Beautiful place. Shame About the rest!! We rarely get out without kids and my gosh was I glad the kids weren’t there. As a grown adult I do not mind waiting a little on a main course but this was Joke. Starters were fab but the main Course was majorly delayed and the portions tiny. 4 pieces of meat per dish. Perfect for a small child…adult meal nope. Shockingly over priced. Such a pity as the staff were so nice and helpful. The atmosphere 10/10. Newry NEEDS a place like this but just level up and get your act together. Veggie dish was Shocking too. Froozen NOT fresh veg (for £13 a dish) Nann terrible. Clearly not home made. So disappointed.

Food was excellent, it was that good we dined here both nights whilst visiting Newry for two days on business. Complimentary Poppadoms with 3 dips, all our meals were delicious, especially the lamb shank. Service was great.

Very disappointing.. my partner and I had been looking forward to trying guru for ages. The portion sizes are ridiculous for the price. Literally four pieces of chicken in a little dish and charged us for rice separately. We both had a curry rice and a nan bread and a jug of water it was 50 pounds.. honestly I could have stayed at home and ordered a proper Indian for half the price. Won’t be back sorry.

I had dinner here for my birthday treat with my daughter. We loved our meal. My daughter is Vegan and gluten free so the menu choices were limited for her, but she was able to have a starter and a veggie curry and both were delicious. I am a non meat eater, but I do eat fish, so I had a prawn dish. It was delicious too. The rices were lovely. The poppadoms were really fresh and crispy with nice chutneys. Unfortunately they were not gluten free, possibly due to the same oil that they were fried in being used to fry gluten. We appreciated the honesty of the staff; our waiter went to the kitchen to check with the chef. After our meal I was presented with a piece of cake with a candle and a tape of Happy Birthday, as was another diner that night. The staff were lovely; nothing was too much trouble. Oh and they brought us an order of peshwari naan bread which we hadn't ordered (gluten free - obs). We told the waiter and he said ' Sorry madam, complimentary now'. I did try to persuade him to take it away because there was a lot of it and I don't like naan bread and my daughter can't eat it but he was adamant we keep it. It seemed awful to not at least try a bit, so I did. It was utterly delicious! Pillowy soft naan, lovely moist almondy filling. I heartily recommend it. Next time I will order it. And there will definitely be a next time. Just to be completely honest, it is quite pricy, but I'd prefer to spend more and really enjoy the food. Also, for some, the portions would be small compared to what they're used to. For me they were perfect.

Wow. Flavour explosion. All the dishes are familiar but created with that little difference. For instance a type of samosa served as a stack in a bean jus. Not just your usual triangle with some limp lettuce in the side. Complimentary poppadoms upon arrival. Definitely worth a return visit
