This is our Go To Chinese. Can't fault it. Would definitely recommend.

If I could give this place minus stars I would. The low rating is purely due to the absolutely diabolically rude woman behind the counter - I assume the same person others also complain of. I went down to collect a telephone order and upon arrival noticed it was wrong. To say I was met with rage would be an understatement. Of course she didn’t apologise and in fact demanded an extra 60p (fine) - and told me in an extreme huff it would take longer and stormed off into the kitchen like an angry toddler. When I returned 15 mins later she had by now worked herself into a fury. Oh dear. If you’re a guy, she’ll happily giggle like a schoolgirl with you, so rock on if you’re male. You might avoid the hairdryer treatment she gave me for daring to not accept the wrong food. As I was standing chatting amiably to her poor delivery driver (whom I hope is paid danger money to put up with her), she wanted to know why I was still in the shop and started shouting at me! She started a barrage of fairly unintelligible abuse. A thoroughly horrid and nasty person (all over her getting an order wrong - mistakes happen and why she got so vexed and defensive is a mystery) but she absolutely should not be dealing with the public. Needless to say I will never be back and warn others strongly to go elsewhere. The food is mediocre - but unless you want it either wrong or accompanied with a side of abuse - don’t go here! I’d rather eat a dry sandal :-) wish I’d read these other reviews first - believe them! She’s a horror!

Chicken satay on skewers I love but the sauce was very thick. Won’t order them again

Found this place two weeks ago and found it quite pleasant ☺️

Had small salt & chilli munchy box a couple of days ago. Tasted OK but portion size was rather small compared to the same item from the other Chinese take away a short distance away. Won’t be back.

Joke of a place asked for chicken in a peaking sauce with fried rice also nothing but big clumps of chicken which doesn’t even taste like chicken total waste am a regular aswell and definitely won’t be back

This was my first visit to the ivy. 6pm on a Friday so peak time. The lady on the counter was very busy but she politely acknowledged me and said I’ll take your order as soon as i can. My order was taken promptly with a smile. I ordered King Prawn Green curry from the Thai section of the menu. It was excelelnt and had lots of king prawn. Excellent value for money, great tasty food and very warm friendly staff. 10 out of 10 from me

So, out comes a Chinese lady and she barks at me. “Pick up or order!” I didn’t understand straight away and apologise and said I’d like to order. She had sounded very annoyed in her tone when she spoke to me and I asked her if she was annoyed to which she barked. “I’m very busy.” I just left the shop and will never go back. To talk to a customer like that because she was busy is not good at all. When she is not so busy I hope she isn’t counting my custom. Very rude person and I left the shop very angry inside to be spoken to like that.

The woman that runs the place is the most rudest person I've ever spoke to in my life.. Don't ever call to ask where your order is or she'll tell you to shut up & not to call back... 😅

Amazing and they do prawns in cheese sauce love it

Great wee Chinese takeaway, Peking spare ribs are to die for. The meat falls off the bone. Firm fab of mine & my son. Hubby loves the spring roll, it’s huge. Family favs include Chicken satay, chicken curry, mixed curry & sweet & sour chicken balls. Friendly service every time. My fav Chinese takeaway locally. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

2 portions of salt & chilli wings and a Szechuan Chicken with fried rice. What could be finer. Just do it! Not all for me... I shared some.

The IVY is a takeaway in the East End of Paisley. I've tried other places but this is by far my favourite. I just wish their many other customers would get off their backsides and write a review.

Didn’t enjoy one bit, neither did my son , I had beef curry and he had breast of chicken curry both very bland and tasteless , wish we had just stuck to our usual golden city as it’s much better but fancied a change won’t be doing that again 😡

Furious yound driver walks in to ivy no mask on only 2 allowed in said to him for nothing but cheek thinking because he a you lad he's fine what about everyone else my family my kids got home with food to mush chucked was still half frozen never go back

What a amazing CHINESE Totally the best in Paisley meals are delicious and piping hot the woman behind counter does a brilliant job on her own answering calls and taking a order when you go in also making sure social distances are upheld during covid honestly I have tried every Chinese in paisley and this is superb my friend likes really hot spicy food and upon taking order she said really hot you sure ? Well he wasn’t disappointed by far the best he has ever had from a Chinese’s so well done top marks to chefs

Haven't ate a Chinese in 5 years. Mainly as I find they have too much salt and artifical. During lockdown I got sick of same food..... I looked online and saw this Chinese had great review so decided to try. Firstly v v busy... Could not get through on phone at 6.15pm and tried for ages so eventually drove round. Big queue outside and lady on desk handling the stress of a v busy take away. She told me 30 minutes to wait.... Long story short but food delicious! Flavoursome and plenty..... Will return. 5 stars!

