Hot Wok in Newry and Mourne

The food here is delicious!!! The service on the other hand is not so good. I literally order the same order every Saturday night £59.59 for delivery. From last 4 orders we’ve had an item missing from 3 orders(like noodles, main dish, large sauce £2.60 or higher) we’ve had to go back down even if collected or if delivered. No offer of delivery refund or even a small commentary item for the inconvenience due having keep the food warm at home ( for like 30mins by time you unpack order, realise item missing, ring them(5min phone call) & drive down and wait on ur missing item) while driving to get our missing item which has been paid for through Just Eat. First time we passed no remarks but getting a bit sick of it now and when you phone you’ve to wait like 5 mins while they talk to chefs about who made what. And then there’s no offer to deliver it after paying the £4 delivery charge. Guys we love your food but really getting fed up of this now. There’s never a mistake of an extra item in the order always something missing. We love your food but every Saturday now is will they get our order right or not!!! Please do better we love your food x

Listen guys we absolutely love your food it is delicious and that’s why we keep coming back. BUT items missing from orders is beyond a joke now. Out of our last 4 orders we’ve had an item missing from 3 of the orders. No delivery charge refund.

Extremely poor service, nearly 2 hours to deliver a simple order which was not to an acceptable standard. When attempting to cancel the order they refused to give a refund blaming bad weather.

Really disappointed that I had to ask for updates on my order and it took almost 2 hours from placement of order. Food was okay but not hot so won’t order again

Food gorgeous as always. But second week in a row item (noodles this time) missing from the order. Had to go back to the shop to ge them after collecting order.

2 hours later and the food never came and Just Eat says it was delivered. Rang them, no answer. Complaint filed, don't go near this hole when Lee Garden is round the corner.

terrible. ordered through just-eat. order accepted and delivery time given. after the delivery time had elapsed I called the resturaunt to be told the order was cancelled over an hour earlier. It was till showing on the app and I received no communication at all.

First time trying but don't think we would go back - food was just okay. Had to repeat myself a few times on the phone and they still forgot our portion of fried rice, which we paid for.

Food was cold, chicken was hard, ordered the snack box and paid £11 for what came as a box of rice so disappointed feel unwell after that.

this is now the 2nd time that the noodles were so salty they were inedible. Last time I thought like mistakes happen. But again we had to throw them away. The chicken in black bean sauce was nice though.

ordered mixed veg satay to find it came filled with pineapple which is a fruit not veg hardly any veg in it except pineapple and mushrooms and some carrot and one bit of broccoli. called and spoke to the lady who said they would send another without pineapple as I couldnt eat the other one and never recieved . very disappointing considering we get from hot wok twice a week

ordered at 7:20pm, food didn't arrive until 2 hours later. I ordered the 9 inch box which was half full and barely lukewarm. sauce was also spilled out and full of oil, wouldn't coat chips or anything. was also promised a replacement for pineapple found in satay which never came. ridiculous.

Disappointed! Was using then for a while and all was good. This time after repeating 3 times still managed to mess up with order. There big diference between chicken and prawn. Repeated 3 time chicken and what I found when back home? Prawns! And what I should do with it? Other food also not that great as always. Egg fried rice nearly can find rice duck way over salted and i do like salty food but this was too much. Only good thing was noodles.

Ordered at half 5:32 didn’t come till 7:40 curry was freezing

Delivery was a bit longer than I thought it would be. But the grub was delicious 😋 so can't complain. Excellent service.

ordered food approx 7.45 definitely before 8pm and received food at 9.50 and it was all cold. £36.40 paid for an order of cold food, disgraceful!

Not only was the food 40 mins late on top of the already long wait but we paid 4 pound for delivery but the delivery driver demanded further delivery fee when he got here.

We are still waiting on our curry sauce an hour later. I checked my email and it definitely said curry sauce was ordered. Our chinese is now cold and havent been able to eat wirhout any sauce. Food Was ordered 2 hours ago.

