Poor food and expensive but place has nice setting

What a great experience. Took our nephew in and he loved it. Staff were exceptionally professional. Food was top notch also. Will definitely be back.

Great food - burgers were excellent. Service was superb and staff were brilliant. Atmosphere is great fun for whole family - especially for dinosaur enthusiasts and the chance to buy a gift from the shop is a great idea. Definitely a new regular fix!

We were made to feel very welcome and were offered excellent service by Arwen, who is very personable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and were attended well without being pressured at all. The food was well prepared and tasty. The addition of Arwen bringing two different puppets to the table along with a box of fossils was a nice touch. I am sure children would be extremely excited to visit this restaurant. The gift shop on the way out is suitably tempting! A great place for Dinosaur lovers!!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and entertained my two grandchildren. So glad we went here.

Terrible food, we waited a long time for our order even though there were only 2 other families there on a quiet evening. After a family day out we were super excited to be here, the kids loved the dinosaurs and we liked the servers were dressed up too. The meat was so dry and gristly and kids pasta wasn’t received well. Unfortunately we would have preferred going to five guys or drive through. If the food matched the restaurant this place would be so popular! Prices too high for quality of food served. Ruined what was meant to be a lovely end to the day.

We used to go very often, but recently the food is going down. We had breakfast as well as dinner. The last time we had breakfast was not good we inform and they said our feedback will be send to the kitchen. This evening we had dinner really disappointed shame do not think we will go back, shame as my daughter likes the place but the food ….

Fantastic burgers, decent prices and a fun atmosphere. Love the dino puppets that come round as was really cute for the kids.

Going here is a tremendously fun experience from the atmosphere alone, but it's backed up with a really tasty and diverse menu as well as very friendly service. It's pretty quickly become a real favourite of mine and my partner's and we'll definitely be back!

It's very dark inside. We order a child's fish finger, a burger and a large pizza. The fish finger seemed to be deep fat fried and the fish inside was very brown. Definitely reconstituted fish. The pizza was covered in cheese so thick it was hard to taste anything else! The service was good, especially when one of the servers came round with a puppet dinosaur to entertain the children.

Food and drink massively over priced, the pizza was somehow dry and stodgy at the same time and tasted like a cheap tesco job, I managed 2 slices before I gave up. All burgers seem to come with pretentious buns wife said her burger was really dry. The girls liked the place but we won't be bothering again, also where we were sat was really cold, the metal chairs on the hard floor was a bad and very noisy idea and it is so dark inside we struggled to read the menu. The parking was a nightmare, overall a very disappointing experience

For Dino infatuated kids the place is great. Kids loved it. However on the two times we've been service has been dreadfully slow (45 mins for food to be served on our last visit and the place wasn't at full capacity) which for a restaurant asked at kids is too slow (even the manager agreed). Serving staff lack real passion with it almost feeling a hardship to crack a smile or show any emotion. Food is okay, standard pub grub quality with the price to match. At least it's hot!! Not somewhere I'm going to come back to again though. Considering you only get 5 hours parking at Rushden Lakes.... The fact we spent more than 2 hours here mainly waiting for two courses says how slow service was

Great place for a family meal, any children that like dinosaurs will love it. The food is amazing and service is great. They even do a black or blue coloured burger.

Great setting, good service and tasty food.

Terrible over priced food, chips came out cold, the Mac n cheese was clearly microwaved and had a rubbery texture to them and the chicken wings didn’t look cooked properly. There was no offer to try rectify our order when we stated our displeasure.

Food was basic for adults but fine for children. It is very dark inside. The children loved it. Staff were very friendly. School holidays it got busy about 12.

The concept is amazing, however the food was dreadful, not even my 2 year liked it. The service was super slow or couldn't even find staff, for how much we paid and the concept we expected so more. Such a shame

Brilliant place to go for food, amazing size portions of food and tastes amazing! Seems like alot of money when looking at the menu but with BLC we got 4 meals and 3 drinks for £50! Definitely worth it and Definitely will be going again.

