KFC in Braintree

This was absolutely butt cheeks. The food was way too greasy. The workers were eating the ready food. My whole order was wrong. I asked for a BigMac but they gave me chicken tenders. Absolutely embarrasing. Outrageous! If this happens again I will be calling melgizy!

Poor service, terrible cold food, ordered a chicken fillet burger meal and a bucket meal all cold, staff standing around chatting, two other people complained while I was waiting for our meal, waited 15 mins to receive a cold dinner at a cost of £20 wouldn’t go back in there and wouldn’t recommend! Save your money and go McDonald's !

Only about 5 cars at drive through took over 20 minutes seems deliverroo would have been quicker They was apologetic Wouldn't have bothered but once in your committed

Arrived yesterday at the drive through approx 12.15 we was the only car there so quite sure we would order and collect our food quite swiftly. The young lady at the counter told us to drive round as she couldn’t work the till or understand our order as part included some free food collected in the app ! Followed instructions ordered with her again. She said the till wasn’t working so blankly starred at me for approx 5 mins. The drive through was still empty and the restaurant also like a ghost town. Two other members of staff were hovering in the background not willing to assist the young girl who clearly didn’t have a clue or the people skills yet to solve this problem. Again another 5 mins passed she took my blue light card code to the front desk this time but still the tills were not working so it seemed I couldn’t collect any food from this FAST FOOD outlet So not gonna bore you but this repeated itself for over 25 mins with now all three starring at me like I should solve the problem. So I can’t have any food because your tills are down and you don’t possess the technical or customer or in fact social skills to do what’s correct in this situation ! I could ask 100 people what they would do in this situation if they worked there and in fact my 6 year old would also answer the same but no these girls thought the best outcome would be shouting sorry you can’t have anything and slamming the windows closed !!! I think KFC is renowned for having the worst customer services when it comes to their drive throughs and prob we all no 9 times out of 10 your meals gonna be cold or missing a few items but this experience is beyond me prob why the place was empty in the first place

Manager is rude, service bad. Never going back there again, staff don't have a clue how to do there job

Drive through was very slow. Waited 20 mins to collect food and pay. Got cut off at the order station aswell.

I can't believe how expensive KFC is now £24.98 for a small bucket and a plain fillett burger when I challenged the price I was told the fillett burger is 5.99 its nothing special not value for money at all

My drive through order took over 45 mins to complete I was told sooo rudely by the man it would over 10 mins. I should of gone to mc Donald’s next door atleast the staff are professional and would serve me 19 times over. I won’t use kfc anymore the way the staff have treated us

This is the worst drive thru I’ve ever been too!!! The staff are all very young and I don’t think they know the meaning of customer service at all. I’ve been to this KFC on three occasions over the past couple of weeks, last night was my final visit and if you read this I suggest you don’t bother going and wasting your time. I waited last night 15 mins in a queue to only be told that they have no chicken on the bone 😡😡😡😡😡😡I’ve had this happen three times now !! Where the hell are the owners of this branch? The can’t be worried about losing business as the can’t even be bothered to reply to comments on here!!! This branch is shambolic and needs a massive shake up !!!! Also the last time I did manage to get chicken it was not great. KFC - never again !!!

Shocking service tonight in Kfc braintree. 40 minutes wait for our order and even then they forgot one of our orders so had to wait even longer. Then when it came to eatting it was stone cold and one of chicken burger had a bone in it 😩😩😩 definitely wont be going back...

This place is a joke the staff are rude and argumentative I won’t be going back here and don’t rate it at all staff claim tables for there lunches there was plenty of other tables for them to sit at, a jobs worth came over and told us to move there was a kids party going on and me and my partner just wanted a quiet lunch he was rudest unapproachable person I’ve ever come across and being in customer service myself it’s not how I would deal with people at all he needs to take a course!! The food was cold and not very nice at all very disappointed!

Missing Tower Burger and Corn on the Cobb They seem to put in the order what they want. Not happy at all. Will not be ordering from them again and would urge anyone else not to as well. Their franchise should be taken away from them.

