Had a nice Sunday brunch with the family. Food was very good and really attentive service added to the enjoyment. Has the real Didsbury vibe here.

Another of many visits to the Hare & Kin, the food was delicious and the portions were huge. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating. Inside it is lovely with a cozy interior and a large nice outdoor seating area, if you prefer to eat outside. It’s a great place for if you just want food or a few drinks. Definitely will be returning again, highly recommended for great food and a friendly atmosphere.

Brunch - fabulous. 3 x full English, all different eggs (thanks for the offer), and wild shrooms on toast...gorgeous. Great service; wonderfully pokey Bloody Mary; good location; nice menu....a tad pricey, but lovely...Will definitely return

The fish fillet was tiny, dry and the sides and one piece were so dry they were inedible. The pea puree was spread onto the bread and didn't realise what it was till I was looking for the pea puree! The waitress was unbothered by my comments and the fact that I'd hardly eaten anything. Basically, £15 for some bread, a few fries and a bit of dried fish. Don't recommend.

The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. A plus is that they had halal meat options. The staff were all really lovely and accommodating. The place itself is gorgeous, with a cozy interior and a nice outdoor seating area if you prefer to eat outside. It’s a great spot whether you’re just grabbing a bite or planning to hang out for a while. The only downside? It’s a bit pricey. But given it’s in one of the higher end parts of Manchester, that’s kind of expected. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for great food and a nice atmosphere!

Came with my family on sunday there was seven of us in total including three children, we were greeted and sat down quickly. Lydia was so attentive to us, the food was great. Overall we had a great family breakfast. Definitely will be coming again

Took my granddaughter for brunch as this is her favourite cafe bar. Didn’t realise it had changed hands! Staff were lovely, food was gorgeous, Manager rude! We won’t be going back

Nestled in the heart of Didsbury, Hare and Kin offers a delightful dining experience with its rustic decor and welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, making our visit all the more enjoyable. We opted for the chicken parmigiana on focaccia, and it did not disappoint. The focaccia bread was a highlight—amazingly fluffy and perfectly complementing the flavorful chicken parmigiana. It was a delicious and satisfying dish that we would highly recommend. The charcoal latte, while unique and intriguing, needed an extra shot of espresso to bring out the full coffee flavor. Once adjusted, it was a pleasant and iced drink. Overall, Hare and Kin is a charming spot with great service and delicious food. We look forward to returning and trying more of their menu.

Great food only thing I didn’t like was seeing how the staff were being spoken to by a woman who seemed like either the manager or owner, she was harsh and rude when speaking to the young waitresses and I didn’t appreciate seeing it otherwise food is gorgeous and consistently good

Omg this place was soo amazing. Can’t believe I didn’t try before. Halal and tasty food. The lady who served us was amazing from her customer service to serving her name was Francesca. I would recommend everyone to try this place.

Wow!!xx! gorgeous staff! lovely environment wonderful service, realistic prices. The staff hear understand and truly enjoy hospitality, with so many coffee/brunch places around this is still surprisingly hard to find in the UK. You see & feel their warmth and passion for their jobs and compassion for their customers. They possess that rare skill that they can engage with their customers while working the room and dealing with every little detail, this is dedication, respect and great humility. You will never see a customer or staff member with a long face in here. Ask for something it’s not a problem no eye rolling “or we are busy at the moment” someway like all good hospitality staff there find a way to accommodate you and put you at ease. That’s why I rate this place 5* Can’t wait to return!

the staff were friendly and helpful about allergies. i had eggs benedict with gluten free bread and they made sure to cook the bread on a separate tray instead of using the toaster. the food was really lovely, but slightly on the pricier side.

I recently had takeout from Hare & Kin and had the pleasure of trying their Juicy Chicken Parmigiana wrapped in a delicious focaccia, accompanied by the best fries I have had in a long time! Lydia, was exceptional and went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. The dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Hare & Kin for a fantastic dining experience.

We have eaten here before. It’s always been good but, if possible, the food was even better this time and the service, from Lucia, was excellent.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hare & Kin and it was a truly memorable experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant decor and dim lighting that created a romantic atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff “Lucia” who went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. Pancakes and milkshakes are absolutely delicious. I strongly recommend this!

