great variety and so many diverse flavours. Highlights were the charred pak choi which was just at the perfect crunchy/soft point and had a delightful caramelised char. My only notes would be the fried bread was a touch too greasy and the beans were a bit watery. Other than that, fantastic! 9/10

I love the place so much and i would come back again and crave for it to be honest. The breakfast(turkish eggs) was delicious and the food portions are amazing and i was really full and it was quite in the morning which made me happy because i had a baby who was trying to sleep. The pancake was nice but not wow, i have enjoyed it.

Honestly everything was top tier, food, staff, interior. Portions are huge and everything was super tasty! I will definitely be back 😊

Had a deLIGHTful meal here while the morning sun came up through the buildings across the street. So cozy and magical. The food was amazing. Definitely the best breakfast I've had in town, esp if you like a thick toast! This was deluxe. I got the toasted sourdough (could have been more toasted) with avocado, asparagus, poached eggs and smoked salmon. I added halloumi and that was an excellent decision. This was a beautiful pile of flavors. I relished every bite. I'm only sorry I don't have any more mornings left here in town to enjoy it again! Took a take away coffee. The mocha was delicious, and even though I usually order mine half sweet, this one was perfect as is, so it's not too sweet. Full of absolutely melt in your mouth Italian chocolate, but not overly sugary. They were very informative about the drinks so I could choose well. The space is comfortable, the music is good and not too loud, the staff is kind and friendly, very efficient, food came out quickly and hot! This is just around the corner from the Trongate. Very accessible from many parts of town. They deserve all the business you want to give them!

Ordered pancakes with strawberries and chocolate sauce. It was wonderful, you get lots of chocolate sauce (so chocolate lovers here is your place!) we also ordered a cappuccino and a matcha latte. Unfortunately, the drinks were disappointing. Both were lukewarm and the matcha latte was bitter. Other than that, amazing service and atmosphere!

Finally found a great breakfast near me while i was visiting Glasgow. Pleasant and accommodating staff, great food and strong coffee. Thanks guys.

We accidentally came at possibly their busiest hour, but the staff were so nice and offered to give us a call when there was space. <3 After a short wait, we had such an amazing time!! We ordered the chocolate and fruit pancakes, the bacon and egg stack French toast, and the toasted sourdough with avocado and salmon! Everything was absolutely lovely and we highly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be back ^^

I recently visited this spot for brunch and had gotten the Turkish eggs. The food was okay, but I prefer my food to be more seasoned. That said the portion size was generous, and there was a variety of ingredients. The place was clean, and there was no wait time. While the food didn’t impress me, I’ll definitely be back for their amazing looking pancakes.

Had brunch at Kozi Glasgow and it was awesome. Had the Turkish eggs, Croque Madame, Kimchi Scrambled eggs, and a special Burrata and Serano Jamon.

Found this place via Instagram, saw the pancakes and simply HAD to come. Oh boy was it worth it! Pancakes HUGE, yet light and fluffy. Nutella lathered between each layer and on top. Accompanied by fresh strawberries and a jar of hot chocolate sauce (incase the Nutella wasn't enough). Really amazing portion sizes and tasted amazing. Biscoff hot chocolate was the best one I've had! (two biscuits as well!). Staff friendly and welcoming. I think if you're sitting at the window it's a nicer atmosphere, but we were sitting towards the back of the cafe and it was a bit dark and sparse. Could do with a few more bits & pieces and maybe a repaint to brighten the place up and make it more cosy. Can't fault the food & service, will definitely be back for these pancakes again!

Got the special on focaccia which came with a ball of burrata, roasted tomatoes and cured meat. Was absolutely delicious and filling. Would highly recommend.

A bit shocked at the lack of service from what was an amazing cafe - had to leave after half an hour of no service

I went for brunch at the newly opened Kozi Cafe and it was a really lovely experience. The food was amazing and freshly prepared. The service was lovely and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can see how much thought went into the the new location and the new menu with also some vegan options available. The coffee was also really great!! Will definitely come again!

Nice place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The food was amazing! Very tasty and large portions, if maybe a bit too oily. Only one option marked as vegan which wasn't ideal, but the chef was happy to exchange the cheese in a vegetarian focaccia for another vegan item for me thus making it vegan :) food prices are good for the size and effort that goes into everything. Sourdough with scrambled eggs and avocado had what looked like a whole avocado on it! Drinks are a bit expensive and they charge a whole 50p for plant-based milk. One downside which is the reason I'm giving 4 not 5 stars, is that there was only one chef in the kitchen serving all tables in the cafe on a busy Sunday mid morning. This is obviously not enough and the poor man was clearly overworked, and as expected the wait times were very long for food. I saw our order only starting to be prepped after 30 min from ordering and we waited 40 min in total which is just too long! This can hopefully be sorted soon though because the note on the door says they're recruiting.

We came across this gem of a place on a visit to Glasgow. They informed us it had just moved and opened. The service was friendly, welcoming . And the food was absolutely amazing, one of best full breakfasts I've had. Will visit again when in the area.