We absolutely loved this place, our 19 month old loved wandering around looking at the dinosaurs whilst waiting for our breakfasts. Very fast and friendly service.

Took our 18 month twins here and were presently surprised by how lovely it was vs some reviews. Food was excellent, appeared freshly made and sure its a more expensive burger vs say a Maccie D's, but you are also sat in a restaurant decorated as a prehistoric retreat! A must for any dinosaur mad children

Stepped in just after 09:20 on a Saturday for breakfast, didn’t stay long enough to get seated though, as apparently you have to give your name and phone number to eat sausage and egg. Ridiculous policy.

Popped in yesterday to grab some food. Decor was wicked and the food was banging. Only came in for a laugh but ended up having a really good meal. Next time will bring the kids.

After being seated at a tiny table exposed in the middle of the room and waiting 25+ minutes for our food, I was served a small pizza which was clearly a cheap frozen base topped with unknown grated cheese, dollops of cold caramelised onion chutney and squirty blue cheese sauce. It made me feel sick and I could not finish the meal. Considering the pizza did not come with chips, salad or even a dip, it certainly wasn't worth £12. As a previous activity centre worker, we used to cook these exact pizzas which would take 5 mins and cost £5... However the staff were very friendly and helpful and the dinosaur theme is cool.

Had a really disappointing visit here today for lunch and it could for a number of reason, we arrived early but they managed to get us to our table, my daughter loved it there with loads of interesting dinosaurs on display, but we waiting around 25-30 mins and didn’t get served, we noticed people coming in and they managed to take their orders before we got seen, we’ll actually no waiters came to our table, so we decided to leave and I don’t think they even noticed us leaving. So quite disappointed and I’m sure they where busy, or under staffed, but we couldn’t say around with starving kids.

Great place for Dinosaur mad little ones. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Felt a bit rushed as the food came out almost as soon as we arrived (had to pre order) but was nice and tasted fresh.

We were served by Curtis who was fantastic with our kids and took the time to bring over fossils to show us and teach us a little bit about them while we were waiting for our food, he was very attentitive, friendly and provided a great service and the food was pretty good.

Booked in advance and took ten people for my son's 3rd birthday. We were informed on arrival that they don't allow birthday cakes on the premises, and we were rushed out of the restaurant shortly after finishing our mains to make room for another group; not a very hospitable experience. The restaurant is unique and the kids love it, but they'd do well to shift their focus from quickly turning over tables and preventing people from simply presenting a birthday cake to their child, and start making more of an effort with the guests that are buying 10-mains, numerous drinks, and merchandise from the gift shop.

Lovely atmosphere with all the decorations. Enjoyed the food. My son didn't want to leave 🤣

We decided to treat the kids, we found the food to be a little overpriced. Wasn't busy but told we could wait, they took name & phone number but then seated us straightaway. 2 adult mains, 2 kids meals & 4 drinks cost over £50 which considering the food was just okay was quite expensive. Was a little dark and very noisy. The toilets could have done with a very good clean there was toilet roll all over the floor. When my husband & children had popped to the toilet I was approached to see if we would be ordering any dessert, when I said no I was told to pay at the till with the impression to hurry up. Good idea for a restaurant but could do with a rethink of prices and hygiene. The children were really into the dinosaurs so it makes a change but a little too expensive for what's on offer.

Great food, and really friendly staff. Very atmospheric, with music and dinosaurs throughout. On the negative side, the seating is awful, really uncomfortable, especially if you have back problems. However, highly recommended it.

Amazing all all accounts today. Breakfast was great, fantastic size portions. Staff were attentive, polite and talkative. Would defo return (11am 15/4/23)

Booked a table for my 3 year olds Birthday. Bit of a gimmick. Seemed like there was hardly any staff. We were served warm bottles of beer. Food was ok, there was no atmosphere, metal chairs on a concrete floor - seemed cheap. 3 year old liked it which I guess is the main thing but we won't return in a hurry.

Was empty when we went in but still food took a long while and was very overpriced for what you got. Had a look in shop and again very overpriced. A one time visit

Great place for a quick bite or for a longer stay. Kids and adults enjoy the dinos and the food is yummy. Food was a bit cold last time we went but still tasty.

