We always visit this place for a bday or celebration as it's always been great value for money. Service has never been top notch as its always very young teenagers without training but the food has always made up for it. However last night's visit for my sisters bday was disgusting. We ordered our starters to only receive half of them? I received none of mine and had to wait while the rest of the table ate theirs. I had ordered some spring rolls and dumplings? But I was waiting over an hour for them. Everyone else had finished their food even a couple of tables had received their food before I was then told they ate just putting my order in. The servers had to tell the chef 3 times to put my order on as I was waiting. So when I eventually got my food everyone had finished and was ready for the mains so they ordered them to avoid anymore delays. An hour later they came out and were less than satisfactory. My dad's salt and pepper squid wasn't even cooked properly. Everything was less than perfect? I.e the veg was a little undercooked, the sweet and sour tasted like orange chicken. The table next to us had been there since 5pm and left 3 hours later complaining about the delay and missing dishes as well as the way the boss had been shouting at the teenage staff. We could hear him berating the staff regularly from the kitchen. We left about 3 hours after starting as well and none of the previous tables had been cleared. Even our starters dishes were not removed? We ended up doing it ourselves. We will not be returning ever again

Ordered a meal from here as a takeaway at 4.30pm the other day, arrived home and dished it out and on looking at it as I did, I thought this does not look good, everything looked old and dried up as if it was cooked 24 hours before. thinking about it I bet it was all from the night before after ordering it just as they opened. having spent over £40 I was really miffed over it. nobody ate any of it after tasting it. Sadly it ended up in the bin. I will never visit this place again.

I love this place. The food is always top quality and plenty to choose from. The service is good but can be sore if it’s busy but the food is always worth waiting for.

Now called the new oriental we went to get a takeaway at 7-00 pm ordered and paid. After 1 hour and 39 minutes I got asked for a refund and went to McDonald’s! Everyone complaining ! I asked the girls why they didn’t tell me there was a long wait when I ordered they told me they were told not to ! So on the basis that the owners are greedy clowns with no respect for customers I definitely won’t go back

Now called the New Oriental. Had a meal in the restaurant last night, The Food was excellent, but the service as appalling. I ordered 2 x soup dishes, the waitress brought 1 when I told her that I had ordered 2, she came back that the girl had only written 1 she would get me another, she then started bringing out the main course. My wife had eaten her soup by the time I got my soup,the main course was getting cold. We ended up feeling that the whole meal was rushed and has a result we did not enjoy the dining experience. The next time we go I will order the main course after we have finished the 1st one, then perhaps we can take our time and enjoy the delicious food. It wasn't as though they were busy, we were the only couple in the restaurant. The waitresses were more interested in their mobile phones than looking after the customers. Shame really because we have been going there for years when it was the Jade Palace and never had service like this. No matter how good their food is they need to get a their service sorted out or I'm afraid we will be looking for somewhere else to eat.

Been waiting half an hour for my food. I’m v hungry, bad time keeping but good food when you get it. Help

Been using this place since October. Telephone orders 15 to 20 minutes always excellent. Food piping hot and tasty

Rang up to order a takeaway for 2...was told would be an hour....went to collect after the appropriate hour and waited...and waited...eventually 2hrs 20 mins later after enquiring several times it arrived. After all that wait it was the worst Chinese takeaway we had ever had...dry burnt chips, very bland chicken and mushroom (3 small pieces of chicken a few mushrooms and mainly onions) I fared only slightly better with sweet and sour king prawns Hong Kong style which were overcooked. So disappointing after all that wait...many disgruntled customers who had been waiting equally as long, several asked for refunds and walked out...poor service and appalling food...we will never use them again.

Ordered over the phone to pick up ! Was told it would be 45/50 mins ! Turned up to collect and still not ready! Had to wait a further 40 minutes than stated! Wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t even a big order!!! Won’t go again!

Nice food and a wide range. Usually use it for takeaways. Inside it's a bit tired and the service isn't the fastest, but it's friendly.

