Korykos Turkish Restaurant in Sutton

Popped in for a takeaway for my team and I after working late nearby. Was really impressed with the service and food. Flavours of the lamb and humous were well balanced and subtle and the portions also generous. It felt like being in Turkey, very authentic! Manager and lady who served us could not have been more accommodating despite being busy with lots of other diners. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely return. Garry

If we have no idea what to cook for the dinner, we will come here to eat the kebab. Their kebabs are delicious, juicy and well season. Usually we love to order the chicken kebab. Also, the restaurant is spacious, clean and tidy. Staffs are friendly. So I also recommend it to my friends.

They offer a 10% lunch time dine in promo (outside on menu) Upon receipt of the bill they did not offer this and refused to honor it when challenged. I think this is deceptive. They gained £2. They lost future revenue and business. Times are tough for all of us but acting this way isn’t the answer.

For no particular reason we have not been to this restuarant for a while but my wife jane booked a early time 6.00pm for a eveing diner for the 4 of us and oh what have we been missing the staff that served us were just superb and all the dishes we had where off the scale just beautiful. Thanks once again Jane & Rob Manor way.

Highly recommended. Food was good, although drinks a bit pricey. Sat on the "verandah ", so had to put up with the selfish twats that drive up Manor Road with exhausts blaring, but we have got so used to this in Wallington! Don't let that put you off, though

Have been coming here for years. The food is always fresh and delicious, the manager is very attentive but not over bearing. Great relaxed atmosphere.

We were greeted warmly and treated nice enough throughout our visit. That and the bottled lager were the only real positives. Unfortunately the bread was evidently old as it was extremely dry, this is unacceptable really as there’s a great Turkish bakery 5 minute walk away. The rest of the food was OK but very bland. Meat quality was also not great. Will not return l which is a shame as we are extremely local. It’s overpriced too.

Came here for the first time ever today , & can honestly say I will 100 percent be returning this will now be my birthday dinner restaurant. We even came at 10 and they shut at 10:30 we wasn’t rushed to eat staff are lovely and welcoming thank you :) food was 100/100 we got chicken shish & rice lamb and chips & kids meal wings and chips belly’s was full and good portions thank you again.

My family and I have been going here for years and we absolutely love it. The food is excellent with very generous portions. A really relaxing and welcoming environment. Team are always so friendly and look after all their guests so well. Would highly recommend. One of our favourite restaurants around!

just love this place obsessed with the chilli sauce. Kids portion is a decent size! my only negative is no salad and thankfully ordered chilli sauce as it didn't come with the usual free sauce!

Acceptable taste of food, some over-seasoned, however waiting time and service in empty restaurant was ridiculous. Taking away dishes that still had food on it and we weren’t finished, serving one main, starters and not serving other 2 mains for 30 min… I can understand food took some time, but 20 min for drinks, what a joke.. and then when we wanted to leave they charged the drinks on the bill even though they didn’t bring them. Had to ask to cancel it, which they did. Will not come back again and will not recommend to others. Very poor service which is surprising for a Turkish restaurant.

love the food good size and the chilli sauce is so nice, the only issue is the price of the sauce, way to expensive!

Our meals were excellent, the service however was a bit lacking, a little smile would have gone a long way. A bit more attention as well.

Great food, amazing taste, but you don’t get much for what you pay! It’s heavily priced for what you get. So see it as a treat, because the food is really nice!

I’ve been here because my sister sugestión and been a couple of times. On last day, I’ve had an amazing soup that made me lose my flight damn it, I guess was worth it 😅

Dreadful meal. I’ve eaten here in the past and there was some pride in what was served but not tonight. I had the chicken yogurt shish - chicken on top of cold soggy bread and dollop of cold yogurt on top - the food was hardly warm. - all served in one oval dish on a plate No rice , no salad just chicken on mush 🙁🤢 £17+ for that!! Thank goodness for the bread kindly offered when we arrived - that was beautiful but not enough for me to want to go again.

I went to Korykos for a Christmas dinner as most of my party is not a big fan of pub food and we thought we couldn't go wrong with Turkish food. And indeed we didn't! The food was amazing (although the fish was a bit overcooked), very generous portions and all very tasty. The service was ok, but we did have to ask for everything like ketchup, extra glasses as they didn't offer. And one thing that left us quite disappointed was that we weren't offered dessert, which was included in the set Christmas menu, but we did pay the full price. We didn't ask either because we were having a good time and we had to leave quite abruptly due to children in our party, however waiting for more than 30min after having had our main course and still no dessert is not acceptable. Might return here because the food was really good but if I do I would make sure to order everything upfront and check the bill thoroughly at the end.

Excellent Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant, probably the best in the area, always very tasty food and top service. Surely we’ll come again!

