I’m not one to normally write a review, but if you go for Sunday lunch here and you don’t like pepper, do not order the beef!! When I took my first bite I can say it was really tender but the pepper overwhelmed it and I could not eat it. I was asked twice by the waitresses if my food was ok and each time I told them there was far to much pepper, one even agreed with me and told me the gammon was nice, but no one offered to change my meal, even when I was paying the bill, I was again asked if everything was okay and again I told them about too much pepper on the beef. Of the three times of being asked and giving my answer, all I got in reply was oh I’m so sorry. Couldn’t fault the service or the politeness of the staff, but maybe it should be left to the customer to put their own pepper on their food or list it as peppered beef on the menu!

Decided to come here the first night of our holiday at the caravan park. We had pre booked which was lucky as it soon got very busy. Food was excellent and the Apple Pie Cheesecake was to die for. Red wine not the best but ended up sharing a reasonably priced bottle of Prosecco. Service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our night out! Really looking forward to Sunday Lunch tomorrow!

We have been eating at this restaurant for many years & it just keeps getting better. The staff are very friendly & the food is delicious. They also now offer a takeaway service which means now when we are away we eat here most evenings whether that’s sit in or takeout as it is just so reasonably priced & convenient. Lots of tapas on offer for a lighter bite or bigger meals like steak, fish, stone baked pizza’s or burgers to fill your tummy. There is something for everyone. You don’t even have to worry about breakfasts at the weekend - you can takeaway a full English!Superb restaurant & pub with lovely decked area also overlooking some stunning views of the bay. A place we hope to return to for many years to come.

Meals were excellent. Such a shame about the customer service, including the man behind the bar who didn't seem at all clued up and spoke gruffly to us and the lady who told us to take our drinks outside after eating as we weren't "allowed" (no signs telling you this and we had prebooked our table and spent £68 on food and drinks). Yet the family next to us had clearly finished their meals and were left sitting there. We asked to see the dessert menu but were told gruffly that they don't do desserts. Needless to say we won't be back. If the customer service was as good as the meals, I would have given the review a 5 star.

The food is lovely, but the site could do with a lot more attention, the toilets and shower blocks are cleaned first thing in the morning, but by 10am they’re stinking,in my opinion, they should be getting cleaned 4or5 times a day,as it’s a very big site, theres always massive gue’s at the bar,and the owners are more interested in getting drunk and sitting in the bar without a care rather than helping out, it’s like come 5pm they down tools and concentrate on getting passed ..

Terrible Customer Service! Booked in for Sunday dinner only to be told when we arrived that they was not doing food today & come back another day..when we told them we had a booking they just appeared unbothered said they ran out of food and continued to play on their phones & drink with another couple of guests! I only chose cabbage, swede & mash and cauliflower cheese as my veg with parsnip roast potato and yorkshire pudding but still too much! and their was also mash potato, peas, board beans, and carrots if you wanted it!!

Had the misfortune to book at Broadfields Holiday Park. Arrived the day of the Iron Man competition. We had booked for 4 nights but only stayed for one. The caravanning field was difficult to enter as it was a quagmire. The pitch allocated was littered with soiled nappies. The field contained one fresh water tap which was of the push button variety with low pressure. Both the restaurant and bar were closed. All this for £25 a night. It wasn't worth a tenner. The only good thing were the views which were great. We would have left the same day but for the Iron Man comp.

The food here was absolutely amazing!!! We simply couldn't choose what we wanted from the menu as it all sounded fantastic, but eventually narrowed it down to bruschetta and garlic mushroom starters, followed by the road kill ( that's the name of the dish, not what it looked like! ) Steak which was cooked to perfection, topped with onions, peppers and mushrooms, with a peppercorn sauce and Jack Daniels Glaze, STUNNING! We ordered several side dishes too as they all sounded so good, then felt guilty for not being able to finish any of them as the portions are extremely generous and the food was served piping hot too! Kids meals are great value, and one price to include a drink and dessert, also a great selection of beers at the bar, fantastic sea views, kids play area & arcade, honestly there is nothing I didn't love about the place, and luckily we live locally so will be returning quite frequently from now on, and only regret we haven't tried it sooner!