Ignore the rubbish reviews. The place is called new oriental now and wow food was delicious. Im a man that loves my food. The service was lovely from the 2 young women working. It is a takeaway aswell but that didn’t stop the service. Food was lovely. Tasted just how I would expect, clean and not greasy at all.We will be coming back

Visited this restaurant last night. It has changed its name and I think the chef too. The food was the blandest Chinese food my husband and I had ever eaten. It looked insipid and lacked any flavouring. In fact the only dish with taste was the rice!!!!

Went here for a takeaway and was met by two very pleasant young ladies who turned out to be sisters, they took out order. after arriving home and checking the food it all looked, okay as it should be. on eating the food I was very surprised to say that it was all excellent in taste and texture as the dishes should be. it's a rare find these days to find a good a take away that's doing it right in terms of the food. 10/10 keep it up guys!The establishment is very dated as regards the restaurant but that does not bother me as the food is excellent here. if they gave it a refurbish they would be on a winner.

Well everything is very dated about the restaurant, its like a throwback to 30 years ago. It would certainly benefit from updating. We were presented with the winelist and ordered a petit Chablis. The waiter (bless his cotton socks about 14) said they had run out. So I asked if they had Sancerre. He returned a few minutes later and said there were actually only three bottles available from the wine list of around 12! turning to the food, again the menu was very dated , I have not seen sweetcorn soup in a long while. The rest of the food was average. Would love to see this place refurbished and the resturant treated as it should be and made a going concern. This could be a local pearl, but sadly you have to dive very deep to find it.

This is a good Chinese, never eaten in but the delivery service is very good although expect a long wait at busy times!

The food here is the best I have tasted in the area. On several occasions we have had very slow service but keep coming back here as the food is so good. They are closed at the minute and we went to the Golden Phoenix around the corner which was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I'll put up with the slow service for decent food. Also good value for money as paid £10 more for the rubbish we had tonight from elsewhere

Hay tres comprada en China Ruskington y el jade Palace es el único con un restaurante, así que si estás buscando a sentarse es su única opción. La comida puede ser un poco inconsistente, pero me he comido aquí por años y parece de muy alto nivel. El restaurante siempre parece estar vacío, lo cual no es un buen signo, pero no puedo criticar la comida que prefiero a los otros dos chinos en el pueblo. El personal ha sido muy variable a lo largo de los años, hay una señora muy amable y profesional que China no tendrá problemas con, pero algunas de las chicas jóvenes que han contratado en el pasado han variado entre hosco y simplemente grosero.

Visitamos el restaurante en la calle 31 de marzo y el restaurante era mucho más concurrido que de costumbre. Una revisión hecha por otra cena es realmente injusto e injustificado. Sí, el restaurante estaba lleno, sin embargo estoy consternada que el diner en cuestión consideró necesario hacer su crítica personal a la camarera. Tenemos regular para llevar y comer en el restaurante, así que nos hemos llegado a conocer la camarera en cuestión. Sí tuvimos una charla mientras pedimos nuestra comida y me di cuenta de que ella tenía una nueva oreja piercing pero ella ciertamente no estancia y charlar por un largo tiempo ya que tenía un montón de mesas para servir. Si esto molesta la mesa de al lado que deberían haber mencionado mucho este al propietario en el momento. Tuvimos que esperar más de lo usual para nuestra comida, pero son considerados personas y pude ver que el restaurante y el personal eran excepcionalmente ocupados, la comida era tan bueno como de costumbre cuando llega sin embargo. Sólo porque es un buffet no quiere decir que físicamente tienes que. Nos dan 5 estrellas Palacio de jade, como siempre, la comida y el personal es excepcional y ese toque personal de tener una charla y saber qué nos gusta un poco si hace diferencia. No puedo estar haciendo con wingers profesional, ignorar comentarios negativos, si está ocupado sólo ten paciencia ya que la espera vale la pena. Ni siquiera importa que había un niño wingy cuando estábamos teniendo nuestra comida, que de la vida, restaurantes ocupadas y tienen una gran variedad de gente comiendo en ellos. Quizás estamos más acostumbrados a comer solo en una gran variedad de restaurantes de todo el mundo que nos hace que yo y mi marido, considerado, paciente y apreciar la buena comida y el ambiente por el personal. Bien hecho, Jade, seguid así!

