Kaspa's Desserts in Braintree

Second take away from this establishment, first was a sponge - nothing too special and to over priced BUT. just had New York cheesecake and I’ve never had such a fake tasteless dessert . I’ve had many New York cheesecakes but its got to be the worst Sorry!

F awful ! There was 3 staples in my food and they done nothing about it!! Metal in my f**** food!!! Absolute joke

When I was ordering food and drinks a lady at the till her badge said ash I remember clearly, she was extremely rude to a point I was shocked. Moaned when I ordered all the food for me and my kids. My newborn baby was crying a little and my eldest son was holding her. Ash said ‘please take your god-damn baby out of here’

So when mummy’s at work and the boys need a sugar fix we like to visit Kaspas, it’s local, not what I’d call expensive and it’s not usually very busy. If we are passing it’s a takeaway cone or maybe a drink but to get the full experience you need to dine in. As with some of my other reviews the menus do occasionally offer a try before you buy option as to where I imagine a snotty ginger kid has licked the menu whilst their parents check in with social media so I don’t think it would hurt to wipe them over prior to redistributing to unsuspecting customers. When we moved to Braintree I heard that once upon a time a book was written named sea dragons as the female population here were just so ugly however if this review was for B&Q, McDonald’s, KFC and even some of the half bred people found in Iceland I would agree but in here it’s a nice place to be and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a price tag associated with dining inside as with anywhere and sometimes the staff can confuse themselves which I will come to shortly but on the whole we have come here since it opened and to be honest apart from Creams in lakeside I think you will be hard pushed to find better. Some one said the staff are rude and I’ve witnessed this only once and to be honest had I of been spoken to like that I think I would of given a frosty response similar to the staff member, I thought the staff member held their tongue and was for all intents and purposes professional. We have tried best part of the menu over the years and I hope to include this in the photos. The menu naturally includes ice cream and there are certain flavours I’m not keen on so when I order a sundae I expect to be able to swap certain flavours however this isn’t possible even when I opted to pay more, there was clearly a short circuit with the youngster serving but it didn’t affect our visit. Obviously you aren’t in Italy so I imagine the ice cream comes from a frozen supplier similar to brake Bros , crepes, waffles etc are all made on site and then there is the cake? Again I don’t think home made and I imagine are supplied. There has been comments on TA such as certain items aren’t fresh but you know what this is Braintree and I would much rather that than some woman making it that lives on coldnailhurst avenue. The Resturant is clean and tidy and the toilets have always been clean and well equipped.

Went there with two friends and their two teenage daughters on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only customers. The staff ignored us for about 20 minutes as we were seated. Then they took our order. Two desserts came. We had ordered 4. After another 20 minutes, I asked where the other two were. They said they forgot. No apology or anything. Absolutely appalling. Do not go there

Come in with my mum for coffee and dessert, shop was not busy but took 15 minutes for just our drinks to arrive, 5 members of staff working and only a girl called Rosie knew was what she was doing and was happy and very polite. The others gave poor customer service, we asked the a member of staff for a little extra milk in the coffee as it was very sweet, she brought us over a full cup of milk leaving no coffee, and the drink was spilling over the sides. She wasn’t very happy despite us being polite. There was a girl training who was nice but didn’t seem to have any guidance on what she was doing bless her. Waffle was nice though, probably rosie who made it, She seemed to be doing everything

I came in on a week day afternoon with the intention of getting some work done whilst having a little treat. I also arranged a work meeting in there. It was the perfect place for it, the booths really help to make you feel you can have a private conversation. I didn't feel there was any rush for me to leave when I had finished my food which is great. They even came over to ask if they could get me anything else once I had finished, it isn't run by table service but they really went out of there way to ensure I received a great experience. I would definitely recommend the coffee, it's the best I've ever tasted and without the price tag!! I will be returning!!

Come here with my friends and family often, food is on point every time and service is great as well👍🏼

We went here today as I love ice cream. I had the hazelnut deluxe and my wife chocolate orange cake. Both were delicious. The service was good. The premises clean. Maybe a slight downer was the level & type of music playing, that said it probably appeals to younger customers.

