KFC Kirkby - St. Modwen in Knowsley

We ordered a party bucket for 4… everything was unbelievably perfect …possible the best kfc I’ve had in my life..!

Yet another item missing in my meal, ordered a large popcorn meal with gravy and a mighty bucket for also large, got a small popcorn with small chips and no gravy, mighty bucket for one no hot wings no gravy, happens all the time going to give KFC a wide birth things are expensive enough without not getting food you've paid for.

My experience was everything I needed it to be. Food was nice not too greasy and the staff were attentive and polite. Overall a very positive experience.

Paid £28 for food for my family, customer service was very poor. Had my order tossed at me but I let it go and when I got home I had ice in my drink when requesting for no ice, burger cold, wrap cold, fries cold, and the extra sauces I asked for missing extras I older for my son missing. I would have come back with everything to request a refund but I needed to cook and feed my son and get him to bed. Such a bad place experience

This place is an absolute disgrace! Zero customer service, completely unacceptable experience. Despite the shop supposedly closing at 10, they forced us through the drive-thru at 20:50, refusing to serve us properly. To make matters worse, they wouldn’t even let us split the bill, which is ridiculous when dining as a group. But the most shocking part? A staff member casually walked out with a cigarette hanging from his mouth—utterly disgusting and unprofessional! This establishment clearly has no respect for its customers. Avoid at all costs!

Buy burger meals for £5.99, which include two chicken wings. One wing looks like this: just bones covered in fried sauce. I discussed this with the staff member, who assured me that it is definitely a chicken wing. Finally, I need to try to bargain with him how food quality it is, he change another small wing. However, that’s fine. He still change it. But I will ensure that don’t go to this one rubbish KFC store

It's OK nothing special, and bit pricey for 3 meal

Good quality food not to greasy unlike other KFCs I ve been to. The service is pretty quick just make sure to ask for your dips as they are not always put in the bag. I avoid the drive through for that reason I prefer to go in to make sure I get the dips. Got to have that supercharge for the strips.

Just want to mention Aden who is always on drive through just told his manager what a good asset he is to the team in Kirkby KFC. Always polite and even when he's busy he's still very polite always with a smile and just a lovely person

Absolutely zero customer service! Spent £57 in the drive through for a birthday had to park up which is fair enough but then when checking the bag several food items were missing which meant I had to go back into the store and prove food items missing to be met with a very non interested staff member to check the bag without a word or a sorry ! I then had to wait for fries and then when I got home there were still missing items because it was a large order ! No care for customer satisfaction, no care for service, no care for the quality of order , disgraceful, thanks for ruining a birthday meal

KfC is KFC. Not a lot, you can say about it. The staff, however, were friendly, polite, and helpful. The food was hot and the service was great.cant say much about the atmosphere. I ordered my food and left.

Best fast food place around Ormskirk! Been there 5 times now and it tasted great every time. Consistently very good, hot, crispy and quick.

Amazing staff. Fast food staff always get a lot of slack but I'd just like to say the staff in here always always do their best for us and our children. They have plain chips and they always make sure they're done and that it's correct. There's a lad that works in here that has no idea how much remembering our little girls plain chips means to us, as she suffers from arfid, And struggles massively with food. .we really appreciate you, youre a lovely young man, good luck in your future. Lots of natural light, modern, up to date self service ordering screens, and blazing fast service. Even saw the local police going through the drive thru! Would recommend.

Worst KFC in the country absolutely atrocious

Was expecting service to iur table, as that was what the table signs said, but had to collect our order from the register.

Don’t know why I keep giving this place ‘one more chance’!!! Every single time I order from here something is wrong! Tonight; Wrong children’s drink, wrong sides and 1 piece of chicken missing from the bucket, which in itself was practically cold. I don’t get kfc all that often, but when I do, I thoroughly enjoy it…usually….but this store has been a let down every time! Not going to bother with this place any more and neither should anyone else!

