Absolutely terrible service, unfriendly wait staff. ordered poached eggs and the egg wasn’t even runny, how can that be messed up so badly? Overpriced food and tiny portions. AVOID

This cafe is the best cafe that I have ever been too and my family loves going here great service and the mangers are very polite I would love you to go again ❤️

Popped into Jamaica Blue for lunch before we could check into our accommodation - and I am so glad that we did! Great price for a family of four to have delicious food, delivered fast and piping hot, and fantastic coffee. There was a slight mix up with our order (which didn’t matter at all) but the server still gave us a warm lemon muffin to say sorry - unnecessary but much appreciated. Would definitely come back again.

Absolute chaos behind the counter. People coming in and not knowing which side to queue from because there is no sign or direction given from behind the counter. Poor service and coffee. Not sure how they are still in business.

I went to get a latte and read my book when I was told not to sit at the back because they were closing soon (it was 4pm and they shut at 6pm). I sat where I was told and another staff member told me my ‘table was closed’, to which I replied that the barista told me to sit there. She then Proceeded to hover around me brushing the floor, eavesdropping on my phone call, and then brushed the floor at my table, pulling out the chairs at my table, and made me really uncomfortable. She then took my latte away before I could finish it and went to brush my feet when I decided I felt too uncomfortable to stay. No one should be made to feel a burden in any establishment and I appreciate Saturdays are not ideal to have to work but this was the worst experience I’ve had to date at any coffee house, especially feeling anxious going in alone. Can’t say I’ll ever be back.

Popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Horrible experience. Dirty table which was cleaned at my request. The veggie sausage bap was so dry. No sauce - nothing. Coffee was fine. It was the attitude of the staff that , I felt, was appalling. So haughty and superior. Rude. Avoid.

Ordered a latte and Americano. Waited a while they brought the latte but no other drink. After waiting a while longer went inside and informed staff that we were waiting for another coffee. A member of staff who had not served us said you didn’t order a coffee. Explained that we had ordered 2 drinks and had the receipt they still said you didn’t. The girl who had served us cane over and explained that we did, they checked their till tickets and agreed. Said they would bring the coffee over and that we hadn’t received it in the first place because they didn’t have a table number. Coffee arrived and it was bitter and was not drink worthy ended up leaving the 2 drinks. Awful coffee go elsewhere is my advice.

Went in for a quick spot of lunch without the kids in tow. 1st impressions the staff were absolutely lifeless.....especially the one who told we where queueing at the wrong end to order ( there was only one other person in the queue!!!!! Did it really matter. Ordered an Americano, diet coke, salmon bagel and a piri piri wrap. Given table number 27 and was told these items would be brought to us. It was Sunday but it was kot busy. A few minutes later our food was brought down, which had been warmed. I never asked for it to be warmed, wasn't even explained that this was what was going to happen. Frankly it made the salmon bagel a bit slimely. The piri piri chicken wrap had absolutely no spice or flavour from it. Tasteless, as was the small amount of rocket put on our plates covered in olive oil. As we were nearly finished our food I had to go and ask about our drinks which were eventually brought down with no apology at all. I would hate to see this place if it was busy. I'm in Forestside most weekends....but at £18 for that shambles I'm never be back.

Loved the coffee and smoothie we ordered, great taste and really friendly and speedy service. Special mention to Abby who made us feel really welcome and valued our custom.

Honestly I really enjoyed it but I have to say prices are way over the top don't think I would go back in a hurry pity as it was rather nice.

Dirty. That’s the first thing to say about this place. The floors are full of food from past meals. The tables are full of debris. The coffee ain’t from Jamaica. The staff is very nice and sweet. It all feels like a low budget cafe, like the one the show in the apprentice, but at higher prices. Avoid.

DREADFUL I especially asked for my food to b well done & it arrived half cooked. Hash browns had been dipped in oil not cooked cold. I have never seen bacon served as raw before & the toasted bread was that hard u’d break your teeth! My husbands was as bad if not worse. We sent back to b cooked & it was returned not much better NEVER AGAIN!!! The prices are expensive Although I did’t want the full breakfast I picked sausage,bacon egg & hashbrowns & that was dearer than the full fry.!!! Egg was £6.00. Hash brown x2 £1.90 No wonder such bad reviews On a plus staff were nice Wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!

