Excellent for Afternoons Tea. Great food. Comfortable surroundings. And helpful and friendly staff. We’ve had a lovely afternoon and we would definitely come back again. RECOMMENDED.

Beware if you make a booking here. I made a booking over a month ago for a group of friends. Today someone phoned to confirm the booking. Then this afternoon I received an automatic email saying my booking was cancelled!! This was apparently as another group booking had overridden mine. Very annoying as most other places in the vicinity are now booked up!

Well I’ll start by saying I absolutely HATED the fact that no matter what I did or where in the Resturant/Bar I was I could not find any bad or negative faults , not even one! Actually the weather was really cold and although I’m sure this establishment do not have any control over the weather I’m blaming them…… I had bought a package for a sparkling afternoon tea for two a while back initially for my ex partners birthday, however he and I decided to end the relationship before this date and so I was left with a date already booked and it had passed the date for any possibility to change. I called the restaurant on the off chance to see if I could use my witty humour to get the date changed, I was put through to a charming man known to me at this point as “the manager” I explained i couldn’t attend and knowing it’s passed the date to be changed could they be some exceptions, without any hesitation told me that was no problem for him to do that and changed the date right there, I couldn’t believe it, most places make things so difficult and here I am talking to the Hilton halo Restaurant, one of thee busiest places in Islington and he just changed it just like that. The date was set for the 24 nov , however I received a call around a week before to a very apologetic voice that I almost recognised ? It was the same manager of the restaurant. He explained that’ they had been booked for an event and not realising accidentally booked me on that day , i was absolutely fine about it and changed it for a week later he also said when we arrive a bottle of champagne would be gifted for the inconvenience, in shock once again I thanked the man and the call ended. I decided to take my auntie as my guest and met her in the lobby of the hotel and off we went to the restaurant,. We were greeted by another charming gentleman and show to our table , walking through I could feel the atmosphere it was booming with people enjoying themselves , lots of smiles were exchanged from the other customers equally as happy as I was as we walked to our seats by the gentleman , this who was going to be our waiter for the evening(overwhelmed by the whole experience I forgot to get his name however I am quite sure the fellow may have been south Asian) . After being seated my aunt and i chatted catching up on life events when our waiter brought out the most Beautiful rack of sandwiches equally just as delicious from egg mayonnaise to chicken to name a few , a big box was placed on the table and when it opened I looked in ment as I have never seen such a variety of different twinnings teas like this box had, i cheekily took one of the ginger and lemon to have at home, then came along the sparkling , the manager was notified of us arriving and introduced himself he was ev more charming in person, he even remembered my name and reminded me of our phone conversations explaining that it was him I had been speaking to at the same time holding a bottle for us. Asking how we were and making us feel so special he poured our drinks, I looked up my aunts jaw dropped towards the floor she was so taken back at the levels of finesse, I’m now actually quite sure she had her eye on the handsome fellow, he asked if there was anything else don’t hesitate to ask , so with a little embarrassment I quietly muttered is there any chance of anymore sandwiches which he clearly heard ,he said “let me see what he can do” not more than a minute later a plait came towards our table with more delicious sandwiches, my aunt and I almost finger fighting to pick our personal best. After a drained upside down bottle and 2 crumbless plates later our table was cleaned , hot water and milk jugs were delivered to our table , by the time we finished our tea another hour had past already and it was time to leave , I thanked everybody in sight for such a great experience, i have to say this has to be 1 of my top 3 experiences so far in my thirty fi…….. i mean twenty one years of life. I will 100% DEFINITELY without any doubt be dinning here again , if I could I would have given 10/5 but unfortunately there’ is no such option for this. On the way out I asked the manager his name sharing a little joke by him saying I wouldn’t remember his name well you loose COSMIN !! aka the Romanian guy , thank you for so much for such a lovely time and showing us and all your guests the real true meaning of hospitality, I will forever sing your praises …………………………………. Still searching for faults , I now think it’s time I let this one go and accept the defeat ..HAlO you win!

Afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches were very good. The sandwiches had tasty fillings and the bread was soft. Scones were also good with the usual pot of jam and small packet of Rodda cream. There were also a selection of dainty cakes,all very tasty. Each of us had a big pot of water and there is a box of assorted tea for us to choose from. Service was very friendly and accomodating when we requested for another pot of hot water. Restaurant is clean, spacious and very relaxing.

Had a lovely afternoon, waitress was very attentive and made us feel very welcome, ensuring we were all catered for from the youngest of 7 to the eldest of 88 yrs! Would definitely return!

Love the food from here, the jack Daniels chicken pops are my absolute favourite 😄

Never change the chicken and jd sauce. Always on point. Now you do the wrap... it’s like you read my mind. Can never fault this takeaway. 10/10 for us and has been for the past 5 years to be honest.

