I went there for lunch and I really had a good experience. The food was good and also the service was very nice, I have never seen such a service in any other restaurant.

We tried mix grill, kabuli pulao, lamb charsi karahi, and Chapli kebab. To be honest, chapli kebab and pulao was good but karahi wasn’t worth trying. Atmosphere and cleaning standards are good but we didn’t get good customer service, sometimes it felt like waiters don’t really care about customer service so that was disappointing!

We were five persons. We ordered chapli kabab, shinwari lamb karahi, lahori chicken karahi and chana karahi and afghani naans. We liked chapli kebabs, lamb karahi and chicken karahi. Their naans were very soft and hot delivered.

The food wasn't afghan first of all, and the food wasn't worth it at all. The rice was horrible, and the kebabs weren't cooked properly. The service was poor and the food wasn't fresh. We have tried many restaurants but this is one of the worst. It is not worth it to go there. I am sorry to say that.

After the food stomach was so bad, the whole family suffered for days

Went for an early dinner after a 30 mins walk and honestly the food didn't disappoint me. The only issue for me was that they serve Afghani naan which was too much for me as a single person. But I loved the chappli kabab.

It's important to clarify that this meal is not authentic. Those who claim it is have either never experienced true origami Shinwari cuisine or visited a genuine Shinwari restaurant in Pakistan, so they lack the ability to distinguish the real flavor. Even the naan served is of very low quality, which is a disservice to naan itself. This is simply the reality.

Worst Management and service as I called and booked a table with them for my family today, when I came in they refused saying we don’t do, well if you don’t do reservations why did you reserve me and why did you ask me to come in 20 minutes.

The food was amazing and well cooked it gave me a new experience and brung joy to my taste buds. It reminds me of the adequate and tradition food we had over seas. The staff were super kind, confident and well dressed giving us a welcoming invitation. They had a variety of food to serve as well.

Worst Karahi on the planet, we tried lahori Karahi and Namak Mandi , the meat smell bad and partially uncooked. We complain to the management and they took it back to replace with a different Karahi but interesting brought back the same Karahi which we returned with garnish. This is sad and deceiving. Poor service and uncooked food .

It was a best dining I ever haver. I liked all the food that I ordered, especially lamb karahi and Afghani Naan.

Chapli kebab, naan was the only nice thing we had. Service was quick but in a rush and they have forgot few things like sauce and water. Mango lassie was dreadful tested like outdated. The light was too dark and miserable and the toilet was too dirty especially the men , that I ended up using the woman toilet that was single one. I had to clean the pissy floor with water and tissue. My niece was also frightened by the bathroom and I had to take her to another restaurant for the toilet . At the very end the boss had authority to ask for more cash , when we paid for the price that he had ask for. I am very disappointed and very dreaded by the service that they had.

It was my first time at Khyber grill the food was outstanding and the staff is very friendly trust me this taste will transform your taste buds to the street of Peshawar.

The food was horrible! I ordered Kabuli Palau but I was just brown rice with some meat in fact it wasn’t Kabuli at all so not a place to visit especially if you are Afghan food lover!

Some food tasted good but we got food poisoning soon after. Not sure what was bad (chicken or bhindi). Disappointed given I've been here before with a nicer experience. Please double check your kitchen hygiene etc

Decent neighbourhood restaurant. Not bad, but certainly not great. The Kabuli pulao (which should be the star in any Afghan restaurant) was clearly microwaved, and had very little in the way of meat. The charsi lamb harahi was fine, again nothing special. Was lacking the aroma that is associated with charsi karahi. Service was good and friendly.

We tried the KABULI PULAO at this restaurant and it was absolutely scrumptious! The only downside was that there was more rice than meat on the plate.

One of the dishes we ordered made us all sick

Excellent food however I asked one of the waiters to add a couple grilled tomatoes with seekh kebabs. He said it’s not possible I asked again and said will pay extra no problem and he checked with the chef. The answer was still no. I don’t get what’s so hard about adding a tomato to the same seekh as the kebab. They don’t loose any time ……neither does it require extra effort. They could’ve even charged me extra but for some reason they don’t care about customer service. Trust me at a restaurant…..food and service is everything. If your food is good and your good to your customers they’ll come again but sadly I didn’t like their attitude as a couple extra grilled tomatoes wouldn’t have cost them nothing but they chose to show that attitude at the cost of an unsatisfied customer. Will avoid in future.

