Very Nice Curry From Here Just Got The Simple But Lovley Chicken Korma + Mushroom Pilau Rice And I Enjoyed It A Lot The Restaurant Has A Very Modern Look With A Very Handy Takeaway Counter At The Entrance, There Is Loads Of Seating Area And Its Very Clean, The Smells When You Walk In Are Amazing 👌 Plenty Of Parking Outside I Would Highly Recommend This Place, I Will Definitely Be Back 10/10

Absolutely love this place, they go out of their way to cater to you, my daughter has intolerances and as I'm breastfeeding I avoid these foods, Jay was amazing and found something I could have, he also suggested I call before our next visit so he can prepare something I can have. The food has been amazing every single time we've been and the service always 100%

Firstly, I must say that the service we received at Jay's Indian was exceptional. The staff were friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was a success. They truly made us feel welcomed and valued. Secondly, the food was absolutely delicious. We had a wide range of dishes, and each one was cooked to perfection with an incredible blend of spices and flavours. Everyone was raving about the food, and most commented on how it was the best curry they have had. Finally, the atmosphere at Jay's Indian was perfect for a birthday celebration. Overall, I would highly recommend Jay's Indian to anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for making our daughter's 21st birthday a memorable one!

Slightly gutted it’s not about the cost, but presentation of the poppadoms tonight always look forward to our Indian take away on a Sunday as it’s always delicious .can not fault it .. Here is a picture of our popadoms when opened ..crumbled up not how we like them .. I’m sure cnt be helped gtn broken in transport but that bad is very disappointing ..

Tried several times and more often than not something is wrong or missing which is so disappointing. Waiting again for a missing item to be delivered 2 hours later. Can’t see it arriving now and so money lost. Won’t be back.

First time eating in the restauran. Got seated and served very quickly. Friendly and polite staff. Amazing food. Our new favourite Indian restaurant, for takeaway too! Unusual location but don't let that put you off. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Arrived later than expected but the driver called, food arrived piping hot. One of the curry containers was damaged but not too much to complain about. Ordered king prawn madras, lamb madras, and chicken tikka, chips, pashwari naan. Madras was amazing and pashwari dipped in it was out of this world, chips tasted double fried, they were great! Sister had the tikka and she made noises I'd rather never hear from a family member They're surprisingly cheap too compared to other places in the area so all in all I'll definitely be using again

Brilliant home cooked full english breakfast served by the friendliest staff I've been a few times and would highly recommend going. Spotlessly clean, bright and airy little cafe tucked away on the industrial estate, right beside the driving test centre.

Didn't expect a lovely Indian eat in and take away in the middle of an industrial estate, service was friendly, price was reasonable. Got a chicken Madras.. hot tastey and about 7 pieces of chicken. The Madras was more orange than what I normally get from other places but tasted nice.

Ordered via Uber eats, latest delivery time given was 20:05, after three phone calls it arrived at 20:55. Due to a medical condition, I can't eat after 9pm, so quickly wolfed a few bites down while I still could. Food was not great, paratha and puri were bland, chicken Tikka masala ok but nothing to write home about and certainly not worth waiting almost two hours for.

Delicious authentic Indian cuisine. Easy ordering process for pickup or for delivery.

Ordered food last night through Ubereats, delivery over an hour late, and food cold no apology when it did eventually arrive. Tried calling during the wait over a dozen times but phone not answered. Very disappointed indeed

Lovely food, the nicest Indian food I've had in a long time and the best in this area by a mile.

Called in for a quick coffee. Cafe sort of hidden from main road through industrial estate. Beautifully presented with crisp tablecloths & bright & light due to large windows. Nice selection of cakes & scones in display cabinet. Lady behind counter was very friendly & good service. Operates as lndian restaurant at night so may well come back & try.

Ordered a takeaway tonight, food was lovely but waited at least 20 mins more than the delivery time stated, which happens every time. Missing some popadoms and the delivery driver said they would go back to the restaurant and be straight back, only to never return. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Me and my wife Margaret have been tonight staff from getting their fantastic food very good and tasty I had lamb for my main absolutely delicious never used a knife the fork I had just went through it like a hot knife through butter definitely going back would highly recommend this restaurant

Service was brilliant. Food was outstanding. I has chefs special garlic grilled king prawns. They were divine. Forgot to take photos as we were hungry by the time we got there so tucked straight in.

Regular customer here at Jay's. Celebrated my birthday back in November. Ordered tonight for collection. It was ready on time, hot and fresh. The Lanka Piaza was delicious! Staff are always attentive, professional and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble and food is value for money. The atmosphere is always authentic and restaraunt is decorated nicely, creating the perfect ambiance for diners. Great cafe throughout the day too. Back again in February. Highly recommended!

Food is always excellent here. Allow plenty of time to relax and enjoy your meal as everything is freshly prepared. Staff are friendly and the prices reasonable.

Ordered take-away which was supposed to arrive at 21:10 and didn't arrive till 22:30 Bit into the vegetable samosa starter to find it contained mince meat! Not great as a vegetarian. Otherwise the food was very tasty but maybe is better as a dine-in option only.

