Holiday Inn Manchester - City Centre, an IHG Hotel in Manchester

Very good location (next to Piccadilly train station), nice rooms and good service. Not so many choices for breakfast, mainly English breakfast.

This was the venue for a business meeting for around 50 people and we're singing it's praises. Clean, spacious, pleasant, food spot on, staff helpful and smiling, and they offered a special surprise of fizz, cakes, savoury dips and bags of sweeties..extra! Location perfect for railways and other transport. No overnight stay so no comment.

Hello, despite not having checked out of the hotel, all my belongings were packed up and placed at the reception. The hotel staff had emptied my entire room and moved my belongings elsewhere without contacting me. There was no explanation for their actions. This behavior was highly unprofessional and indicated a complete lack of communication. They did not choose to call me to clarify the situation. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Was at an event and was immaculate

A beautiful hotel, in addition to the location of the buffet for breakfast. It is located on the ground floor. It has an area and a beautiful view of the street. The service is wonderful from the restaurant staff, as well as its proximity to the train station and the shopping center.

The location of the hotel is perfect, close by to everything and most of the staff weren’t so bad but the reception never attends to any calls - I’ve dialed over 10 times, so that was disappointing. Would not recommend unless you’re staying just for the purpose of being close by to everything downtown.

Very nice HI by American standards. Clean and comfortable room, nice bathroom. Exceptional breakfast buffet and lobby bar. Convenient location... lots within walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff that have a commitment to customer service. It was pretty quiet for being right in the city, but request a room on a higher floor if possible.

Although i never stayed in the rooms ive decided to leave a review based on my experience with the 2 men on reception the early hours of Sunday morning. I went to a concert and ended up being stranded in manchester when i live over an hour away after asking multiple hotels if i could charge my phone for 5 minutes to book an uber home and being turned away this hotel let me come in out of the pouring down rain. I will forever be thankful for the staff that night and will book this hotel if i’m in Manchester again!!

Open air disco on the terrace all day long. If you are not happy with permanent insoniation with music you do not like, you better chose a hotel somewhere else.

Location is very good . The service is very very bad. There was one guy there who asked us to wait for another staff to check us in cuz he didn’t know how to do it . Over all more than 10 persons waited for her at the lobby like 20-30 mins before she came back with smiling face. Room is dirty I found long hair on the table.. bad experience. Room smell nasty

The location is convenient, close to the train station, about 5 to 10 minutes' walk, and clean. The room is small and lacks space. After opening, activities are severely hindered. However, the toilet is spacious. Although there are roads and railways outside the window, there is no noise in the room. On the contrary, the corridors and upstairs are more noisy.

Visited for a conference- excellent venue. Good presentation suite and spacious lounge with balcony, good range of vegetarian foods as well as meat and fish at the conference lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. Accessibility notes: Good accessibility. Lifts all in working order, enough space to move around. Staff available and happy to help.

We tried this hotel for the first time on Saturday and it was a great experience from check in through to check out. Jose on reception was amazing; genuinely friendly, warm and helpful. Greeted us like old friends. Sat in reception waiting for the family I saw him working so hard in the same friendly way, with one client after another. We will certainly be back and will recommend this hotel to our business clients.

Great hotel to stay here. Front staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in. The hotel itself is very clean when we walked in. Clean spacious room and Bathroom is spacious too. Had stayed many other holidays Inn. This is the only holiday Inn has hair conditioner. Thank you. Great locations a few minutes walk to the grand central station, plenty of shops inside the station. Plenty of Chinese restaurants to choose from. Bus and train stations are close by. By the way the security guard she is such a friendly guard can't remember her name. Would definitely come back to stay in this hotel again.

Me and my friend were here yesterday for afternoon tea which was a gift. The service was was excellent, nd the food was absolutely delicious, 2 courses, we left nothing, we would definitely go again and cannot recommend highly enough, Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us, 5 ***** thank you.

