Hot Pot Malatang in Liverpool

Please DO NOT ever change your TOMATO soup base recipe!! I don’t live in Liverpool but I travel from another city just to have your “create your own noodle” with tomato soup base whenever I am here. It’s the best I’ve had. I’ve been to many other malatang noodle restaurants and none can do the same as you! I’ve not been here for a while so hopefully nothing has changed but I will be coming back very soon! Thank you! ☺️

Excellent broth, choose selections to make your own bowl of hot pot soup. Very decent pricing and quick service. I would certainly come back this place to try other broth options.

The price was really reasonable. My friend and I had malatang, and we only paid £25. I didn’t expect to find a price like that in London!

This place is easily one of my favorite spots for a great meal! The food is consistently delicious, and the variety of options makes every visit exciting. I had the beef ramen, and the flavor profile was outstanding. The broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with tender beef and fresh toppings that made each bite enjoyable. It’s definitely one of the best ramen bowls I’ve had. I also tried the Malatang, which was a fantastic experience. Being able to choose my own ingredients made it feel personalized, and the soup itself was incredible, full of bold, aromatic spices. I loved that I could add extra seasonings to enhance the flavors even more. The portions were generous and well worth the price. To top it off, I had the fried chicken. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. While it wasn’t spicy, the texture and seasoning were spot on, making it a satisfying dish. The atmosphere is great, and the quality of the food keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing flavors and a solid menu, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Got a delicious and filling bowl for £8. Not many places in Liverpool offer such a good meal for so cheap.

Hidden in plain sight, this small business is worth a visit! The staff are kind and accommodating, excellent service. There was a wide selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, tofu and fish balls to try, priced per 100g. The Tom yum broth is rich and delicious, there is also a sauce station for you to customise and add more flavour. The chicken teriyaki rice noodles were very generous and fresh! The food came very quickly. 10/10 ⭐️✨🌟⭐️⭐️✨🌟✨

Amazing! We weren't sure what to do when we arrived but the lady was so helpful and talked us through all the different foods. We ordered the hot pot and were given a bowl each that you then fill with whatever you want. Be careful not to get too excited as the cost is calculated by the weight and you might end up with a giant bowl of soup like myself. Really good selection of interesting foods such as black fungus, enoki mushrooms, kelp and lotus root. The soup was creamy and had a nice kick to it. Delicious and just what I was hoping for.

awesome food and definitely tasty too! a lot of selection of meat, vegetables and noodles to create your own noodles (price is counted per 100g). various condiments are also available ✌🏻there are a menu for other noodles and rice too (braised beef noodles is tasty, would defo eat it again!!) the sago, red bean & milk is soooo good. the red bean is so sweet but the milk balances out the sweetness, which makes it tasty! the service is incredibly friendly. the lady there explains to us when we're unsure about how the create your own noodles works. it's a tiny restaurant but it's cosy. would come back here again for a quick meal!

The malatang is truly a great taste. This is the first malatang in the UK and Europe that is more delicious than the Korean style malatang.

When I entered Hot Pot, I felt a bit lost, which the staff quickly noticed and approached me with a smile, explaining to me one by one how to put the toppings into the bowl and described them to me, asking about my preferences. I like quite spicy food and the lady recommended medium spicy nudle soup, saying that I could always add spices, which were available in containers next to the cutlery. Fresh vegetables and meat in a bowl, poured with extremely hot broth, seasoned with specially prepared oil and spices. I paid just over £11. I recommend! I will definitely come back here again in the future. Thank you

To be fair I have no idea how this place is not more visible on the Maps given how many people come there. Everything is great, I've been there multiple times and every time I loved the whole experience.

Everything is impeccable, I love this place. The broth has different options and tastes amazing compared to other places I've tried.