Down at the IVY takeaway tonight. Tried the other Paisley ones but IVY is my favourite. I got Chicken Mushroom soup and Szechuan chicken with fried rice. Raymond knows how I like it andit didn't disappoint. Superb! What more could I add. It was superb.

I've used this place loads and it's been Brilliant but tonight am totally disgusted charging me a different price to what a was actually told over the phone then the curry sauce was neither dried in or there just wasn't really any in it making the meal very dry think I'll be changing my takeaway

Excellent food and great value for money

I've been going to the Ivy for years. Raymond knows I like my Szechuan Chicken spicy and always delivers. It's a good little place for a takeaway Do also try their Chicken Oyster Sauce with Fried Rice. Lovely.

Great food as per usual great chinese.

I ordered a prawn toast and a Salt & Chilli King Prawns with chips. Busy wee place and they were dealing with a large order when I arrived. There were several orders ahead of me but I only waited 20 minutes which was pretty reasonable wait. The prawn toast was ok - a bit greasy. To be honest prawn toast I feel is hit or miss at most takeaways anyway. The Salt & Chilli King prawns was excellent. It can with either rice or chips. Loads of chilli, onion, spring onion, and plenty of battered prawns. The flavour was great. Loads of ships too - I ended up halving the portion there was that many. They also gave me a wee bag of prawn crackers for free. The total cost was £10.80 which I feel is good value. Be aware it is a cash only takeaway. I had to go round to Tesco to get cash out. I will be back!

Just had a takeaway from here and the driver was very nice, the food warm and delicious. We have been using another Chinese for years but will be changing to the Ivy.

Best beef and black bean chow mein thin Noddles I've ever eaten. This place is so good I travelled all the way from Stirling took a detour off the M8 to go get some. Staff are amazingly friendly. Never fails to live up to my expectations. Well done guys keep up the great work!!

Having moved to the locale, this is now our favourite Friday night take away. Breast of chicken curry is out of this world. Cannot stop recommending this place to others.

I made the mistake of a visit to this place to give it a try and what a mistake the clue should have been the place was empty and had to twenty minutes for the worst chicken and black bean sauce I have ever had even the rice was bad and cannot recommend to anyone

Great food and exceptional with allergies! Sometimes the salt and chilli chips can be shite at peak times but that occurs infrequently.

Send out half a meal and expect you to wait 40 minutes for the other half and won't replace your meal without you paying even though it there error

Great little carry out restaurant that's not that well known despite being established many years. Our daughter who lived in Singapore raved about their range if dishes available, and tasted authentic. Cash only. Highly recommended

The salt and chilli chicken wings are exceptional. All other food is good quality and the value for money is good. Best to get a delivery though as walking usually wait a very long time.mdelivery is usually very quick so worth the extra fee.

Este es uno de una serie de dichos establecimientos en esta carretera. Es el mejor en mi opinión. Nunca tuvimos una mala comida y aún así y todo fresco. Popular y a veces mejores que llamar para recoger en vez de esperar . costillas son especialmente buenos y diferentes tipos vale la pena probarlo.

My only gripe about the food from Ivy is that it tends to be very very salty and greasy, especially the curry sauce. My first takeaway was very very salty but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and re-ordered a few days later. It was still the same. The curry sauce will need to be less salty and greasy for me to go back. Until then I'll just use the other takeaway 30 yards down the road.

The ivy is a cracking chinese take away that is run by a fantastic chef and his wife and family,the food is quality and they treat ure order every time with the personal touch that make you want to go back.to have heating is something rare in a take away but that and the comfortable surroundings while u wait is a plus.ive tried a few dishes and never been let down.ask for anything and they will accomodate . hope u enjoy.

Top class take away, food is always excellent quality, great variety with many Thai options in addition to the usual Chinese dishes, the service prompt and prices are good.
