I visited twice for lunch on a recent trip. Excellent red curry and also enjoyed a pad thai. You can watch your order being cooked while you sup a beer. The place is very good value for money, and they do a lunch deal for around £3! (Not sure of exact prices as I went a few weeks ago, but cheap.) There is a good variety of dishes on the menu and a range of beers and soft drinks. The most expensive items on the menu are only around £6. Quality is high and the women who run it are very friendly and pleasant. What a find!

Superb food, very fresh, full of taste. Not the cheapest spend at lunchtime £8 for mine (starter, main course, drink) but well worth it in my eyes because it is that good however you can go for a much cheaper deal £3 for a set main meal and tea. I have been a couple of times now and it is very nice. They deserve every success.

A little gem of a place, given that it's about time Burnley's taste buds were offered more than just the usual Chinese and middle eastern foods. I have noticed that they use the Mae Ploy brand, which is authentic, but may be to salty for some. I like how you sit to eat around the stall, surrounding the central cooking and serving area, as this is how it's done in Thailand. Hope Joys stay around for years to come, minus the terrible instant coffee.

Authentic Thai food, on a shoestring budget, in the middle of Burnley market. Brilliant! The £3 curry and a mug of tea deal is far too good to pass up. You can also buy Thai ingredients to make your own at home and I was surprised to find you can have a beer or two if you like. Amazing!

I didn't expect too much from a small stand in burnley market, but I would reccomend this food to anybody! It's healthy and delicious and you can see it being cooked right in front of you so you know that it's all fresh! I will definitely stop by on my next visit to burnley.

Seriously tasty dishes cooked by Joy. Everyone I've introduced to this place have become firm regulars. If you're not sure of a dish you can try before you buy. Quite often i have my lunch whilst getting a take out for my tea, I cannot get enough, I wish I could bring her home with me.

Beautifully cooked and what appears to fully authentic Thai ‘street food’. The five of us sat down against the bar and watched the food being prepared with fresh ingredients. You felt like you could taste every item. A must next time we are in Lancashire to visit family.

Ordered some kind of curry they were serving that day to take out, when i opened it i could not believe the portion size it barely just covered the bottom of the takeaway carton, normal portion of rice wich ended up soaking what bit of curry there was making it very dry.Very tight with portion certainly not worth the £3-00 that it cost.

Found this place when we were working in Burnley. I had the spiciest dish they had and it was great. I had some of the chicken pieces with it which were tasty as well. Would definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly and it also had 5 hygiene rating.

The Red Thai curry is delicious. I sat and watched Joy prepare it from scratch with all fresh ingredients. There are condiments where you sit to add your own heat, red/green chillies, chilli seeds etc. My daughter had Pad Thai, also made from scratch. Great value for money. Would highly recommend..will be going back to try the soup...Also to add my daughter couldn't eat it all so it was boxed up to take home..

Found Joy's by chance on a quick visit to my home town while on leave from my job in Saudi. Excellent quality Thai food cooked to order by a couple of friendly Thai ladies. Tried the Pad Thai, and Massaman with chicken, all absolutely amazing and equal to the quality of some much more expensive Thai restaurants I frequently visit in Bahrain and Dubai - and its on Burnley Market!!!

I have been here loads of times, great Thai Curries and chicken pieces for the kids and fantastic value for money. I try something different on the menu each time I visit. This is great enterprise for Burnley Market selling good wholesome food - I am sick of all the tatty cheap clothes stalls, mobile phone and nail bars that have taken over from the good old market produce stalls. At one time we would go to the market to buy fruit / veg and fresh fish and meat - not anymore its full of "Tat" stalls. The lady who runs this is a really fantastic Thai Chef - and a refreshing change from the other "Grotty Greasy Spoons".Go and try it, you will not be disappointed.

Walked passed this stall many times and it has always been full of people eating, so we decided to try for ourselves. We had three different dishes all freshly cooked in front of us each dish had different flavours and delicious. It cost just £9 and included in that we also got two cups of tea.

Wonderful little place for delicious Thai food with friendly service and great prices. I had the glass noodle salad, which was tangy and spicy (as I asked for extra chilies) and filled with herbs, vegetables and chicken. The cafe also has a small selection of Thai products for sale, including curry paste and fish sauce, so stock up while you're there!

We found this little gem in burnley market after our visit to Thailand. The food tastes exactly as it did in Thailand-superb! I wish she offered an evening service as we would order from here. If you take into account the location and the ingredients required to make most of the dishes I feel the price is a little high, but, it's worth it for authenticity! Also, the ladies who served us were lovely :)

Simply the best Thai food I have ever tasted in the U.K. Better than even the most expensive of restaurantsJoy the chef is a little beauty but generally doesn't have time to chat much. She says that its helpful if people can sometimes ring in earlier with their ordersto avoid waiting.