What a fabulous night we had at Korykos. I wore a lovely pair of cream jumbo cords from Next and I paired those with a crisp white shirt by George at Asda. I was there with my family (pictures uploaded) to celebrate my engagement to the love of my life Roger. On entering the restaurant the waiter removed my jumbo cords and socks and proceeded to wash my legs and feet, it was glorious. I have never received that type of service anywhere. We were then carried to our table where drinks and nibbles we waiting. The food arrived swiftly and piping hot, i ordered meat. On finishing the meal I put my jumbo cords and socks back on snogged all the waiters and done a runner. 10 out of 10, great night.

What a horrible birthday experience 🎉 We called this restaurant beforehand to ask if their restaurant is wheelchair accessible - they said yes . Unfortunately, when we turned up we found out the hard way . This restaurant is absolutely not wheelchair friendly, even their service was atrocious & unfriendly they didn’t even try to accommodate our wheelchair or disability needs. Additionally, the food was overcooked , tasteless and wasn’t freshly prepared. Overall We had the worst birthday lunch and definitely wouldn’t consider going back to that restaurant again.

A very pleasant, clean, modern, venue with friendly, welcoming, staff. Initial service could have been a bit quicker, especially as wasn't that busy, but the rest of service was very good. The food and atmosphere were excellent, and a very enjoyable meal was had. Advise booking in the evening as will get busy, but perfect for a stop-off anytime. Parking available on side roads nearby.

Sorry but the worst Turkish Restaurant I have eaten in...there are two amazing ones in Cheam & Colliers Wood so rather travel which is a shame as this is so close. Bland food & no atmosphere....

¡Hi everybody! That was my first time I was in Korykos restaurant with my biggest son and we were surprised😊 The portions was big and very very delicious. I will come back for sure with my family and friends. Thank a lot for a waitress Hamit and for a cocker too. Congratulation Korykos, ¡keep it up! 🥂

This order was very poor on many fronts. The portion size was small and not value for money at all! 17.50 for a chicken kebab, rice and salad. The container was only half full! The order was late and the rice and chicken cold. The bread was soggy. The halep sauce was horrible, it was simply blended canned tomatoes. No seasoning at all. A complete waste of money. I want a full refund.

Lovely place to eat, it's a little forgotten where it's located. But I really like it here. The food is really nice and bountyful, i like to take leftovers home. They do not do any draught beers but they have a good selection of drinks.

Portion size is so small and the quality of meat is not very good. The price is very high and the food should match but it does not.

Food is so fr sh and delicious and people are so friendly… but it’s a shame Uber adds minimum £1.50 per item plus service fee plus delivery and it puts the price up too much and makes it expensive. That might put some people off!!!

They took our booking of 4 people with 4 prams (this was explained on the booking and I called them before hand) and when we turned up they told us half way through our meal that they had no baby changing facilities! We had to leave the restaurant to change our babies elsewhere. So disappointing

Really impressed by the Turkish red wine and the food. We indulged in two rounds from the starters menu rather than having mails.

Out for the evening with my boy so after a couple of pints in the pub we came over the road to Korykos and were warmly welcomed and shown to table - we both went for the mixed grill which was served after the lovely bready vinegar dip and very nice meats they were too - in particular the lamb shish was excellent - service was very attentive and polite - we will be back soon I think

A very popular local dinner spot. We went for an early dinner on a Friday night and watched the place fill up. The service was excellent and all our dishes were served really promptly, even as it started to get busier. I loved the falafel starter and the flatbreads for the table. The kalamari was also a winner. My main however was a little disappointing - I ordered a spicy prawn dish that came with chips but the components didn't really seem to go together and there was no heat to the dish. The chicken shish was delicious though so live and learn!

Called the restaurant and was given great service from the start - I had a few questions about the menu and he was happy to explain to me and accommodate changes. Gave us plenty of chilli sauces and bread on the side, Meal was enjoyed by all the family and the friendly service was the cherry on the top thank you

If not the best its definitely one of the best Turkish food experiences I've had, the service is great, the food was the star of the show. We ordered a platter to share, the team were busy and forgot to bring chilli sauce and other condiments. That was not even an issue, I've never eaten meat that tasted so good without the extra condiments, there was no fighting with chewy overcooked lamb chops. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Definitely will be returning.

The food is full of flavour and tastes really fresh! The portion sizes are generous and very welcomed in these tough times. The staff are attentive and makes you feel very welcome, almost like it is your home. I came here with my partner a month ago, in all honesty we didn’t have high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with everything. We came back from our first trip to turkey and was amazed by the culture and food, luckily for us we have a place locally where we can really feel the culture again. This is a great place and is now my local go-to place to socialise with friends.

At first i must admit i was hesitant however after going inside the experience was amazing. The bartender offered me the menu but i already knew what i wanted. After placing my order he offered me Turkish tea, which is the best tea i have had ever. I would recommend this restaurant for sure.

