Kaspa's Desserts in Torfaen

Visited kaspas in cwmbran with a couple friends a week ago. Was waiting at the door for around 5 minutes before being seated. Ordered food, it came fairly quickly and was too a good standard. However we had no cutlery. Made eye contact with the worker and she brought over cutlery, but it was only spoons. Had to go ask for a knife and fork, as spoons are impractical for waffles and crepes. The worker said "There is some in the bucket I just gave you" When there clearly wasnt. They also forgot my coke, which I had to ask for on the way out, and I also didnt recieve an apology for. The vibes were not good, the food was decent, the service was appauling. I would expect a good experience for the price I paid.

visited kadpas on valentine's evening staff were lovely and friendly it was really busy but despite that out drinks came to the table after about 5 mins of ordering we had to wait a while for our waffles which was not a problem as we wasn't in a rush when the man bought them to our table he was apologetic which was fine we never complained he came back half way through our waffles and offered us free cakes to takeaway which we thought was really kind and great customer service we will definitely be back I love a kaspas waffle 😃 😋

Visited on a whim last week about an hour before closing. Although they were trying to get cleaned down we were seated quickly and our waffles came within 10 minutes (if that)! Our waitress (didn't get her name) came over with a beaming smile and we didn't feel rushed at all. We will definitely be visiting again!

Visited her with my daughter and some friends. We’ve never been to Kaspas before and it was very nice. All very clean everywhere and the desserts are nicely presented. I think they need to do the option of smaller portions. My daughter and her friend couldn’t eat all of their dessert which was a bit of a waste. The service could have been a bit quicker but not a massive problem.

Got munchies? Got kaspas! Best desserts, super awesome delivery drivers and sooo fast! 5 stars guys ❤️

Ordered from here and was highly unimpressed to find the waffle with what looked like mould on it...definitely should’ve been something that was checked before selling.

Staff very friendly and helpful, able to give advice and information on the desserts available. A good range on offer - Ruby chocolate waffle was a real treat! A convenient location, perfect for visiting when shopping, or after taking a walk along the river. Recommended!

Absolutely delicious deserts and lovely presentation. Nice and clean. No queue. After waiting for a realised needed to order at the till. There were other customers who didn’t know and as we made our way to the till we informed them. Plenty of seating area.

The service isn’t great but the food was good and that’s all that really matters. Crepes are tasty still yet to try a waffle

Took my kids and friends for a bday treat Very helpful and very friendly staff They gave my son a free bday milkshake and his brownie waffle came with sparklers on Clean and tidy atmosphere Will definitely go again Had a lovely time

Lovely food and good service, but appalled at the music choice, visited this store at 7.40pm and they were playing rap music that included the words “when I was lighting my spliff” and “f*ck it all” and also “b*tch” the music was completely uncensored and a very bad choice! There were children at this restaurant at the time and don’t need to be listening to words like that! Disgusting if you ask me!!!! Won’t recommend this restaurant if your taking kids!

The food is gorgeous but the service today was terrible. It seems that they can't cater for parties over ten people.. Every time we go In there they look t us like we have two heads.. We sat ourselves eventually but as we waited so long my daughter had to take her autistic son home as he got so restless waiting!!! Why can't they open upstairs?? It's boys rocket science but as happens a lot on weekends it's being run by school kids.. The amount of money they charge the least they can do is find u a bloody seat

We went saturday afternoon, staff were very friendy, desserts were delicious, we really enjoyed our visit.

We were shown to our seat (Having never been here before) sat waiting only then to ask the waitress do we have to order at the counter "Yes she said" Why when we were shown to our table were we not told we have to do this. So we ordered our desserts and drinks, we waited and waited and waited and then two desserts two drinks came (There was three orders) 10 mins later my husbands dessert came no drink BUT another dessert, We told the waiter we didnt order that fourth dessert but we ordered a drink "Oh did you I will ask and sort it out" he said, Before he left the table to sort it out I asked for some spoons as we were only given one spoon but a bucket full of knives and folks, "I will get them he said" 10 mins later still nothing, so I went upto the counter and asked them for some spoons and to find out where my husbands drinks is "Oh oh i will sort it now" they said Another 10 mins waiting our drink came. WELL KASPAS apart from im £35.00 lighter WE WILL NEVER BE RETURNING AND I WILL BE TELLING FRIENDS AND FAMILY NOT TO ENTER ANY OF YOU DESSERT RESTURANTS. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND VERY OVERRATED !!!!