Last few times we've been, I've had issues with orders/ quality/waiting times or cleanliness. Today's visit was no exception. Decided to eat in as pretty much empty and certainly not busy. Plenty of staff on shift though. Every table was dirty, and floors were filthy. I think they could do with employing a manager that can motivate the kids to work, as from the outside looking in, they were just having a laugh out the back. I ordered a zinger box meal. The burger was lacking the usual amount of lettuce and mayo. About 3 strands of lettuce and the tiniest amount of mayo up one end. I'm guessing they must be rationing due to Brexit lol. I think this place could do with an unannounced visit from head office to kick them into shape. At least McDonald's employ floor staff to keep their restaurant clean and tidy, which is so important in these covid times.

We have been here multiple times and the last few times the food has been awful. Today there was no gravy available- we were then served cold chips, cold popcorn chicken, and cold chicken fillets with cold beans. We went back round the drive through to complain and they gave us some chips which were Warmer but still not nice at all. They also gave a cherry pepsi rather than a normal Pepsi. They provide awful cold food not crispy chicken at all and didn’t seem to be bothered in the slightest. We will not be returning

Always check your food is right before you leave. So many times my order has been wrong or missing something.

Surprise surprise items missing again from a deliveroo order. They never manage to put all of the items in the order. I put this down to poor attention to detail and care and bad management!

Had a bagen bucket with the triming chicken a OK but the chips were disgusting had to leave the chicken so I could go to the local chip shop to get the eaterdal chips. No More horrible chips from KFC

Well on the plus side, the order was actually correct for once. Chicken extremely greasy, chips dry. It's ok but they could do better.

KFC in Braintree has definitely gone down hill. Every thing is too greasy & the fries what’s going on?!! Maybe more chunky but you don’t get many with the meal. With my meal the fries were undercooked & had 15 fries with my meal, how do I know this because there was so few of them they could be counted!! And the hot wings just a greasy spicy batter & bone. No meat.

i went in there Saturday the staff look like they havnt washed there uniform in years , they are coughing on to there fleese jackets , its put me off going in , the ager needs to up his game and make sure the front facing staff look like they should handle food , discusting

My first ever visit to a KFC - it was the grandchildren's choice. Food was OK - lots of it and reasonably priced. Had the sharing meal which for four of us worked out reasonable. For a fast food place, not bad. Was a bit slow but the food did taste freshly cooked.

I loved KFC but not so sure now. Will try another outlet to make sure. Stood there ages waiting for 20 minutes while they cooked their greasy offerings and soggy chips. Never again at this outlet.

I visited a while back and was quite impressed but, this time, the food was quite a let down. Has it changed hands or different staff? Greasy chicken and cold fries. I will give it a miss for a while and hope it goes back to the past brilliance

I visited this kfc after a long day of work and was greeted by nothing but rude staff.

The staff could be a little more friendly, or at least appear like they are interested in what the customers want then it might just be bearable. Until then, I have boycotted this place!

Ordinary KFC - have never seen a queue of more than 2-3 cars in the drive through. Accurate order delivery and friendly staff but sometimes dirty/messy (dropped food on floor etc).

I visited the restaurant/ fast food establishment ( fast food ha ha ha ha) last Friday night. The car park was not that busy so can’t have been many people in the place but the drive through was very busy so I assumed it was down to everyone wanting to go home and eat but I was wrong. It was like a play ground in the kitchen. The staff were messing around and not actually doing a lot. When the lady serving us had our order she carried on joking around with all the other staff and actually had our food in her hands for 7 mins. The food was cold and the order was incorrect, No ice in my drink, no wipes or spoons to eat our sides and also was very rude. I looked in the the kitchen and it was so messy and dirty I actually didn’t eat all my food as the experience put me of the food. I should have gone in the restaurant and complained but my misses stopped me as I so angry. I love kfc but I won’t be going back to the braintree one which is a shame as I am from braintree. I hadn’t been to the braintree restaurant for a while as I had a similar experience a few months ago. I suggest you don’t go as you will be very disappointed.