Ordered takeaway during lunch period on Friday (note: they are available after 1430 due to Jummah prayers) had family from abroad come over (6 persons) and orderee Masala Fish x2, Lamb Mandi full, Chicken Kharahi half, Tarka Dhaal, Afghan Nan x2 and Kabli Pulao x2 total came upto £114. Every dish was exceptional, the lamb fell of the bone and freshly cooked, masala fish was crunchy and soft inside and the curries were distinct from one another with unique flavours. Slightly pricy but well worth it.

Bones Karahi! Dont order half KG, it's full of bones. £17 for around 300g max of Chichen rest is bones (that's like a one thigh and drumstick to put it in context!) The Kabuli pilau is microwaved 100% The Daal and The Chappli is the best thing. Menu attached

I have been to this restaurant over the past few years. Food is good quality specially I usually get charsi lamb karahi and Kabli pulao. First of all it used to be priced well but then they raised the prices significantly compare to other good peshawari/Afghani restaurants. This restaurant is overpriced. There service has been on the decline with no respect to the customers forcing them to sit where only they want with no bother to customer's choice. I visited around 7pm on a Saturday with family almost on empty restaurant and they were very rude that you cannot sit on the sofas and they even didnt have no customers there. Pathetic experience. Wouldn't recommend them

I have been their many time but since last few visit i am disappointed every time time about food their food quality is not same as before. It seems they do not cook fresh anymore. They served Chicken sajji and was warm from outside and cold from inside definitely it was cooked day before. Kabli pulao was same old meat in rice. It seems like they can't put effort anymore the way they used to cooke. Serving Staff is very unprofessional.

I ordered Kabuli pulao and mutton karahi. I liked mutton karahi and it tasted very good, but the portion was quite small and the meat had too many pieces of bone, felt like we had ordered bone karahi! The Kabuli pulao was quite plain, not a great flavor as I had expected. I ended up not paying the tip.

We’ve been coming for many occasion since 2016… The kapli pilau used to have more quantify. Kids nuggets and chips… you can eat better one elsewhere. All the price becoming over price. Charging extra money than suppose to? The food taste was nice. But nothing extra ordinary. Sadly, this restaurant has changed. Good luck for new price setting in this cost of living. Wont pick up the phone for booking. Reached there and the restaurant was 80% empty. Asked for a table of 1 and they said they are fully booked for dinner. Not sure how they were fully booked when I have been calling them since afternoon, and they dont attend to the phone.

Food was ok, i was there with my family, my two kids talking each other and playing but they didn’t run or nothing done anything wrong, how comes waitress came and shouted them. and she always came to us make us distracted and feel us awkward. I didn’t say anything to her because some guests was with us. Very disappointed.

We have been to both branches previously, service has always been a problem but atleast food used to be bit reasonable. Really bad experience, lamb karahi was below average and I don't think it was half a kg either as 1/2kg is more than enough for 2 and it has more sauce than meat, it was pre-cooked was not fresh. Masala fish was fried in basan batter, and kabli pulao was cold, really dry, even the meat was dry which just tells it was not freshly made. Chapli kabab was not fresh either, tasted like they were re fried. We normally go to Ilford lane branch but thought to try green lane branch which appears have better reviews. Very disappointed as we came all the way from Kent. This was the quality on weekend.

The worst chiken kadai I ever had . Price is so high if we compare with other . curry was just like sweet curry. I called the restaurant and told them that curry wasn’t good and they just said ok 🤣🤣!!! I won’t go there again.

I wish there was a choice of zero stars and I would have given that. Took a friend to this restaurant to give a dinner treat, extremely disappointed with the food and price. I don't know why there are these good reviews. Asked about boneless lamb karahi and it wasn't available, ordered chicken karahi boneless and it was the worst I ever had in the UK. I have had better karahis in the UK for £10 than this one which cost me nearly £27 and it wasn't worth it. Felt so ashamed in front of my friend. Never coming back here again. I'll make sure to spread the word. 😞