Decided to come here for my step sons birthday! It was busy but they managed to find us a table for 5 upstairs! 4 of us had waffles and they were all absolutely stunning! My step son loved the beuno white chocolate waffle but did not manage to finish it! My daughter had the cookies and cream ice cream and even though she is only tiny she managed to finish it! We all left feeling like we were in a food coma! Absolutely delicious and worth the calories!! Super friendly hard working staff!

OMG the puddings here are amazing, as is the smell when you walk in! They are huge and sickly and a little on the expensive but such a lovely treat. My kids love coming here! 100% recommend!

For the money nor good or bad. Waffles nice but had better cakes and cheesecakes from other places . Service is ok nothing special.

Good if you like sweet desserts. Nice selection. Decor a bit bling! The kids like it here. You can have ice cream, waffles, pancakes, sundaes etc. Prices average. Order at the counter, food brought to table. Couldn't visit too often.

Nice treat for an afternoon out with the kids, fast service and good choice. Would recommend as there is something for everyone-the milkshakes are really good!

Always has the best desserts in Cwmbran but has now got even better. Ever fancied a dessert but haven't got the time to stop to eat it as you had to get home. Went to Vue Cinema with the grandchildren but they wanted desserts but my grandson needed to get home. No problem in to Kaspa's and they put the waffles into boxes and the icecream into plastic containers and we were on our way. Friendly staff, great service and fast too.

Food was overpriced but ok at best, customer service was appalling. Ordered crepes with ice cream but the ice-cream machine broke down after we ordered, was told we could have scooped ice-cream but I should of pay extra when I ordered (as if I knew it was going to break) ... No apology....was made to feel like I was putting them out. Won't be going back!!

Such a lush place to visit and love the 70’s diner feel to it. The peanut butter and banana waffle is to die for!!

Visited around 3.20pm on 23/02/18. Was shown straight to a table. There was 8 of us so the table was a little crammed but we managed. Ordered the desserts and a slush drink with ease. Desserts came quickly but the drink arrived a while after. But we were all happy and enjoyed out visit. Especially the children.

Amazing food and great decor, shall be returning!! I had the peanut butter waffle and the kinder bueno milkshake, absolutely fab

Kaspas is a great place to have a quick service dessert. The best at kaspas In my opinion is the milkshakes and the cakes. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept and service is good and mostly quick unless it’s extremely busy. Would recommend the hot choc fudge cake as it is delicious. Where kaspas falls short is the price. For a restaurant only serving desserts and drinks kaspas is overpriced. Aside from this kaspas is a great place to have a tasty dessert with friends or family.

Went to kaspas today and we ordered a drink and then they gave us the wrong drink, and they wouldn’t wouldn’t take it back 😡

Visited with family after hearing all the hype about Kaspa’s. Extremely disappointing. Poor service and mediocre dessert. Go and get a MCFlurry - better value for money. Overrated and overpriced Would not visit this chain of restaurants again.

Amazing desserts massive choice however when we went they told us there was no ice cream for the sundaes other than that good place.

Always good meal in here, been in several times and the girls here are good at what they do, not so keen on the men, they are a bit mean with portion sizes. Do love this when I come to cwmbran

Visited here today with the family, had the Canadian waffles and a millions milkshake. Both were fantastic! The food is gorgeous, there’s just too much of it! Lol l. We all left here full to the brim and regretting our life’s choices, wracked with guilt but we will be back for sure!

Food tasted great however the best thing is the free parking which is situated only 100yards away. Also directly opposite the shopping centre.

1st visit, we were shown to our table which was nice and clean and our order was taken within around 5 minutes. Food arrived promptly and all was correct and tasted great, we all enjoyed our desserts and would visit again.