As a child growing up, Kaspa the ghost was always my fav film. When I heard that a Kaspa themed shop was coming to my home town (braintree) (essex) I was overjoyed. I remember telling the kids and seeing the expressions on their face quickly fill of excitement. However, when I visited this "Kaspas desert" place in (braintree) (essex) I was completely and utterly dissapointed. There is next to no Ghost theming here, and they dont have a single ghost themed item on the menu. Great cream though.

We got some desserts ordered and firstly they got our order wrong and secondly we had a live insect inside my ice cream, disgusting won’t ever order from there again!

We were seated and we purchased drinks and cakes both of which were rich fully flavoured and very sweet. We had previously visited a Kaspas in Ipswich for drinks and sundae desserts. Therefore aware of the menu on offer. It’s good if you want a sugar rush in a stylish and relaxed, clean environment.

Visiting in Wednesday 13th with my son. We was ushered to a table with hand signals To enter and hand signals to sit down. Given a menu from a table just been used. So not sanitised. Once order we were waiting 20 mins for our desserts. The order was wrong and was informed they didn’t have the correct ingredients as been busy. So all the extras were none and void. Just plain ice cream for £7.00. With no Offering of other options. The server walked away for another girl storming over and throwing a pack of chocolate on table. Rude being a understatement. I went and complained for the manager to come over a break down crying. Where I said go out back and sort yourself out. She was breaking down saying had been a bad bad day. My point is the franchise need to look at there staffing policies and training. Let alone customer service. Never experienced anything like This ever !!!

Went to the Chelmsford restaurant and ordered 2 bubble slushes however they arrived with no bubbles.. we asked the waiter and she let us know there were no bubbles left. Very disappointed no offer of a discount or return. The product simply was not at all what i ordered. :(

The food is absolutely delicious! I have never had anything I haven't liked at Kaspas. A recommendation of mine is the Chocoholic Sundae. Don't buy a milkshake and a dessert because they are both very filling and could end up making you feel sick. A problem with this restaurant is the waiting time for food and when it is busy you can wait 40 minutes for just a milkshake! More staff are needed at the busy hours and staff can seem rushed off their feet trying to serve food and cook it at the same time. Overall love it here but waiting times could be made shorter so don't go to Kaspas when you are in a rush.

We came in and they didn’t even Acknowledge us then someone told us to get our own table. We went up to order and it took about 5 mins for them to get to the till then when someone finally got to the till the lady wasn’t really paying attention to what I was saying. I’m outraged. The toilet say they are regularly cleaned, that is not true. They had food on the floor and the hand dryers weren't working!!!! One of the lady’s hair net wasn’t even on her hair it was hanging on the bottom! Disgusting!!

If workers can't even figure out how to put a hat on, why are they being allowed to make our food? Was told I'd have to wait for a table so took milkshakes away, complete with hair and all. Wont be returning and will be contacting environmental health! Hopefully after that no one else will have to experience this as had to turn to shake Express for a remedy and thankfully, they came through.

Come in a lot after work in the evenings, what you get is hit or miss with staff.Some nights are great. perfect service no rush to finish.Some nights when the staff want to close early they stop crepes and waffles (Half the menu!!) at 9.30. Didnt bother getting anything last visit as it was a close early night and couldn't have hot food. Normally amazing I love the food this is the one thing that brings it down.

My grandchildren and I love the milkshakes here, my personal favourite is Ferrero Rocher. We also have waffles and pancakes, so many choices you can just keep going back all the time for more.

This was the worst children’s “Birthday Party ” that we have ever been to. Totally unorganised with nothing for the children to do, 22 young children totally bored. Not even a drink was offered despite the party having been paid for in advance. After approximately 40 minutes six milkshakes were brought out on a tray. Several minutes later a few more and finally the forgotten ones. A pile of waffles were then brought out and luckily some mums were on hand to assist the children with their DIY waffle, toppings and sauces. A few more waffles were brought out too as there weren’t enough to go round at first. A short while later a swirl of soft ice cream in a plastic pot was brought out. Again toppings were DIY. I had ordered 2 milkshakes at 13.42 which did not appear and at 14.37 I went to the counter to ask for my money back. Another mum had ordered a tea and a crepe at the same time as me, also didn’t appear. When I got to the counter the girl said the milkshakes are just being made so I accepted them. By the time the ice cream arrived some of the children were already leaving. There were only 3 staff working and obviously couldn’t cope with customers coming in and dealing with a party for 22 children. Until there are enough staff to deal with 22 children, 22 milkshakes and 22 ice creams they should not take bookings for what was called a “party”. There are so many venues that are well organised so this was a total waste of money. Definitely wouldn’t go back there or recommend even for a coffee.