I enjoy KFC. But in my travels I have noticed a big difference between outlets. Braintree is one of the best. Friendly staff, clean environment and, more to the point, great chicken. Crisp, fresh and, the slogan is right, finger licking good

A bad start for 2018 ... changing suppliers/delivery company and still a couple of months later most restaurants have a limited menu. No cremeballs at Braintree! Or corn! Poorly managed from the top down .

the krushem was nice but i was dissapointed as kfc had rna out of chicken that day. i was looking forward to a zingy zinger burger but they had none. I was left RAGING but then i found on the app that i could have a krushem which was delicous. i reccomend a galaxy krushem when they do them

Kfc is my favourite fast food but this visit was terrible, the lady who served my was very grumpy and they had run out of hash browns, krushems and you couldn’t have large drinks as they were running out of drink also.

Very poor long queue to get served. We had 6 piece wicked bucket. The fillets were missing the chips were cold. No receipt given or napkins or wipes. To review on KFC sight you need the receipt with the order number and reference.

Ordered fillet meal. The chicken tasted like it had been dipped in disinfectant before being fried. Dumped lot in bin. Won't go there again.

Rude staff. Restaurant empty. We were the only ones there. Now know why. Terrible food. Zinger burger with no lettuce. Apparently it's not always an option. Depends who cooks it!!! First visit to KFC in several years. Won't be ever going back!!!

Picked up a boneless meal deal for dinner and all was what you would expect from KFC. The queue was very long and took a while to get served but worth the wait.

I occasionally go to DLC if I work late. The last few times the food was Luke warm but today it was piping hot and the service was excellent.

After seeing advert for Tuesday special bucket- 9 pieces of chicken for £6.99, went to get a takeaway. When I got home found that I had only 6 pieces of chicken. This is not the first time this has happened but it will be the last. Will never use this place again and will make sure everyone I know avoids it too.

I was about to make a big order by drive through, waited in the queue for about 10 min and when was my turn this boy told me he can't serve me because am using different cards to pay (told by manager )Asked to speak to manager that never came, What is the difference as I am purchasing your product but making few order for group of people. The order taking attitude was horrible, no please or thank you. I specifically asked for no lettuce and mayo on the food as allergic to mayonnaise, i repeat myself twice to make sure he noted. I was not paying attention as they card machine could not take contact less payment so I forgot to check my order and of course they made normal burger, not the one I asked for. As I had big order none of them thought to give me a carrier bag but when I asked for it he's attitude was like I asked him to bring it to my house. Terrible service! You should be happy that you are so busy nd thats only because mcdonalds is close now.

Had a long drive home the other day and I thought I would grab something to eat. Mcds was shut so had to go to kfc, even though it was busy I didn't wait long my order was correct and a boy on the window was lovely glad I went to this KFC for sure I will be going back.

I often opt to eat in this KFC, as the drive through has forgotten the fries or included the wrong number of chicken. So, today, in KFC, cheap good chicken, nice staff and cold fries. Almost always cold fries. So I got gravy with it. The gravy is delicious, dipping cold fries in the piping hot gravy seems to make them hot again and more edible.

Surprisingly busy for a Friday lunch time. Unlike a lot of other reviews my order was fast and correct. The service was good. I shared the family bucket with three children and we had chicken left over. It is good value for the money, but really the chicken is lacking in flavour and the fries are not as good as McDonald's. But really you know that going in, besides my children had never been to one so it was educational for them

Why are KFC fries always under cooked and cold. Surely the Colonel should be giving orders how to cook fries. But the chicken is good although more seasoning would not go a miss.

Decent place for a stop while coming back from Stansted, I was back from a stag do with my mates, and we were all feeling extremely hungry so decided to stop for some nice chicken. Good decision!

