Hadcroft Stourbridge in Dudley

We use The Hadcroft as a venue for a monthly lunch group for bereaved adults and have never been disappointed. The service is efficient, pleasant and exactly what suits the group. This visit was as usual excellent

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The Marstons Pedigree ale was good. We were a party of four and three of us ordered steaks, two were fine (a rump and a sirloin), but my friends other sirloin was really tough and after trying to get through it, he couldn’t. However, the staff handled the complaint really well and the plate was whisked away and a completely freshly cooked meal brought out. This steak was fine, so on the whole great service. My only gripe is that on my booking I had requested a quiet table, and although there was plenty of empty tables, everyone was shoe horned into a particular area and it was quite cramped. Having said that, we will return!

We were a large group who all ordered food and the service was excellent although the pub was busy. We meet monthly and will be back in March

Two out of three meals were not good! Instead of a normal amount of vegetables there was literally a spoonful and we had to ask for more. The waitress confirmed we had only been given a spoonful. The pies crusts were very dry and possibly over microwaved. It was a Valentines Day meal and the owner decided to remove the Valentines heart decorations literally from over our heads while we were still eating at 8,40pm which was very disconcerting...then when i explained that she shouldn't do this she just gave me a cocky look. Later on in a response to my review on GOOGLE she tried to excuse this by saying that she was taking them down as she was 'preparing for Mothers Day' which she claims she'd told me at the time and she hadn't. This is non-sensical given that Mothers Day is in a month and a half time and the fact she left other decorations up around the room. I was bothered as id also noticed cobwebs on the light fitting that the decorations were hanging from. We are customers and perhaps if customers are treated properly and respectfully they will receive reviews accordingly as i'm simply being honest.

A lunch time Birthday Party with 18 guests. Well organised with excellent food and service, some guests were from some distance away and commented that they wish they had somewhere as good local to them. Excellent as always.

Had hunters chicken-chicken very very dry over cooked. Hardly any sauce on it - on the menu says smothered in sauce - onion rings over cooked more like crisps with no onions inside hard to cut chicken it was that dry finished meal with tomato ketchup have been here before had the same meal which was then as stated on the menu. Not impressed going somewhere else next time

Good food at an affordable price, Good service, smiling, efficient and smiling staff. Comfortable and cosy pub with a nice atmosphere.

What excellent staff...can't praise them enough! Food was super too, hot and speedy service. What's not to like. Well done!!

First rate service and always helpful. Staff second to none and always make you welcome and comfortable. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu always hot and tasty and very competitively priced. All Covid measures are in place, including all tables cleaned regularly and social distancing throughout. Table orders taken and brought to you for your consumption. Never had too wait long and if is there is a problem, its sorted out with no nonsense. Brilliant establishment with excellent management. Thanks Jill and Staff

The usual pub chain food, smallish menu but something for everyone. Nothing amazing food wise however Amazing service. Decors the usual pub style.

Glad that we had booked though you would think that it wouldn't be necessary at 5.30 on a Wednesday evening. On arrival you would think that it was not necessary and by 7pm when we left more than half of the tables were still vacant though there was a reservation notice on each of them. Surely it is costing them business because it turns people away. It seems to happen again and again here. The food is typical of the chain, pub food, not expensive and accessible quality and quantity. Service was friendly and efficient. I will return again and recommend but maybe advise you to book a table or risk waiting for one watching the majority of tables still empty and unused throughout your visit.