I usually come for my breakfast and have always had a good experience. Today however I came in with my sister and the waitress called Grace clearly needed customer service training, I’ve never come across someone so miserable, unable to string a sentence together or take the basics of a simple order, which she got wrong!! If you don’t want to be in the customer service industry find a job where you don’t have to be around people. Then when it came to paying the bill she went into the toilet with her mobile phone - leaving me waiting to pay the bill, while a colleague was sat on his mobile sorting out his life- could have taken the payment for my food. Place has gone downhill - poor poor service

We had a family gathering in this wonderful place with delicious food and a five stars service. Our little dog was warmly welcome and Lydia was an unbelievable hostess, helping us to find the right way for our electric scooter. Reduced mobility guests have here a place to come. All the staff was really patient and friendly and the food was really delicious! We only took an ambiente star because it was a bit to loud - but no wonder, it was quite crowded - I guess we were not the only guests finding the food great 😉. Beautiful cozy place with delicious coffee but scarce vegan options. Since changing to Hare + Kin there is now only one vegan item on the menu... £9 granola. I asked for a vegan version of the avocado toast and if i could swap the poached egg and feta for some mushrooms or spinach. The server said that they don't do substitutions. So instead we paid £13.50 for one piece of toast with avocado and a dollop of houmous, I had to buy the substitutions separately so £3.50 for some mushrooms, and £4 for 2 hash browns. The server was pretty unhelpful and despite it costing £21 for an avocado toast, it was tasty. Really disappointing that they've got rid of the vegan breakfast. I'll only be coming back for coffee!

The place is nice, service is good but it seems ridiculous to add service charge onto a coffee. £4 for a coffee is just ridiculous and I’d rather go somewhere else for that

The cafe claims as dog friendly however the owner's dog is not friendly at all. It nearly bit my dog and no apologies at all. The food is ok and staff are nice. However as a dog owner I would not go again.

Had a lovely brunch, service was really great, very friendly. Some lovely veggie & halal options as well. We had the Turkish eggs and it was a lovely twist with the lamb sausage. Coffee was lovely, would definitely recommend a visit! Reasonably priced and they have local suppliers for their food which is fantastic They do add an automatic service charge to the bill which I really hate when restaurants do that. The servers were great and deserve the tip but let me decide! I'm sure you could ask for it to be taken off but I wouldn't ask for that. Very cheeky, the only reason I gave it 4*

As a regular customer I am a big fan of Hare & Kin. Great for a catch up with friends or working solo, there is a great choice of brunch options on the menu and a welcoming atmosphere. Service from Lucia is always impeccable and she makes everyone feel very welcome and well looked-after.

We popped in for a bite to eat during a work trip to the area. There was no issues making some tables work for our larger party. The service was excellent. The menu is all day brunch/lunch items. Very Mediterranean feel to it. Top quality and value for money. There was no issues and would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion.

I love this place! It’s my weekend routine to pop over for brunch or just coffee and cakes😍 The carrot cake is a staple for sure perfectly moist and not too sweet! I recently noticed the Turkish eggs and they were awesome as well! The service is perfect and the girls are really helpful about menu options and table allocations!

What a great place to visit. The food is excellent.homemade fresh and well presented. Try the homemade Victoria sponge. It’s delicious Lucia our waitress was lovely friendly and helpful. Will visit again for sure.

I thought the women in the kitchen was great. As I am a chef myself I see numerous faults in kitchens but this one was clean and very organised as it was an open kitchen. The atmosphere was lovely busy cafe vibes. The chai lattes were delicious and hot. The eggs benidict was perfect. Would definitely come again. Service was slow as at the time 12- 1pm was busy and only one waitresses at this time but we don't fuss over that we just ordered at the bar. The man was attentive and smiled and his dog was very cute. Small business might not be as fast as the big chains but I'd rather wait for quality but that just me.