Revued this KFC back in October, wanted to give it a second chance , as you will see i am usually very complimentary.Drive through order, Two piece dinners + beans and 3 Hot Wings.Checked the Bag NO HOT WINGS.Everytime i use this place they short order me.

Online advertises veg stacker but apparently it's not on the menu here. Not impressed. They lost 30 quids worth of business

This is our local KFC so for convenience we do use the drive thru on occasion. Literally every time we order at drive thru we receive our order and take it home to find things missing/incorrect. I now check the order in the car park now so they can rectify (which in their defence they do) but have to go into the branch ... queue etc. It's the only local branch and the chicken is good but staff require training to ensure customers get orders they ask for ....Often no salt or serviettes provided in meal boxes .... and if you order beans they must expect you to drink them as a fork/spork is almost always forgotten ....

Have used this branch of Kentucky to treat our office staff to a cheeky take away. And every time items are missed of the order, its so frustrating arriving back with three or four meals where the chips have been forgotten or some ones chicken wings. So now once the server has finished packing up our meals, I have to make them unpack and check , and complete the order. Everyone in the queue gets angry. I don't know if its because they are rushing or maybe its the franchises way off squeezing an extra 1% profit , all I can say is its very annoying.

This is a poorly run KFC, I have visited twice recently and the first time we got the wrong food and second time we had to wait over 15 minutes for popcorn chicken.With a bit of focus the restaurant could be so much better as the food is usually good once you get it.

Three of us in the car went to the drive through, I started placing my order they lost interest and totaled my order so I was told to go to the window.At the window they had no idea that my order was half placed, I eventually finished placing my order then they to lost interest and handed me a bag and said that's everything, there were no drinks or sauces I had ask for and no hand wipes or napkins.Our food was just thrown in the bag and not easily identifiable which meal was which.They do not care at all, we will never go back and I recommend you do not use this outlet of a normally very good food chain.

I loved the burrito here. Very quick service. Helpful staff members. It was very close to our hotel premier inn, so visited couple of times during a business trip.

arrived at 11pm on a sat night, order taken at drivethrough, then waited for 20 minutes as they had forgotten all about us. Despite it being open until 12, the staff were clearly clearing up for the night. Sat there for 20 minutes with absolutely no recognition or update on what was happening. Clearly very unhappy and poorly managed branch as we could hear the staff arguing/shouting between themsleves and one poor girl had actually just walked out. A half hearted apology and a" we didn't realise you hadnt been served" was untrue as they could clearly see us sitting there. An offer of a complimentary side was refused as it was an insult, should have been a full refund. Wont be back

Very average KFC. Rather small, but with a good drive-through. Never had a bad meal, but I have never left feeling overly satisfied either.Facilities are good, but car park layout poorly marked for direction, and if you follow the correct way you need a London black cab for a turning circle tight enough to get out without the risk of incoming traffic.

We pulled up and rubbish was spilling out the bins, we then went inside and the tables and floors around them were covered in food and wrappers. We asked for them to be cleaned and were told they would be but nobody came out, we had to do ours ourselves. The food was good and what you expect and the young lady who served us was very polite but to many staff just stood about when one of them could have cleaned the place in 10 minutes if they put a bit of effort in.

Went here last Saturday night as we were on the way to friends for the evening and my partner hadn't eatin so wanted to grab food on the way. The woman who took the order was laughing whilst putting on sum stupid voice to take our order. When we got round to the window the girl went running of laughing. Terribly useles staff as discussing food to match.

KFC is a great place to get a takeaway, but unfortunately there's always a queue at the drive through and make sure you check your order as they don't get it right

my chicken burger was rubbery and rock hard to eat as well as the bun being burnt. they got my order wrong also so very frustrating

Called in for a Bargain bucket ( about 9.15pm ). I was surprised to see so many staff standing around but still had to wait to be served. Eventually had my order taken and was fascinated watching at least 5 members of staff standing around laughing and joking with each other. 2 female workers stood with their backs to the counter/customers and didn't once turn round. Perhaps management need to have a staffing review and improve customer service.