I’m not one to moan as I have worked in hospitality for years, but this was the worst service EVER. When we arrived, there was 4 members of staff behind the counter and no one else is the restaurant. We waited at the sign to be seated and no one acknowledged us, we then decided to seat our selves. We approached the till area to order our food and still waited whilst the people behind the counter ignored us. We ordered 2 waffles, not much to ask I didn’t think. During this time a group of 4 people came in. They got served 15 minutes after ordering, as did 3 people that came in to get ice cream whilst we were left waiting for over 40 minutes for ours. When it finally arrived after me asking where our food was, much to my disappointment, the waffle was cold and tasted like it had been sitting on the side for an hour. I won’t be returning any time soon as no apology was made for this absolutely appalling service.

Got together with some friends and had the most delicious desserts ever! Such a cool place, although it can be expensive I think it was worth it :)

Went a few times. Never seen the place full at all, only a few tables. Last time, we were told to choose our table. We thought it could be easy as there many empty. well, empty from people, but durty with used cutlery, plates, etc. We managed to find one clean. Three staff on the bar, only two more tables with customers already served. Once we placed the order, still had to wait for 15-20 minutes to have what we ordered, that was ice cream, nothing to be cooked, luckily! Staff seemed pretty happy and busy at the bar laughing and who knows what else, but for sure, not cleaning tables or getting ordres ready in a timely manner. I wonder where is the management of this place. I don't recommend it!

We purchased six desserts one evening through deliveroo. The dessert were excellent it was my husband and myself first time, our daughter grandson and wife and friend have eaten in the shop said how good the desserts are, totally agree

all tables left with dirty plates, tables are NOT clean! We had to change cutlery twice as it’s dirty. Rude customer service by the manager! None of the right hair nets wore and the manager himself wore no hair net or beard net and my other half found a beard hair in his waffle!!! Waited 20 minutes for our drinks we asked for a refund and didn’t get full price.

This is local to me and I wish we could make more use of it but each time we’ve been it just gets worse.

After reading reviews wasn't sure how our visit would be but I'm looking forward to going back again. We both had a waffle although with different toppings, both were gorgeous.service was good, tables and store were very clean. The only thing I could fault was thst my cappucino was not very hot but overall experience was very good

This was our second visit to the establishment. I sat us down without waiting for a table as after 5 mins no one had even acknowledge our arrival. I ordered our treat straight away sat down then realised why I didn’t rate it last time. We waited for an hour for our first item, another 10 mins for our second and our third was 5 mins later stone cold crepe. I work in the service industry and this is not acceptable at all. Lots of other customers complaining. Dirty tables that were not cleaned the whole time we sat there. Probably 6 or 7 tables full of dirty dishes, glasses etc for well over 1.5 hours. After complaining to staff they just shrugged it off and said it’s been busy. I asked for a refund as nothing had been touched and they said send an email complaint in. One customer complained and had her order moved before the other few that had already been waiting 45 mins. Poor service. Let’s see if I get a response.

Went today and I walk in a rude staff member showed up. I asked to sit in a both as wasn’t busy, she said she couldn’t because the back part was closed and they will need the restaurant!!! They were rude during all the expert. It’s not the first time I’m going there and it’s ridiculous. When does management will realise they need to change this staff ? Shame , terrible place ... the person who served as was tanya shift leader !!!!

I am a student, and as the girl was putting my transaction through the till, I asked if they accepted student discount, and she said yes. I asked if I could use my student card and she said that I was too late as she had already put my transaction through. I said, "cancel it and start again", and her reply was that my reason for cancelling was not good enough. There were no customers waiting to be served. What about if I changed my mind and walked out and back in again? Would she have given me discount then for a new order?.......

