Henrys Newry in Newry and Mourne

First time trying so went for Had the chicken curry rice and chips was delicious with big chunky chips very filling definitely will be back 😋

If you are looking normal customer service then you will be severely let down. We tried ordering our food, but before we were even given the chance to give our full order, Henry himself started shouting at us because we asked him what type of curry they had. After asking him to settle down and stop shouting, he continued with his rude and ignorant exterior to which we had no other option but to leave. Would highly recommended anyone to give this place a miss.

The food was delicious and made superbly. Would visit again. I waited 15 minutes for my food but it was worth the wait.

Go where you will, you'll not get better than Henry's. Stellar portions, best prawn crackers, delicious rice and gravy chips the old way...

Absolutely love this Chinese, we eat from it all the time and the curry sauce is unreal. Henry (the owner) is a very polite friendly man, no Chinese in the town comes close to this one..

I still hit this place every week. Best Chinese in Newry. Very busy at weekends.. Which is a good sign. Curry is great and so are the chips. Run by a nice family.

The server/cook (I think it was the owner) seemed pleasant enough. The food was ok. I wouldn't say it was fantastic but it wasn't terrible either. I have to agree with previous reviews that my orders - Gravy chips and a chicken chow mein- were both a bit too greasy for my taste.

Man Athens the counter extremely rude... nearly stuck to the floor while waiting for the food... food was disgusting oily mess and curry so hot it was not edible. Surprised they are allowed to stay open

This is probably one of the grimmest places to eat from. A first and last for me but when I was there the orders were coming in thick and fast. This place is proof positive that cheap cooking oil, really heavily battered and over salted, over priced muck is really popular. The food is fat laden and oily. In fact you can smell the cooking oil hanging in the air and I guess the tacky net curtains at the window are coated in a fine film of grease. There's no finesse in the sauces with the sweet and sour sauce presenting as an acrid awful gel. Marks and Spencer sweet and sour sauce is fabulous in comparison. The curry sauce too is just a well spiced flour and oil based stodgy mass. The deep brown fried rice is generously overdosed in and smells of a chemical based and highly salty, dark soy sauce. This is cheap food at its most unhealthy and it's way over priced for what it is. I've no doubt this place will go from strength to strength - good luck to them as they meet the needs of the less discerning. With their prices and the demand I saw the owners will be able to retire young.

Best Chinese in the town. Decent prices and looks after loyal customers. Great when hungover lol the curry is spicy and the chips are decent too

love the spicy curry served with my chicken balls. great specials on and he even throws in a selection box to customers at christmas. thanks henry ur the best.