We have eaten here many times over the last few years on our visits to Saundersfoot and it was a,ways excellent.Over the last 12 months or so it was no where near as good and the standard of food and service had dropped. However, we decided to try again after a beautiful sunny day because the decked beer garden to the rear is amazing. The restaurant doesn't open until 6pm, but the bar is open before this and it is well worth visiting. As this is up a hill at the top of the village you get the most amazing views from the decking over Saundersfoot and the bay and in a sunny evening it is even better. There is the added bonus of a children's play area, so Everyone is happy.A friendly young waitress sat us at a table for 6. We were seated in the top part of the restaurant so I could see the sea from my chair! We had garlic mushrooms, garlic bread and chicken wings to start. The chicken wings are in a Jack Daniels and they tasted fantastic. The kids menu includes a drink and a pudding. The price only included 1 side, but for an extra 50p you can get 2 sides. (Although the waitress told us that 2 sides were included in the price!)The advertised 'proper' chicken nuggets were lovely, with 'proper' breast of chicken not the usual processed stuff.2 of my kids had the baked bean & cheese quesadilla, which was a bean & cheese wrap, with chips and baked beans. My daughter said this was the nicest thing she's eaten in ages.I had the salmon sizzler in Jack Daniels glaze and that too was very nice. My husband enjoyed his chicken sizzler and my son had pizza, which was also very nice.We decided to order 3 of the cookies for the kids' puddings, but they didn't have any. However, I was not surprised by this because over the years we have ordered the cookies for pudding and not once have they had any, I think they need to take this off the menu or make sure they have plenty available!Overall this is well worth a visit, as the lovely food combined with the fabulous beer garden makes this a must for our next visit.

Having read the reviews we headed over for what seemingly promised to be a really excellent carvery. Mixed reactions as hubby complained to me the food was luke warm which it was but I prefer it that way. I enjoyed the carvery but the ice cream cake was frozen solid and it needed an hour or so at room temp., before being served. Clearly it had been served straight from the freezer. The service was okay but young girls lacking training who could blame them when it was somewhat hit and miss. All in all I have rated it very good as the carvery itself was to my liking and very tasty.

ToD about this restaurant by friends while in Tenby, having driven past it on our way to Saundersfoot many times. Jan'z restaurant is 100metres off the main highway at the entrance to a Caravan park, plenty of room outside to park and the entrance has a bar which then opens out onto the two eating areas. Wife had only turkey at the carvery while I had beef and pork, you then help yourself to all veg(good selection) and gravy. Good tasting meal with good size portions of meat and as much veg as you want and we watched as several people went back to fill up their veg several times. Whilst we did not have puddings again there was a good selection and children on adjoining tables seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The restaurant is split into two very large rooms and I would recommend you prebook as there are defined dining times.Service was a little disjointed with several young staff who appeared new to the business but they were friendly and polite and I am sure that as the summer season moves forward they will become more professional. Overall a good experience!

A group of us booked in for Sunday lunch whilst on holiday. The restaurant was highly recommended as was to book, so we did. I have to declare an interest here that i don't like Sunday lunch, bottom of my favourites list. But everyone else was keen so i went.Carvery choice was very good, and veg. wasn't overcooked which was a pleasant surprise. Good choice of meat. The biggest yorkshires puddings i have ever seen.So why only average, well mainly own to the fact that i found it all too salty by far. Even the meat was heavily salted. I guess you could call it personal preference, but i can only vote on how i feel. If you like large portions of Sunday lunch i am sure most will enjoy. I wouldn't go back but that is no reason not to as others in my party really enjoyed it and are going back next year!

Had a cracking pint of bitter (Rev James) and ordered a bottle of white (Marlborough Sav Blanc only £12.50) with 2 glasses and so began a really pleasant evening. The young serving staff were brilliant and the food superb. Prawns to start were nicely spiced and served with crusty bread...lovely. Two mains of Tennessee Jacks (fillet of beef in Jack Daniels sauce served with cheesey mash) and both said it was delicious. Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, one between two, a great way to finish - I also had an Irish coffee cos I'm greedy! Really enjoyed our evening at Jan'z as did a lot of other people I think - the place was buzzing.

