Holidaying in Lincolnshire. Took a punt on this place. Delivery took an hour ( as advised). Had set meals A1, B1 and V2. Plus chips and veg samosas. Was very impressed with the quantity and quality of food. The chips were the nicest takeaway chips I’ve had. Crispy texture and just so tasty. Highly recommend on our experience.

I have used another Chinese in the area but unfortunately they have really bad customer service so decided to try Jade Dragon and what can I say.....Wow! Fantastic! Food was well priced as the portions were very big. Best chicken balls ever. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be using again. Credit where credit is due.

I have been a customer of Jade dragon for years and never had reason to complain. However, tonight’s takeaway of beef in black bean sauce was totally underwhelming. The sauce was bland, almost water like and no flavour. The pork in Housin was only marginally better. Such a shame to lose such a good takeaway until now.

Ordered for a treat. I opted for vegetarian set meal, swapped out the egg fried rice as don’t eat dairy either. Food arrives and they have sent a meat set meal in error. My fault as she read the order back to me (she didn’t) I ordered V1 they sent B1. They will return at ‘some point’ this evening to collect the wrong food and partially refund the order. Any reputable business would refund in full for the experience. Never again!!

Worst experience tonight, I ordered prawn crackers and crispy duck to start, crispy beef, special fried rice, satay chicken, and salt and pepper chips for main. Whilst me and the family started to eat the starter we all agreed something was not right, fortunately we had some spring onion and cucumber in the fridge so we discarded the very old looking garnish away which they had supplied and hoped that it was just that. But no!!, The sour flavour continued into the main course and got progressively worse where we all stopped eating, and unfortunately one member of the group began to vomit. I called the restaurant immediately and asked to give us a refund. They asked for me to give them there food back in return of funds which I agreed too. The chef and the driver/manager both returned took the food from me and refused to refund me without telling them exactly what was wrong with the food. I explained to them that something in the food was sour/off and it was surely the due diligence of them to invest the source of the problem. But unfortunately they would not listen to my unhappiness of the meal even once I’d told the I’ve been a chef for 20 yrs..they left gave me no refund and left a very very sour taste in my mouth!! Shocking food, and even worse customer service, avoid like the plague!!

Ordered a takeaway because we had been away to the Lake District and arrived back too late, and too tired, to cook. This has been my go to takeaway for over 15 years but not anymore. I ordered hot and sour soup which was too spicy (and it is a soup I have had from here for years). It was in edible. My wife had stomach pains through the night and to be honest the whole meal was below normal standard. I won’t be going back which is a real shame.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

We ordered a takeaway from this establishment this evening only to find multiple hairs in the food. We were quite disgusted by this and would be under any circumstances but especially under the current climate and COVID being a prominent issue and cleanliness at the forefront of our minds when trusting and choosing to eat out, and rightly so. I called the takeaway to let them know what had happened, I was polite and thought it would be of their best interest to know that hygiene standards had slipped and so they can ensure that this does not happen again. I was told that we could have credit towards another meal ( my husband and I didn't really agree with this, to be honest we were quite put off by the food and after us and our children only ate a few mouthfuls of the food we accepted a refund). We were told we had to come and collect the refund and to bring the hairs with us. I offered to bring the food back (2 containers had not even been opened) as we'd found the hairs first and the rest on our plates I would gladly have repackaged to show the food had hardly been touched, however I was told that this would not be necessary. I offered twice and was told no to just throw the food away. I scraped the plates in the bin, apart from my husbands as I had to fish the remaining hairs out for him to take to the takeaway. Upon arriving there he was told we could only have a £20 refund and that they believed we had put the hair in the food ourselves. (None of us have that colour or length hair). And they admitted members of their kitchen staff do not wear hairnets or cover their hair and frequently walk in and out of the kitchen and handle food (the least I would expect would be that kitchen staff cover their hair). We were then given the feeble excuse that it couldn't possibly be them anyway as their hair is brown! We were incredibly insulted by this we have used this establishment a number of times, and wanted to deal with this matter discreetly but after being made to come into town for the second time and not be given a refund for food which could not be eaten was ridiculous. In their view we did not deserve a refund for food which was unhygienic, had multiple hairs in and that we did not eat. I even offered multiple times on the phone to bring the food back so they could inspect it further (I am certain they would have found more hairs) and to show we could not eat the food, Barr a few mouthfuls before discovering the hair. I rang the restaurant back to complain about the way my husband had been treated, we are the ones who had contaminated food and had to travel into town twice regarding this meal and then treated with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The lady I spoke to rang back and told me a driver would come and give us the remaining refund but I should give him the food back too. This was 1.5 hours after the ordeal and first call. I explained I had since then thrown the food away and scraped all plated barring one. I was told I had to take the food out of the bin and just hand over what I could. I then took the containers out of the bin and bagged them. I was not willing to fish out the food we had scraped into the bin or that had been thrown away. A man then did come to the door banging very loudly at half past 10 at night. He asked for the food, which my husband gave him in the bag, he then said the bag was not full enough and we must have eaten some of the food. My husband scraped his full plate into the bag and the man told him this was not good enough and questioned why the food had been plated if it had hair in it!!! This is just beyond ridiculous, of course it had been plated as that's how we realised there was hair in it when we sat down to eat the meal. He then started shouting, (my husband is the least confrontational person ever) so at half past 10 we had this man shouting on our doorstep, waking up my daughter all because of £14. This kind of customer service is despicable, we didn't even ask him to come he was sent by the establishment. After having contaminated food which we feel ill to have eaten, to having to travel back and forth and receiving the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Told to throw the food away by the restaurant and then an hour and a half later expected to have the food, made to fish it out of the bin and still told this is not good enough and have a man come to our home and shout at us is absolutely disgusting! This establishment obviously only care about money and not the loyalty of their customers. To us it wasn't even about the refund it was about the treatment we recieved and the principle of it. Our family run restaurants and none of them would ever dream of treating customers in such a disgraceful manner. And if any customer ever found hair in their food, would never be expected to pay for the meal and I'll add with no real apology offered. The fault can only lie with them, no one in our household has the colour hair found in the food. The restaurant knew this as they had seen us. Instead of showing respect and apologising for their mistake they tried to deny it and carried on with their terrible customer service throughout. The bottom line is this establishment is unclean and doesn't follow basic health and safety standards and their customer service is even more appalling. The food has always been okay, standard takeaway style food not authentic Chinese and certainly not worth risking your health over or putting up with terrible customer service for. With amazing restaurants near by such as Thai Sabai that also deliver, Gurkha 19, the Italian connection and Tiamo why would you ever need to come to an unclean place such this. AVOID!