Unfortunately a bad experience, my sandwich order came out wrong 4x then when it finally arrived, it looked like it had been half eaten already. My wife had already finished her brunch a while before my first wrong order had even arrived. I ended up leaving with a cold, unsatisfactory sandwich in a take away box. The two members of staff on the desk, were trying to be apologetic, but it wasn’t their fault. The manager paid no notice, a refund wasn’t offered.

Called in on A Monday lunchtime as expected with Belfast on a Monday it was very quiet went in , the doors were wide open which would explain why our Barista was wearing a large North face knee length coat unperturbed my partner ordered a sparkling water and a Latte , bearing in mind quite a few people here were on their lunch break so although not in a rush but couldn’t sit about very long either , ten minutes still no sign of drinks in between time a few people had gone up to the serving hatch enquiring about their meal the whole staff appeared to have a very relaxed couldn’t care less attitude another ten minutes later our drinks arrived , my sparkling water with a very dirty glass and my partner’s latte which had turned into an espresso……advice the reviews for this place are on point avoid at all costs !!!

Fabulous fresh, homemade Pancakes, Bacon and Maple Syrup and Latte Coffee best I've had also friendly, lovely staff would highly recommend

Ordered scrambled egg on sourdough. Arrived lukewarm and hard. Had tried this cafe once before for breakfast and wasn't impressed but thought I would try again. Won't be back and definitely not worth the money. Staff appeared v helpful though but overall quality of meals is awful.

Visited on 2nd Jan. It wasn’t packed, plenty of free tables. Didn’t like the system of ordering & paying before receiving food. We ordered 3 scones & 1 pancake stack, 1 latte, 2 cappuccinos & 1 mint tea. Food arrived, no cream with the scones & they were heated without asking our preference. We waited for the drinks. And waited. And waited. Food was eaten. We asked SIX times for our drinks. Had to repeat the order each time. We were told there was a backlog & they were understaffed despite the 2 waitresses standing about idly. The young guy behind the counter was stressed to the max trying to keep up with orders. Eventually we were told our drinks order hadn’t went through the till, despite them taking the money for it! The 2 waitresses were abrupt & unfriendly, no apologies or attempts to rectify. Multiple diners were complaining at the length of time they were waiting. Bedlam! They eventually had to stop taking orders. We asked for a refund on the drinks which we got. I don’t blame the staff for this debacle. Clearly management have tried to cut corners & have the bare minimum of staff covering over the new year. They have not trained their staff adequately & I doubt this establishment will stay open for very long. Avoid!

Braehead is a bad restaurant the staff are completely clueless to the catering trade and what is required to make it a great place to dine out ,my experience was something from a Gordon Ramsey series that's how I would describe it my tea arrived within ten mins then the food arrived 25 mins later ,Hard boiled poached eggs on toast with a side order of butter who does that puts eggs on the toast and butter in a small ceramic cup so I had to remove the eggs then butter my toast ,put the eggs at the side of the plate for goodness sake simple common sense.

So so bad. Had to wait for ages for our food. It arrived and the chips were not cooked. Sent them back and the same chips came back incinerated 10 min after I finished my chicken burger which happened to have a hair in it. Certainly not mine because I’m completely bald.

First visit me for coffee and cousins having lunch. Staff seemed all over the place. 1 lunch served Turkish eggs very poor! 2nd lunch jerk burger didn't arrived for another 15 minutes and side order was chips not sweet potato chips as ordered. No vinegar for chips. Again very underwhelming. Can't see any of us being back and will be telling friends and family to avoid!

My wife and I have been regulars at Forestside and we have found the Staff to be very friendly and helpful . Now this not a complaint but I would suggest that the table numbers go back to what they were, it would then be easy for the staff to find the number instead of walking around looking for the number as they doing now, Whilst they are doing that food is sitting on the counter getting cold waiting to be picked up for another table Some from HQ would need to visit on a Friday morning when the place is packed to see how the staff get on. Waited a very long time to get bland burger with even more boring oven chips which were also burnt at the ends. The waitress bumped the top chips directly against the top of the serving hatch and they spilled onto the shelving. Not realising we could see the hatch, she picked them all up with bare hand and shoved them back onto the top. Not acceptable. Regret not reading the reviews first, Will not return.