The food is always of good quality, value for money and the staff are very friendly and customer driven, even the head man Gerald is in the Kitchen on sunday mornings from about 0415hrs prepping up ready for a busy day. Due to certain forced changes the service and food is even better and i find it very hard to see that certain customers have a negative approach, can't really understand what they want.Keep up the good work team see you soon

We have been regular visitors to Janz for many years for Sunday lunch (even holding a surprise party there for my mother in law's 85th birthday) but have noticed recently how the service has gone downhill. Twice this year we pre-booked but when we arrived no reservation was in the book. This week I telephoned and as usual asked for a table near the carvery where there are no steps as my 86 year old mother in law is an invalid. On arrival whilst my husband was helping his mother from the car, I went in to enquire which table was ours but was immediately asked to pay at the bar with my order. I explained that my husband had the money. It used to be a flat rate for the three course meal which was paid for before leaving. We were given a table in the bar, next to a door which was continually left open by customers and by a large screen tv showing British Grand Prix. Not happy. Whilst my husband was at the bar ordering a very young waitress once again asked us to go and pay. When ordering we were asked how many courses we wanted but who knows if they want a pudding at this point. When the waitress finally came to take our order my mother in law decided not to have a starter as she didn't like tomato soup and the only other choice was fruit juice and she already had a drink. The food as usual was quite good. The staff decided then to have their lunch whilst customers were still eating. As we were hidden away in the bar the staff completely forgot about us and eventually when a waitress came to clear our plates we asked whether we could order our (pre paid) puddings. She came back looking very nervous and said that the food had all been binned and there were no puddings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the last time we shall be visiting Janz.

Its a saturday evening and wanted somewhere to have a family meal unfortunately we found Jan'z. We should have know when we saw there was only one other couple in the whole place, we should have about turned and ran to the welsh hills. The food is swimming in fat, no presentation at all. Everything we had is just covered in cheese sayce and a hint of BBQ sauce. Childrens meals are as miserable as the staff, no vegatables or beans with the meal. If you want a freight get your child the warm cookie, its incinerated! I didnt complain as i didnt want it replacing with anything on the menu! If only i have consulted tripadvisor prior to ordering. Avoid unless you like below average food slopped on ya plate!

Been here twice now and both times we have loved our food. Best around Tenby and saundersofot. Great value and amazing food. Choice of 4 meats. Loads of veg and the soup was to die for. My new favourite place.

We regularly have sunday lunch here. It is a three course carvery with the choice of four meats, plenty veg. Starters is usually soup (home made) or fruit juice and a choice of three puds. All the food is home made and very nice.. If i remember rightly 3 course carvery is £10.95 per person excellent value. The location is a converted barn on a caravan site is ideal for a meal. The staff, Lee, Sam, Kelsey and Lucy to name just four are very welcoming and always polite and there to help.We have tried an evening meal in the week there and that was also very enjoyable and very reasonably priced, also you can see your food being cooked which is a nice touch.Keep up the good work see you next week.

Visited with a group of 4 adults, 2 children and a baby. Booked a table for 6pm and were the only people in the restaurant. By 6.15 a very miserable waitress had taken our order. At 6.30 a group of 20 arrived for a birthday meal. At 6.45 they were served (albeit VERY slowly) their main meals. It became very clear that the party had pre-ordered their food as we were still waiting for our starters at 7.15 and our kids were starving. The waitress seemed genuinely surprised when I asked how long the food would be and said the kitchen were "doing ours next"!! When the meals eventually turned up they weren't too bad - certainly nothing spectacular but not awful either. Prices were reasonable too. The restaurant is otherwise well designed, clean and tidy and the toilets spotless. Overall, I wouldn't bother eating here if you're in a hurry, especially with kids. I've never seen such miserable staff - the only decent one with any charisma was the lady behind the bar who seemed genuinely apologetic that we'd had such a long wait. I wish places like this realised how heavily people rely on reviews from sites like trip advisor and made more effort to employ staff that genuinely wanted to do the job (or at least pretended they did) and upped their customer service game - it's so important!!!!