Ordered on the website for delivery ,for 0630 , with no show at 0705 rang up told driver leaving within 5 minutes,had to ring again at 073p as still no sign of delivery.Eventually arrived at 0745 Food definitely not hot Chicken Bhuna sauce congealed didnt taste or look like a bhuna.chips cold ,naan burnt and cold, and finally one rice instead of two.Poor service poor food

Absolutely unreal. Madras and shashlik were stunning. They forgot our poperdoms which the kids love. We're straight round delivering them. Fast, friendly and again..... unreal. Will deffo be ordering again soon 👍👍👍👍

I have tried many Indian restaurants and takeaways in my time and it seems that most of them are loosing there way and this one is no exception I certainly don't have the hottest Currie on the menu but expect it to have at least some flavour and this one was very bland the delivery was a long wait also so for the above I rate it 2star

Just had a exellent takeaway from Jay's, first time ordering and defintely wont be the last. I had the chicken madras and my partner had chicken rogan josh exellent portion size chicken was perfect not fatty or chewy unlike some we have had. We also had onion bargies we thought we would be getting only one each so ordered 2 but when they came you get 2 of them wich was a good suprise they were huge and tasted fantastic the best we have had, we also had garlic and coriander naan bread wich was huge and tasted fantastic. Both the onion bargies and nann bread was freshly made non of the processed some takeaway's do. Would defintely recommend Jay's if you want a fantastic indian we will defintely be ordering again and this is going to be our go to takeaway from now on.

First time I've used Jay's, he recognised me from Alishaan, good to see he's branching out. The meal, starter, sheek kebab, very good, main meal, prawn vindaloo, excellent, nice to see the vindaloo has got heat in it, unlike some mild versions, rice and naan perfect, only one question, what happened to the piece of potato in the vindaloo, nobody includes it anymore. THANKS JAY, I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING!!!

Was looking for a lovely local Indians and I’ve definitely found it. Couldn’t fault the food, everything was delicious and full of flavour. Very happy with the quality.

The cafe was nice clean and fresh. Coffee not over priced.

Ordered through uber eats. App said order ready at 7.05pm. The order was only processed when I arrived at 7.03pm! They claimed to have sent my order to someone else but I doubt that was even possible in the time frame. Food was just OK..Counter guy wore his mask under his chin while talking to me. I was really looking forward to this treat after a long day. VERY disappointed

Over an hour late and still not received my food

We placed an order for delivery on their website. Thinking the dishes would be small since prices were quite low, we ordered far too many dishes and sides. It took a while to arrive but we now have enough to last another two days. Everything was very well prepared and delicious, much better than other indians here in Durham, we will definitely order again. Thank you.

Ordered a collection for a birthday meal from Jay's, website said 30 minutes for collection it was not ready waited another 30 minutes. When I eventually got the meal and took it home we opened it up and found it was cold so had to reheat it I think it was ready but had been left standing. I might give them a try again but not on a Saturday night.

Jay is such a gentleman and wants nothing more to ensure the customer service experience is flawless. The food is on a different level. The sauce is complex and extremely flavorful. The meat so well cooked it falls apart in your mouth. If you have not tried this place your missing out. Deserves 6 ⭐️

This would have been a 5 out of 5 but we had a poor delivery experience. Don’t let this put you off though as the food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely go back. The staff are on the telephone were fabulous and couldn’t do enough to help. Will definitely go back.

UPDATED REVIEW... Back for a second visit. This time was much better, we both enjoyed the meals. Portions were very good, food was ready within a few minutes of predicted collection time. We will return ! Really pleased to say. Original review below. A tasty meal. Divided opinion of the chapati in our house. I thought it a little too thick, but my girlfriend thought it one of the best she has ever had! Excellent flavours, well cooked. Excessive oil in the vegetable curry which leaked. Lentil daal was more liquid based than we are used to. Will be back again to try other dishes.

My wife & I had our 3rd takeaway from Jay’s last evening. I had the Lamb Balti, my wife had the Lamb Rogan Josh. Absolutely beautiful, the Lamb was so tender, melted in our mouth, the taste was out of this world, stunning. Cannot fault the dishes, cannot fault Jay & his team, and his delivery man. fantastic. First time I've been back here since lockdown. Food was unreal as always.. All covid rules are being followed and the place is immaculate. One way system in place also. Staff all wearing masks and constantly cleaning.. Would recommend to anyone

Great friendly staff. I eat here regularly sitting in and also takeaway as ita on my office doorstep. Meticulously clean. Clear entrance and exit abiding by COVID19 rules and regulations. Hand sanitizer available . Masks worn by staff and customers. Food is really tasty. Varied menu and well priced

A friend and I heard about this place and thought we'd try it sometime. We haven't been able to go in person but I thought I'd give their takeaway a try. I've been feeling ill for a few days and the thought of a roast dinner was very appetising but no energy to make it. So I ordered and half an hour later was ticking in to a very generously portioned roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings including roast and mashed potato, oodles of gravy, Yorkshire pudding and plenty of veg including mashed root veg. Thanks Café Interlude!
