We had a great time and the food was generous in portion size and very tasty. The staff were attentive and we didn’t have to wait long to be served.

Took my granddaughter for lunch. Their milkshake machine was broken so that was a huge disappointment. We ordered hot dogs. Rolls were stale and very dry. A very sub standard meal. A hot dog, a kiddies meal, a cool drink and a water cost just under £30. Staff were pleasant but overall a very underwhelming meal.

Called in on the spur of the moment on Sat night. We had a lovely big table and it was very clean. The food was outstanding and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Cannot fault it all.

Great drive throughout cooked to order food. Delicious and great value for money. Puts macdonalds and the Mauritanian like to shame. Well worth a try.

Been to this place twice. Service was brilliant for both occasions despite being understaffed. The first time we were here we had chicken wings, mozzarella sticks and prawns for starters and burger, pulled pork with ribs for main courses we enjoyed all of them. Second time, we had 3 orders of chicken wings and mozzarella sticks all were good, but we were let down by our main courses. Both burgers that we ordered were bitter because it was overcooked. Will maybe try again this place next time if we have no other choice but will not hurry back.

Quick stop off for what we thought would be nice food, we were shocked at the food we were served, We ordered a salad and burger, the salmon was burnt on a salad and burger wasn't nice, both meals left. Had to get attention of staff just to get a drink and order food as they were too busy chatting. Staff didn't even ask if there was anything wrong with the food.

Had such a lovely meal here, the service was brilliant and despite being understaffed (and apologising for that) they were all attentive and so friendly, and food really didn’t take that long. We all really enjoyed our meals too.

Enjoyed a great early evening meal here, with a burger, tacos, burritos and shrimps. The service, provided by H, was friendly, cheerful and efficient. The portions were large and it was good value. We were too full for any dessert, sadly.

The food was okay, but nothing amazing. The price is completely extortionate for what you get and can easily spend much less on nicer food. Would not recommend you go out of your way eating here.

We visited on an eat out to help out day. I didn't make a reservation and arrived at 7pm, we were told there are no tables available until 8pm but somebody hadn't turned up so we could have their table. Our drinks order was taken immediately, followed by our food order a few minutes later as we weren't ready. The starters arrived quickly but we had finished our starters and drinks and we're still waiting for our mains. The waitress came over and offered to get us more drinks and apologised for the wait for food. The food arrived and was very good. We had a great evening but the service was very slow and had to wait a long time to ask for the bill. It was very busy in there and in my opinion not enough staff to cover the areas. Not the fault of the waitresses in any way, we didn't complain about the wait at all but on receipt of the bill I found that the extra drinks were complimentary which we hadn't experienced anywhere before. We would go back there again if visiting the area.

I have to say I’ve never been to the drive through at Bangor before and I was skeptical. There were 2 or 3 cars in front of us and we expected to have to wait a long time compared to somewhere like McDonalds. However to our surprise the service was really fast. There only seemed to be one girl taking orders and passing the food on and she was understanding (im fussy and dont like salad etc) and polite. Finally we ordered 3 x bbq chicken wraps with chips and all 3 of us said it was delicious and had lots of flavour. The meal was also really filling and charged at a very reasonable price. The chips were also really well made. Will certainly be popping by again.

Came here tonight for my best friends 21st birthday, never have I witnessed such terrible service before. We got there at 7:30 (booked a table) and was waiting until gone 8 to even be acknowledged for drinks let alone food. The 3 floor staff that were on shift were more interested in cleaning and gossiping amongst themselves than to come over to us when we had empty plates. By the time we'd had our mains and desserts and was waiting for the bill it was 9:30, we didnt leave the place until it was closing, and none of the staff came over to see if we wanted to pay or even wanted our bill we ended up going to the till because we were fed up of waiting. Couldn't fault the food it was lovely, but the service ruined our night.

Great value at this atmospheric American type diner. They have a set menu at lunchtime which is good value and the service is good too.

We come every every week through the drive through, and always enjoy our meal. but today everything seemed rushed and all the food expect for the chips were inedibly cold. Not impressed at all.

ordered a porterhouse steak which was about £24, whilst I was eating it I noticed a brass screw amongst my chips, I complained, they brought me an ordinary steak, as they had no more porterhouse steaks left. when I had finished they gave me the bill for the porterhouse steak, no compensation at all, I will never eat in there again, I wish I had taken pictures, I had taken my wife there for her birthday, spoilt the night for her.