What a mess. Dirty tables while not busy. Very slow service as it was not busy. Staff looked like they were going to use up all the tables before clearing up the others. Waited 10 mins for a table quite bad as there were only 6 tables in use. NEVER again

I went here with a friend and our children on my daughters birthday. It was mentioned that as it was my daughters birthday she would receive a free milkshake, however when I asked they said they wanted proof of her birthday had I have known this before they mentioned the free milkshake then fair enough, but who carries a 10 year olds birth certificate or passport around? They shouldn't have mentioned it and got her hope's up.

We fancied something sweet so popped into Kaspa's in Braintree with my sister and 2 yound nephews.

I don't go to Kaspas too often because of the prices. But have been occassionally for a treat. My son and myself visited on 26th February in the afternoon. We ordered an ice cream a slice of cake and a tea. We were asked to sit at a 2 person table which was directly under the speakers in the ceiling. The music was very, very loud and my son said it was the group 'Muse'. I love all sorts of music but this was awful and went on for ages. I was not feeling great and told my son it would help if we moved away from the speakers. He told the female worker we were moving to another table due to the noise and she said that would be OK as long as we sat at another 2 person table. The restaurant is huge and there were 6 of us in total in their that afternoon and I felt it was a case of jobsworth to tell us we can only sit at a small table. I won't be going back, there are better places to go to.

Waited more than 10 minutes to submit the order at the counter and waited 15 minutes for 2 coffees to arrive.

We have come here a few times mainly as a treat for my toddler. The variety of ice creams and cakes is brilliant and spoilt for choice, however the crepes and waffles are overpriced for quality and quantity. Staff are ok they do the basics but don't offer the extra mile or the customer experience i would expect from a service industry like this.

First time visit for half term treat. Taken to table but not asked if we'd been before so after helping ourselves to menus from other tables we waited ages thinking they would come and take our order but eventually asked and were told to go up an order. We were the only people in there. Tables all around us were being cleaned and then tipped up so it kind of felt like we were in the way. Helped ourselves to cutlery from buckets on other tables. It was freezing from the air con which was literally blowing the napkins around the table. The ice cream was ok, just mass produced ice cream, did the job, nothing more but the crepes were cold and so was one of our party's coffee. My crepe arrives a lot later than everyone else's (they had finished) and was a really odd chewy consistency. They apologized for the wait and said something had happed to crepe machine. There was no toilet roll in the loos at all. All the staff were lack lustre with no sense of urgency or care. Whole place felt grubby and unloved. Could be so much better with not much effort. Glad we tried it but none of us are in any hurry to go back. Expensive and not great quality. Can get better elsewhere and decent service. Shame.

Went there on Saturday evening,around 7pm. Wasn’t busy...Staff welcome us on the door and take us to the table- dirty table. We didn’t get a menus, after few minutes wait we were to other table and take ours menus because no ones from staff wasn’t interested of us. One menu was on the floor, so maybe we suppose to pick up ... and have for ourselves.

Went here with a friend to get a quick bite to eat. Well...it soon wasn’t a QUICK bite to eat. Ordered and had to wait for I would say at least 30 mins, there was only us and two other tables in there who had already ordered! The staff were just stood at the table chatting doing nothing. The staff were hardly apologetic, when eating out dessert a lady at the table next to us pointed out that there was a deal which meant you could get your waffle and drink for a cheaper amount than the waffle costs on its own. This wasn’t stated at the till... would it hurt to promote their offers?? When to tuck into our dessert but all cutlery in the bucket on the table was disgustingly dirty, looked in every bucket on all the other tables and cutlery was just as dirty - absolutely disgusting. Had to ask for clean cutlery that still care dirty!! Had to clean ourselves with a napkin. The one star is for the good taste of food but this restaurant needs to seriously consider better staff training for their disinterested staff, and maybe a better dishwasher!!!!!!! Would not come back.

We had a selection of Huge Waffles and thoroughly polished them off...About a 20 minute wait, so would advise ordering before you sit. We couldn't manage drinks as so filling. Not a cheap lunch but very nice indeed..staff just seat you and bring your food over.

Arrived at 6.45pm as a celebration for our son passing his Gcses. A table of 5 was needed, however all large tables had been turned over and the place looked like it was about to close. It states open until 10pm. Once the table had been turned over we sat down. No idea if we ordered at the counter or a waitress would take our order.

