Johns Bar & Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

This is a great restaurant, the staff cannot do enough for you and make you feel comfortable from the go get. The food was delicious 😋. We had never tried Ethiopian food before, we were very impressed. This place is a must.

Amazing place ,decorated to standard and there is some thing that makes you feel you are at home .The owner is there all the time makes you feel you are an hounered guest rather than a customer.visit it you wont be disappointed.

We've been here twice now and had authentic Ethiopian food both times. Not sure what it's called but ask for the meal with the pancakes. You get loads, can have it vegetarian and then tuck in together with your fingers. It's really filling and a bit messy so great fun. The coffee is exceptional, they have BBQs every Saturday and they are really friendly. And the price....bring cash....but you won't need much.

I've been to John's twice and can't wait to go again. The traditional Ethiopian food is gorgeous and all cooked from fresh. They also have barbecues every Saturday night. Also, you couldn't get better coffee, they roasted the beans in front of us and it was gorgeous! It is very cheap with loud music on a Saturday night, incredibly friendly and very casual. Totes recommend!
