Britannia Inn

09/11/2018: Britannia inn has all the charm that you’d expect from a country pub. The fire place, decor and cosy furnishings create a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. This with the friendly staff meant we had a great first impression.
13/12/2018: We met up here with friends who live on the Gower. It offers a friendly welcome and pleasant ambience. There is a wide choice of good quality and imaginative dishes as well as nice ales. Service is friendly and efficient. Well with transiting the Gower to enjoy. Easy parking. Recommend!

Gilligan's Restaurant

12/11/2018: We enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch at Gilligan's. The menu was extensive for a Sunday lunch, varied, fresh and home-made. We enjoyed the roast beef and the roast turkey with yorkshire pudding, two types of potatoes, stuffing, four vegetables and plenty of gravy. Delicious and filling. Lovely range of desserts and we enjoyed the profiteroles and the lemon sponge pudding.
03/01/2019: Our first visit to Gilligan's was prompted by the Tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant does things somewhat differently in that there is purely a three course dinner with no a la carte or shorter options. This was a real struggle for my elderly mother as she has a medical condition that means she cannot eat much in one go. So I would suggest they consider a smaller option. However, assuming you have the appetite, the food is good. The fish goujon starter was lovely, light and perfectly cooked. The hake I had was top drawer, again perfectly cooked. That was off the specials board. The other unusual aspect of the restaurant is that despite the fact they sell wine they are happy for you to bring your own. Most customers did just that and were provided with coolers and glasses. The service was friendly and professional. The ambience was good. We will definitely return and have no hesitation recommending Gilligan's.