Visited Kaspa’s on several occasions and always left happy however when we visited yesterday(Saturday) it was busier than we had seen it before but still not full to capacity. We were stood waiting to be seated for nearly 5 mins with various staff members looking at us and then ignoring us. In the meantime someone else was allowed to just join the queue to order their food without being seated yet? Hardly fair. Once ordered our order took 25 mins to arrive for 3x cookie and ice cream. When the girl brought them over one had no ice cream which was wrong. She then became distracted by someone dropping a glass and so just plonked the desserts down and ran off to deal with that followed by another 2 members of staff to clear up one broken glass. There is no sign of management,just young staff who seem to have no enthusiasm. One minute they are making deserts and then the next they will just walk off to start clearing tables. Having worked in fast food outlets a little bit of managerial presence on the floor wouldn’t go amiss!!

What can I say... The staff here are SO rude!! We waited over an hour for our order in the end we demanded our money back. Avoid this place like the plague. No manger around, just a bunch of young girls with SERIOUS attitude!

First, the positives. Service was timely, the food was good and the restaurant was clear. However, the staff are disinterested at best and incompetent at worst. We waited to be seated as per instructions and were ignored for a full 5 minutes before someone decide to seat us. We were then told we had to sit in a certain booth because the others were for 9 people...dispite the place being nearly empty.

Visited last week arrived about 3.30pm waited to be shown to table, place was not busy with only about 5 tables occupied. Went to counter to order desserts and 1 cappuccino and 2 americanos paid and was told waitress will bring orders over, waited about 15 minutes no sign of coffee or desserts went back to counter and enquired where was the order was told we are very busy with only 5 tables occupied i would not call that very busy, however 5 minutes later coffee and desserts arrived , desserts were delicious pity about the wait . With a prompt service i would give excellent.

I visited Kaspa’s for the first time with my family during the heatwave, in order to get some respite from the heat and to enjoy a sugary treat. The portions were very generous even for someone with a large appetite like myself. The only thing that faults the establishment is that it does not having table service.

Wait to be seen to a table in a not too busy dessert restaurant that doesn't have table service! We spent a couple of minutes standing outside in a small queue for a place that was almost empty.

Great and delicious treats. We had to order at the counter and a friendly waiter brought our treats. The cheese cake was especially delicious and the children enjoyed the huge glasses of ice cream. The service was slow and as a tourist I found these treats expensive. The decor is bright pink and black and the place was clean.

Waited 15mins for half the tables order to arrive...asked waitress for some spoons to eat oce cream with, she told me i can use a fork as they have no spare spoons...i declined the challenge politely and requested some spoons again, at which she went all harry potter on us and voile produced not 1 but 5 spoons! Amazing huh! Anyway after half the table had finished our deserts (party consisted mainly under 10yr olds who had to watch awkwardly the others eat) waitress braught over the rest of the order for them.very disappointing to say the least.disabled toilets were clogged so the 2 disabled users in the party were expected to climb the staircase to access toilets. During this time we witnessed the manager come out to the other staff and proceed to give the staff a telling off in front of customers - this was half term so of course in the prescence of children too. V unprofessional behaviour. Then to top the visit, a photo was uploaded via social media in repsonse to the #selfie competition, which was then uploaded by kaspas themselves in hull and used as their main photo on instagram! Exciting huh?! Well not really, as when contacted kaspas directly, were informed that braintree kaspas were completely unawares of the competition despite it being widely advertises across the numerous screens in the franchise, and kaspas head quarters themselves also confirmed that nothing had been won, and the photo was being used without prior permission to gain revenue...

Me and my girlfriend decided to go out for a nice meal at Kaspa’s as a celebration of being recently paid. However, when we got to the restaurant there were a lot of problems that we don’t think were acceptable.

walked in to kaspas for an odd sit down and something to eat, had to wait fifteen minutes to be seated when the restaurant only had six people seated, three staff on and one person being served. cutlery was dirty as usual, including the bucket it's served in, menus sticky, floor littered in rubbish, tables cleared but not wiped down. when the store manager pulled up outside, the staff suddenly were being polite to customers and started actually working. very worried about this establishment, wouldn't surprise me if it closes soon.

Visited the restaurant close to closing of an evening and had a perfect experience. Greeted by the owner and was made to feel very welcomed and comfortable as not many places you go to, you will get a warm welcome and I feel that makes all the difference in your visit.