Really nice place to eat. We took our grandchild and the manager (Curtis), showed and explained the dinosaur fossils that he had. Excellent customer service. Definitely recommend this place to eat, especially family's. Kids will love. 100% will be going back. 👍

We came as a group of 10- 6 adults, 4 kids- burgers were tasty and the kids loved the dinosaurs and the staff were lovely.

Great restaurant, food was fine. I would recommended the restaurant making more of an atmosphere I.e like the jurassic Park theme tune or more dinosaur roar music etc.

We had a family party here. Staff went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. We all enjoyed the meal and the 5 year old Birthday boy had an amazing time and was made to feel very special. Thank you!

We made the mistake of booking ahead at the Kettering restaurant (the manager was incredibly kind and helpful on the phone and via email to accommodate us) but only discovered this on arrival at the Rushden branch. The staff here, particularly the (manager?) male who welcomed us, were nothing short of incredible. Within a few minutes the deposit had been transferred to Rushden, along with our preorder. Food for 13 of us arrived quickly and piping hot. Every single plate was thoroughly enjoyed without complaint. Even more of an achievement considering our surprise visit! The atmosphere was also great, with staff friendly and entertaining for even the youngest children. I cannot thank the team enough, both the manage of Kettering and all those at Rushden. A lovely end to a 5 year old's birthday. Disaster averted! Won't hesitate to book/eat here again.

The food arrived quickly, but the chips were not very warm. The rest of the meal was nice.

It's a great place, the food selection is mainly burgers, but it's a grill, right? Very quirky titles for the food. The staff were all nice, it was fairly quiet when we went so the staff were wandering. The only minor issue I experienced was that it was a bit too dark. The lighting fits the theme, the decor was really impressive with dinosaurs scattered around but for me it was a bit too dark. Finally, the place has a gift shop selling a nice range of Dino toys and brand memorabilia. Overall, great place and I'd definitely go again. But bring a torch 😀

We held my daughter's birthday party at Jurassic Grill. The birthday party was very well organized, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty, the portions were very large. The dinosaur show for the kids was an amazing attraction. Thank you very much Jurassic Grill, we will definitely come back here more than once.❤️

Will not visit this branch again. Staff have no manners after spilling my drink, toilets are disgusting. Food is just all burgers no healthy option. Was looking forward after visiting kettering. Kids were also running riot around grabbing the dinos.

Family meal out for 2 birthday's. Staff really friendly and helpful even though they were having technical issues. Food was nice and the restaurant theme will keep young dinosaur enthusiasts very happy be warned there is a shop!

This place is a tale of two halves. The decor is great, the food was good and overall we had an enjoyable time as a family. but with a few small changes this place could be great. Firstly, there was no atmosphere at all. It was stale. The ‘soundtrack’ was hit and miss and so the place was eerily silent. Music along with more frequent animal sounds would have added something to drown out the silence. Secondly, the serving staff really need to up their game. They were pleasant enough but on the most basic level of customer service. Why not have a host who welcomes everyone with some light dramatics i.e. “Welcome, Explorers, to Jurassic Grill, where you dine with the dinosaurs. Watch where you walk for the T-rex is hungry and prowling the plains for his tea”. Maybe engage the kids with asking about their most favourite dinosaur and giving some fun facts about them too. It doesnt need to be an Oscar winning welcome but something other than “This way please…” would have really made a small difference. If you are going to have a themed restaurant then you need to embrace it all and not do it half-heartedly.

Service was very slow. Staff were friendly, but slow. We were in there for over 45 mins before we got our food. GFood is overpriced for what it is. My black coloured brioche bun that my burger was in tasted odd and had a strange texture. Nice idea but in practice, no. My kids liked it but I’d have rather gone to Harvester lol. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back anytime soon.

First visit to Jurrasic Grill tonight for our dinosaur mad daughter's birthday and we will most definitely be returning. Great food at a reasonable price. The place is really well decorated, the kids LOVED it and the staff are great. Shout out to Eleanor (and Trixie the triceratops) who made our trip extra special.