I've wanted to go to Kaspas ever since it opened, so this was my first experience. We sat down opposite a family with babies, when they left the table and floor was covered in mess...took the staff 20 mins attempt to clean and another 20 mins to clean it. The desserts took a while to arrive, we ordered two sundaes. They were lovely and very filling. I went to the toilet and as its unisex the state of it was disgusting! There was pee all over the seat and floor, dirty toilet paper everywhere, when washing your hands there is no facility to dry them inside the toilet cubicle so you have to unlock the door and there is one outside....not hygienic at all! I wouldn't return to this particular store

Me and my partner decided to go to kaspas yesterday, they sat us upstairs and after deciding what we wanted I went down to place our order. I ordered a large kinder bueno shake with cream and a large Oreo shake without cream, they tell you to check your receipt at the till because if there's any mistakes otherwise then they will not be rectified. So I checked my receipt, and everything was fine. They brought our milkshakes to us, only the Oreo shake (mine) had cream and the kinder bueno didn't. I explained that it was supposed to be the other way around and the Oreo was the one without cream, the waiter smiled and took them back. I was watching them through the glass from upstairs, they put cream on top of the kinder bueno, and with the Oreo, they tipped the whole thing (shake and cream) into a dirty blender that had just been used to make someone else's milkshake, and stirred the cream into the milkshake with a spoon, and then tipped it back into my cup. I was so shocked, there was obviously a reason why I had asked for no cream yet they assumed that stirring the cream into the shake would make my order ok? Anyway, the waiter brought the shakes back to us and you could see the huge clumps of cream in the Oreo milkshake so I said 'I just saw you tip that into a blended and stir the cream in, if I wanted the cream stirred into it I could have done that myself' and the waiter replied 'oh would you like a new one then?' At this point I didn't know what to say to him, would I like a new one? Of course I want a new one, I asked for no cream and the guys working assumed that stirring the cream into my milkshake was fine. As I said earlier they tell you to check your receipt at the counter to check that your order is correct, but it seems that when kaspas make a mistake they don't want to fully rectify it. Let's just hope they don't do that with something that someone is allergic to one day.. absolutely appalling

Was amazed at how filling their deserts are. I ordered the peanut M&M;'s waffle. I really enjoyed this but couldn't finish it as is it was too rich. I am looking forward to going back and exploring their other deserts.

Staff are friendly and offer a speedy service. Guaranteed to get seated even during busy times. Have always enjoyed every dessert I have eaten. The only thing I find annoying is the prices going up and the waffle sizes coming down.

Kaspa's does what it says on the tin. Big desserts and milkshakes, that are a little expensive but nice for a treat.

If you love desserts this is the place to eat! Apart from ice cream, sundaes, waffles and pancakes you can also get cakes and traditional warm puddings such as sticky toffee pudding. Being a warm evening I went for the Caramel Crunch Sundae and it did not disappoint. One of my companions had an enormous fruit sundae with ice cream, possibly the only item on the menu that wasn't a hundred percent naughty. Another had a waffle with peanut butter and chocolate sauce accompanied by two different ice creams. We all enjoyed what we chose. Kaspa's is pleasantly decorated in American diner style and is clean. The staff are friendly and the service was good.

Have had better deserts of similar standard in local pubs, over rated and over priced. not my cup of tea, would not return in a hurry unless part of a celebration i had to attend.

A regular here with my friend and mostly impressed. Food is usually good, fairly reasonable prices and good atmosphere. In bad need of renovation and some consistency issues where some staff are more generous than others. Not very accessible for wheelchairs/mobility scooters; I usually have great difficulty manoeuvring when I visit which is disappointing

Friendly staff, clean and good service. Kids had waffle and chocolate brownie which was really good, we had crepes, they were awful to the point of being inedible, clearly not fresh, rubbery and even difficult to cut. How hard can it be to get it right? Clearly these are mass produced for speed and have gone stale. Milk shakes brilliant, so would I call again, maybe but I'd probably avoid the crepes.

My wife went into kaspas this evening for some dessert for after our Chinese. I ordered a Oreo cheesecake she ordered a strawberry cheesecake. The girl was rude pretty much chucking the cheesecake in the box losing half the topping. Then once we got them out of the fridge after our Chinese we realised they were a cheap artificial cheesecake . The base wasn't like a cheesecake or anything related to Oreo.and the top was like a synthetic cream not a cheesecake. Premium desert my butt more like smart price garbage. Won't be going back.

when you first walk into Kaspa's you get hit by so many different sweet smells that instantly makes you mouth water.

Went here not long after the opened all i had was a knickerbocker glory and it was fabulous so much of it. Staff were polite and friendly lovely seating and surroundings can't wait to go back.

Can be very busy depending on time of visit as very popular !Staff very helpful and we as a family tried quite a few different waffles,crepes and drinks.Well worth a visit !

