Stop for a quick meal which was very pleasant

Very BAD experience with the customer service of this restaurant. We ordered food for delivery. When it arrived they got two of our orders wrong. We called them up to explain what they got wrong and how the chicken beyti has a picture of chicken in a wrap with yogurt poured over and how we got a plain chicken Adana with rice. I will show the photos. The Turkish guy on the phone (who I’m assuming is the manager) had the audacity to say he doesn’t have time for this and hung up the phone. We were mortified. DO NOT ORDER. Worst customer experience I’ve ever received over the phone. We were stuck with 2 meals we didn’t order!!! This is only the second time we’ve ordered and they’ve got our order wrong both times!

First visit for a very early and quick something to eat. We both had burgers with salad and we're very happy with the service, speed and most importantly flavour. Place was clean, and staff attentive. Will look forward to returning for a more relaxed meal in the future.

This is the best Turkish restaurant / takeaway in the area! Food is delicious, staff friendly and the delivery comes in presented nicely on aluminium plate. Apart from the typical kebabs and starters, burgers are mouth watering and chip soft inside and crunchy outside.

Made an order on a Saturday evening via the website (as have done on several occasions before). My wife went to collect and when we got home we realised we'd been given the wrong order. I phoned the restaurant and they stated our order had been given to someone else with the same name... Fine, mistakes happen. They offered a refund and said I would receive it in the next few days. Three weeks later, and despite repeated calls to the restaurant and claims that the refund has been processed, I am yet to receive the money back. It's a shame because I've been a loyal customer and have spent hundreds of pounds there over the years. We like the food, but I won't be going back after this experience.

Absolutely disgusted. Waited over 2 hours for delivery, when I rang the person was so rude…….offered no compensation when we paid £47 for 3 kebab meals…. Rip off

Called in on a quiet Tuesday evening, got myself a cold Efes and opted for the mixed kebab. Both the lamb and chicken were beautifully done, there was loads of rice and salad and some lovely fresh bread. Great value as well.

I have always eaten here. However, I arrived home with my food and found a pair of dirty latex gloves in my food! Hard to believe that this could happen. I emailed first with pictures and my complaint and had no reply. It's not only pretty disgusting, but wholly wrong! Unless I get a reply, me and my family will not eat here in the near future.

Great Turkish restaurant, very nice selection of kebabs and starters. Prompt service on takeaway and everything was cooked well. Nice salad, too. In the takeaway I think maybe there could be more bread, but perhaps it's not traditional. I'd give up some rice for more bread. I also think some kind of wrap would be good on the takeaway menu, something like shawarma, something more portable.

Delicious meal in the heart of Market Harborough. Tried the Mixed Kebab, meat was very tasty and tender.

Never coming back here again. Visited with 2 friends. The food was bland, very dry, and £6 for a plate of chips is day light robbery. In their favour, the best part of the meal was the bread and hummus (the bread was free). Based on the generally positive reviews, I assume there isn't a big Turkish community in Market Harborough.

Prices increased by more than 50% since last visiting in Feb 2023 with no explanation when I enquired why in a friendly manner! A shame really as the food is quite good and delivery 2/3 is on point (sometimes can be tardy when busy on weekends). Not good seeing as been using over 2 years and have made many recommendations and have friends using this too.

We have been here for over a year, this is the first time we tried this Turkish grill. Then we came back a few times. We tried every main dishes like the mix grills, kebabs and some appetizers. Frankly, the appetizers’ portion s are typical England’s restaurants portions: small. Emphasis: Main Dishes or wraps, no dessert or appetizer. It is because it is much better value for you to order another main dish. It you only order main dishes, it is a straight five ⭐️ or more! The staff are very friendly, too.

Disappointing, we received a starter containing mould. However, the restaurant was apologetic but politely requested that we state this on our next order as we are too far away to redeliver. Needless to say, we will never return.