I love it from here, but the food just wasn't the same this time. Had the jack daniels burger, it was so dry, had the tiniest little blob of sauce and chicken was rock solid crispy.

Food was delicious as usual. Love everything from Halo. Always a proper tasty treat. Delivery was ten minutes later than originally estimated, but it was peak time on Saturday night, so totally understandable. We’ll be back, again and again! 👍🏼

Was really disappointed with yesterday’s order. It was my sons 9th birthday meal and he had chosen to have Halo’s since we can’t go to a restaurant. The meal was half an hour late and stone cold by the time it got us, plus dip was missing. I’ve tried to speak to Just Eat but it’s impossible as they are so busy.

Absolutely shocked at the portion size for the price you pay. The cheesecakes were tiny, runny and poor quality. The warm cookie were mushy and small. The milkshake was weak. I’ve had a milkshake from here before and was good but this order was completely poor. We ordered a few so we could share. So disappointed. Will not be ordering from here again.

Food was disappointing; Chicken was dry, Wraps were sweaty, Chips were cold and soggy, No sauce on the wrap. Will not be ordering again.

I've ordered from this place since moving to Grove a year ago and honestly their service and quality is second to none the food is allways hot and delicious want to know how they make their fries tho 😋 Highley recommend to anyone

Good quality, tasty & good value

First time we have ordered, always sceptically usually the burgers are soggy and chips feel wet. Please to say the food was amazing, everything tasted fresh including the salad on the burgers and the chips was really nice. We will order again in the future and maybe have a desert treat as-well they look amazing.

I just had my first burger from Halo and Ioved it it was perfect, teh beef the bun the amount of sauce. Super friendly and fast divery. Would highly recommend. Also, I believe great value for money.

I've ordered from you guys since you opened and always had great service and great food! However recently you have changed your menu and stopped custom orders for some strange reason! It means rather than being able to order something with everything I want on/in it I only get a couple of choices and even when I rang to ask if I could add a few things into a wrap and burger to make it better in my opinion I was told no custom orders are allowed anymore! I used to get a wrap and add pulled pork, halloumi and a few other things. Because of this it had now put me off ordering and I sway to order from other take aways who will allow you to add ingredients to an order. Shame really as everything was always really nice!!

Faultless. Delicious food, excellent service, delivered a little early. Delivery man was friendly and polite. Exactly what we needed on the Friday night of a tiring week.

Food was absolutely lovely! Burger was juicy, sweat potato fries were a bit limp but tasted nice. Cookie dough cheesecake was surprisingly delicious. I'll definitely be ordering again!

Cold ,dry, simply not worth the money!

Warm cookie dough, ice cream, cookie dough milkshake... it’s like someone jumped into my brain, searched for the best dessert, made it and sold it to me! Glorious thick milkshake, and what’s that? Ooooo cheeky Oreo stick in there! And the options! I had flake and choc sauce, with cookies and cream ice cream (had a bit of theme going). Halo is taking dessert science to a new level! Then you tell me that’s going to arrive early? Just eat? They’ve completed it

If I could leave a 10 star review I would ⭐️! Absolutely amazing ! I’ve never had a bad meal from Halo and safe to say it’s the best takeaway I’ve ever eaten. Every time I’ve ordered the food it either comes early or bang on time which is fantastic, also the food comes red hot and tastes to die for. Massive thank you to the lovely lady that bakes those delicious homemade Cornflake Tarts, I could eat that all day 😍. Also a huge thank you to everyone at Halo for such great service and food. You guys are amazing 🤩🌟

Burger, wrap and dessert all perfect as usual (JD sauce on this menu is TGI's style (I worked there and have never found anywhere else that does it), chips today were not as good as usual, but eaten from here several times and they are usually perfect! Would definitely recommend for a lock down 'Friday's' style dins at home - all you need to do is make a massive cocktail to go with!

With great tasty food and quick service

This was the second time I've ordered from Halo, Hazel Grove, last time when they said the food was ready it wasn't, I had to wait 15mins, today I turned up five minutes later than advised, again had to wait. And they tried to explain "everyone turns up late" I appreciate this must be frustrating but if ppl turn up late then they need to accept their food maybe cold. The curly fries had so much salt on them I had to bin them, they were way overdone, maybe this is why they put so much salt on them, people are capable of salting their own fries, what about ppl with blood pressure conditions, dont salt ppls fries without asking. I also got onion rings they were soaking in oil and I'm not sure how fresh it was, again in the bin. I also got a wrap and that was pretty tasty. Needless to say I won't be returning 2 stars out of five, just eat does not help the situation as you dont talk to the ppl.
