Henry's Cafe Bar - The City in City of London, Westminster

Traté de almorzar aquí con un amigo. Me dijeron a la 1: 30 pm que la cocina estaba cerrada a órdenes por el momento debido a la alta demanda (era el día de la media maratón de Royal Parks) pero que volvería a abrir a las 2 pm. Cuando regresé en ese momento, el gerente fue increíblemente grosero y me dijo que aún no estaban aceptando órdenes. Entiendo que estaban ocupados, pero yo estaba muy descontento con la actitud. Me hicieron sentir que no era razonable pedir pedir comida. En un pub. A la hora del almuerzo. El resto del personal estaba bien, pero la gerente realmente estaba decepcionando con sus habilidades de servicio al cliente

No happy - afortunadamente tomaron dos comidas al lado de la factura sin embargo comida no era satisfactorio. Huele mal y el servicio no estaba a punto

A diferencia de otros que nos dieron una buena comida y un servicio reunidos con nuestro sobrino y la familia del Reino Unido después de llegar de Estados Unidos fue una tarde agradable

Fuimos allí para bebidas después de un día de trabajo con un grupo de personas, uno del grupo había reservado una zona y pedidos bebidas y bandejas de comida. A la llegada nos hablaba con una camarera que nos enseñó la zona y luego nos dirigimos a la comida, y luego volver para las bebidas. Veinte minutos después de la llegada, aún así quedó allí sin bebidas y no hay comida. Después pedimos la camarera si era posible cambiar el vino que habíamos pedido (plástico termoencogible y todavía no tenían ninguna bebidas en este punto) o algunos más cerveza, dijo no pero luego 5 minutos más tarde otra camarera llegó y nos dijo que podíamos cambiarnos pero que tenían un gran cantar y bailar, un simple sí o no hubiera sido bien. Cuando las bebidas eventualmente salir, las cervezas estaban en cubos de hielo con hielo alrededor pero no fueron cálido, y estaba claro que vienen directamente del armario/ fuerte en vez de una nevera. Luego tuvimos que esperar las cervezas para refrescarse en el cubo de hielo, era casi una hora después de estar allí antes de que tenía "bebidas coolish - terrible. Todo el servicio fue grosero y simplemente terrible. Cuando las bandejas de comida presentamos eran muy agradables, muy bien presentada y sabía muy bien, es una pena que la visita se arruinó por lo anterior. No volveremos aquí de prisa.

Comimos bastante bien: Heineken 4.95 libras, Chicken Club SW w Fries 9.45 libras, Fish&Chips 11.95 libras

We ordered fish mezze, meat mezze, pork belly & prawn pasta. The meals were generous enough but the prawns were overly hot with an excess of chilli flakes. We mentioned this to the waiting on staff as it was too hot for my palate, expecting comments just to be passed to the chef, however the waitress & the manager both came to enquire what meal I would like in its place at no additional charge and also, they would knock the prawn dish off the bill! This service was over & above what we expected and the staff were most concerned they rectify it so I didn't leave hungry. Excellent service and not necessary - we were just passing on comments! We also used a taste card so the bill was very reasonable. We would not hesitate to return or recommend Henry's.

looked nice from the outside, lacked atmosphere inside. Drinks a bit pricey, food was the real let down though, had nachos to share to start, nothing wrong with those but the fishcake salad I had for my main was sample - well the fishcakes were, enough leaves for 2! My husband had a burger, the bun it was in tasted cheap as did the burger itself. Luckily I had printed a voucher to get 20% off food which bought the bill down a bit but we'd of been better of in somewhere like slug and lettuce

I've been to other Henry's in Central London and I've always left positively. They are usually a decent looking and comfortable bar / restaurant serving good food. This one wasn't quite the same. It wasn't as comfortable but it wasn't off-putting at the same time. The service was quite interesting. We had about 3 different waitresses throughout the duration of our lunch. The first took our drinks order which took a while to come back to us. Another waitress took our food order and as they didn't have any flatbreads, I asked for a few mins to decide on something else, but also to stop her from coughing all over me. The another waitress came to take the order - my friends ordered a burger and I ordered a steak club sandwich. The food took a while to come, like the drinks. I wouldn't mind too much if it was just simply that the food took a while to come, but what happened was that it took a while for half of the food to come. The burger turned up but the steak club sandwich didn't. The waitress asked if I'd like it to be quickly made up and brought over. Er... yes please, a hungry person here? The food was really nice once it had arrived. I was happy with my choice. The meat was really tender and the flavours were great. The portion was also great! All in all, good location, ok atmosphere, bad service, good food.

Google’d ‘cool bar in city of London’, this was the top result. Not cool, grubby with uninterested staff. Won’t be going back