We booked for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday 20/4/14 for my birthday. When we arrived, we were greeted by chaos. People were shoulder to shoulder everywhere, even leaning over and pushing into people who were sitting eating - worse than the tube at rush hour. It took 10 mins to find someone - a waitress with a clip board, who was looking incredibly unhappy and stressed. I explained that we'd booked a table and was told there were no tables and we'd have to wait. I explained that we couldn't wait too long as my son had to go to work (we live locally) and was told it would be about 25 minutes, maybe more. The poor girl had obviously had to go through this with many other disgruntled customers who had booked and said that "other staff had seated people who hadn't booked" She suggested we sit down and wait, but there was no room to stand anywhere and certainly no seats. After 15 mins of being pushed and jostled, we simply gave up and went home. I appreciate it was a busy holiday weekend, but if a place recommends booking "to avoid disappointment" and then ignores those bookings to take money from walk ins, I would suggest they give up on taking reservations and work solely on a first come, first served basis. Very disappointed. I know our local businesses need the holiday trade, but if Jan'z continue disappointing thier locals, they will have a very slow winter. Was having a lovely birthday until we went to Jan'z.

Went for Sunday Carvery for Easter Sunday with family whilst on holiday after pre booking in advance from previous reviews. We were a party of 8 adults, 1 child and 1 year old. The staff were very young and appeared stressed and the whole place was in utter chaos as they were also hosting a wedding reception in the bar area, they advised they hadn't made up a table yet although we had rung earlier asking for a later sitting and they advised our table was all 'set to go' so no. They then said they didn't have any tables and had to split our party into 3 groups of 2 x 4 seating tables and a 2 seated table which we then had to rearrange ourselves!!! Not impressed. The starters were pathetic - choice of pineapple juice or soup, Carvery veg was mediocre but I will give credit where it's due and they had a good choice of meat: beef, turkey, pork and gammon - all cooked beautifully. The staff were practically non existent and after an hour and a half our split table was asked to leave or move to the bar (despite the wedding reception) as they needed the table even though we had literally just finished desert which was also a shambles. There are no baby highchairs - they use booster chairs tied to the adult seats with no tray, which isn't very good for a 1 year old. I wouldn't eat here again sorry or recommend!! I appreciate it was Easter Sunday and possibly busier than an average Sunday but there was no organisation, no customer service at all and mediocre luke warm food.

As we were visiting the area on hols with kids we thought we'd try this as it got such good reviews. We were disappointed. The format was unusual. A table was made up for us (even though there was plenty empty!). We were told to go through and find our table and then we were left. I asked a barman for a menu and was told there wasnt one - its a set sunday carvery. He went and got a waitress. she gave us the choice of fruit juice or soup for starters (!) the carvery for main, then crumble, eton mess or lemon cheesecake (see photo) for pud. The high point was the choice of meats (turkey, pork, beef and gammon), although the accompanying veg was all quite soft and over cooked. Desert was on another level - never experienced a pudding like that! Lemon cheesecake in a glass! I think the lemon element was straight from a jar of lemon curd, the remaining mixture is still unknown! Enough said. We won't be visiting again!

I've been going here for years for my Sunday carvery, and during the season for the odd meal..I am called (victor mel drew) as a running joke with my friends because I always find something to moan about..But they are shocked when we eat in Janz because I have never ever had cause for complaint..The staff are very attentative the food as absolutely amazing proper cooked food just like mums Sunday roast. No frozen rubbish here all freshly prepared on the morning ...I promise you guys you will not be disappointed if you eat here..It gets really busy in the season so I advise you to book early, but if not they will still do all they can to get you a table...And unlike other establishments they don't rush you because they need the table take your time and enjoy your meal in peace..the beer gardens both front and back are immaculate ... On summing up just try it you will go back for more..

Sooooooo good. We had the Shack and Pulled Pork burgers with a portion of chips. They were all amazing, juicy burgers with thick bacon, cheese and full of flavour. We will definitely be back. A little tip: pre-order via their Instagram or Facebook page to avoid disappointment and lengthy waits. They are only open three days a week, the other nights there is a wood fired pizza place operating from the site so pick your day carefully
