The black coffee was good. Also very good that gluten free and vegan food options were available. In case you are allergic, there are also some snack bars available

Great coffee, great service. I've been here only once, looking for high quality coffee while passing by Lewes. These guys didn't disappoint. Coffee from a local roaster called Pharmacie when I was there, brewed perfectly. I'd go back.

Last Sunday I had an awesome coffee from this coffee shop. However, I can’t recall what type of coffee it was. It was between a macchiato & cortado. Can anybody tell me what it was? (Double shot of espresso, same quantity of cold milk)

Go here fairly regularly. One thing I would say is 3.20 is quite alot to pay when you can't really sit and chill comfortably .

Whilst the coffee is lovely, as is the hot chocolate, the woman who served us last week was so unfriendly and not at all accommodating. We arrived, were not greeted (a simple 'hello' would have sufficed, or an acknowledgment that we had entered the shop), and when we asked for our drinks, the woman was, quite frankly, rude. I asked for a tea, only to find out they do not serve tea which is bizarre. I understand not having a range of teas on offer, but to not serve English Breakfast / builder's brew is just odd. Equally, no filter coffee. Rather than apologising or offering an alternative, we had to keep asking for different drinks. It was like getting blood out of a stone. If it wasn't for the service, I would give a much higher rating because the shop and the cakes on offer was lovely. I don't know if she was having a bad day but it really made the whole experience quite uncomfortable.

I regularly boy coffee from Ground - they are exceptional! You consistently get a very high quality flat white or espresso, for example, and their growing range of cakes and coffee equipment is first class too. Highly recommended - friendly barristas, great coffee, reliably fantastic coffee experience.

Slow, really strong coffee in really small measures. A Latte should fill up more than 3/4 of a medium/small takeaway cup. Disappointing

Hard to find good coffee but this place certainly respects the quality and potential of coffee. Very good experience and customer service very good. Will be returning for sure!

Excellent coffee at Ground Coffee House. It's nice to find somewhere where I can buy both decaf and normal coffee and both are really good quality. The service was friendly, and there was a nice looking selection of cakes, muffins, etc as well. There is a small amount of seating inside, as well as offering takeaway. If you buy a Keep Cup, they were offering your first coffee free when I was there.

One of the smallest and loveliest coffee shops in Sussex. I parked my motorbike outside, ordered a coffee and within minutes was taking part in a coffee tasting session. I highly recommend this superb neighbourhood place.

Simply the best coffee in Lewes!

Anyone that cares about Lewes and/or the environment should NOT use this business as; *The barista pours his coffee grinds directly into the storm water drains in St Nicholas Lane - it's just a question of time until the Victorian drains block and flood the houses in Lansdown Place (all properties have basement living areas) *The area stinks+++ and compromises the ability of local residents to enjoy their properties and surroundings. *Furniture is plonked outside, restricting the pavements and forcing pedestrians into the carriageway. *Selfish (& lazy) customers park their cars on the double yellow lines because they can see traffic wardens approaching. This selfish act restricts the width of the road and large vehicles (lorries/buses) cannot pass, and no vehicle can exit St Nicholas Lane freely because the turning area is compromised. *Rubbish is left outside a neighbouring property (in the carriageway), often a day or two before collection date. *There is a superior local business located a few doors along Lansdown Place - proper seating, tables, garden and a variety of products available - and the proprietor respects their neighbours!

Really good quality coffee & very friendly staff. I've been a customer of theirs since the first branch opened in Brighton and Ground has been consistently great ever since. Not the widest range of food at this branch, but it's a very small premises so there is no kitchen in fairness. If you want coffee in Lewes you would be mad to go anywhere else!

They're happy to talk with you and they make me happy - plus, the coffees mighty fine!
