Hornseys bar and grill in Hartlepool

Discovered this place on a bike ride with my son during COVID-19 lockdown easing and we've been back almost every weekend. Can't beat sitting in the beer garden looking out over the sea and the two barmaids are really friendly (and cute!!). If you go then try the nacho's with a pint whilst sitting in the sun.

Great location. Visited a few times in our daily walk during the Covid-19 pandemic. Takeaway pints/wine limited but reasonably priced. Bouncers present. Friendly staff. Adherence to Covid-19 safety measures in place. Great atmosphere outside their beer garden.

Had to take food back for refund as it was under cooked We will not be returning as there are many more better facilities in the close vicinity Prices not the cheapest either

I called in for a pint while my grandson was playing on the bouncy castle in the beer garden and although the bar was lovely and clean with well mannered staff, the beer garden was a real mess. Chip wrappers, beer cans, pop cans, bottles etc, fag ends and in general it's not very hygienic. I know from experience that this mess isn't the fault of the businesses at the site but there was no sign of anyone cleaning up. In Hornseys defence, it wasn't them who made the mess, it was the punters and those punters ought to be ashamed of themselves. I can't see me using this place again until something is done to tidy the area up.

great place to go after footy. ALWAYS IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Pool table and live sports on their multiple screens. Dont be put off by the title "Sports Bar" or the young but, very experienced bar staff

I called in for a coffee whilst searching for a great B&B for a friend's visit. I ended up staying for Sunday lunch. The food was brilliant, and the service was just as good. I would definitely go again.

Excellent,5 adults 2 children,i can eat but to much.5 veg,mash and roast yorkshire the lot.I had all three meats and plenty. Best in town🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Was meant to take grandkids next door to Indians but it wasnt open. Went in and found a seat. Crystal took our orders and was exceedingly helpful and we were all dealt with. I must also complient the Kronenbutg as it was a excellent pint. Compliments again to Crystal as she was a one person show. Started with sharing nacho's which were very tasty. The mains did not dissapoint either. Kids portions were very large. My burger was very tasty. The vast array of sauces is also very welcome the hot jalapeno sauce was delicious. Overall a very enjoyable experience and only £80 for the 7 of us(3 kids) and yes I had a few lagers. Again thanks must go to Crystal who was wonderful throughout and was exceedingly patient with all children who were in the bar, which is a refreshing change. I will call back when the weather gets nicer as the grandkids will love out the front.

Great food as always and reasonably priced. Good sized portions, including kids meals. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere

Called in after having a meal in the Indian next door...the exterior of this place doesn't do it justice. It is immaculate and the place is very comfy, really nice inside and the staff are really friendly. Will definitely come back here.

Great place trying very hard but hardly any one in when we went no atmosphere staff were brill food was ...ahem average but still nice not a bad place to eat but would have to be taken their i wouldnt choose again myself ...sorry but thats what this is for

This is a wonderful outside location on a fine day. It is quiet and has a great uninterrupted view out to sea. The service is friendly and efficient, and everything is great value. Well worth a visit.

ive been to this bar many times now and it never fails to impress, with a friendly down to earth service,great customer service, being in the industry myself I know when people put the work in and these guys do, the decor and theme of the bar is like no other in the area and the quality of what's on offer is top notch. Brilliant in the summer with its great outside space and views over the sea and cosy and relaxing to hang out in the winter.
