Freshly made pasta. Really friendly people here, delicious sauce, good choices and central location.

Went here as a party of four. We all had pasta dishes accompanied with three sides. This is the best pasta I’ve ever had in Taunton. Freshly made, cooked to perfection. My carbonara was brilliant. For £6.99 this is incredible value. Soft drinks are available but we took our own wine and were not charged corkage. Another major plus. With dessert, the bill was less than £35.00. For food of this quality the prices are incredible. The sorroundings are very basic and a few pictures on the walls will improve things but it’s early days yet. Please note it is cash only for the time being. We will certainly return. Five stars well earned.

We had read about this place in our local newspaper and thought it sounded very interesting. Reviews on Facebook were all excellent and so four of us visited on Saturday evening. A quiet night in town as there was live music in Vivary Park! This place has concentrated on takeaway food but does have limited seating. There is no alcohol licence but the owner was happy for us to take our own wine. We also took our own glasses and amazingly no corkage was charged - unlike one unlicensed restaurant in Taunton that charged £2 per person! We had a main course each and three of us took advantage of the special offer - a side and drink for £2. For mains we had two Formaggio Maccharoni, one Con Gamberetti Tagliolini and one Alla Carbonara. Our sides were onion rings, garlic bread and potato wedges. We shared a desert of Cocobella with caramel sauce - delicious. With three cans of pepsi max our bill was £34.95. The owner was helpful, friendly and the pasta was perfect. All freshly cooked, piping hot and very tasty. This establishment really deserves to succeed - it is good to have quality food at very reasonable prices with no pretention, corkage or service charge. If they do well they may expand into upstairs and turn it into a full blown restaurant, rather than a takeaway with seating - this is where the Mexican restaurant was and so there is plenty of room. Most definitely worth a visit either for a takeaway or meal in.

We have used the pub for many years but having moved away we made a special trip back and weren't disappointed. The owners have now added the 'Snuggery' which is a beautiful self contained holiday let which is in the old part of the pub. We were greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Vic and Paulette [the owners] and shown to our room which consisted of a lounge, kitchen and beautiful bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Once settled in we were made to feel welcome in the bar where we had drinks and caught up before sitting down to a wonderful meal. My partner and I both had the steak and ale pie with fresh, perfectly cooked veg and crispy chips [some of which kept finding their way onto my partners plate!!] - followed by sticky toffee pud for him and cheese cake for me! The service is warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the team. After a few more drinks we went up to our room and had a fab nights sleep before heading down in the morning to a roaring log fire and freshly cooked breakfast. Needless to say we didn't want to leave!
