Got order wrong and as shown on pictures this is meant to be mayo on the chicken burgers really pathetic never be back again

Staff are clearly overworked. There was one lady serving 10 or more customers at once on a work night, she looked incredibly haggard and stressed out. It is not acceptable to treat your employees like this, plus this is reflected in the long wait times and poor quality of service as well as the food. Go 2 mins down the road to the Vikings instead, they'll serve you at half the price with nicer food.

Great food, friendly staff, delivery girl needs a pay rise lol, she must be flat out all the time, but always smiling.

The takeaway in this chip shop is excellent and the staff very friendly 👌 😀

Nice service and brilliant food!

No atmosphere because it's a takeaway but food is good, varied menu and good value. I ordered via the app for collection and my food was ready when I arrived.

Good food both in quantity and quality and reasonably priced best to order by phone as if you go up and order at counter you will have a long wait

Went to Holywood Road chippie as usual only to be informed a large order had just came in could be a waiting time off up to 30 mins so decided to try the Ballyhackamore chippie ordered two kids cod bites meals and a portion off chicken gougons ,Firstly the place is full off kids who obviously don't wanna be there service was atrocious,When I got the food home chips where really soggy ,The cod bites and chicken gougons where really overdone and greasy what a waste off money really dissapointed 😤

Very much a standard fish and chips shop. If you want that type of food, John Dory's is as good as any. No problems with the food but service was quite slow

Had a chip & house (kebab) sauce - get exactly what you pay for

Scampi was absoulutley delicious but they saturated the salt and vineger on the fish rather than the chips, apart from that nice food and reasonable price

Generally tasty good food. Although can be a little inconsistent.

My go to chippy in the area now. Maybe pop in once a month on a Monday and treat myself. Yes prices went up around 20% in the middle of last year. But to be fair, their prices for raw materials and energy have gone . Chips are always done well, different sizes so some are crispy and some are nice and big and cooked well. Last night because the fillets of cod were smaller than normal, so they gave me 2. Couldn't eat it all so the dog got a wee treat. Always a decent portion of chips. They have great variety also. For a tenner these days you get a decent feed here.

Use the Holywood Road branch instead, the Ballyhack branch is dog, always has been.

40% chance of missing food. When everything’s there, it’s great food. Was just missing some food from a big order and no one’s picking up. Usually really good though, but some were missing.

Worst chippy food I have had in a very long time. The chips were hard as bricks and the fish was a greasy soggy mess. The batter wasn’t cooked right through. Definitely won’t be returning. Prices up but quantity down.

Shockingly rude staff act as if you're putting them out by ordering food, even when place is quiet. Food is really poor quality. Do yourself a favour and go to some of Ballyhacks friendlier and tastier establishments. App deleted and won't be near the place again.

Used to be my favourite chippy until this evening when I went to order and realised they put each meal up by over a pound at least. Absolute jokers. Weekly business gone. I understand price increases in the current climate but that's just taking the biscuit. £10.20 for a fish, £9.80 for 4 chicken strips and chips. Gangsters. I hope your staff are getting significant pay increases with them numbers.

Love a bitta john dorys. There food is lovely and the menu is extensive. Enough for evweyone to choose from.

Can't fault anything about this operation.. Food was fresh, hot and accurate. Service was pleasant and efficient. Ordered in person, waited about 10 mins. No issues.

Safe and friendly service. Very fast send the fish is massive and always very tasty. I've never had a bad experience getting something from here even when I've strayed from my usual fish and chips choice. Great place

I ordered online and just checked my account and it’s taken twice .. not good even worse it was to be collected at 6 which we did and it was cold ... disappointed total waste of money. Also said Family25 discount off instead only 20 RIP off

Ordered on the app. Selected Chicken Fillet Burger and was prompted to ‘make it a meal’ for £1. Did so and selected my drink flavour. Picked it up. No chips. Is a meal not chips and drink? Staff unhelpful, just said they would speak to the app team and prompted me to buy a chip for £3.20 lol. Also they put ketchup on their chicken fillet burgers (who does this lol?). Poor. Wont be back.

We ordered two cod suppers with dips for collection. We collected the order but when we got home it was the wrong order. We had been given 1 cod supper and what we initially thought were 1 cod goujons and chips. The dips were wrong with both meals. We phoned and initially spoke to Curtis who said that next time we were in, mention his name and that we would get a 20% discount. His alternative suggestion was that we return the meal to the shop. We weren't happy with this, phoned back and spoke to the manager. She said we could have a refund if we drove back to the store with the food. To suggest that a customer return food at all to remedy the shop's error is extremely poor customer service. She was unwilling to entertain any amount of a refund. We therefore paid the cost of two cod suppers but were given chicken goujons instead. We were told we could only get a refund by driving back to the shop. This is not the first time this has happened. You can tell a lot about a business by the way they deal with mistakes and complaints.

Not really their fault but the cod was mostly bones, well and truly turned now but kids enjoyed their food

Called in yesterday and ordered 2 fish and they were absolutely gorgeous the cod was big and also thick....it wasn't my first visit and it won't be my last...worth a visit.

Only go for the gluten free options. Batter is very hard around the edges and not edible but enjoy the rest. Used to do gluten free curry also but stopped so I dont go as often now.

Always busy hard to park poor hygiene training raw chicken could be seen cooking beside cooked chicken using same spatula

Great food as always. The icing on the cake is the friendly helpful staff. The lady in front of me was confused by an offer on a poster. The staff did all they could to accommodate her, even though she was making a mountain out of a molehill.

Called in today just for a chip, well! Waited nearly 10 minutes and no one else in the shop plus when I went to eat them they were all stuck together. Will never be over the door of John dory’s again. Absolute disgrace that they can’t even get a portion of chips right

Disappointed by the gluten free battered fish and tasteless chips

Parked at the garage and was tempted by the brightly lit building. As I was feeling peckish I popped in for a chicken burger. It was good. Not many customers as it was late on a Saturday night so the service was quick.

Awful. Chips soggy overdone. Fish if u could find it was encased in a coating of which I couldnt determine maybe breadcrumbs. The batter wasnt edible fish had a pwculiar taste. Binned most of it. Expensive for what it was. Was offered a credit on my account but didnt take manager up on it as I dont ever again wish to repeat experience. I will call in though to speak to manager regarding such. Oh if fish is frozen they should say on website and let customers decide. Very disappointed.

Ordered a meal took one hour and 25mins to arrive!!!! Taste like it had been reheated was like rubber and not that warm! Waste of money ! Not b ordering again! Disgusted!