Driver arrived well ahead of estimated arrival time, I was in the shower expecting my food to arrive in 10 mins the time it was estimated was 19:50-20:50 , at 19:25 I thought I’d have time to jump in the shower quickly, in the five minutes I was in the shower my delivery driver called to the house at 19:30 as I didn’t make it to the door fast enough the driver took the food back to the shop, they have refused to redeliver my food and have still taken the full price for order off of me, rude service

Gave my correct address, they rang me saying they were at my door when i was sitting right next to my door. came about 2 hours after. such a disgrace but food was good. will never be ordering from there again.

Absolutely tasteless. Asked for extra chilli & garlic, no taste or flavour to that dish I ordered. Probably be the first & last time ordering here

Food ordered at a cost of £42.20 at 19.21, arrival time was due to be 20.40, rang the store at 21.30 to be told the driver had an accident and they had to get a new driver and the food was on the way!The app is showing our food delivered at 21.30 which it is NOT🤬 We are now at 22.02 and still NO FOOD 22.24 and food has just arrived 3HOURS from ordering I will definitely Not be ordering again

Will not be ordering again from this establishment! Put my order in through just eat £4 delivery (ok) but then to receive a phone call from them to say I had to pay an extra £2 on top of delivery charge as they said my address was to far out

Best service. Quick delivery and AMAZING FOOD!

So we had an ordeal that a neighbour took our food. But the next day they remade the order understandimg the situation. great all round highly recommended.

Ordered prawn curry which was way too salty and so was the fried rice. Have ordered afew times before and has been lovely but alittle disappointed this time.

Appalling long wait for food. Need to stop taking orders if you can't handle the volume instead of providing an extremely poor service.

Food is consistently good, good chips, lovely curry and the best Singapore fried rice in the town

Time advised delivery of 7.20, arrived at 8.30. food was hot but wasn't what I had ordered..instead of chicken cheese rolls I was given vegetable rolls which I don't eat. Usually have a really good experience from Hot Wok but this has really put me off it now

Whole bag of food was swimming in soup, ribs are dry as sand and fried rice is half mixed. Worst I ever had in Newry.

Was told it had left. Waited a further 50 mins. Then delivery driver arrives at the door and asks for more money. Wouldn’t go back

Wrong order no curry handicaps

Ordered food at 5.20pm - delivered at 7.20 - 30mins late. When my husband called to ask where the delivery was the woman was exceptionally rude. Would never order again. Customer service awful.

The pizza box items was all deep fried and looked well done. Did not enjoy.

On the app it said 25-40 minutes and when I paid for my ordered it changed to 1 hour. My order took 1 hour 30 minutes. Very deceiving.

I ordered my food at 17.45 to be delivered at 19.45, it came at 20. 40, almost a hour late, when I asked the delivery driver why so late, he said you were busy!

Not had a bad dish yet and the staff are friendly which makes a pleasant change. Good prices and would recommend highly

An excellent Chinese! Always very very tasty. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, but I take that as a good sign being so busy, because it’s always 1st class on the taste levels!

Hot Wok always does great food, only downfall tonight was, I ordered Beef curry and boiled rice only to receive chicken curry and boiled rice, chicken was tasty, but was looking forward to my beef curry.

The delivery has still not arrived

Diabolical. Initially had a delivery time of 6.45 (was ordered at 6). This then changed to 7.10 and 7.30. It still had not been delivered at 7.45. Why do we pay for delivery which take over 1hr 45mins. Its a pity, because the food is normally decent!

the delivery driver was absolutely lovely, he apologised at the door because he heard the way the woman in hot wok was speaking to me on the phone and she had said she couldn’t change my order(i rang to ask if there was any way she could change my noodles to plain and i physically cannot eat them with vegetables in them and she was rude) because the food was out the establishment and 5 minutes away from me, it was not. the driver was still in the shop.

The food’s gorgeous and very good service. I recommend chips, fried rice, curry sauce, salted chilli chicken and salted chilli chicken balls.
