It was my second time there and I can confirm it's my favourite wrap in Edinburgh. It tastes fresh and delicious. I got a falafel wrap with extra baba ganoush and it was delicious. Also it is vegan which is even better.

Food is great but the owner’s son has no clue about what customer service is. i ordered a lot of food for myself as i was extra hungry and he commented 3 times about the large quantity of food i ordered for myself he said ‘your having a feast today’ if i had an eating disorder this would have been catastrophic on my mental health please refrain from commenting on how much someone eats & keep it to yourself sadly i want be dining in again because of this incident

The shop might be small but it is absolutely brilliant. My mum and I went for lunch and it completely blew our socks off, excellent variety and the owners were very chatty and friendly. My mum said it was the best lunch she had had in ages.

Everything we ordered was amazing, taste of falafel reminded me of home Palestine . Tabbouleh and Batata harra were really good . I use to take pictures of food before eating but not this time I was really hungry and really enjoyed. I highly recommend this nice place and really kind owner

This place is a neighborhood gem. Morningside’s best kept secret. The food is incredible, every dish tastes like a home-cooked meal. Lebanese with extensive vegan options. Almost entirely plant-based. The staff and lovely, welcoming, and create a warm atmosphere. What’s most under-appreciated and slept on about hummus is the COFFEE! Reasonable prices for great coffee in a neighborhood with plenty of good options. This is my go-to spot for lunch or a coffee as a local.

I've kind of gotten bored with vegan options (I've been vegan for many years) but here I felt excited to try everything and truly enjoyed everything I ordered. The service was so lovely, too. Fabulous food and a big warm welcome for such a a wee cafe. Visiting Edinburgh with my daughter-in law who is vegan , I luckily googled “Vegan Morningside” which led us to Hummus. Staff were super friendly and really welcoming. The place is TINY but the food was AMAZING. We had the crispy cauliflower flatbread with salad and tahini and pickled turnip and shared a baklava and a carrot cake … all delicious and served on very sweet vintage plates, water provided too. We loved it and will definitely go back to try more of the menu

This is a great little place to get food. My boyfriend recently discovered falafels whilst on holiday and has become a bit obsessed. He has been on a mission to find falafels as good as the ones we had on holiday, and this place wins hands down. The best place to get falafels in Edinburgh. I had the falafel salad and it was the best salad I’ve had in my life. The people working there were very friendly. They clearly put a lot of love into the food they make. They only have a couple of tables and most people I saw there were getting food to take away. A fabulous place. I’ll be a regular there from now on.

I absolutely love hummus, falafel and general levantine cuisine. I've tried it in many places around the world, and this spot is definitely in my top 5. The service was lovely, with the person at the counter helping me fully through my decision, as I ordered the large mezze box. Their baba ganoush is one of the most flavoursome I've had (reminds me of my mum's cooking!). I strongly recommend it, along with the vine leaf rolls (sarmale as we call them in Romania), and the batata harra (spiced roasted potatoes). The hummus is a bit tangy for my taste, but works really well when mixed in with the baba ganoush and eaten along the lentil bake or the spinach pasty. My only recommendation would be adding something with a spicy kick to it!

I have worked in Lebanese restaurant before and had Humus in different places and the Humus here is so authentic and tastes soo good and different here i think this is the best place to have Authentic falafel and Humus.

This is my far MY FAVOURITE SPOT in Edinburgh. The food here is DELICIOUS, it is very fresh authentic lebenese food. Falafels, hummus, cauliflower, patata haras, tabbouleh, fattoush to name but a few. Reece, the regular chef and man running the show, is very friendly and keen to provide food that will cater to your tastes whilst educating you about the Lebenese cuisine. Every meal here be it takeaway or sit in feels like returning to an old friend. Thanks Reece and the team at Hummus for being a highlight of my 3 years in Edinburgh.

Went in for an early lunch and were treated very well. The bloke running it was keen to cater to our tastes with the, clearly fresh, food. Tasty and flavourful with many different options of Lebanese cuisine. We had a fantastic lunch indeed!

This is our favourite breakfast spot inEdinburgh! Freshly made, yummy Lebanese food, what’s not to like! Family run business, the staff couldn’t not be more friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend to every and anyone. The Baclava and coffee make it the perfect mid morning coffee spot and the wraps and salads are delicious. Wish there was a bigger area out front as it’s also a great sun trap with a lovely view.