We have taken visiting family 3 times now for brunch and everyone enjoyed their food. The service is friendly & it's a relaxed vibe even though it was busy. I spotted a stacked tower of Classic panettone in tins at the front on a visit just before Christmas - I hinted to my husband about them as I collect panettone tins lol ! He bought me one for Christmas and we saved it until some friends came round this week but when I cut into it I thought this doesn't look like a classic panettone with candied peel etc - in fact it was a chocolatey, gooey one ( a bit sickly and nobody finished their slice) - obviously there had been a mix up at the factory. I took the remaining cake back to the café today, in the tin and explained what had happened ; the owner was lovely and gave me a replacement no problem. This time the tin contained a perfect classic panettone.. so very happy with that. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

First time I had lunch at Hare and Kin and I can say it was the best food amd service in Didsbury: The roasted red pepper and tomato soup and avocado on toast with poached egg, beetroot hummus and feta was right up my street!!!! Recommended! Lucia has completed the experience nicely with a very attentive and fast service!!!! H&K, you've just got yourself a new regular :-) Thank you

My friend and I came in on a very busy Saturday afternoon for brunch and were grateful to be seated after a 5 minute wait, which we were happy to do. After being seated we were attentively managed by two members of staff who were really polite and helpful. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with the avocado on sourdough (with substituted scrambled egg, beetroot humous and feta) as I found it very bland, something that I thought would be a safe and easy option to judge for our first time visiting. Salt and pepper helped the situation but I do feel like seasoning is a bit of a basic prerequisite and the dish itself could have done with something sweet/salty and acidic to bring some much needed life to the dish. The black plate it came on was marked all around and picked up any fingerprints or spillages so even if it was clean beforehand, it didn’t look like it was. For £12.50 I found this to be punching above its weight for one slice of sourdough plus toppings. My chai latte was a little disappointing too however, my friend enjoyed her flat white but also found her sandwich nothing special. I think more attention to detail with the flavour and plates is much needed for Hare & Kin to be worth the price tag or another visit.

Tiny food portions not worth the price. Had the vege breakfast. 3 tiny cherry tomatoes, no vege sausage, miniscule amount of hummus and avacado and very thin sourdough bread. Absolutely not worth the prices. Busy atmosphere. OK place for a nice coffee.

Had a really nice meal with my friend here today. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us and always happy to assist despite being very busy. In particular Luciana who waited on us today. Was more than happy to rectify an issue with the food with politeness and a swift resolve. She’s a credit to the business.

Lovely spot for a family brunch. Simple menu but food was good quality and portions were generous. We were well looked after by Lydia and Lucia.

We were greeted by a lovely waitress and we asked if we could have a table of 4 adults and 1 highchair, the waitress said yes and that the table would be ready shortly and asked if we could sit in the bar area whilst we wait. It all went downhill from there… a lady with shoulder length hair not in uniform who we assumed was the owner or manager came over and what I can only describe as the worst people skills I’ve ever encountered as a customer. We asked if we could order food and she said no the waitress has a system (very strange), the waitress did come over after to take our order and advised us there would be a slight delay on food which we were ok with. Our food arrived chips were cold, 3 of us ordered poached eggs not one egg runny the only thing that was ok was child’s beans on toast (not hard to get wrong). We watched and overheard this lady speak to staff and other customer in such a rude and disrespectful manner that even the table next to us spoke to us about her. I would advise to never to go this restaurant and if you do hope and pray this lady is not on shift!!!

Ate here many times when it was Seven54. Always excellent. It’s changed hands and is now Hare & Kin. Coffee still decent, but my eggs Benedict was a real let down. Served with cold hollandaise and eggs that were over poached. Disappointed.

Great cafe. Super food - lots of local ingredients. Scrambled and salmon was really good. Service pretty attentive, maybe first coffees a bit slow. Proper pot of tea too. Enjoyed and I could see some scrumptious stuff for afternoon tea too. Has outdoor seating, which some hardy locals were using in December. Mad I know, but a local thing it seems.

Considering a lot of the dishes are egg dishes I expected that they would be good. Not the case, poached eggs were solid and lukewarm. We were asked if we wanted water for the table and we said a jug of still water would be fine, we were brought 4 small bottles of still water, total cost £12. Felt ripped off and won’t be returning.

Excellent spot for an early breakfast. Staff were lovely and can fully recommend the Turkish eggs. Stylish vibe with nice music but the addition of radio playing in the open plan kitchen is not ideal for a relaxing Sunday morning ambience.