Me encantó este lugar hasta la última noche. Mis hermanas comida de cumpleaños fue arruinado. Mesa 6 pm llegamos para 13 personas, además de reservado para el bebé todo lo que pueda comer. Aunque los pedidos de bebidas fueron tomadas rápidamente eran lentos para llegar y este fue el caso en toda la noche. No pedidos llevaron hasta casi 30 minutos después de que todos llegamos. La comida deliciosa y sabrosa, aunque todavía no estaba en su mejor cuando tienes que esperar para los panqueques y otros acompañamientos para el pato que se vaya el frío. De hecho, tuve que recordar traer de fuera. No hand cuencos para dedos pegajosos. Sé que estaba lleno y las camareras eran presionados pero eso no excusa la mala educación cuando nos quejamos de los tiempos de espera. Fue durante 2 horas antes incluso nos dieron oportunidad de pedir nuestros platos principales. Y conseguimos 'no es mi culpa". No era nuevo para la trajo cubiertos los principales, así que terminamos robando conjuntos de otra tabla. Salsa de curry no era hasta después trajo a mi hermana había terminado su comida. Si hubiéramos esperado que hubiera sido frío. Decidimos tomar la tarta de cumpleaños nos trajo a casa en vez de esperar a que se sirve de lo contrario nos podría estar esperando. No sé si es contratar personal inexperto para ahorrar dinero o simplemente mala suerte, pero cuando su camarera más preocupada por hablar sobre la nueva oreja piercing a otra mesa que sirve a los clientes esperando, tienes un problema. Dudo que volveré, lo cual es una pena.

Me quitó a recoger algo de comida para mi hija, y me preguntó si no algo para alguien en el mundo de adelgazamiento.

He esperado más de 3 horas para llevar para dos personas. mintieron diciendo que estaba en el camino dos veces. Discutieron conmigo en el teléfono. Sólo un razonamiento era gratis lata de coca cola. Recepcionista y conductor tanto era genial, pero nada más que eso era asqueroso. Nunca volveremos.

We have been to many Chinese restaurants and this has to be the worst. We a ordered a meal to take away spent £30 on the food and it was awful and when we spoke to the staff about the food the were very rude. Will not be going there again

First thing first I have got to be honest and say the food is the best around..I always phone through my orders! But most of the time the service is awful and very slow, the buffet on a Sunday can get ridiculously busy if there is a few tables as they only have around 2 staff waiting on tables and trying to do the takeaway side and phones! You end up waiting ages for food to come and ages to reorder your food (as the waiters take your order of what you want and bring it out), surely for the 1 day you do buffet can you not get staff to solely tend to that, you pay 14 pounds and can only get a few meals unless your in there hours, when it is all you can eat. The back kitchen I presume is very short staffed. And a lot of the time when phoning an order the waiting times are not what stated. Doesn't always warrant the food being good, but like I say it's the best around so a catch 22 if I want it! Please hire more staff, oh and maybe keep the children separate from a place of work as most of the time they are jumping and climbing on sofas whilst sat on them and eating in the restaurant

One of the worst delays in service I have ever had , 40mins after ordering starter arrived , followed by 45min for next course, then another 35min wait for main , big problem with kitchen staff, won't be going back

Went as part of a group of 20, buffet meal at £10 a head. More than enough food with selection of starters and mains. Each dish was individual and a flavour of its own unlike most buffets around. Drinks were very reasonable and staff very friendly too. Quite possibly the best Chinese meal I've ever had, and I've tried a few! Don't miss this place

Been here for every special occasion and for any other reason we can come up with since it was taken over by the current owners. The Sunday buffet is cooked to order so no stodgy old congealed food under a heat lamp here. The staff are attentive and eager to please. We often ask for smaller portions or tasters only to be given full portions and told not to worry. Yes the restaurant decoration could do with an update but we arnt here for the scenery we are here for the FOOD!! And its really really good food. £13.99 for as much as you can eat, what is not too like?

