Joes ice cream parlour is quite an institution in these parts.Very popular and has not lost its edge over 50 years (although moved a few metres).

Britannia Inn

31/07/2018: So pleased to find this traditional-style, country gastropub in the heart of the quieter western Gower Peninsula. We enjoyed two local-provenance lamb dishes: both superbly succulent. Real ale drinkers (as my husband is) might be underwhelmed by the ales on offer but impossible to fault the food or the friendly, young staff who waited on us.
13/12/2018: We met up here with friends who live on the Gower. It offers a friendly welcome and pleasant ambience. There is a wide choice of good quality and imaginative dishes as well as nice ales. Service is friendly and efficient. Well with transiting the Gower to enjoy. Easy parking. Recommend!

The Westbourne

27/10/2018: We called in for lunch having dropped friends off nearby and not having been here for probably 20 years!
12/10/2018: This is a good find! Really nice food at a family-owned independent pub, but at Marstons/Wetherspoons kind of prices. Very wide selection on the menu, and on three visits here I wasn't disappointed.