Bought food here on numerous occasions usually when staying at the Premier Inn over the road. Standard KFC menu. Always been ok.

Stopped here on Friday for dinner on my way home, had a bucket for one, chicken on the bone was cooked but just about but was dripping in fat. The place it self felt dirty and the loo had been cleaned well the form said it had but didn't look clean. Staff were like robots there smiles seemed false. All in all a bad visit will think twice before stopping again.

I think this restaurant focuses on the drive through as thats where it's main business comes through, you can really see that reflecting on the seating area. Food is good kfc standard food staff are at times can be short with you but on the whole helpful and polite.

I am quite happy to tell you my story about how bad KFC is. Last summer I went to KFC and came home with food for me and a friend. I had some chicken wrap thing. I opened it up and inside of the wrapping was my chicken wrap and a DEAD WASP next to it. Took it back and asked to speak to the manager who didn't take me quite well and her answer was ' I made that wrap myself ' so she was trying to make out that I had put the wasp in that wrap myself. I said what if a child opened that and it was alive and stung the child? All I got was my money back. Crap service and very crap useless rude manager. Never go back again.

Called in today .the toilets had loorool all over the flore ,blood,poo and was just dirty.I did complain.the food was OK to start with until I got to the middle of the chicken was like rubber and I couldn't eat it I took it back and told they could replace it with a small bit of chicken which I didn't want I asked to see the manger she was very rude .avoid this place I have complained

Fast food is a lovely treat and KFC is my Favourite. i like the braintree KFC as it has a drive through and is convenient location. it can be inconsistent at times when you order a meal and its different at different times. Staff will always resolve this problem when asked.

I was treated to a kfc yesterday evening on my return from seeing the poppies at the Tower.I've never had one before and now i know why.The whole meal was disgusting, even the dog didn't want any.Will I be trying another KFC, I don't think so. I've gone without all these years and one was one to many.

Food is what you expect from a fast food outlet. It is some of the customers that need to realise that the bins outside are for putting their rubbish in not the ground beside their cars before they drive off!

Went through the drive through and placed my order, the girl wasn't listening properly as she missed the fact I said 1 LARGE popcorn chicken meal and when I said 1 fillet tower MEAL she went on to say " is that on its own" so I had to repeat my order and she didn't read it back to me either. When I drove round to pay they gave us small drinks so I had to repeat myself again that the 1 meal was LARGE so the proceeded to charge me more for their mistake and told me to park up and they would bring it to me.... a different girl came out with our meals 1 of which was. Completely wrong even though I repeated myself over the tank oy they gave me a fillet burger. So I had to go all the way back to KFC because I had paid for the meal I ordered they just gave me the wrong one. I was not a happy customer and by the time I got the right meal I had been put off of it anyway so I didn't enjoy it. The staff at KFC Braintree are really not doing the female race any favours and proves they can't do their job properly at least from a customer service point of view none if them were smiling and they all need to be taught manners.

Virtually every time we collect a take away order, it's wrong - items are always missing.Talking to friends, it appears it's not just us, but a common occurrence. So if you really must use this take away - check your order before you leave !!

Against my better judgement I seem to end up there a couple of times a month, not for sit down 'cos the seats are hard and the tables not cleaned regularly enough (fault of the messy low life you get in there), and not for drive through because they only hire deaf staff. And can anyone really understand that menu? I don't speak Kentucky myself.Praise where it's due; the staff dealt very well with some loud mouth yobs while I was there.

But that's not hard is it? at least the chicken looks and tastes like chicken. Handy location just off the A120 on Cholesterol corner next to McDonalds, Pizzahut, etc.

As I have to write at least a hundred words, Arrived at the hotel and decided to have a KFC as a quick and easy treat- WRONG! After the young girl had finished talking she decided to take our order, words do not explain as to how bored or how the order was taken in a indifferent way.However, having purchased out "bucket" we were treated to Kentucky's finest cold chicken. ( even the "hot wings" were cold.) Needless to say- wont be going back.