Can't fault the Jade Palace. In my opinion the best Chinese restaurant in the area. We have yet to try the Sunday night buffet offer but it does come highly recommended.

Had my brother and sister-in-law to visit. Both were impressed by the quality of the food served at the Jade Palace. The satay has a nice chilli kick; the veg is crisp and fresh; the meats are well cooked and tender; the prawns succulent. The restaurant staff are polite and the service was good. The venue itself is nothing to post about (irony alert!). In sum, good food well cooked, which surely is the priority.

Went here for a celebration in January. The food was lovely but there was no atmosphere or ambiance in the restaurant. It seats about fifty and on a Saturday night we were the only two there. It soon became apparent why. The owners children aged about four and six use the restaurant as a playground, running around banging drums and generally making a noise. Eventually I spoke to the proprietor who seemed oblivious to the problem. I won't eat here again. Shame because the food is good.

We have eaten in their restaurant but mainly use their delivery service, this is every fast and the food is lovely and hot when it arrives, we have used a lot of Chinese restaurant around our area and this is by far the best one, food very tasty and things like the curry as rich in color, also if you have any special dietary needs they will help you, very blessed to have this one and would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good meal.

Used the take out version of this restaurant.Ordered food at19:45. They said they were busy but would be ready at 20:45.That was fine...Arrived at 20:40. Was told food would be ready soon.At 21:10 the food finally appeared. Looked in the bags that were on top and not closed properly, to find burnt chips...>>Asked to speak to owner/manager. Chinese lady came out and didn't speak very good English. She did apologise and said that all the chips were like that tonight.That doesn't make it OK. It just means that all the chips required for the night are already cooked and obviously reheated.She apologised as they were really busy. We were the only ones at the take out in all that time, and only 1 couple in the restaurant.This place has gone downhill quickly. We will not return, and suggest you do not waste your evenings.Won't even mention the serving of sesame prawn toast...4 tiny pieces for £3.50!!!!

Food was spot on- we had mixed starter for four then straight into some mains. It was just what you'd want from a Chinese restaurant, and we were really happy with the food. Downpoints were a touch below average service and a poorly stocked bar (first choice of lager missing then they ran out of pint bottles for another lager so we had to buy pints by the half!), also we were served slightly warm lager. But you primarily go to a restaurant for the food, and this was good food. 100% will be using this for my local Chinese takeaway, just not sure we'll use the sit-in restaurant again.

We use Jade Palace every week simply because it is the best Chinese in Sleaford and Lincoln. Their service is always super fast and the food always spot on! Keep up the good work!!

We are a big fan of the Jade Palace's food and often get take away food from here - in our opinion it is the best Chinese food in Ruskington. We ate in the restaurant for the first time the other night and ate early at 5:30pm. The service was good with the waitress being at attentive and dealt with a few unusual requests without issue. Admittedly this was an early sitting, we were the only diners and the take-away orders probably weren't streaming in. The decor and ambience is not the best in the restaurant but if take-away is not an option then the quality of the food is worth the poor decor/ambience and occasional poor service (as suggested by the previous review).

This used to be a good restaurant but now one to avoid. Wasn't very busy on Saturday night but service was terrible and chaotic. Spare ribs ordered as a starter were burnt. No finger bowls or wipes provided to clean our fingers. Plates for the main course were warm when put on the table but stone cold by the time the food arrived. Waitress forgot to bring a warming dish so we had to ask. 2 out of the 3 main courses were almost cold when they arrived and trying to get further attention was nigh on impossible. We gave up.Paying the bill was a battle as they were trying to sort out take away orders for delivery and arguing over which should go out first! Needless to say I didn't leave a tip. My tip to anyone else thinking of eating there would be don't bother.