Just had one of the maple temptation desserts and I was lucky enough to have mouldy and braised strawberrys. A refund was given although after going through this another of our party then found hairs in the dessert although it had got to the point where we just couldn't be bothered to complain again!.....

Firstly I have to admit I am not a big lover of desserts. But as it was my daughters birthday we thought we'd give it a go as a treat. We purchased three sundaes and an apple pie. The apple pie, I am told, was served with cold custard and the apples were flavourless chucks. The sundaes were overly priced and nothing special. The place itself was clean but cold as the door was left open a few times. The desserts were brought out at different times, meaning people were left waiting without their desserts for a good few minutes. The place was busy and appears popular, but I can't fathom why. It was interesting to visit, but ultimately disappointing. We are unlikely to return.

If you are in Cwmbran and have a sweet tooth this is the place to go. The décor is excellent, the staff friendly and the desserts out of this world.

I took some friends to the restaurant for their first tme. I have eaten at Kaspa's many times in Cardiff and never been disappointed. The underside of the crepes were crispy to the point of being cardboard. When my daughter complained, the manager told us that they served them that way. This was a complete lie. As the rest of the party had finished their meal we asked for a refund. The manager brought it over and rebuked my daughter, she's not a child, for not telling them about the problem at the beginning, this would have been difficult as the crepes arrived late and it was only the bottom that was rock hard.

Excellent choice of desserts and drinks in bright fun surroundings. The staff are very friendly and polite. Our grandchildren love this place

It was good but unfortunately the order was wrong and they had put some sort of toffee sauce on the Oreo waffle, also the toilet was very very dirty and I refused to use it ( faeces everywhere)....

Visited here early in the new year as a treat. On entering we waited around 5 minutes before any member of staff acknowledged we were there, however it was busy so we waited. We were then seated upstairs and given menus. The order system is you choose what you want then order and pay at the till downstairs using your table number. Our order was a banoffee and Nutella waffle and a peanut butter and Nutella waffle with a cappuccino and a bubble slush. Pictures attached. The desserts arrived fairly quickly considering most tables in the place were filled. Delicious waffles, banoffee was a good choice, the peanut butter one had A LOT of peanut butter on and was quite overpowering. Coffee was average. The bubble drink (which we had never heard of before) was delicious! A slush drink with balls of juice inside (very difficult to explain but worth the experience). We enjoyed our visit overall and it was a nice treat as an alternative to lunch out. We wouldn't be in a rush to return nor would we rule it out. Quite expensive for dessert, around £20 for our order.

Got to say if you love cake, ice cream, pancakes and milkshakes you will love this place, took my son for a treat and was very impressed, the service was very fast and staff all very helpful and polite!! Will definitely be returning...

Have been meaning to go here for a while and as the kids are back in school and you could get in there without 300 screaming kids running around high on sugar we gave it a try. Two of us had crepes and one had a waffle. The ice cream is lovely, although not a patch on Hagan or B&J;'s ice cream, but it's quite good. Crepes lovely and the food looks great when it comes out. Drinks reasonably priced. Cost about £30 for 3 people, which is lot for what is essential just pudding. It's ok for an odd visit but wouldn't be habit forming.

White chocolate crepes and strawberry waffles were the order of the day, we thought we'd see what all the fuss was about, nice visit, but not somewhere I would go regularly - Too expensive for my taste.

Who knew that any chocolate bar could be the basis of a milk shake? Was this discovery another fringe benefit of the space race, along with Superglue and Pot Noodle?

It's over priced deserts, that much is obvious to anyone that walks through the door, but the poor customer service is unacceptable. Uninterested staff, incorrect orders, on both occasions this has happened.

They have a lot of choice and good prices considering the portion sizes (you will NOT be disappointed) I am always eager to visit this place again!

Having read some of the previous reviews kaspas Cwmbran is not that bad. We were a party of 6. We were seated promptly on the ground floor. After placing the order we were told it would be with us within 15 minutes. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived and shortly afterwards the desserts came. The food was ok. The prices were average for a dessert. The portions were large and the hot desserts were served hot. It was fairly busy but the serving staff were friendly and we didn't wait long. I enjoyed our visit although I don't know that I would go regularly. It was lovely for a treat but I would rather eat a main course as I'm not a sweet person. However, give it a go and see for yourself

Went before it closed so was very quiet. Everything was yummy and the waiters were polite. Didn't have a long wait but did wonder why it took aslong as it did.