We came out for my little brothers birthday hoping to have a nice evening. First of all the they brought out all of the food apart from 1 plate. They said it would be a few minutes because they forgot it and by the time it came everyone is else was finished. This wasn’t that much of a problem but when my dad tried to have a joke about it saying ‘will you actually remember the drink this time’ and laughing we get a bitchy look and she walks away. She then walk away shaking her head where we can see and then walked over to the other staff members and starts to talk about us right in front of us where we can see. Then every time she came to our table since she had no manners and was very rude and blunt... Also after she slagged us off to the other staff she went around every table and asked them if everything was okay and we were not asked once if everything was okay with any of our food! We then asked if she would sing happy birthday to my little brother she pulled a weird face and said ‘if you want’ and stormed away. I think this is quiet rude of her tbh because I have been here before and they happily sang happy birthday in the past... 3 different occasions I have seen her come from my table and talk about us and she was not being very discrete about it at all!! This is unprofessional and very rude and quiet frankly has ruined my little brothers birthday a little bit. My dad is like this all the time, he makes jokes. He was even laughing when he said what he said. That gives them NO reason at all to go and talk about us. They could have at least waited until we left. I think this is just rude and I will be telling my family and friends not to visit with the amount of disrespect we were given tonight. Staff need to learn to take a joke and learn to not talk about customers right in front of their faces!!! And finally they did not sing happy birthday to my little brother! We asked them before they brought the deserts out to sing happy birthday and she said ‘if you want’ first was rude about it and now she brings the deserts and doesn’t even bother to sing!! What a way to ruin a 15 year old boys birthday!!! No respect at all!! Fair play to the supervisor she did apologise to us! But the utter disrespect from the other member of staff was appalling!

Came for lunch today and ordered philly cheese steak. At 14.99 I expected a good sized baguette layered with chunks of beef. What came out was a tiny ciabatta with about 4 cubes of beef. I immediately told my server, who was very nice that this was unsatisfactory. She apologised and went to the kitchen to replace. By the time my slightly improved meal arrived, the rest of my family had eaten. Such a shame as I was looking forward to trying this place for so long. The chef that prepared this meal seriously needs to address their quality of service and give their head a wobble. Not good enough.

Went for date night with girl, thought we would try Harveys. So glad we did. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was brilliant. The head chef clearly had the respect of the team and was in full control. He was even singing which was great. There was a relaxed feel to the place and it was cleaned. If there were issues with people's orders it was disscussed out of ear shot of the customer. The only issue was that the waiting on staff were wearing jewellery and nail varnish or some sort of nail extensions. But i know some brands and companies aren't as strict on this as others.

Having never been to Harvey’s before was excited to taste the American style food they have to offer. We went as a family of four on a late Sunday afternoon. The diner is spotlessly clean and is very modern in is decor of American pop culture that is everywhere in the diner. The very young waitresses are very polite, attentive and very good at their jobs. It wasn’t particularly busy when we went only a party of 10 young girls and little else. The menu has something for everyone, selection of American style food. I ordered the full rack of ribs, my partner had the ribeye steak and our kids had a pizza and a bacon cheese burger. Food wait was about 35 mins which isn’t too bad. When our food arrived it all looked amazing, presentation is 10/10. Both kids absolutely loves their meals, I felt the pizza wasn’t the best looking a bit cheap imo. My ribs were tasteless, tough and not worth £16.99, sad to say I’ve had better tastier microwave ribs. I was so disappointed. My partners rib eye was good, no complaints he had it well done so can’t really go wrong there.

A typical American diner. Music makes you feel as if you are a part of "American graffiti". Service is more than perfect. The menu card offers something for everyone. American, Mexican... Tastes great. A bit expensive but worth each penny. Try the hanging skewers. Never seen this before but really great. Parking spaces at the front of the diner.

Went there a couple of days ago for lunch as the lunch menu is pretty good value. We were handed some menus and seated at a table and then we realised that they hadn't given us the lunch menu. I walked up to the girl that seated us and asked for the lunch menus only to be told they weren't doing them. This was at lunchtime on a Friday and not in school holidays. When I asked her why they weren't doing it she shrugged her shoulders and said "we're just not". Sorry but I don't fancy paying over a tenner for a hotdog. Won't be back.

I do enjoy Harvey's as it reminds me of junior's in New York. Not all my family are convinced as although it is nice it can be expensive. Today we found ourselves in Bangor and at a Harvey's I have not been to before but wanted to try out. Disappointed that the lunch menu wasn't on because of school holidays (even though other reviewers seem to have had it and the other restaurant we have visited had it on too) the lunch menu is a good value. The service was really slow although our waitress was nice. The food was good but slow coming considering that it wasn't busy or a complex order. We enjoyed what we had

Visited here 22/8/19, ordered 3 mains and couple of desserts. Food was great, really tasty, fresh and plentiful. Good wide menu choice of American dishes. Atmosphere excellent too! 4/5 stars due to service times- seating, ordering and paying, but they do try their best! 👍🏻🍽

We have just visited this restaurant on our way to Holyhead after travelling for hours we were pretty hungry so would have been happy with almost anything but unfortunately as hungry as we were this restaurant was awful, the starters was Tater skins all three of skins on each plate was burnt. Our mains were unfortunately worse there was one ribs and chicken and shrimp which was just terrible the chicken was plain then char Cole burnt so all you could taste was the burnt chicken, the ribs you couldn’t even cut off the bone and that was with a steak knife. The only edible dish was the steak which was well cooked but like the other dishes there was salad thrown on the plate. The only good thing about this restaurant was it was spotless and the toilets were also very clean shame about the chef. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

Good restaurant with parking close to the Bangor city. If you like american food it's your place . When you wait you'll be offered by popcorn. A place to enjoy with friends or to celebrate your child's birthday. Friendly staff. Nice food. Normal prices .