This is a lovely central hotel we really like having stayed here many times before. Service and rooms and location all 5 stars. However food not always great ( my burger quite dry, breakfast pancakes hard) and WiFi drops out regularly so you end up logging in 5, 6 times a day. Log in, go to breakfast, come back to room and you'll have to log in again. Finally whoever is in charge of bathroom cosmetic procurement at IHG: products need to smell nice! The body wash made from parsley stalks and kale shampoo do NOT! They're unpleasant. Sort those issues and you get 5 stars!

All good in the room and service but the WiFi keeps showing connected with no internet. Please switch a WiFi supplier!

Our daughter was getting married in Manchester and the family booked this hotel for 2 nights. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing, bar staff were excellent. Accommodation was very clean. Highly recommend this hotel

The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, and just a short walk from Piccadilly station and to Piccadilly gardens, excellent tram service. Manchester is a great place to visit for shopping and places to eat and drink.

The location is great. Walking distance to all the fun stuff in Manchester's city centre. The room was a typical Holiday Inn. And I mean it in a positive way: comfortable bed, great shower. Nice pillows. The staff at the bar and reception desk were great. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Good experience all around. Definitely will book this place again

Slight edit, couple of things were a bit disappointing. HDMI devices can no longer be connected to the TVs and the "Cast to device" option didn't seem to work which is a shame. And a few machines in the gym were unavailable due to missing plugs. But the hotel is still 5* as these issues are easily overlooked and everything else including the staff are super attentive/friendly.

Good hotel and close to everything

The hotel is nice enough, but the service at the hotel restaurant is terrible. I was there for three days, and every time I waited for over 45 minutes for my order to be taken. This after making initial contact with the staff for various reasons, and the restaurant was not crowded at all. As I’m writing this one of the staff has been to prepare the table next to mine two times, but it did not seem to occur to this person to see if I needed anything. And yes, I could have said something, but the days before the staff was dismissive when I approached the bar to ask for something to eat, claiming they waited at the tables.

Nice hotel, good location.Not good if you are driving. Car park arrangements with NCP and nightmare getting to and from hotel.

We arrived in extreme traffic. The car park was a five minute walk away. It took us an hour and 15mins to park the car. An extremely busy hotel. Lots of groups of young people and children. Corporate events and mainly foreigners from all over the world. Convenient for shops and restaurants.

IHG properties tend to be my go-to for stays in the UK. This is a modern Holiday Inn convenient for both the city centre and Piccadilly for onwards travel. The reception staff were excellent, and status was recognised. The room was very good and, very importantly, the shower was great (increasingly hotels have moved from bath to showers and decided that the shower should dribble water as a cost saving measure, however in this case the shower was very good). Would recommend.

I would like to put ZERO but it is not possible. Room was dirty (hair in the sink and on the toilet bowl)...And above all it was cold. There was no heating. Reception won't pick up the phone so I went downstairs and the receptionist was unpleasant and snobbish. Problem not solved. And then the bar of the hotel ! 4 people .... but too busy chatting instead of serving! And the tables were disgusting... and Doors opened whereas we are 3rd february... I will never recommande this place and never come back. Take Airbnb, it is less expensive, you have Netflix and heating in february.

Great location within 5 minutes walk of the train station and walkable to most other places in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, plenty on hand all the time. Event space was big and staff on hand to help with whatever was needed. Food at the restaurant was alright on par with standard pub food, a little pricey for what you got. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection although the coffee wasn't great. At the event I was attending the three course meal was presented well but not great, two bland courses and a very good brownie. The room was a good size with everything you'd expect yet I'll never understand why all hotels don't all have smart TVs yet with streaming capabilities. There were a few hairs I had to brush off the bed so not sure about cleanliness 😬.

Hi, Everyone m staying in the Holiday Inn Manchester Central Park 888 Oldham Road, Manchester, M40 2BS Room 104 ,my personal experience is totally disappointed because of the security guard, he has no manner to talk with other , bad uneducated behaviour with me also others, he was making trouble for kettle and microwave use, and abusing me ,also today he was shouting at me ,he was stopping me for my own food that i can't eat, i raised this issue with hotel management team too but they are all failed to resolve it, It's my personal advice for everyone who thinks about booking with holiday inn, please don't ,because you'll face worse security issues, waste money,time.so stay away holiday inn MALLICK