Excellent experience, we will definitely go again. The waiting staff were welcoming when we arrived, the menus were already on the tables and upon ordering the food arrived promptly. We ordered the full size platter, which was recommended for 3-4 people. It was easily enough for the 3 of us and with a beer each the bill came to just more than £60. Freshly cubed / skewered chicken and lamb, lamb ribs, chicken wings, a variety of mezzes, plenty of rice and unlimited bread - all freshly prepared, warm and tasty.

I was a first time diner here last evening and was very impressed. The food was excellent and sooo tasty. Good choices for vegetarian and meat diners. The staff were great, helpful and not overly attentive. They left you to enjoy the food without interrupting. I was surprised how few people were dining in but the takeaway/delivery service seemed busy. I will definitely recommend and use this eatery again. Delicious food, good staff, good service.

This restaurant serves excellent and delicious food, however there are definitely issues with some service elements, especially on Friday or Saturday nights when they're busy. My top tips: 1. NEVER request delivery, always do collection only. 2. NEVER order from their own website/app. 3. Always use JustEat if ordering online. If you do experience an issue, you will find getting a refund much easier and quicker via JustEat. 4. Do expect your order to take at least an hour to prepare and cook on weekends, even when collecting. If you follow the above tips you will have a much less frustrating experience. Cheers.

Lovely, lovely very lovely.. working in kettering, live in Bradford where food is sensational!! I do have to say it's bang on the money. Please do try, a little expensive but guna make your wee wee tingle.

We were here the first time. The food was delicious 😋

We sometimes do not order from Istanbul Kitchen for a few weeks and forget how delicious the food is, so get surprised when we order again. I don't eat meat, but I love their halloumi wrap (I mean how can you make a halloumi wrap so delicious?) and jalapeno bites. My husband tried every kebab on the menu and loved each and every one of them - and he should know cause we are from Turkey. And just when you think that it can't get any better, they start selling beer from Turkey (Efes and Tuborg)! Happy days!

Simply Amazing ‘Original’ Turkish Food. Takeaway service is second to none, food cooked superbly and prepared to stay hot whilst you get it home. From order to pick up never any longer the. 20 minutes! Enjoy!!!

Absolutely everything about this place was amazing! The staff were so attentive and fabulous! The ambiance was great; especially being able to see the chefs cook the food. The food!!! Well…. Just WOW! I haven’t had better! I literally want to go back again today. We started with calamari and stuffed jalapeños which were piping bot, fresh and cooked to perfection. We then shared a mixed grill between two and it was delicious. The meat was seasoned expertly, moist and succulent. Salad was fresh and those chips were incredible. I would give 10 stars if I could! Thanks for a perfect evening.

Was proper tasty ,but didn't sell coffees

This place will satisfy nearly all of your Turkish food lusts. Cooked over real charcoal grills, the roast meats are to die for, as is the Humus that has to be eaten with the crunchy hot bread or mixed with excellent tapas style starter dishes. Save a little space for the warm Baclava or Turkish delight. One problem that lost them a star was no coffee. They can provide you with G and T or a lager, but no coffee or tea to go with your sweet. 1pot of coffee away from 5 stars, shame.

Not just a takeaway, a beautiful restaurant too. The food is delicious and the mixed family platters great value. We’ve had takeaways before but it’s even better sitting in, kids love it too!

Amazing food and impressive takeaway / restaurant - cooking on real charcoal with a big display window for customers. Only been once but will be definitely be returning when I am next in the area.

This is probably the best takeaway I’ve ever had! Brilliant online ordering system, food waiting for us as we arrived and really tasty. Meat is full of flavour and grilled to perfection, good sized portions and the rice is just extraordinary. Can’t wait for next time!

Just had our first takeaway from Istanbul kitchen. Really good quality food, nicely presented and fresh. Plenty of food per portion too. You definitely won't go hungry.

As soon as we walked in the smell of delicious food instantly hits you. To make it even better, you could watch the chef assemble the meat and put them on the hot coals. Everything that came our way was delicious. The staff was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was also inviting, warm and cozy. We will definitely be returning. However, I do have one request: perhaps play a little music? With how good the food was this is a nonissue because all you need is good food and good company.

