KFC in Torfaen

Says on web page closes at 11.00pm..walked over from hotel was at doors at 10.20pm ...closed... Very disappointed...web page states clearly 11.00 pm closing....

I had to ask for a refund after waiting 35 minutes for a bucket for one - the place wasn't even busy. I feel sorry for the young manageress if this is the usual standard. Utterly appalling.

Avoid coming here if you want your food quickly or your order correct. 9/10 there is something missing and the service is unbelievably slow. Expect waits of up to an hour on a weekend evening as all the delivery orders are prioritised.

Love the food but always dread going there because of the service. Very rarely get what I ordered and they only tell you they haven't got something after they've given you your food instead of updating the self service screens. Tonight was the rare exception but perversely there was no classic chicken on the screen despite it being in stock so had to discuss the options at the till after spending 10 minutes being ignored by every member of staff who walked past it. Never seems to be enough staff on, don't think I've ever seen anyone over 19 there and they just don't seem to give a damn. Never any serviettes either.

Just visited this branch & absolutely shocked at the service & the food!!! How KFC have not closed this branch down is beyond me. What a disgrace to KFC!!! We have been to many KFC’s & this is by far the worst!!!! Staff have attitude & are not friendly in the slightest. Greeted with a horrible smell on entering the restaurant. Didn’t feel or look very clean in there either. The chicken bites were rock hard & so dry & not like we’ve had from other branches. These were awful! The mega box was a tiny portion & hardly any chips. The chicken piece was so tiny. The hot wing wasn’t cooked enough so inedible. Avoid this branch at ALL costs!!!!!

Filthy. All but one of the tables was covered in food particles and grease. The staff’s uniforms looked as if they had been wearing them all week. The chicken was lukewarm and we left most of it to be on the safe side. Used to be OK here, but really gone downhill. Only one other customer at a peak time which speaks volumes.

We just had a really nice meal from here tonight. The place was Immaculately clean. The staff that served me were Tommy, Seren, and Ethen... all 3 gave 💯 % customer service I came here 3 months ago and the sevice was extremely excellent then...as it was again tonight.. The staff are always polite and friendly and are always helpful...(as im useless at ordering,) so thank you for your patience, Tommy. ..also, for the hot sauce, that was very thoughtful of you, Tommy. My hubby was very happy 😊 for a change. Ha ha ! We will definitely be back in a few months. You are all a credit to KFC 👍

Visited several times over the past few months, the food is as you would expect from any KFC but you won’t be able to get a hot drink. The staff either tell you the machines broke or they tell porkys to you and wait for you to go to the collection window and then they tell you the machines not working. Krushem machine also not working today as well as the card machine so cash only. The owners should hold their heads in shame.

I can only assume those giving positive reviews are staff. Very small portions, greasy and luke warm, seemed stale and dried out. Whole place looks like it needs a good disinfecting inside and out. Mcdonalds next time

I went here with my daughter and what a shambles, rubbish and mess everywhere outside, speaker not working and asking you to beep (this is to wake up the staff) 20 min waiting, staff dont know what they doing, missing food and the food we had was cold waste time complaining as they wont reply to you but they will reply if you have something good to say just go to mcdonalds next door

Been to about 4 KFC's in by 23 years of living and non come close to Pontypool!! Staff were very friendly and served me fast, although the colonels chicken meal was a little bland I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of my food. Staff seem to be trying their hardest and don't need ungrateful people leaving terrible reviews ya nittys. Amazing customer service and great food.

How mean can a company be. 3 pieces of chicken and a tiny portion of warmed up, old fries. Not even enough to eat one fry with each bite of the chicken. Chicken not bad but not fresh. Fries look and taste like they are half a day old. Look at the colour of them. Even the bag that they came in was half empty. Only once i had driven several miles away that I find this. Look at the size of the box. I know it's not that biggest meal in the world but the box looks empty. Mark up on this food must be in the thousands of percent yet they give old discoloured tiny portion of fries. I won't be back at KFC pontypool again.

Called there this evening to get a take out , pulled into the disabled bay as I cant walk well. Was met with an overpowering stench of Sewage when I got out of my car I was standing in a huge puddle of sewage. Think what you will.

Closet KFC to me so have been quite a bit. Food is nice but my god are they slow. Quickest option if quiet is to go through the drive through but if that's busy, you could well die of old age. Last trip was ridiculous however. Waited half hour inside without even getting served. When questioned was told didn't have enough staff. No apology or to even attempt to serve the long line of waiting customers, the 2 people out front were too busy putting together 6 or 7 delivery drivers orders. Plenty of staff hanging around doing nothing however. Gave up in end, probably won't return.

