Imperial Restaurant in Angus

Ordered here recently since my usual along the road hasn’t been so great the past few times. Ordered by phone and was delivered very quickly. It’s cash only and there’s no digital options for ordering. I had beef with green pepper and black bean sauce with chips and a side of salt and pepper chicken balls. Beef was alright but could have done with a bit more flavour and spice in my opinion. Chips were a bit overdone and had gone a bit dry. The chicken balls however were great. Would definitely give it another try and will update here.

Nothing fancy about this little ‘hole in the wall’ but the food was freshly prepared and delicious. I think there used to be a sit in option but not available at present. No worries, we wanted takeaway anyway.

Used to be good apart from the odd missing tub of sauce or prawn crackers but this time I got something weird and crunchy in my fried rice and tge curry sauce was completely burnt tasting and horrible so it ruined my meal. No point saying anything as I'm not wanting my food spat in or something next time.

Everytime we order we are always happy with our food soild 8/10 overall it’s a really good Chinese

Food arrived barely warm. Chicken was obviously from frozen, rehydrated and bland. Curry sauce also very bland.

Good Chinese food in carnoustie

Recently ordered takeaway. Chicken szechuan chips and pancake rolls. Chicken was bland definately did not taste like szechuan sauce, basically a liquid. Chips overcooked, pancake rolls, batter overdone, looked like refryed. Very disappointing. Hadn't had meal there for years and it definately needs improvement.

Only takeaway available. No dine in. Don't be fooled by the initial decor, the food cannot be faulted.

Got beef chow mein and char siu pork chow mein I'm sorry to do this but normally I would highly recommend but this time am not all I can taste is the oil the onions are cooked in with no flavour not wot a real chow mein should taste like. Poor quality of food after waiting over time stated when called in to get this sloppy flavourless food

Sorry meal stone cold 45 minute delivery time was actually 1 hour 50 minutes and cold when delivered

Regularly get takeaways here and the service is always excellent. Polite and helpful staff, never have to wait too long and food is always of a high standard.