Not for aged 9 or above We found the food quite bland and the variety poor. We were met with a smile and a helpful guy but some of the staff could do with customer service training. Won’t be visiting again I’m afraid.

Good: the concept of the dinosaur theme restaurant is brilliant, the decor, the menu ideas too. For a themed eatery I wasn't expecting the food to be wonderful as similar places tend to focus more on the atmosphere, but actually the food was really nice and good sized portions too. The idea of coming round with the baby dinosaur puppet was a really nice addition as well (although the girl needed to speak a little louder as we couldn't hear her very well) and the crayons and colouring sheets. We liked the shop, and the variety of different Dinosaurs, prehistoric animals and fossils. The toilets are unisex, however they are individual cubicles with their own hand washing facilities etc, and we really appreciated the addition of the extra toilet seat attachments for younger children to use. Free parking at rushden lakes for 5 hours. They asked if there were any allergies when seated. Food brought round on trolleys which I thought was a good idea. Not so good: As mentioned by another review on here - the seating and tables really let this place down. It's such a shame as it's such a little thing but considering their main clientele would be aimed towards children I found the height of the tables really odd and no thought had gone into them. My boy is a tall 4 year old and the table came to his chin which isn't a comfortable eating postion. I noticed other children around us were the same. The chairs are really cheap tin and could do with being more robust, sturdy and taller. Seems they've gone all out on everything else and done the chairs/tables on a budget! I feel booths around the edge would probably be more suitable and you would be able to get more customers in as well. As a family of 3, we were also put around a single square table (very small!), we had to move the bucket of condiments to the floor as we had no where else to put them and they were very obtrusive that we couldn't see over them to speak to each other. No one commented or suggested any help! And because the table was in the middle of the flooring area and not edge, I was very conscious that someone might trip over the coats on the back of our chairs, our bags on the floor and the condiment bucket! The dinosaur props could be positioned in the middle of the restaurant, and that would also avoid other customers and their children coming to take a photo with the dinosaur you're sat next to and you/your child being in the background of it. Another suggestion to staff is to probably minimise the amount of times they come round to ask if the food is okay, it always feels awkward when you have a mouth full of food! (Perhaps just have a person on standby in case someone needs another drink etc instead as no bar - all service is at table) Also looked closed on the outside as doors are shut to keep it dark , entrance/exit could be made a little clearer as we entered through the shop and I believe this is intended for the end of your experience instead..

Staff are amazing, really dedicated to their roll and very accommodating. The food lets this place down unfortunately, great place for kids!

Service was fairly good although having to pay on the way out through a gift shop is a bit of a cash grab. Food was average for the price but half the meals were cold and two of the guests spent the next day being ill. Decorations are good although it could do with some more lights so you can see the menu. It was worth a try fit the dinosaurs, but I won't be going back again. If your kids really into dinosaurs then give it a go just don't expect anything special with the food.

Had a roarsome time here and the staff dressed the part. The decorations are great and some of the cocktails are great too with smoke coming out of them. The food was average but at a responsible price. Would definitely go again. But if you have kids that love dinosaurs beware there is a shop as you exit.

A great place to take the family for food, the kids loved it, they even said it was their favourite ever restaurant. The food was nice, the burgers were lush and the desserts were spot on. The staff come round with little dinosaurs for the children to touch and look at during your dinner which was nice. A nice place to eat, we will definitely go back 👍

We visited this restaurant today on our way home and I just wanted to say it was absolutely fantastic, my family loved it. I thought the food was well priced with reasonable portions. Not only that it was delicious. One of the staff members Charlie was very attentive and did such a magnificent job and overall he was very helpful. There was a great mix of dinosaurs and my son kept pointing them out to me otherwise I was going to get my dinner stolen by the hungry dinosaurs. This is a fantastic place for families with young children who love dinosaurs. The kids were walking around pointing out the dinosaurs and it was a lovely family environment. Keep up the fantastic work because it was a great experience, sadly I'm not local but if I am ever in the area again I will definitely come back. Thank you

