Great atmosphere, drinks and service

Clean, quirky comfortable bar. Always a couple of good real ales on tap. Friendly service. Handy for the bus station if you're travelling.

Great in here. Just could do with some soft furnishings. It's really loud and echoey when it's busy.

Great beer selection ( including two cask ales). Music a tad too loud for my taste, especially with all the hard surfaces in the bar, but acceptable quality. Service friendly and efficient. An excellent little bar close to town centre

Lovely bar, friendly atmosphere. But I must add, the bar member who kept shutting the door was very rude.. Because it was fecking freezing 😡🤷 would have liked to stay longer, but too cold.

Crappy beer but refused to change. Asked to leave by 12pm which was fine. We had 30 minutes to drink up. At 11.55 staff and locals were very rude. We left by 12 but we're made to feel very unwelcome.

Popped in with Martin Meerkat. Only my third visit. During covid lunacy there were some tables outside but not on this visit. They had a couple of real ales on handpump. Both good.

Expensive for a pub in the middle of branshatch

Great place to go for a coffee or a G&T .. can get rowdy as the place is small .. outside seating in summer.

Called in after a day on bikes...bar man was spot on..friendly and efficient...really nice and peaceful place to have a quick drink after cycling...😁👍

Great bar in the heart of Rawtenstall. Lovely staff and a great range of drinks. I'd definitely recommend sitting outside under the tree (provided the weather is nice!)

New to Rawtenstall not be greatest selection of beers but good enough nice bar and staff

Enjoyed visiting here last summer, atmosphere was great, staff were lovely. Really enjoyed being here especially with the nice weather, however reason for my 1 star review was unfortunately when I visited the bar more recently staff seemed a little skittish and more stressed for some unknown reason, to my understanding its now under new ownership, and when my son was visiting a few weeks ago noticed people coming out of the same toilet a bit more 'chirpy' than before they went in so I don't know what's going on in there, but what shocked me the most is he saw the owner coming out with someone, and seeming a bit more lively, now I'm no buzz kill and everyone is entitled to there own way of having a good time, but I do not want to be putting my wage into someone's pocket to fund a habit... however I will miss seeing the normal 3 ladies and young man that work there as they are lovely, but after hearing this I wont be coming back which is a shame as I really enjoyed going

Brilliant little quirky place, staff are brilliant too, good atmosphere, all in all, our first visit hopefully won't be the only one, we'll try visit each time we come up north. Well recommended
