Konch's Kafe in Brentwood

This place is fabulous and my favourite breakfast place in Brentwood. Why? Couple who run it are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Swap beans for mushrooms, swap toast for an extra hash brown? No problem. You feel like they care. Food is very good value. £6.50 for an English breakfast with a DECENT cup of coffee, not instant coffee rubbish. That is a bargain. An absolutely bargain. Food is good quality. It opens early! Most places in Brentwood open at 8am. That's too late for me.

Really rude customer service from the older lady working there. I went there today, 14th December with my friend and our two babies and prams. My friend put her pram in the cupboard from the very nice two young ladies working there as her baby was sitting in a high chair. My baby was asleep so I had him in the pram and in one of the pathways, I mentioned to the girls I would move him if the tables near us become full for you to serve but at the time most tables were empty. Shortly after our food arrived an older lady came up to me and asked if there was a baby in there, gesturing to the pram to which I said yes and I would move if you get customers. She proceeded to say it’s a fire exit, (which there are two pathways to access the door), and if there was a fire she would be ‘the first one out’ gesturing towards my pram she would plough through it to exit. We suggested to move to the other side because our side has a Christmas tree behind so very little room but she said no no, eat your food. What a shocking statement to make to a mother that you would do that to her child to get out the door. Others customer heard and some looked at me in sympathy because it was a vile things to say. Our coffees never arrived thank goodness, so we ate and left. I felt unwelcomed with my baby and made to feel a nuisance. Not a nice experience and felt her eyes looking at me the whole time we ate. Don’t bother going if you have childrens or certainly not when the older lady it there!

Very clean and friendly cafe serving a great breakfast. The best breakfast tomatoes I have ever tasted. Very good value for money.

Came here recently for Breakfast with Family, a mix of adults and kids. Food was served quick and warm and with a smile, the staff seemed all round very good and attentive. The Breakfast options are varied and fully customisable. The food itself was the perfect balance of that much needed greasy spoon but quality at the same time. The picture is Set 4 - Black Forest with a fried slice. Highly recommended - would come again in a heartbeat.

First visit - thoroughly enjoyed the food and eating areas and toilets were ultra clean, definitely be back

Didn't rate it. Didn't see Paul Konchesky serving my pie so was rather annoyed at that. The toilets were out of use, not very handy when my mother was poorly and needed the bathroom. The pies were tasteless, mash was lumpy and the old lady serving us stunk of booze.

Love this cafe not just because of the pie and mash but all the food is yummy and the staff are always helpful and a good laugh. They look after everyone, no ones ever alone at Konchs

Konch’s did the catering for my 40th. Not only did they ensure the food was excellently prepared but they also served and cleared it. Everyone had raving reviews on the night and after. A fantastic job all round, 5 stars!

Popped in with 3 under 3s and my friend, staff were amazing and cafe spotlessly clean, kids were made so welcome which was so refreshing! High chairs, booster seats plastic cups and plastic cutlery! Amazing! Panini and salad was gorgeous and kids meals were lovely(proper sausages!) Not expensive and would definitely go again! Thank you

Traditional Pie and Mash and liquor is just great from here - delicous and worth trying - my favourite

Very nice staff, very nice atmosphere with the pictures on the walls of ex west ham players and football history! The pies are a must! superb value!

My wife and I have been here quite a few times but I have never thought about reviewing it. Whilst only a cafe it is very good value and besides breakfast it offers a few other options including pie and mash. Today my wife had Eggs Royale and I had Eggs Benedict. Both were very good and included salad. We also know from previous visits homemade fruit cake is often available which is very good. All prices are very reasonable.