Called in with my son after a day in the mountains. The service was okay from one girl who took our order but distinctly cold and dismissive from the girl who bought it to our table I got the impression she didn't want to be there. The food was decent if unimpressive my Philly steak sandwich had a generous portion of tasty well cooked Fillet and great fries and sides but was on a poor quality Ciabatta probably from frozen Ciabatta done right is superb for a steakwich but this was dry and without a hint of crispiness Bella Italia doe it superb and a National chain too.

We should have trusted our instincts. A Frankie & Bennys style restaurant with a drive thru isn't a good indicator.

Title says it all; we were on holiday in North Wales and spotted this place next to Tescos. I'd say menu choice and quality food were better than those on any recent visit to either F&B; or TGIF. Staff were great too.

Similar American diner concept to Frankie & Benny's, but with much worse food. I can't fault the waitress, who was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was very poor.

Visited Friday 17th.May,about 6.30. with three friends.American burgers consisted of a burger and a slice of cheese on a stale bap and the salad stack was a few iceberg lettuce leaves with a slice of tomatoe. The only good thing about it was the lager and the 1960's music.Next time I fancy a burger, I will be going to Burger King or the Four Crosses pub in Menai Bridge,thoroughly recommend their burgers.

Went here Today for lunch on bank holiday weekend, wasn’t busy at all though. Food was not good. I ordered the pulled pork taco, I thought there would be just one taco filled a good amount, instead 3 came out half filled with and overload of lettuce and tomatoes. Pork wasn’t flavoured at all, tacos were very bland and more like a wrap you would find prewrapped from a crap shop. It’s overpriced, and not worth the money. The waitress was ok, she was polite. The other girls working there, were unfriendly, didn’t smile and were more interested in each other than their actual jobs. Won’t be eating there again. Bad atmosphere.

We booked to go on a bank holiday Sunday myself partner and 4yr old son and we all had delicious meals! We had steaks which were cooked as requested which let’s face it is rare to get and our son had the kids hotdog and chips which was followed by an ice cream cup. All reasonably priced including 3 drinks plus wonderful atmosphere and service.

Lovely atmosphere, the staff all had smiles and gave us free popcorn while we waited for food. The food was gorgeous all hot and full of flavour. We had a seat near the kitchen and the chef really was passionate, he double checked plates and made sure they was perfect. Glad we came while in Wales.

Clearly this is the Bangor equivalent of a TGI Friday’s or Frankie and Bennys

We were a party of 16 and it was the easiest party ever! Food all came out the same time plenty of room for us and no deposit or pre-orders were needed. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I would recommend. Special mention to Lucy who was gave us excellent service and attention...thank you.

We have been coming to harveys now on a regular basis, twice a month for lunch, the food is excellent, the service from the waitresses and manager is professional and friendly, I usually have the burger with jalapeño, or Piri piri chicken as I like spicy food, and it is spicy , the way I like it, my husband usually goes for the pulled pork or half and half steak and chicken , again excellent. The atmosphere is lovely with music , just a little bit too loud for myself , but would definitely recommend this place .

American theme grill restaurant and the grandkids love it , and to be honest so do I and many others like me . The staff are warm and friendly and very efficient , the food is consistantly first class and the whole place is spotlessly clean. This place really is worth a visit , you will not be disapointed and may end up as I did becoming a regular customer .

Visited Harvey’s in Bangor for lunch with a friend last week reluctantly after having a poor experience in Llandudno the week before but was pleasantly surprised, the staff were really friendly and cheerful we could sit anywhere both myself and my friend ordered food from the lunch time special menu and both meals were very good we were given a complimentary mug of popcorn which I didn’t get in Llandudno. The food came quickly and the place wasn’t empty by any means overall a very nice lunch.

We have always loved going here, as we have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, however, when we went last week, the experience left us very unimpressed. The food was okay, apart from one order being wrong (there was only 3 of us!), service was slow, despite it not being busy and 2 out of the 3 ladies toilets were disgusting, according to their checklist they had not been checked for the last 4 hours! But the real shock was the bill, 2 hotdogs, 1 ribs and 3 soft drinks cost over £40!We have been several times in the past and never felt so disappointed and cheated.

Post Xmas family get together. Lively place with good service but the food was average at best. No long waits for anything and staff were friendly. Food however disappointing. I shared fajita plate. Tough steak and tasteless. Tortillas were cold. Had never seen any seasoning of any description. Burgers looked good and starters were adequate.

Needed a quick meal mid afternoon , a late lunch really, so I opted for the Drive Through window at the rear of the establishment, being school holidays the golden arches establishment nearby was packed as I drove past, the Harvey's car park was very busy but fortunately no queue for the window. Being in a hurry this seemed to be the best option, so I ordered a cheese burger and a coffee,. A very tasty cheese burger was presented in a bun with a freshly made salad, nice and crisp, with sweet red onions and relish. Even more surprising was the offer of the holy grail in a fast food restaurant, some Brown Sugar for the coffee. Very acceptable, the service was good,the young lady serving was polite and efficient and very busy. I have been here before and undoubtedly will call again.