I visited for lunch with 6 friends a few weeks ago, and was treated to an amazing spread by the owner and his family. Not knowing much about Lebanese food we gave the staff free rein to provide food for us all. We were treated to a fantastic assortment of dishes, dips, and bread to share, every bit of which was completely delicious. My favourite was the baba ganoush which was so smokey and flavourful, and the falafel which was herby and zingy, but chatting over our feast each one of my friends had a different fave. The cafe was super cosy and the staff were a delight, we had a wonderful lunch and will definitely be back again.

If this restaurant was in the middle of town, queues would be forming outside the door. As it is, it's a great Morningside secret. The owner cooks felafel fresh and does a mean wrap with homemade flat bread, pickle and humus. Absolutely perfect little lunch. Meze and baklava too. All fresh and yummy.

I have been here multiple times and the food is always delicious, fresh. Definitely one of my top favourite places in Edinburgh. Delicious authentic Lebanese food run by a very friendly family. The cafe itself is very cute with a cosy home like feeling with books and art. And the prices are totally reasonable. Cheaper and way better quality food than a lot of places in town. Love it.

Stumbled across this place while having a wander round Morningside on a Monday afternoon. My friend and I are definitely foodies and love seeking out authentic cuisine in the city or wherever we go. Firstly, the owner is welcoming, friendly and passionate about his business. It was lovely to chat to him and hear about how the food is made. The food surpassed all expectations. Having tasted proper Lebanese food in the past, this was bang on!! The food was fresh, vibrant and delicious. I literally can’t wait to go back and try more of the food. This place is a real gem in Morningside!!

Easily the best falafel I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them near and far on this place we call Earth. Made in authentic Lebanese style by an incredibly kind human being that makes you immediately feel warm and welcome. Honestly, a chunk of falafel hit the floor and I wasn’t having it! Had to pick it up (5 second rule doesn’t even apply because the place is so clean) We also enjoyed lovely coffee and Baklava which was as a treat as you’d imagine with those window views.

It was a lovely small authentic breakfast/lunch Lebanese with a Scottish twist cafe😍 We had two falafel wraps one with baba ganush and the other hummus sauce, fatoush salad, vine leaves, tea and baklava ❤ They deserve more than 5* as they were very welcoming and served great food! Will defo be back. P.s. the food pics was too late 😂most was already digesting inside.

I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Part Lebanese, part Scottish; this family business is made with love, like their delicious homemade lebanese food. The bean breakfast is my favourite for any time of day, although if I can't sit in then a mezze box to go. The falafel is next level. The only problem is wanting everything. The vegan baklawa and mum's own-recipe apple cake are the ultimate sweet treats. 11/10

Just discovered this little cafe on the way back from a long walk. Picked up the Lebanese Lentil and Spring Green soup to go (in environmentally friendly packaging) and my goodness was it tasty. Will definitely be returning to sample some more of their lovely looking food.

My favourite restaurant and place to go for a good company in whole Edinburgh! Recently discovered it, the staff is super kind and friendly plus the food...IS JUST SOOOOO DELICIOUS! How do you do it? ( ˘▽˘)っ♨ When you go to a restaurant and you eat even just a salad you feel that the food has a 'restaurant aftertaste'. BUT NOT HERE! The meals they make have such authentic taste as your home made dish BUT the problem is that your home made one doesn't get even just a little bit close to the 'Hummus taste'. EXCELLENT, will visit you every once in a while for sure! (｡♥‿♥｡)

I have been here several times with various members of my family, Vegan and Meat eaters! Never fails to please. Such good food, friendly folk and excellent prices. Small, unassuming but definitely worth a visit. A good variety of salads and tasty treats to accompany them.

Went here for lunch because of the reviews, from Fife, and was NOT disappointed, lovely people, and the most amazing and delicious food, we had the falafel and hummus wraps at the kind recommendation of the lovely staff, and it was truly amazing - will return when ever I am next in Edinburgh, how lovely to have such caring staff, who are genuine, aim to please, who are passionate about what they make and who care about their customers. So happy to have been there today, very uplifting experience, I wish them so well and the best of everything, it is rare indeed to feel that level of care for others these days, so special, thank you so much, your encouragement to me make my own hummus and yours and yours sons smiles will stay with me always.

Excellent authentic Libanese falafels with a nice tanginess. Portions are also filling. And they offer an NHS discount. It doesn't have much space for dining in though with a only a table inside and another on the pavement.
