Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester

Nothing special. Great reception area in a very special architecturally significant building. The rooms are average. The bar is spectacular to look at but service is poor. The restaurant/dining is average and theres a lot better places to go right outside the front door. Staff seemed disinterested.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location close to Oxford road . Our room was huge and well fitted out . Lots of places nearby to eat and drink . Walking tour of Manchester also recommended

I have lived in the UK for a few years and this is one of the biggest “wow” experiences. Very good price/value - first time it hasn’t been ridiculously overpriced experience at a UK hotel. Clocktower is a beautiful building, beautiful atrium/hall, lovely smell, very kind and helpful staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Perfect location, and lively venue.

This is a lovely hotel. Not the most modern I've stayed in but it doesn't need to be. When you walk in you'll see what I mean . Some beautiful furniture and touches. Service is outstanding. Everything was there and perfect. And if it wasn't there I rang and it was. Super clean. We also got drinks at the bar which were gorgeous. We got breakfast up in the room which was also lovely . Did I mention the location hahaha . If you are coning to Manchester for city centre anything- and there's so much to do- this hotel is in one of the best spots you could be in. As I say- not the most modern and luxury I've ever stayed in but right up there and with the rest of the experience... even reception and room service.... I have to say exceptional.

I didn’t stay in the hotel but two of their employees massively helped me and my friend outside their working hours in the carpark when my car battery was flat. Thanks a lot to the lady I didn’t get her name and the head chief who may have come late for work this morning because of us. True hospitality doesn’t stop when you leave work 🙏👍🏻

Lovely establishment, clean, warm and well maintained rooms with excellent service.

I had an awesome experience here and this is so far my favorite hotel experience. Lobato provided excellent dinner service and was cool to chat with down in Refuge. Sharon was such a friendly face upon arrival and she made me feel welcomed and even sent up a personalized list of her recommendations as I was a solo traveler without a concrete itinerary. She and Kate were super helpful at the front desk whenever I needed them. 5 stars from California

A historic and beautiful hotel, one of a kind.

Absolutely lovely building. Great service and room extras. The one thing bad is the breakfast. £22 per person is expensive and the selection is comparable to a premier inn. Perhaps spinach added to the buffet would make it more appealing

Stayed for 3 nights as part of Amex Plat HC offer. Location was fantastic (close to tram, bus stops, and restaurants)check in was smooth, room was cozy, bed was comfortable and hotel breakfast (the Refuge 22£/pp) was good. Depending on which side of the hotel you’re in you can hear the tram pass but it wasn’t a big deal. Room had a safe, hair dryer, iron, and bathrobes. I would definitely stay here again.

I love this hotel, it is one of my favourite city hotels in the UK.

Went here for new year which happens to be my wife's Birthday, this place I cannot recommend highly enough from the staff to the room to the absolutely amazing food, new year 6 course menu was out of this world and was some of if not the nicest food I have ever had.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is absolutely stunning, I was very impressed. The staff is helpful and friendly, thanks to Sharon for being so kind!

Those building is the most beautiful in Manchester. The rooms are a bit wierd with 2 American style double beds. Seemed very odd for a double room. Service was a bit slow and room service took ages to arrive although it was hot and tasty.

Staff are busy and have to ask how to get to room ; rooms are like a maze and lost way multiple times on arrival .

Great location and good quality accommodation, missing a few basics, first time I've needed a hotel sewing kit and there wasn't one, there was however a yoga mat and the toiletries were lush, building amazing, seriously what a place, would stay again.

I came here for a short break with my son in May. And we both enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The place is fantastic the food everything you could ask for. Our room was great comfy beds and restocked every day with tea and coffee etc. We only stayed 2 nights but we well be back again.

Beautiful hotel, loved the whole vibe. Room was immaculate and had gorgeous products in the bathroom, attention to detail was next level. Staff are excellent, all professional, warm and friendly. Special mention for Sally on reception who went out of her way to ensure our stay was wonderful from start to finish, a real asset to the Kimpton clock tower. Can't wait to return.

The food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious. I couldn't get enough of their diverse menu options and the impeccable presentation.

Had a lovely stay and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. I was a bit tired getting in but had a lovely welcome from Kate, who was also very helpful in general!

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. I did however have someone else's hair on bathroom tiles and there was a strange smell from bathroom sink and bath! Has the loveliest smelling hand/body wash tho!

I stayed here for an award ceremony. The room was very nice, but located in the basement, with no windows and was below social rooms as it was really noisy with moving furniture above. The reception staff weren't the friendliest but not rude. Breakfast however was amazing, no rushing and food was really good quality. Overall i dont think the room was value for money considering how expensive it was, but breakfast was worth the money.

THE most amazing hotel in Manchester!!

Hotel was superb and a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Lovely atmosphere from the friendly staff and free drinks for social hour to the flower shop and beautiful decor throughout. The gym was very modern and included free drinks and towels. Room was clean, spacious and had air conditioning.

Kimpton Clock tower Hotel is quirky and stunning. I love that they environmentally friendly, the arrays of natural plants make you feel like you are indoors but still connected to mother nature. Staff are friendly, room is perfectly clean. Overall I enjoyed my stay in the premium double room, not to forget the concierge Jam's attention to detail.

Mum daughter date shopping in Manchester and theatre to watch Aladdin. We had such a lovely time. The room was lovely, staff were so friendly, kind and nothing too much trouble. We attended the social hour before the theatre too. Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was also spot on in lovely surroundings. Would absolutely recommend 😊

To be treated with stay at one of the most iconic Manchester buildings, perfectly located and with great staff. I do hope to come back.

James was brilliant he fixed our tv quickly, he was in our room 2 mins after we asked and sorted out our problem immediately.

We booked into a King room during the week and was a little let down with the amenities in the room. The TV was only compatible with android or windows phones, which in this day and age, and for a 5 star hotel, was really disappointing. There was no dressing table which also proved quite annoying. They had a Nespresso machine which was great but the lack of any quality snacks was a let down. The hotel is located in a brilliant spot but the outside of the building is so dirty and full of graffiti. It contrasts massively with the inside and needs a major facelift, or just some general upkeep. The lobby area is beautiful and the inside of the hotel is too. Corridors were dimly lit and the rooms could do with some better decor. Otherwise an okay stay.
