Food is usually nice but found a few hairs in my food so was unsatisfactory.

Ordered chicken meat, chips and mini fish chips. All was decent, chips nice and fresh. The only thing which wasn't great was the staff and their language, effing and blinding in conversation to a customer, granted talking about a past experience but wasn't very nice.

good service but they are working to hard (trying serve about 5 people at one) I ask for mix meat they give me donna and it was under cook! the bin was happy to have it and every time I go in there is different staff! (part one staff)

Usually ok but today’s fish batter was not edible, fish ok but a little dry, chips cold and dry - I went about 4.15 so have possibly been in the warmer since lunch. They also over charged me !!

Not the best, food re heated (you can tell) very dry, staff don't always wear hair nets and have long hair. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHIPPY Also gone expensive.

Nice chips. Lots of deals at a good price. Good service. The nice lady behind the counter offered the kids a lollipop each which I think is a very nice touch.

Ate here yesterday, kebab meat cold only a handful of chips, chips were under cooked and fish was sickly. Customer service was poor. Will not return.

waited over 25 minutes with 2 staff members on one serving . Then 2 more staff start working. 4 customers in que, that's why 3 star rating.

Prices have gone up, but portion has dropped. 3.00 for regular portion but only an handful of chips. I want to be able to feel full not still hungry. Shame because the chips are nice , shame on the donor meat which is tasteless

Was Told About This Place By One Of My Mates From College So I Decided To Try This Place I Ordered A Large Bag Of Chips For £4 Not A Bad Price The Chips Were Really Nice And Fresh Very Crispy And Battered Definitely Coming Back Again

Haven't been in for a while went in yesterday had kebab used to be nice but it seems that they have changed the kebab meat to a cheaper quality absolutely tasteless don't think I'll be going in any time soon.

This is the best chip shop in wolverhampton area . The man who owns it is a lovely man. Always has a chat with you . Also his Daughter and the other staff that work there are always nice . I have been going there for many years . Also since the cost of living crisis Tony has kept his price of food low . That shows what a good take away it is in our community good food at good prices always fresh Regards Tracie

This chippy is probably if not the best one around, the food is always fresh,hot & delicious. I do a 6 mile round trip to get food from here, the staff are very friendly & helpful. I mentioned once that i don't like alot of batter on fish, instantly they replied not a problem we can lightly batter a fresh fish for you now or do one without. The chips speak for themselves A++++ Always recommend to friends & family

Very very RIDICULOUS service i had , This was the shop we went from years but i never had this type of service from this shop , i went there today ( friday evening ) 23/2/2023, Very rude and racist lady was there to serve , when i ordered my stuff she was very rude with me , but i ignored ..... but i was went to the till to pay , she asked to for bag and said yes ..... she said ( u don't have manner you should say please to me) ........ i was really shocked what type of customer service i am experiencing ........ it was ridiculous experience i have ever had ..... i was so upset that time .... i thought i should call the police that time..... i really never saw that type of customer service in my life . I will never go back to the shop again and not from my whole family as well , i will tell about them in my all the community as well.

Fantastic family meal for a family of 4 and under £20

Probably the best chippy in the area. I've never had any complaints about the food from here. Chips are amazing. Always friendly service from the staff here. Short term free street parking close nearby. If you go there in the evening, late afternoon there's plenty of spaces for parking.

Been going to Kingfryer for years, best chippy in Wendsfield. I like my batter really thin and they always cook a fresh fish for me. I can only eat battered chips now from the chippy normal chips tastes weird. Keep up the good work

Bought some fish from this place it was very greasy chips were over cooked and tyou needed a mortgage to pay for it.1 small fish bag of chips and 1 small roe come to £8.50 scandalous.

Nice clean & tidy chip shop but £4.60 for a mini fish special? Bit overpriced for what it is

Love the Midland’s finest orange chips they make here! They only serve cod though, I would prefer haddock if given a choice. Roe portion is cut too thinly! It’s not good value for money. The batter of the fish is so thick and heavy it sticks to the paper it’s served on. By the time you get home the fish batter has fully clinged onto the paper and you’re left with one big mess to try and eat. Prices are bit expensive for the small piece of battered fish. A single can of pop is £1! Cash only premises unfortunately they are still living in the stone ages, despite covid practises encouraging contactless payments, but lucky there is a Lloyds bank with ATMs literally next door.