Afortunadamente habíamos pedido extra salsa dulce y agria, así que creo que afortunadamente, pero olía y sabía como el ketchup! We asked for our bill 3 times & in the end got up to leave, she soon got her calculator out then!! Pretty much opposite the rail station this little restaurant doesn't look all that much. Inside, there's limited space and relatively few tables but well spaced, and clean. Nice welcome from a pleasant Chinese lady.Extensive menu with the usual selections and some "banquet" choices, modestly priced. We were there with friends and so ordered up and relaxed with a beer.I have to say the food was really, really good. Excellent. Beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The spicy shredded beef with chili was just wonderful - still crunchy and chewy as it should be, even in its chili sauce. The chicken was superbly cooked. We loved all the food we ordered and to be honest, I wouldn't have minded ordering it up again although common sense tells me there'd be no chance of finishing it. Just greedy, I guess... but it was so good. Our friends went for the Tropical Banquet which again looked absolutely wonderful. They certainly enjoyed it, and as a value for money tip, they paid only slightly more for the banquet but got extra dishes and an extra course of crispy shredded duck with rice pancakes and hoisin sauce....... I knew I should have read that menu more carefully.... yum. This place is about 10 miles from where we live which is a bit far to be going for a takeaway but next time urge strikes, I'll grab the insulated bags and picnic box and get down there. Highly, highly recommended. Friends loved it too.

I noticed there hadn't been any recent reviews of the restaurant when we were looking where to go for an eat-in Chinese. So having chosen the Jade Dragon, thought I'd bring the reviews up to date. The reviews we read seemed to hold pretty much true today - The exterior could do with smartening up, as could the restaurant area. On the Saturday evening we went, the take-a-way was doing a roaring trade, we had to join that queue to get seated! The reception area is very small especially when it is a popular take-a-way. Like a previous criticism, there remains little to separate the take-a-way from the restaurant, a temporary screen attempts to do the job, but doesn't really work and investment in something more permanent and substantial would go some way to improving the restaurant. The food was great and presumably explains why the take-a-way is so popular (note their doesn't seem to be many/any puddings). Service was very slow. I would have ordered a second drink had someone bothered to come to the table. Diners leaving from an adjacent table saw their dishes just left their for some time and we spoke to a group (the following day) who said they had to wait too long for their food. - Summary, good food spoilt by the dinning experience. Taking on a waiter/waitress on busy evenings would surely pay for itself in sales and return custom due to an improved experience - or maybe they only care for the take-a-way custom?

After rating The Jade Dragon as excellent on my last visit I am so disappointed when we went recently for a takeaway. The takeaway menu is limited compared to the restaurant menu when I asked why I was told it was because some of the items can go soggy if taken away. This is fair enough so we ordered a lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and salt and pepper ribs. The ribs were tough but tolerable, the sweet and sour balls were soggy and tasteless as was the lemon chicken, this had not even been cut making it impossible to eat with chop sticks. The rice was overcooked, had no egg in it and tasted old. I am utterly disappointed with the take away. We will give the restaurant one more chance however I will never get a takeaway from there again, there are much better Chinese takeaway's in Sleaford.