Dropped into this KFC in Kirkby Town Centre as I thought it prudent to get a meal into me as along with my twin brother we were meeting up with friends in The Premier Pub for beers and a catch up. A modern KFC outlet, light and airy interior, modern decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this KFC both inside and outside, there's also a drive through section. We got a burger menu which was served very quickly, burger was delicious, fries lovely and all washed down by lemonades ,it was just what we needed to set us up for a few hours. We really enjoyed our visit to this KFC before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time, its easy to locate on Irlam Drive in Kirkby Town Centre and well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Meeting friends in The Market Tavern I thought it prudent to get a tasty meal into me and so I dropped into this KFC outlet. It's a modern KFC, light and airy, lovely decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this fast food restaurant both inside and outside, there's also a drive through section. I ordered a chicken burger, fries and cola, service was quick and pleasant, I grabbed a table were I munched through my burger meal. You know what you're getting with a KFC, tasty chicken burger,delicious fries and iced cold cola ,an unpretentious burger meal, great value for money. I really enjoyed my burger meal in here before I moved on and as on every other visit to this particular KFC I was totally enjoyed with my visit. This KFC is easy to locate Irlam Drive in Kirkby Town Centre. Well worth checking out if you're in the mood for a sneaky burger meal.

Not the best as a drive through or getting delivered but if you eat in then there is never a problem here food always hot and tasty too. So my advice is to eat in really for the best experience

Took my grandchildren today, got children's meals ,chicken and chips were peppery they wouldn't eat them so like an idiot went and got mini chicken burgers thinking they may be different, they were horrible not suitable for kids, when I told the assistant she said I should have asked for no seasoning, I'm disgusted ,what a waste of money wont ever go back to kfc

Went in judt after opening ,waited 20 mins for 2 burger meals , was taking to long for the time we had so asked to cancel and recieve a refund . the cashiers attitude was absolutley abhorrent. Making snotty comments and then saying "BUT SURE ." no wonder it's reviews are so low

What was a great visit to KFC Kirkby, turned out to be a bad one. Sitting in my disability car outside the main door to this branch of kfc. There was a young man smoking near to the main door. And every time he took a puff on his cigarette, he spat on the floor next to him. Totally disgusting it was. 15 times he spat on the floor then stomped it out on the floor next to the main door way. I will not be visiting this branch again until the matter is resolved.

Lovely staff good food, walked in and it was stifling, one of the hottest days and no windows or doors open as they had no air conditioning, not good to sit in and most definitely not good for the staff ti work in 😡

Really nice KFC. Polite and helpful staff, Fast service, staff is delivering drive thew to your car so you don't need to wait. And the food is good. The parking could be better but you can always park 15 meters away on the shopping mall one.

This place has improved 10 fold freshly cooked chicken and fries great staff only bug bear for some reason always running out of coleslaw never the less I’d highly recommend WELL DONE KFC KIRKBY 👍👍👍

Dropped into this KFC in Kirkby as I was feeling peckish ,really good visit ,place was busy with a good vibe ,staff really nice ,ordered a chicken burger ,fries and cola to eat in ,service was quick ,munched away in a very pleasant KFC restaurant. I like the look of this place ,it's modern ,great decorative scheme ,it's just a really nice fast food outlet and it's popular with sit in trade and passing car trade . Enjoyed my chicken burger meal here before moving on and as on a previous visit had a pleasant experience,it's easy to locate on Irlam Drive in Kirkby Town Centre .

2023 Update: over a year since we've bothered with this KFC but it's no better. Been here about 20 minutes. There was ONE car ahead of us at the drivethrough and we have been asked to park over (behind that other one car) to wait for the 4 hot wings we ordered. Nothing has changed here. No idea what the staff inside are doing but it's apparently not cooking and serving. Unless ofc it all goes to deliveroo. Utterly pathetic. Won't be back. Have been at position one at the drivethrough for maybe 8 minutes, despite being told 'I'll be with you now' when we got here. Have shouted 'hellloooo?' to zero response. My friend has just walked through the drivethrough lane to enquire as to the shoddy service. Update: having sat at the order speaker for over 10 minutes, now sitting at the pay window and no-one here either. Have been here maybe 4 minutes and counting. The car behind mine's engine is overheating waiting. Further update: when someone finally arrived at the window for us to pay, she had no idea if we had yet ordered. I asked to see the manager. She went to get him but came back and said he was busy. She kept apologising - it wasn't her fault, she was having the p taken out of her just like the people in the drivethrough queue were. E, you are a nice polite girl. We got to the window for our order and the coke was spilling all over the tray. The disinterested salesperson changed the leaking coke but not the wet tray. He also forgot the straws and blankly stuck his hand out with them when I asked for some - very rude. Aside from the poor girl they left at the window dealing with our complaint, awful, shoddy, badly managed service all round. A new KFC and definitely one to avoid.

