Kine in Lincoln

The restaurant is small and cosy with a nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. The menu is short (I definitely prefer it that way) with a couple of veggie options, especially among the small plates. I had the cauliflower with hummus and the sweet potato main: both were excellent, generously portioned, came out from the kitchen quickly and very fairly priced. I skipped dessert in favour of a cocktail (Pony Girl) - very glad I did, as it was delicious.

Food was really tasty with great flavours and choices. The service was really attentive but not over the top. The prices were reasonable and the cocktails were exceptionally good. Would thoroughly recommend.

The food was excellent and noticeably cooked with excellent ingredients. The Special Burger was probably one of the best burgers we have ever had. Waiters were very kind, provided excellent service, and the music was nice. Would recommend to anyone visiting Lincoln.

Was at a lose end on a Sat lunch time, so popped in a treated myself when they opened. Clearly a popular place as most of the tables had reservation cards even at lunchtime, but no fuss by the staff and they quickly made a space for me and made me feel welcome. The service was friendly efficient and well timed, they checked on me after serving my food and I even saw them cleaning the glass on the front door showing both good hygiene practice these days and pride in the establishment. I had the Barbacoa Special Burger with Rosemary Salt Fries. The burger was well considered with complementing flavours and we'll balanced with the right amount of bun patty, brisket and dressing. It worked well as did the fries. I find sometimes seasoned fries are done a bit too heavily given the strength of flavour of the seasoning, but not here. I'm glad I found and treated myself in this local independent restaurant and would recommend it.

Staying in Lincoln for three nights so looked for some restaurants to book in advance. Found Kline online and was swayed by the reviews. We were not disappointed. Fantastic food and very welcoming and friendly staff. Only wish we lived closer so we could eat there again.

I'm from Lincoln but hadn't actually heard of this place, but a friend who had visited Lincoln told us about it. And what a great recommendation From arrival we had such a welcome and the staff were super helpful (even moving the time of our table for us) The food was fantastic and being pregnant I'm always on the look out for good non alcoholic drinks and they had the best alcoholic free larger/ipa i have had so far this pregnancy

Excellent favours, nice vibe, well worth going to! Friendly service, good atmosphere, very good selection of small plates - actually quite big - but you can have big plates too. One of those off-beat places which does things much, much better than fancy market leaders. Loved it.

The food was excellent and well presented with some original dishes as well. The staff were attentive welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal. Eating out should be a pleasure as much as it is a meal and it was here. Heartily recommended.

We visited Kine based on Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Lovely relaxed space, charming staff and excellent food. We had five small plates to share. Each plate was original, fresh and delicious and all very good value for money. Highly recommend

This unpretentious restaurant in a somewhat unpromising looking street has truly phenomenal food. I had the vegetarian kofta followed by the yuzu and black sesame tart. Both were outstanding and beautifully presented. Even more impressive was the price-- you would easily pay double what Kine is charging in a major city, and you likely wouldn't get the same level of excellent service. I only had one night free for dinner in Lincoln, and I'm so glad I decided to try Kine.

Went here on a Saturday night whilst away with some mates for a couple of days. Great little restaurant with excellent food & helpful, friendly staff. Smallish food menu but excellent variety and very good choice of beer & wine. The 6 of us had a varied selection of starters, mains & desserts, all of which were very good. My Husband and I had dinner here last night. We were greeted with a really warm welcome and taken to our table. All of the staff were super friendly and the service throughout was fantastic. We decided to tapas the small plates on offer. The food was fabulous. Beautifully presented and full of amazing flavours. I would highly recommend booking a table here. We came in out of the rain and had just experienced a bad end to a good day. Kine was a ray on sunshine. We had no reservations but they let us sit at the bar. Food, drink, and service were beyond fabulous!

We were visiting Lincoln and tried Kine out based on reviews. Very happy we took the chance as the food was delicious. We had five of the small plates and each one was outstanding. We also tried a few of the cocktails which accompanied the food wonderfully. The staff were very attentive and it was not too loud or squashed in. Highly recommend you try this gem out.

We had been to Kine before as a family and left a 5 star review on TA. We went back last night with a larger group and some of us came away disappointed. The service, as always, was prompt, friendly, welcoming, efficient and responsive but not rushing you. 5 out of 5 for that. The ambience and vibe is always good and we like that the menu is not rammed full of choices and just focuses on a single-digit number of starters, mains and desserts. Why? It means that the few dishes they have are going to be well known, regularly cooked and they know what good looks like. However, unlike last time when we ordered the Kine Special Burger this time around there was so much salt on the burger that it was borderline inedible. Having had the dish on our last visit we had something to compare it too and it was crazy salty. Such a shame as it would have been another five star review otherwise.