Visited Kaspa's with my daughter and two small grandchildren, the interior is very smart and the service was good. My 4yr old grandson and I shared the Rocky Road Waffle, it was huge and delicious but sadly we could not finish it all ☹️ My daughter shared with my 3yr old granddaughter the Banana & Toffee Sauce Waffle, which she said was really nice and again was a big portion, they did manage to finish their one. We all enjoyed our visit, the kids were high on sugar and the adults had expanded waistlines !!

My partner had been eyeing this place up for ages...! She had a waffle which was HUGE I had a milkshake and cheese cake, kids had icecream.

Went in to kaspas on friday night with my son and the place was amazing. I orerded the new rocky road waffle and my son got the bubblegum ice cream sundae. Mine came over first and my son saw that it had malteasers on it and asked if his did but was upset to learn it didnt, his ice cream came out about 2 minutes later and it did in fact have malteasers on it, the man that brought my waffle over (didnt catch his name but was wearing a black tshirt and had a beard) had heard my son say he wanted malteasers so out some on there for him. Made my sons day. Brilliant service and will without a doubt be back very soon! Thank you kaspas braintree

The staff were friendly & welcoming from the moment we walked in. One of my party has a nut allergy & staff were very attentive to ingredient listings & have very strict procedures in place to prevent any cross contamination (especially handy when my don will only eat Nutella pancake!). When I asked if they had a candle to put in this nut free sundae for the birthday girl they found one. When I asked for a box for my son to take home the uneaten pancake they made one up. And to top it all off the coffee & apple crumble waffle were both amazing. Well done Kaspa's Braintree!!! Just pondering what I'll have next time

Today I visited Kaspas Braintree for the first time after having quick service considering how full the store was I watched as one of the young members of staff was being screamed at by a customer. She attempted to calm the lady down but was faced with more shouting I couldn’t help but feel bad for her as the owner/ manager was just watching when he should have stepped in . Disappointed

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll love this place! Wide ranging menu, great quality ice cream and superb tasting milkshakes. We visited on a Friday evening when it was quiet meaning service was quick. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too. Very clean and modern environment as well! Thank you!

We ordered our food as we sat down, then 45 minutes later the one cup of coffee came out. Around 5 minutes later, our cookie dough came out and they forgot about our cake. Won’t rush back.

been to kaspas four times and on all four occassions the children have left over half of there deserts as they are way to big at a cost of £6.95 each maybe they should do smaller portions for kids . the other thing that has put me off and i probably wont be going back is the coke in a bottle at a cost of £1.95 very very expensive complete downer on the kaspas experience . and lastly the kids that serve you are very slow and take there time in who will serve you next maybe an adult is needed to expedite.

On a wet Sunday afternoon - having walked into town from Freeport shopping village- my son and I decided to give this place a go . Outside the venue looks fabulous and the decor inside lived up to that and more . It was reasonably busy - but there were spare tables to sit at . The menu is extensive with sundaes, waffles , cookie desserts and pancakes. Also on display was a range of scrumptious looking cakes .

Was in need of an ice cream & wasn't disappointed. Visited with family, ordered two waffles & ice creams, pancake & ice cream, two milk shakes & two teas, along with a gluten free toffee cheese cake + ice cream (there's always one on a special diet) the cost was just a little over £40. The portions were huge. If you have a sweet tooth it will certainly hit the spot.

have been 4 times. The first two the service was fine and the food was nice. tried to go after 9pm twice now and been told that i could only get a takeaway and only certain things. No milkshakes crepes or cookie dough. Staff very unwelcoming and seemed only to be interested in talking to each other.

I have just returned from having a waffle at Kaspas in Braintree.

The food here is absolutely amazing, I think it's ideal that they offer boxes to take food home in because the portions are huge! Everything was lovely.

Knowing fully well that the restaurant was advertised at being open until 11pm on a Friday we showed up at 9.30pm. We ordered our food which came 5 minutes apart in takeaway boxes and were told that we weren’t allowed to sit at a table and eat our food because of the staff’s laziness to wash up plates for us to eat off of. We asked if we could eat out of the takeaway boxes at a table but they said it was some sort of health hazard?! No idea what they meant by this but we had paid for our food and had to go and find elsewhere to eat! Horrendous service and rude, lazy staff - won’t be eating here again!