First takeaway from the Istanbul Kitchen. First impressions were favourable as the place is spotless and the staff very friendly. Good selection on the menu which is all cooked to order including chargrilled sea bream or bass which was delicious. I had the mixed kebab, the chicken, kofte and lamb were well spiced and cooked perfectly. Crisp crunchy salad and tasty sauces. Fantastic meal!!! Cash only though!

Relaxed vibe with a great menu that tastes authentically Turkish. We went for the family sharing platter which came with bread, mezze, rice, lamb and chicken. It's BYO with soft drinks available.

The food was tasteless and plain. Ordered before from other turkish restaurants and it always comes well packed and food is delicious. My order was made of pieces of meat and rice on the bottom. Never again.

Absolutely delightful dinner! My colleagues and myself ordered from Istanbul kitchen on our work trip, everything we've ordered was fantastic, we kept eating even after we weren't hungry. I highly recommend the chicken casserole, the calamari and the wings. I would try a bit of everything next time!

Very disappointed with my order yesterday. The food is generally good but my order came without items that should have come. Bread, dips etc. I asked the delivery driver where they were and she said that she would contact the store and come back out with them. I heard absolutely nothing back. Not what I would call good service. I won't use again.

Order not as described and attitude given when I contacted them. I ordered the grilled fish, which is supposed to come with rice and dips (see screenshot from their menu). It came with neither. I also ordered the Adana kebab, which was supposed to come with chilli sauce. It didn’t. I rang to explain this and was told that I was wrong, the fish comes with chips, which is not what their menu says. I was told that the chilli sauce and dips had run out, yet I was not informed of this and nothing was sent in its place. I was not even given an apology until I asked for one, only an argument.

Placed order for the family, given a pick up time, arrived on time, then waited for 20mins to then as they handed the food to me that one of the meals wasn’t in there!!!! So I asked for them to just put some of the cooking chicken on the BBQ to make sure my daughter had some food to be told ‘No that’s for the orders we have coming in showing me the till orders’ I couldn’t believe the lady who served me didn’t want to put the order right, so I had to leave the order as I wasn’t returning home with only three quarters of the meals. I was told my order would be refunded which it hasn’t yet. The worst thing is in May we had a similar experience there with one dish ordered being fish. Went to pick it up & gave me the bag ‘sorry no fish you want chicken instead’ I said no as they don’t like chicken and again they got shirty with me for asking for a refund on the fish & and an incomplete order. Rubbish service ok food !!

Terrible service, this is the second time we've had a problem with delivery, we gave them a second chance tonight, big mistake. Order arrived an hour and a half late! Not good enough when you want a quick easy dinner option,had to feed the kids...

We placed an order on a Friday evening at about 6.50 and was given a delivery time of “by 7.50”. At 8.20 my husband called to be told our food was ready and sat there waiting for the driver. At 8.40 I called and was told our food had literally just been taken and was out for delivery. My husband called again at 9.10 and was told it’s still out for delivery! Food finally arrived at 9.30 (after calling to cancel and ask for a refund) so we had to turn it away as we had sorted an alternative. We loved this place and have eaten in and had takeaways many many times and it's always been fantastic. I do not like to complain and it takes a lot for me to do so however, this was completely unacceptable. I can understand if somewhere is really busy but just say so - do not lie. Plus we do not want food that was supposedly ready and waiting from 8.20 (if that was indeed even the case)! Went in a day later to ask for confirmation that I would be getting the refund I was promised over the phone as they had not and have still not replied to my emails, and they were rather rude. I have now had my refund so that's one saving grace. No apologies or anything so unfortunately we shall not be returning out of principle.

Food is delicious, even my fussy kids liked it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. The mezes are gorgeous, salad fresh, we had rice which was perfectly cooked. Family deals are good value. Can't wait for our next takeaway evening!
