Ordered online. The food arrived on time, but part of the order (one of the main courses) was missing. Phoned up, and was told it would be sent out. Waited for almost 2 hours then went to bed - nothing ever showed up. As for the food that did arrive, although it was all hot, it was still subpar. The chow mein was moist but pretty bland. The salt and pepper chips were soggy and had a stodgy texture to them. The dip included with the spring rolls was essentially flavoured water and not really useable. Overall, disappointing. I'll be ordering elsewhere in future.

Absolutely beautiful food done to perfection

Amazing vegan food cooked fresh to order. Struggle to find decent vegan food in the area and came across this takeaway which I had no idea changed to all vegan! Little longer than expected for delivery however was worth the wait as could tell it was all cooked fresh and still hot. 100% recommend! Even got my none vegan family to try it who couldn’t believe how nice it was!

The food was Emm not tasty at all. I was order a chicken in satay souce and I am not even sure if I got right dish as I was ate satay souce view times in different places and taste deffenetly different. Not recommended at all.

Ordered take away and was charged £2 delivery charge when it states £1.20 within 3 miles, we are less than one mile away. Also a 0.50p service charge, what is this for? It may be small amounts but it seems small amounts are being added to bills. Food average.

A very shady place and when you try tell em what's wrong they don't seem to like it instead of being right especially with prices they charge keep away I got spoken at by an European woman who like thought she was doing me a favour by me paying her ol omg she's obviously the owner now and she got a foul attitude not a patch on the golden dragon always brilliant food and never shady a proper Chinese this place has gone

First time ordering and I wouldn’t bother food turned up so dry what a waste of money

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Ordered for delivery. Sent the wrong food, told me I couldn’t get the right part of my order until another 20 minutes. So I asked them to bring the whole order as half of it would be cold. They told me no and they wouldn’t off me a refund. Management is extremely rude. I used to always use this Chinese but since the new management absolutely disgraceful. Don’t waste your time or money. Absolute shambles

The best Chinese we’ve had for ages!

1st time having a takeaway under the new management. Food lacked flavour and the Chicken was like reformed slime!! Absolutely 🤮, will never use again and all food un-eaten ended up in the bin!! Worst Chinese meal ever!!

Tried for the first time through Barnsley eats and what a fantastic surprise. Prompt delivery, good price and excellent food, will definitely be my go to Chinese in the future but will order through their own website to join the loyalty program.

The food here is, I would say, in my personal opinion, okay, but it could be better. It's still worth a try as you may have a different experience than the one I had

Was looking forward to the re opening but was sceptical hearing under new management. Ordered for the first time and was underwhelmed. The curry sauce wasn’t to the same standard in curry dishes and the salt and pepper chicken wasn’t either. Not the worst Chinese food out there BUT by no means not up to previous standard

This takeaway has just changed ownership,we were disappointed with our recent order, we found our food was not as good as what the previous owners made, it's not terrible but nowhere near the same quality as it used to be, prices have also risen considerably and card payments are no longer accepted, good portion sizes but unfortunately we won't be returning just not to our taste, shame it used to be our favorite chinese takeaway.

Just phone up at 9.27pm it says it's closed but thier site says 10.00 typical Chinese

I’m sorry but have to say absolutely awful ordered special curry they had filled it up with tofu also 1/4 duck and pancakes and pancakes were all stuck together so had to have duck without pancakes won’t order again

We have recently moved into Penistone and been looking for a nice Chinese takeaway and have tried a few locally but none compare to this. Luckily we stopped here to try it out and are we happy we did. We ordered king prawn with mushrooms and sweet sour chicken both dishes came with rice included (50p charge for fried rice ) we also ordered a large pancake roll all this for only £13:10.The food was lovely the sauces superb no grease the prawns were huge. The pancake roll was amazing no grease really warm and fresh we could have used our hands to eat it amazing. The rice was spot on we had boiled and fried rice which was superb. We will be using this as our place to go well worth the drive 8 miles. The food was still hot when we got home. We cannot praise this takeaway enough. We highly recommend you try it.

Price on the higher side but nice fried rice. Also they accept card payment (£5 minimum) so it's a plus. Friendly bossman as well hence will return

Aweful! Just ordered a meal ..we were very disappointed. The pancake rolls were dripping in grease...the curry tasted of nothing! It was bland and tasteless. The salt and pepper ribs were grissle covered in well over done batter and had no heat or taste. Im very sure Chinese people would not be impressed by this food. We will never order from there again. Sorry folks..i do not like giving negative feed back or bad reviews but in this case....it deserves it.

Absolutely awful!!!!!!! Wouldn’t go there again!!! Thought it would be an amazing Chinese because it’s rated highly and all I got was disappointment! Chips were soggy and disgusting, sweat and sour sauce was awful not even how it’s meant to be! We asked for CHICKEN FRIED RICE and instead we got egg fried rice with pieces of chicken! Not how it’s suppose to be done at all. Salt and pepper chicken was normal chicken not spicy or anything just plain chicken with 2 types of spicy peppers which is outrageous for the price we paid! £19.60 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!