Me and my friends went to kaspas today and booked a table as we were a big group and didn’t want to take the chance of not having a table. However when we arrived when the waiter asked if we wanted a table we replied with the statement that we had booked and he seemed to be so confused. After speaking to another member of staff he realised that we had booked a table and took us to it. As usual the food arrived separately which we don’t have a problem with as we paid for it separately however they didn’t provide us with the drinks we paid for, which resulted in us having to go and ask as no one came to check on if we were okay with our food. Overall an okay experience and would return but the service needs to be better considering the age of their staff

Went on a Tuesday night at about 7.45pm. Not busy & ordered quickly. 2 milkshakes, 1 latte, 1 waffle & 2 crepes.

I've been here with friends and i can tell you that it was horrible!!

Me and partner first visited Kaspas and wasn’t good walked in and waited ages to get seated but there was hardly any customers in there and got seated then ordered, our food and waited ages and our drinks never came! Wouldn’t go there again unfortunately was excited to go but was disappointed. Staff need to more trained.

We went to Kaspas on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday. We were 14 of us, 9 being kids so not the easiest group to serve. Having said that the service was top notch with all the orders arriving quickly and well presented.

My husband and I popped in here for desert to see what it was like. Upon entering we were greeted by staff and were dealt with promptly. The staff are of college age, so it is a case of them learning their job too; saying that they gave a good service.

Waited nearly 30mins for our waffles to arrive (drinks arrived afterwards!) and I found a hair in mine. They offered to replace it but as we had only allowed an hour we had to move on. This is our second encounter with Kaspa's. The service has been awful both times and, if our visits weren't because of gifted vouchers, we wouldn't have come back. Fortunately, we've now spent all of our vouchers and will be delighted to never come here again. It's over-staffed but yet still slow!

Terrible customer service, waited 20 minutes to get 1 takeaway ice cream cone. The tables weren’t clean so that’s why we decided on a take away. The staff looked like they didn’t want to be there and a couple of them looked busy doing nothing. When I asked if anyone was going to serve at the takeaway section the man behind the counter said to me ‘ have you seen the screen they are all our orders so you have to wait your turn’ !! I asked do you not have staff for the take out section and I just got a no. Very poor considering there were a lot of staff and not a full restaurant. Will not be returning.

Today was my 3rd time visiting Kaspas Braintree. I wasn't really satisfied with my first 2 visits but I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt and try it one last time!

The first point I need to make. Is the prices! The prices of the food are so good? About £5 for a waffle smothered in chocolate sauce and brownie pieces (plus ice cream on the side) Now I think that's a deal!

After waiting a week or so to take my daughter in to have a dessert, i was totally dissapointed in the lack of staff and customer service. After waiting a very long time to be seated, (even though lots of people left and there was tables, basically waiting to be cleared) we were taken to a table and was muttered food was 30-1 hour delay by the lady who then run off. We were then ignored for 40 mins and no order was ever taken. Only wanted one cake dessert for daughter. So after being in the restaurant over an hour, totally ignored as obviusly not enough staff and non existent customer service... Shame as food smelled nice. Another customer complained while we were at the table being ignored as they waiting 1 1/2 hours for there desserts and someone that just come in before we were seated was served in 5 minutes..... Totally disorganised. Sorry but i can go anywhere else in braintree and be seated straight away, order taken within 5 mins and food within 15 min, yet was there over an hour and order not even taken. My daughter was extremly dissapointed as i had been promising to get a lovely dessert, so i had to buy one from iceland and do at home which took 3 minutes !!!!!!!!!

It is a little disorganised and you need to be prepared to wait. The waiting starts on entering the premises where no one person seemed to be tasked with getting you seated and you hear the call for someone to deal with queue. Once seated as a new visitor there was no explanation of what to do. Menus arrived later. We worked out what to do. Once the food was ordered we sat back and waited. The drinks arrived but at different times. The food then followed and again at different times. I had finished mine by the time the other food reached the table. As for the food it was nice and well presented. Will I return? Yes but they do need to up their game.

So, thought we would try this new waffle place in town and I’m so glad we did! We were sat in a booth and the place was full so that’s always a good sign!