Slowest service ever, and food wasn't very hot

One of the worst KFC units in the UK. I placed an order for home delivery via Deliver and waited for over 1 hour until I canceled the order and decided to go buy it myself. Look at the situation they deal with the drivers who deliver our food, it was raining a lot and they didn't let any of them in to wait for the order. I talked to some of them and they were waiting over 40 minutes for an order. Is this the standard KFC service?

They shut before 10pm. We had do drive through .

If you have 2 hours to wait for your food it's a good place to go, it is getting better the longer it's open, bit still has loads of improving to do.

Why is Boneless Banquet now nearly £10 when it's normal price in the new Maghull one only down the road by the 58?

This place is a joke, I was there today and the service was bad. I ordered 10 flat chicken wings and got a mixed bag of chicken( whatever you want to call them) and it wasn't chicken wings.Took them back and told them I paid for flat chicken wings and not a mix, got told off ( don't give us an attitude) waited 7 minutes for the the right ones and only ended up with 8 chicken wings instead of 10. Never going back again.

We have visited the site a couple of times and they have not attended us with an hour left to close.

Touchscreens stop after check out so you stand twice to order I'd use them, otherwise cold chips and a warm burger is just what the wife loves. The standard for KFC

Absolutely vile got served uncooked chicken and got told i could either wait 15 minutes for the next batch to be cooked or have more uncooked chicken as they “are all like that” also asked for a krushem in the drive through was told there was none and when i went inside the restaurant the staff were drinking them and also serving people krushems the staff were really rude! Got a refund and went to McDonalds instead

Absolutely terrible.. ordered through drive through and was told to wait in layby..we waited for 30 minutes and nobody came out and nobody told us we would have to wait... So went into the KFC and complained and everybody was facing away from till and empty inside so had to get a man's attention to be told sorry we had to cook it... And I said but why in earth whilst we ordered it did you not say we would have to wait in a boiling car for 30 mins(yesterday) he didn't really seem bothered by my complaint and I said you have another 4 cars you have told to wait as well which is disgusting customer service and I was not at all happy... I waited another 10 minutes and a lady came out with much better manners then the man inside but they got my order wrong... What a absolute joke... I complained again and asked due to wait for them to add a few freebies which she did and came out another 5 mins later... So in all 45 minutes and in my book this is ridiculous and the manger needs to take a look at there staff and train them better... Absolutely disgusting customer service from KFC... DONT BOTHER GOING .

Check your drive through order before you leave. Got home to find our family only had 2 smaller than normal potions of chips where we should have had 4 in the 14 piece bargain bucket that we ordered. 2 stars as the Chicken was nice, but slow service and short changed won't see us back at this takeaway again.

Went in on Sunday early evening and the service was great and the staff were very helpful and polite, not just a one off as the same service i had 3 weeks earlier. Top class from start to finish and the food was superb thank you

Treated this branch as a joke for a while, as it's the slowest drive thru in the country. Honestly, 3 cars in front of you is approximately a 45 minute wait. Yesterday we went in and tried to use the order screens. They were broken. Connection issues. But went to the counter. Quick, efficient and lovely staff. Really nice people and fresh food. Wish the daredevil bites matched up to their name. About as hot as ketchup. Hot rods were the best they ever did.

Not a review on food as that was OK, but this week ive been a couple of times on my lunch hour and ordered the same thing today I noticed the price was different and just assumed the price had changed, when I got home I checked and they had added a donation on my bill to comic relief. Dont get me wrong I am fine with this as the amount was very little and I am all for giving to charity, it was the fact I wasn't asked permission to do this that has annoyed me, in my opinion it's basically theft at the end of the day they took my money without asking!