For the umpteenth time this year was told there is no coffee. When I asked why the person behind the counter said "Coz ther isnt". Never again.

I went through the drive-thru of this KFC in Pontypool with my partner on 24/08/18 at around 6:30pm. I was on my way home from work at 34 weeks pregnant and fancied a popcorn chicken snack box.

We stayed next door at the hotel, so this was convenient. Service was quick, as opposed to those in the drivethrough

This KFC was a stones throw away from the Best Western Hotel. Great service, polite and helpful staff.

Went there 14th Oct 2017, there were only 6 other people at the restaurant (and I use that term very loosely). The floors and majority of the table were very dirty considering there were so few customers, and there was definitely no urgency to clean either. Will not be going there again. It's a stinking hovel. A change in management and strategy is desperately needed.

Don't usually like to complain about anything but my god what the hell is it with kfc Pontypool, how are they even open??? Went thru the drive thru and when we got home, no straws for drinks and one chicken burger in the zinger meal didn't even have a bun top, chips must be at least 3 days old, my hubby couldn't even eat it and that's saying something - usually go to McDonald's, should have stuck to usual routine, absolutely disgusting, will never go there again, avoid at all costs

The whole time we were there till staff were yelling at the cooking staff. Things were being missed off orders. The whole place just seems to be a disaster.

Pretty average KFC usual products but rather slow to serve you been several times with the grandchildren alright but not really my cup of tea .

There were rats running around outside. Wasps hanging around by the food Windows. Ordered a 3 piece boneless dip meal or something and my chicken had a bite taken out of it. Coke was flat and chips were hard. Disgusting!

As it was mid-afternoon and there was no queue, I inadvertently drive straight through and missed the ordering 'post'. I have to say, it is easy to this anyway, as it is not well-highlighted. On reaching window 2 and apologising for missing the 'post', the man serving told me I had to drive around again. I reiterate, thee as not another car in sight ! There was no word of apology, smile, sense of customer service or even understanding. Sadly, I drive out, following a very disappointing experience.

A bit disappointed in this branch of KFC. Although the food is at the quality you would expect from a KFC the disabled Loo need a much needed clean.

Staff pretty uninterested in serving. No Knives and no wipes - asked for either and I was told that KFC does not provide them any more. So you will sticky fingers after your meal - beware!!!!

I use the drive through I do find that sometimes they have run out of things. they are polite. I must admit the lettuce etc always looks just thrown in the bun. The food is as all KFC restaurants

Don't go here its a health & hygiene nightmare. How KFC could allow things to get this bad is beyond me.

I am a regular in this KFC but on my most recent visit the restaurant seemed different! The general appearance was improved. Excellent service even though items were incorrect the female manager couldn't apologise enough and gave extra ice creams for my children! Wonderful experience and was shocked to notice a 0 hygiene rating displayed on my departure but I cannot see how as this was by far the best visit to any KFC store for my family and I!

Went here after attending a birthday party, the place was empty food took about 25 mins to arrive - by the very short time it took me to drive home food was cold chips were only fit for the bin managed to eat some cold chicken, very poor service and food as well as being very expensive- never again

Having sat in a queue for 20 minutes for drive thru, we ordered a 14,piece bargain bucket. When we got home, 10 pieces of the bargain bucket were drum sticks ( the cheapest cuts of chicken meat)! I phoned and complained and the duty manager (Anthony) apologised and offered 20% off our next order. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I told him I would complain to head office and he said " not a problem". Well it is a problem because I won't be ordering from there again.

I relented and went again after my son said he wanted a kfc as a treat.This time they missed out half the order.In the past its about 1 in 4 orders have something missing.When I got home it was too late, short of stripping the order down at the counter what else could one do ?.This time with a popcorn bucket. No fries, no Chicken strips, no paper bag I payed for !Emailed customer care online to complain and had a response.One email to say we will be sending you a voucher then one within a minute another email saying they were sorry I had refused it and they would now not be taking the matter further.I know i'm quick but even I couldn't have noticed the email, read it, responded all within 1 minute.I tried for two 10 minute sessions on the phone to customer care to be told by a recorded message over and over how import their customers satisfaction was.Really unless you are prepared to check every order at the counter and unpack it all don't bother.KFC Customer care is a joke.Peter

KFC - one customer, they were more interested in cleaning the floor for the next day than serving.no cutlery, lots of packets of salt - no pepper...chicken just about OK, probably cooked a lot earlier and reheated.One of my worst fast food experiences ever!!!!!
