KFC Leigh on Sea - Progress Road in Southend-on-Sea

Food was piping hot and very tasty. Not ordered by at the machine before so one of the staff showed us how to do it. Such a polite young man, thank you.

This is the 1st time I've been to this Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet, which also has a drive through and it'll also be the last. At one point I counted 7 staff but only one serving and she seemed completely uninterested. I then sat down to eat my food and could hear the rest of the staff yelling at one another from the kitchen area. On the plus side it was clean but also empty and void of any other custom. The only other positive was that it was open. Not a place I could recommend but I suppose when you're really hungry it could be convenient!! It's also on a one way system so you have to drive round a small block to get to it. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend !!

Waited 20 minutes for 3 wings then once came they was dry as anything . On a sunday night as well not as if they was busy

We loved it. Visited Sunday late morning and was immediately greeted by member of staff. Food was good and they get lovely sun shining in. Atmosphere was really good there.

Terrible, ordered through just eat, over an hour and half passed with no update or communication from the restaurant. After calling them I was told to give it another half an hour and if my food doesn't get delivered, then to cancel the order ...... As if that's a solution to lack of dinner delivery. Very poor from this restaurant, I would highly recommend people order from elsewhere

Really good service, but quality if food was poor. The chicken tasted dry and old.

We will never use this kFC again, we got the 10piece bucket chicken was dry and overdone gravy was just awful threw most the chicken away this is the second time now waste of £20. Yuk.

Every single all they they say is we waiting for chicken, what heck you doing in KFC without chicken, this is my 3rd time waiting over 30mins for collection, someone has to do something about this, it's ridiculous and the worst KFC in Essex.

I have been to quite a few KFCs and this one of my favourite ones. The restaurant looks clean and always service with a smile. Much better than some of the other KFCs in London.

Best food I’ve ever had in my life

Delivery was made from a push bike, the delivery took so long as it was made from Leigh on sea …… very poor choice of transport

Delivery time kept getting pushed back. To order a kfc and pay nearly £20 it was disappointing the quality was not great. The food was cold I won’t be ordering again the bin enjoyed it.

Delivery driver inaisted on a code .. i did not have on. I am disabled and had to sit on rollator . Showed driver my phone. Very intimidating as drivers helmet stayed on . No code to give and then after 5 mins and food gotten cold , driver asked for my mobile number. Driver then laughed and walked away. Left me in pain and with cold food with walking aid . I am completely disgusted

Most of my recent orders have had items missing. And anytime I order cookies they never arrive. This is getting ridiculous

If you want cold chicken, soggy chips and an incomplete order. This is the place for you. Really is the worst KFC anywhere, it’s so clear they don’t care about your food. Definitely order elsewhere.

Usually love KFC and the staff were fine going through the drive through but unfortunately we ordered the Wicked share bucket coming home last night and within an hour of eating it we were all sick including my 6 year old daughter. Will not be having KFC again.

Posted on trip advisor October 2023, now sharing to Google as I have a Google account now:- £16 odd pounds later we exited the drive through, with popcorn chicken and two zinger burgers for the 3 of us. Got home and I thought these would not be big enough for a kid! Large popcorn chicken looked like a medium portion at best and there were poor excuses for a zinger burger and soooooo small. The bun is half the size it looks in the picture and the chicken burger was small for that, with a couple of sad leaves of lettuce and a splodge of mayo which I had rearrange in the bun because it had been put together so carelessly. I am never going to return to this place again! I'm still convinced | got stitched up/palmed off with kid portions! Wish I had taken a photo to give you all a good laugh.

Fast service, hot food of a good quality if a little impersonal. Great for a fast food restaurant, highly recommend.

Terrible workers and work ethic

Asked for no legs and out of 10 bits chicken we was given 8 legs food was good to had to be microwaved … avoid unless you like late cold food and to be ignored on your request

not happy atall the wrong food was delivered so I had to drive there and take it back I walked in and told them i wasn't happy and they handed me my order so i went to my car and thought It would be better to go back in and open it just incase and then he gets me my drink and coleslaw and said sorry again so I drive home not happy and then thought if he handed my order to me as soon as I walked in how long had my order obviously sat for and yes our dinner was Luke warm not good enough.

the meal was really good but there were no drinks delivered..because of this I gave it 4 stars ...you need to observe the order to see if its a meal ..disappointing

Not satisfactory. No fries delivered and shop wouldn’t deliver them. Rude person on the phone told me to go through just eat for a refund. Terrible service considering I spent nearly £30 on a basic meal. Have sent a complaint and want a refund for all of it as they wouldn’t collect it after failing to supply the fries. Never again would I order from KFC. Let’s see how just eat deals with my refund!

I clearly said on the notes do not knock as my baby is sleeping. He knocked SOOO LOUDLY, when I showed him the notes he shrugged, and said he doesn’t speak English. So rude and so unfair. Ruined the experience as my baby then needed me to put him back to sleep.

Amazing service from driver, he went beyond being friendly and helpful. I'm currently staying in my van and parked in a very out of the way place, so was surprised I could order. The driver was super friendly. Thank you so so much

Almost £30 asked for just 1 thigh and got 2 thighs, 2 drumsticks and a side breast which all were dry! Wont be ordering again, completely unacceptable, what complete waste of money, such shame used to be so nice

Terrible customer service. A shame, because the chips and wings were delicious. They missed half of the order, at first. Then, when we told them about this, they returned with the rest of the order, except they missed a wing! Then, they challenged us about this and demanded to look in the bag for the extra wing, as if we would lie! Very, very unprofessional. They did not even apologise. Will most likely not return. Customers should be treated with dignity and respect. The lady who took the original order was polite though. It is a shame the collection staff let it all down.

This is disgusting…I ordered at 8.20pm, my order didn’t get here until almost 10.10pm, estimated delivery time initially said 20.55 - 21.15! This is the 2nd time I’ve had a late delivery from KFC, they are very very slow!! Even going to the drive through takes forever! I expect at least a full refund, my kids are only just eating and it’s ruined my evening!

The usual KFC restaurant so you know what to expect. Friendly staff, clean tables etc but they should find a new name for their ultimate burger - it certainly isn't anything like their advertising picture. It was a standard size bun with a substandard size piece of chicken. Chips were served with salt and pepper; ok for me but my wife doesn't like pepper. And they've stopped supplying the lemon hand wipes!

Ordered an extra fillet and it’s not in box. 3 quid wasted !

Having placed our order at 17.45 the initial delivery time was 18.20 to 18.40. This kept moving and at 18.45 the courier arrived at KFC. Our food finally arrived at 19 15 and we found out from the Courier he had spent 1.5 hous delivering 2 orders from KFC. The service provided by KFC was unacceptable and I will not be using them again.

I don't normally review KFC but this one. I was sceptical a s I saw chips were sitting but they provided what seemed to be fresh and tasty chips. Chicken was fresh and moist which is a pleasant surprise for KFC. I was surprised that I enjoyed it so much as left food out of seaside visit plans. The made up for it and service was prompt as well. Thank you for the experience. Renewed my faith in KFC in line with competition. Ie Morleys and Sam's Chicken.

£60 order for daughter birthday party. Food not received only drinks! Staff beyond unhelpful blaming just eat yet they were the ones who didn’t pack the food!! The classic you need to contact just eat cop out excuse! Disgusting service.
