Gyros Express in Erewash

How have I not stumbled on this place? Overheard a friend talking about here so decided to try for the first time. And wow I'm so glad I did, ordered for delivery the mixed meal and houlumi, it arrived fast and hot. Was all presented absolutely perfect in a nice foiled box. I cannot fault this place as a first time customer. I will definitely recommend and will be using this more often.

Ordered delivery and was quoted 45 minutes. It arrived in 25 minutes 😊 The food was amazing! Hot and plenty of it. Definitely will order again.

Ordered direct on their website which cited 45 mins delivery AFTER we'd paid - tolerable timescale, but ideally we'd have known this BEFORE paying. We called after 55 mins to be advised 'the order has left the kitchen' but no eta of arrival. Hopeful, we kept an eye on the road outside for a further 30 mins (we were getting really hungry by this point). When the delivery finally arrived (1.5 hours after ordering) the driver explained we were their 7th delivery. Concerned as to the condition of the food we were not surprised to find it barely warm so it needed microwaving so ended up rather soggy, yet with a hint of how tasty it should have been freshly cooked. I understand the multi-drop model keeps delivery costs low but waiting 1.5 hours for 2 cool gyros wraps that needed to be microwaved to a 'soggy' state is poor. Might try again, but only take out.

On a trip form Lincoln to Merseyside we needed a break for food. Having found too many interesting restaurants closed on Tuesday evening it was a relief to find this genuine, quick and inexpensive takeaway just off our route. We had a chicken giros and a chick souvla - both with lashings of garlicky tzatziki and salad wrapped in a lovely soft pita bread. Then a fresh katayifi soaked in syrup - such joy!

We travelled a 36 mile round trip after hearing great recommendations about this place! What can we say, it didn’t disappoint. Quick service, all food is freshly prepared. The young girl on the desk was so kind and friendly. Great Greek music playing in the background whilst you wait. Great little drive on a Saturday evening to give the car a run! Will return in the future!
