Went glamping for my sisters birthday had a fantastic time enjoyed every minute couldn't say a bad thing about it the staff are so friendly will be back again soon ☺️

Went on Thursday evening and had the Steak night special. The steaks were excellent, cooked to perfection with onions and mushrooms on a sizzling griddle. The pints of Guinness were the best I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a visit. Been back for the steak several times and they've never let me down. The bar area is nice and cosy with a wood burning stove and the pints of Guinness are great. They have a great selection of food on the menu,many of the dishes I've tried and the food is always really good.

Beautiful Decor, food was 10/10 but waited 55 mins when it wasn't particularly busy and staff wasn't friendly or welcoming and took our main dishes away didn't ask if we would like to see a dessert menu which I'd expect in most restaurants.

Good food, kind staff. They have a kids friendly area. Nice place to visit.

Customer service was shocking. Atmosphere could have been cut with a knife. Have ate here before and it was absolutely gorgeous. Decided to go again, don’t know what was wrong this time. Food was standard, over priced. A smile whilst being served, or even a conversation would be excellent!

Outstanding little gem of a bar with outstanding food, fantastic starters and the filllet steak was cooked to perfection, not many in on a Wednesday put who were in were very welcoming , service from the 2 girls was excellent, lovely roaring fire too. Been in this business for 40 yrs and I don’t please easily but this little place is definitely a place that needs to be recognised 100%

Lovely staff and amazing food. No bother at all for them to do dairy free food. Always big portions and lovely selection of drinks. Guinness 0.0 and regular Guinness the best about.

Had a really enjoyable dinner on a Wednesday evening. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Massive portions for the dinner and good selection on the menu.

Went in for stake night on Thursday. Stake cooked to perfection, onion rings delicious. Chips lovely. Couldn't fault the meal nor service , lovely meal. We will be going again.

Very friendly old school pub, with an extensive menu that also includes Chinese takeaway favourites (which is a genius idea!). Outdoor seating area is class, recommended stop if exploring the Gullion area

Ok so firstly loved the food never had better, but when i walked in I was smoking my hourly ciggies when a employee named meaghan waved me over, doing as I must, i slapped her in the face (LIGHTLY) and mosied over to the bar to get a beer 🍺. She asked me to leave but I bodyslammed her into a table. other then that staff were lovely, would go again if Meaghan quit her job.

Loved this place so much! We visited on a girl's trip and found the perfect place to eat and socialise. The staff were all incredible and spent a good amount of time talking to us and asking questions about our trip (we were from a variety of different countries and shared our story). The pub was very busy which was a surprise for a small village, but obviously people keep coming back. Service was quick and pleasant and the food was very tasty. The menu had a great allergy checker which made it a lot easier for our friend who needed it. Portion size was great and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The atmosphere was great and the music had us all singing and dancing along (think family disco). The building itself and the interior is beautiful with some original features and lots of fairy lights. When we'd finished eating we spent some time sitting outside. The beer garden is huge with plenty of seating and even a little fairy garden at the bottom. We're hoping to return to the cabin we stayed in and we'll definitely be back to Johnny Murphy's when we do

No customer service whatsoever Didn't listen to my order got it wrong absolutely no contact with the waitress worse place if ever been to no atmosphere

Eventually got served - girl was involved waiting on tables - - asked for Bottled Bulmers - came back with a small Magners ! - "don't do Bulmers" - just said you did !! Very poor - bad first impression

Food fab but service very disorganised coming out with plates not knowing where they were for but still will be back usually very good maybe just very busy

Ordered Chinese food from the takeaway and every bit of it was inedible and drenched in salt. I do not recommend at all.

Lovely victorian traditional pub set in stunning surroundings - great atmosphere, service and food - observed other peoples kids very happy playing outside in the beer garden - highly recommend.

I was there with my family on 29. 04. 2023. We tried to celebrate my son's 12th birthday after a day out in the forest park. We reserved a table well in advance which was not ready when we arrived. They asked us to wait in the bar until our table is ready. It's OK it happens many times. BUT we ended up eating in the bar. That is really not ok when we had a table reservation. Bad experience did not stop here. I found hair in my salad and something similar thing stuck on the garlic mushroom as well. There was no soap in the men toilet, not even in the disabled toilet. Honestly, I expected soap in a restaurant toilet. They have a floor staff on the floor who does not speak English and messing up things a little bit. Poor manager looking lady was sweating to correct that girl's mistakes. All my respect to that manager looking lady. She is great. Otherwise the food is delicious.

Found this place by a Google Maps search and glad I did. Really beautiful, here end of Nov and completely dec'd out in Christmas decs. Staff were absolutely amazing. We arrived at the lul time so good for me as someone new here. Would definitely 100% be coming back when back this way. Food is nice as well, thought dessert was banging! Pricing was ok.

Paid for one round of drinks using my card, went to pay for a second and was told you can only use your card to pay for food not drinks because “the owner said so”

This place is extremely cold. The staff are not very welcoming or helpful. Except 1 or 2. Accepted cards for food but not drink. Unless you were 1 of the select few

My pizza and my wife snack box's was raw the give a replacement pazzas and was over cooked I wouldn't eat from there the staf was nice but wasn't even cooked

Terrible service. Called out this afternoon for food and drinks. Sat for 30 minutes and no body came near us. Eventually fed up and left.

Food lovely but no heaters so was very cold service extremely slow. Big group of people in drinking kids running around no atmosphere very disappointed with the whole experience won't be back. Which is sad as before lockdowns would have been a go to place

Amazing. The menu may look pricy at first glance, but the volume is huge, twice as much as others. At car park you can observe Emu and Alpaca and more. Absolutely recommended.

The food was was ok. But the service was terrible then when we went to pay they couldn't find or bill and held us there for 20mins we didn't be.

Food was lovely. The pub and restaurant are really well decorated. The waitress however had a severe attitude problem, really takes away from the whole dining experience. Hope they can get this sorted because it's such a lovely place

Food was lovely and service was great but was dissappointed to be charged extra for a boat of gravey that i requested when my dinner arrived and the waitress asked if their was anything else we needed to accompany our dinner.As mine looked dried looking, i asked for some gravey please and the waitress said no problem and within a few short minutes the gravey arrived as requested.The whole meal was lovely but i was dissappointed at the bill when i seen that i was charged for that same boat of gravey i needed to accompany my meal.I often requested this before in other eating houses, but i was never charged extra for having it.Its these little things that make the difference when dining out, hence why i only give murphys a 3 star rating.

Lovely food,nice staff ,steak sandwich ,comes with no salad , not alot of chips , little more chips ,or portion of pea's would make it a meal ,but have to admit tasty.

Nicest food around. Speedy service. We love the Sunday turkey and ham dinners, tried so many places for a Sunday lunch but it was either too sloppy or the meat was very fatty but we just love Murphys in meigh. Top quality. Well worth the drive from carlingford

Excellent food in cosy atmosphere

Met a few friends here for drinks tonight and i was shocked by the amount of young underage drinkers it was appalling some of them not fit to stand on their own two feet .