The meal was awful. Service was mediocre. Very disappointing as I had heard this restaurant was exceptional . However this must have been before it opened again after lockdown.

Im a regular customer here and i really like the food however it is very hit n miss. Tonight they forgot my rice and portions were tiny, chips were terrible.

Really nice food and can't complain. The only complaint was the portion size of the mix grill. I was extremely disappointed with the portion size. The portion size did not reflect the price.

Had a wonderful first time experience at Korykos last night. It was a meal for my birthday (a family group of 7) and I wasn't disappointed. Restaurant was busy and atmosphere was good. Great interaction with the owner and all the staff, nothing was a problem for them. But most of all, the food was excellent. We had the Party special option, so you get a taste of a lot of the menu. Will definitely be returning.

We used to bring our family to this restaurant all the time and would drive from Wimbledon specifically to do so as we enjoyed the atmosphere, customer service and food. unfortunately, all three aspects have really gone downhill. We recently moved back to the area in Dec 2021 and were really looking forward to going back to our favourite Turkish restaurant but we were really disappointed. Firstly we tried the takeaway and they got our order drastically wrong, we ordered a mix grill for two people what turned up was not even enough to satisfy a child's portion. We then gave them the benefit of the doubt and a week later went to the restaurant to eat. despite being excited by the much larger portion sizes in the restaurant (which was a bit of a shame to be so different from takeaway portions) I had to wait 45min for my main to not even arrive and when asked the waiter to take off my £6.50 service charge because I didn't even get my main meal, he just grunted ok and didn't even apologise in any way. He didn't even come and check on us when half the meals we served. on a table of four only two mains arrived and he could clearly see we only had two but we couldn't even get his attention to ask where our other meals were as he just sat on his phone watching very loud tiktocks for all to hear. In addition to the bad service, several bits of the chicken kebab we ordered were raw and chewy. To add insult to injury there was only one other table in the restaurant with a total of 6 people eattting in total

Very expensive and does not match the quality of the food. The portions are quite small despite the price you pay. They add extra salad and other sides which is alright but overall it’s much better to eat in the restaurant rather than having it delivered.

Real gem of a restaurant The staff were really friendly The food and wine were excellent I had the beef steak and others in our party had the chicken Sweets pretty good and to finish off a coffee Great views over the harbours

I ordered a mixed grill by delivery. The food arrived within half an hour. The salad was crisp and fresh with a slice of lemon. The meat was beautifully cooked especially the chicken and the rice delicious. It even came with side servings of fresh chilli sauce and tzatziki. Didn’t have room to eat the bread as well. All well worth the price and the gentleman delivered it with a smile. Well worth it!

Lovely Restaurant The owner is quite careful about all matters, food is exceptional, tasty and the place is nice and cozy. Mix kebab, smoked aubergine , yogurt , garlic and delicious lamb chops. Everything, including wine and deserts was very delicious. I highly recommend Korykos

Myself and my family visited this restaurant on 02/09. My Dad ordered a lamb shank which when it was served was frozen all the way through. Whilst the owner/manager (if you can call him that) offered to make my Dad a new meal and muttered an almost inaudible ‘sorry’ by the time it arrived, we would have finished our meal. We shared our food with my Dad so he was not left eating alone and when we asked for the bill, the was chucked down in front of us. As someone who works in the customer service sector, I am amazed by the lack of customer care. You have served someone an inedible frozen meal and offer no real apology or even a complimentary drink the person you served it to. When I advised the ‘manager’ that I would leave a review, he had the audacity to follow myself and my family out of the restaurant shouting ‘what do you want me to do’ over and over (in front of the other diners). If he needs us to answer this question, then maybe this isn’t the job for him. So all in all, the meals that weren’t frozen were mediocre at best and not worth nearly £17 each and the service was abysmal. Please think before spending your hard earned money on this business, you’d be better off at a spoons.

Second time in this present month we visited had to come again as first time I thought was maybe just that evening , but it was not! and I have to say we feel it’s gone down hill ! Felt like everything for staff was a chore , service was not good at all kept having to ask! TBH food was bland. And had to ask to shut the door as the smell of cigarettes breezed through the door , felt like I had smoked 20 cigs time I left ! Spicy prawns not spicy. Waited for accompaniments with mains, puddings served with strawberry ice cream which wasn’t requested vanilla would have been more appropriate, asked for coffee no milk or sugar given asked again twice then received milk without sugar. Asked again. Think they wasn’t happy when we asked to pay for drinks as the food bill was being paid separately , Then basically they put all the change on the table for us to sort out who was who, which was incorrect I may add. Not the service we are used to. Food not a touch on when first opened, staff need to up there game an being more attentive, won’t be back plenty of other nicer Turkish around