Decorated beautifully, manager with the long hair that seated us is lovely and most of the staff were great. Lovely touch with the lifelike puppet that the staff use to entertain the kids while dining. The food however was abysmal, it was cold, chips undercooked, way overpriced at more than £13, which I’d have gladly paid for a good portion of food. It really isn’t what you go here for so keep that in mind. There is a gift shop that my son kept wanting to run off to to play with the toys, which are all close to the ground. This made keeping him seated for dinner extremely difficult, but I can understand why they are placed there We paid £73 for 4 mains, 4 drinks and 3 desserts (one of which was a birthday cake slice for my son and with this you receive a song from the staff) All in all we would not go back unless my son really, really wanted to.

Unique themed restaurant in Northamptonshire. Service was great and the staffs really friendly. The food was ok as when they served the food it wasn’t hot enough, taste wise ok.

Great Decor shame the food has been dragged from the dinosaur age kicking and Screaming absolute let down. We went as a small party of 5 kids 2 adults great decor and staff being helpful, then came the food we had burgers which the cheese was stone cold from a fridge unmelted on the burger along with frozen caramelised onions both of which made the burgers stone cold. I sent 2 back straight away which come out within 30 seconds the burgers are no doubt cooked up in the morning then warmed up before serving as burnt flavourless not even dripping fat considering they had just been cooked. I won’t go again at £14.25 for a burger total of £91.55 happy meal would have been better. I was so disappointed I spoke with the waiter then the front of house/manager when paying at the till then finally done the online survey which tells you someone will come back to you as yet 2 weeks on still waiting save your money

Very over priced junk food. I can’t believe the children meals are £6.50 very small portions. No drink or toy included in this. The adult meals were no different size to the children's meals just price doubled. The dinosaurs inside the restaurant looked good however you can’t really go around to look at them because you interrupt people eating.. Personally I wouldn’t pay to visit. I feel cheated about of £60 The staff seem friendly enough but look very down so I dread to think how they are treated. Avoid at all cost. Such a disappointment.

Some of their cooking equipment wasn't working so had to wait a lot longer for food in the restaurant.

Service was decent and the food and drink was nice too. The manager Mr Liam was very friendly and I had a nice time. I’d like to rate them 5, but they don’t serve dino nuggies, which I found very distressing when they told me.

Great experience with a young family (myself, my husband and our 2 kids). My children thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings, the puppet dino's that visited and the food, I don't often see my 5 year old clear her plate! Service was great, I had the blue cheese burger and unfortunately they ran out of the blue buns for that meal, but apart from the novelty if I had gotten the blue bun, I don't think it altered my meals taste at all, food was tasty and well portioned and staff were very friendly! Would definitely visit again. Would be nice if it was a bigger space and a bit more theatrics with the Dino models but again we all loved the experience and our meal and would return!

Both me and my brother came along with our partners and kids and where refused entry unless we provided the restaurant with a mobile phone number, was told by a member of the team that this is due to fire and safety reasons and also if they need to contact us after leaving the restaurant. Better training required as you have no right to demand these details in order to sit down and have meal. Will not come back!

No pizzas available and a number of other meals also unavailable. Members of our party were late arriving so we were still there after closing but staff were attentive and accommodating. Staff were obviously experienced in the unpredictability of young children in their reactions to the Dinasours.

Really impressive layout and menu with obvious time and thought put into this place. Acceptable service on a busy Sunday lunchtime, the cocktails are 10% so quite hard hitting lol. But the burgers are great along with the desserts.

Had a lovely experience there today with both my daughters. Lovely member of staff Chloe spent time with both my daughters gave them a tour of the dinosaurs and was very patient in answering my youngest daughters endless questions, she is a dinosaur mega fan and generally made it a magical dinner experience. The food is what I would call homely, it is not meant as a negative, the food is enjoyable, its the children that love the ambiance of the place and you will pick up something from the gift shop. Again I will thank Chloe and I hope she will get some recognition as I don't do reviews normally but my wife and I where really thankful of the time she gave us.