Gorgeous cafe with very friendly staff and great food. I tried the chicken focaccia and my friend tried the Turkish eggs and both were so delicious! The lovely waitress mentioned the bread is made by them and it is so good! I'd highly suggest snagging the window seats, the sun shines in the morning through it and it feels so charming! Definitely will be a place I'll revisit!

Had never been here before but it’s a lovely community cafe. What fab fresh food at an elevated level which was totally unexpected!

I feel the need to write this review because of how good this whole experience was. The food was amazing - I am a regular brunch goer in Glasgow, particularly the Southside, and this tops them all (which is pretty hard to do). Lovely coffee. Great service (I dropped my knife and had barely picked it up and a new one was given to me). Nice playlist on in the background. I’m already arranging to come back!

How have I never heard of this place before?!? Honestly this place is amazing. Food was fantastic, huge portions. service was great, price was amazing… what’s not to love? My partner got steak with poached eggs and Avacado. I got the chicken burger and chips (Double chicken breast). Throw in a cappuccino and a coke - total £26. Bargain! My partner is gluten free and before deciding on the steak we were made aware that menu items with bread could all be made gluten free 👍 Will be back. Again and again!

This is such a gem of a place. Delicious food, good portions, pretty presentation. The waitress was lovely + did her best to accommodate our large group.

In my experience, this is a hit-or-miss place. When it’s full, the food isn’t the best, and the wait can be over half an hour. They’re short-staffed for such a popular place during lunchtime. Now, when it’s less busy, great service and food. For a place rated 5 stars, one expects consistency and good service all the time.

What a secret little gem of a find! Home made food including soup, their own focaccia and cake - it's rare to find somewhere that puts real effort in that also tastes good. It's a small cafe but perfectly formed and the service is friendly. Even better, if they also stocked good quality loose leaf teas but that's more my little thing.

This is a brilliant place to eat as the food is always great. It is freshly cooked so is not always the fastest but well worth the wait. It’s not a big cafe so not suitable for large groups but perfect for families and couples.

First time trying Kozi cafe, the service was really friendly and accommodating, the menu selection was decent. Very generous portion sizes for drinks / food and good value. Definitely return in future, just not as much as we could as it isn't dog friendly (which is understandable).

Food and drink served very quickly, staff was very friendly, even asked us whether we wanted a draft from outside or not. Overall very nice and very cozy cafe!

Our favourite local. The focaccia's are brilliant. Ingredients always fresh.Desserts are also very nice, coffee is good. Staff are fab. Only downside is, when paying by card today, there was no option to tip, so I'll bring cash and double the tip next time! :)

Really exceptional 👏 👌 We were up from Essex/ London visiting my daughter and her partner. Met them here for breakfast every morning. An excellent varied and nutritious menu 😋 We could easily have eaten there for a whole week and had a different option each morning. Lovely fresh food, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented! Highly recommended. Our compliments to the chef.

I had a fantastic vegan breakfast here. The food was imaginative and well portioned at a good price. It was by far the most interesting and delicious vegan breakfast I've had in a long time. To go with the staples of veggie sausage, hash browns, baked beans etc, there was also focaccia bread, asparagus, and a really tasty plantain. My wife had a scrambled Greek omelette on focaccia, which she raved about. If we lived closer we'd be here every week!

Brilliant little cafe. It takes a bit of time for the food to be prepared, but that's a good thing because an awful lot of care is taken regarding quality and presentation, both of which are second to none. Also, everything is very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. The only downfall is the Italian Aroma coffee, but I'm willing to let that one slide. 5 stars across the board.

Small cafe with big big energy! Ordered the special, which was Turkish Eggs! Something I've never tried before. Very tasty! Similar to baked eggs. Shared some pancakes for dessert, which were phenomenal!! Don't think I could have eaten them all myself. Our server Irina was so lovely and very attentive! Brilliant experience, thanks so much!

Had been working since 7am one Monday morning, and had time between jobs, so decided to go grab something to eat and a coffee. Cathcart Road seems to be fast becoming Glasgow's coffee shop capital, and Kozi Cafe was one I was still to try out, and have to say easily the best. Great little bistro-cafe vibe with a really warm and inviting welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Ordered a breakfast roll and a coffee to go, and was freshly prepared in no time. Now my go to place in Glasgow for coffee, and if in the area again, will go out of my way to visit here.

Govanhill Gem. Delicious food. Delightful people. Don't hesitate give yourself a treat. The Tuna sandwich, The Soup, The poached eggs. You will not be disappointed.

We went here as a family of 3 on a busy Sunday morning. We were lucky to have a table available when we arrived. The staff were warm and inviting and made us feel at ease straight we’re also very attentive to our young daughter. We ordered our coffees which arrived quickly and the ordered our food. The staff made a nice touch of bringing our daughters food out first which alllwed us time to feed her before our food arrived. The pancakes we ordered were incredible and the fry us was full of flavour yet not greasy. We will definitely be returning for the food and the service. I would recommence getting in early as it fills up very quickly.

Stunning and generous food, beautifully cooked and presented. We went two days running whilst in Glasgow for the weekend. Pancakes, full breakfast and avocado and bacon on sourdough toast all delicious. Great coffee. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