Sent my daughter here to get hers and her brothers food after school and she got refused because they haven't got a card machine ??? REALLY with covid and everything that has gone on i would have thought they would of preferred a card payment. Also card payment machines cost like £40, looks like I will have to stop using this chip shop Any guys need a chippy that accepts cards payment both ROOKERY AND DUKES BOTH ACCEPT CARD......

It is with great sadness that I have to write this negative review, as I have always found the food here very nice, but I was really disgusted by the poor standard of hygiene I witnessed today in one of your female member of staff. WhiIst I was waiting in the queue I watched her sneeze into her hand then about 5minutes later I witnessed her blowing her nose behind the counter, and on neither of those occasions did she leave to go wash her hand. I was so shocked and appalled that someone working in the food industry would be lacking basic hygiene practices. Especially in the current climate we're living. I can say with confidence , you have lost a customer in me.

Used to use this shop all of the time but went today and I wont go back. I ordered fish and chips and the batter on the fish was so thick it was sickly. The portion of chips was very poor more like a cone. Felt like I had a mini fish and chip special. Used to be able to sllit fish and chips for 2 people. I asked for large mixed meat in a tray and again the portion sizes was very poor only one grab (with tongs) of each of the meat, the box was that light it felt like nothing in it. I had to order an extra small doner meat and this was disgusting for the price. The staff were not bothered , the girl who served me just threw the food around and in the tray and was commenting all of the time to the other assistant that's why she forgot the sauce on the meat that I didnt notice until I got home. The man before me had his bag of food basically thrown at him and his curry sauce fell out onto the floor and lid came off. The assistant did not offer to replace it and the man just put on the lid and left. I am not a competitor as other review have suggested as a reason for negative reviews I just have standards and these have slipped drastically at this chippy. I shall not return or be popping in to speak to Tony. He knows the staff who are working on Wednesday 1 July and it seems from previous reviews that this is an ongoing issue.

Great food great service especially under circumstances

Awful portions, Vile food and miserable/Rude staff, fish tasted like an old boot and the batter looks and tasted like it had been microwaved! First and last time using these😷 The dog enjoyed it tho.

What can I say. :( My first time there will be my last. All the order was wrong. Ordered chicken pita kebab gave me donner, ask for plain chicken on a burger got tikka. Staff was grumpy and dont care. Simply order they got it wrong. Slow service.

Have been a regular here for many years now. Family run chippy with delicious orange chips. Clean shop with many standard food choices. Wish the fish had a lighter batter rather than the heavy thick flour batter.

Good food but shame about the newer staff and their poor customer service. On my last three occasions here, there has been no hello, grumpy staff who huff and puff their way through your order. Bring the previous staff back who were much more friendly.

Went today (6th of june), and asked for a regular mixed meat and chips. I asked if the food was hot, and was told the chips had just been 5mins out the fryer. The meat was stored in take away trays, so I knew the meat was not hot, I checked the food, and went back and told them, all the staff started to moan, saying apparently it cold, so the manager came and checked the food...she confirmed it was cold. Was given no apology,. I went to shell bar down the road, and was given hot food. Serious problems if your staff dont know the difference between hot and cold. Terrible customer service.

Had some food today and it was frozen and rew,,,,,staff not very help fall at all,,,as they have attitude show how much this lovey chip shop as changed never aging shame....oh and there was no manager or enybody in charge

My favourite fish and chip shop in Wednesfield. The staff are always friendly and the prices are good. Also if you spend over £20 you get a free bottle of pop. Their Chicken Tikka meat is awesome!!

Consistently excellent. Orange chips. Good sauces. Everything I've tried has been lovely. I'm mainly here for the chips tbh. Battered/orange chips of the black country variety. Good prices. Do get tikka meats with your chips. Not open on Sundays.
