I visit the coffee shop regularly with a group of cyclists. The staff are always friendly and the service reasonably prompt. This is one of our favourite locations for mid-ride refreshments. There is a dedicated cycle parking area, which is a great provision, although we are reluctant to use the "wheel bender" type cycle rack. A single bar at approx chest height is all that is required to hang the bike on. However a few months ago an electric gate was installed across the main tarmac entrance road. Unfortunately the cyclists now have to share the pedestrian entrance and paths, as it is very difficult to cycle over the loose stones in the car park area and cycling shoes aren't made for walking. We would appeal to the castle's management to address this. Otherwise, perfect! This access issue has been improved, thank you.

Extremely disappointed, we ordered chowder and it was so bad we gave up after a couple of spoonfuls and just ate the wheaten. It was like chunks of fish in a thick, gloopy wallpaper paste, absolutely no taste or seasoning. To be fair, other meals going past looked really good, burgers/battered fish etc, but if this is their usual chowder recipe I wouldn't recommend ordering it try something else. I can only assume something went wrong on this occasion. Our meal didn't even rate one star, but I gave 2 star as staff/ service were good, lovely location and other menu choices looked great.

The garnish with my toastie was a few torn lettuce leaves with a dash of mustard dressing! 🙄 No tomato, no red onion, nothing!! Oh and a handful of crisps 🤷🏼♀️also toastie was "toasted" on one side only 🤦♀️

Hopefully the full kitchen opens fully again and they put Ceaser Salad on the menu. Arrived today and no kitchen, but got a tasty sweet chilli chicken pannini instead. Staff pleasant.

A quick drop in on a chilly and wet November day, but the cafe was quite busy with families and couples. I was just going to have a coffee, but the apple pie (with fresh cream) called to me. The cafe was well staffed, efficient and tables were cleared promptly.

I am celiac so I much appreciated the gluten free options. I had the seafood chowder and WOW!!!!! I wanted to lick the bowl. The gluten free bun that came with it was soft and delicious. Absolutely superb.

Lovely cafe part of the ground coffee chain which serves lunches and a wider selection of desserts. Was expensive for a family of 5 but all meals were delicious and the desserts and coffee were good too.

Love this little restaurant, it may seem a little pricey but the food is excellent, the staff are friendly. It can get busy and sometimes a little noisy but then I really should not blame them for their clientele.

Ordered a special, Monkfish Tempura. Got 5 little pieces of a white fish which was definitely not monk fish, one lettuce leaf and skinny fries. Cost £13.95. A total rip off. I had been there in the past and the food was excellent. Why the drastic change ?

Had lunch, took a minute or two to get tables cleared, but cleared and cleaned they were! Fresh food, ham was delicious. Staff very polite but a couple of the younger staff need a wee gee up! Don't stand with your arms the same length when the dish washer is clearing tables on their own. That said a lovely lunch, in great surroundings. I'd recommend it to visitors but maybe a wee meet and greet or explanation of the system.

Called in to glenarm Cafe on Saturday for lunch. I had shorthorn burger which had burnt bacon and burnt roll. My wife had what was supposed to be potato and leak soup though it looked like and tasted like boiled seaweed. Totally disappointed as we hadn't been there in a while and definitely won't be back. Staff not very helpful. Prices are a disgrace for cafe food. Positive point the chips were nice.

This is a lovely coffee shop set in the beautiful grounds of Glenarm Castle. Whilst the food is tasty and there is a nice menu choice it is a little pricey. On my most recent visit last week i was disappointed to see so many crumbs, crisps and chips lying on the floor and around the tables and chairs on the upper level of the cafe. I understand that this is unavoidable but the cafe was very quiet and surely this is the ideal opportunity for staff to check around the tables and chairs and clean up where necessary. The covering on the bench seating areas is badly peeled and looks a little unhygienic and uninviting. So come on Glenarm , keep on top of things and don't let this gem of a cafe become neglected.

I have not been here since pre-covid, and won`t be back. Prices are a disgrace, we got a small bowl of soup, a ham and cheese sandwich ( was two small slices of bread) a coffee and a bottle of water which came to £19. Also there was snow on the ground, no salt put down or any attempt to clear the snow. The car park means you have to walk 300yrds +, which is fine if your able bodied, but not for the elderly or wheelchair users. Car park and paths where very slippery, and an accident waiting to happen. The management of this place are just plain greedy, everything is very expensive, and not worth visiting.

Disappointed, usually get the Glenarm burger which has 2 patties in it. This time only 1 pattie but charged same amount. Enquired about this only to receive a shoulder shrug. Are you giving less food for same price? We were regular customers but won't be back!

Had a lovely day here with my best friend for her birthday treat, and my 3 kids, staff where absolutely lovely dispite an angry and aggressive customer pushing in line in front of me over some gluten free bread issue she was having, staff handled her aggressions very well though they did not deserve such abuse and the customer was completely out of line, the food and the layout was lovely really affordable and we will definitely be back. I appreciated them giving me extra plates as my twins are 3 and don't eat very much so I split their food up and this saves me money and food waste portions where very good. As a vegitarian I found there was plenty on offer for me also. 5 stars.

You can visit the cafe without going into the walled garden and it's well worth a visit in its own right. The coffee and food is excellent. We shared a Croc Monsieur, Band Bang sausage roll and a brownie with coffees. Also bought two lovely pieces of Glenarm Shorthorn Ribeye Steaks in the shop in the entrance.

Came here lunch time and noticed how the customers all seemed to have enjoyed their lunches as their plates were empty. Always a good sign. Ordered our meal and the ladies behind the counter were friendly, kind and welcoming. My husband had the stew and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had vol au vent with a wee side salad and a lovely pot of chips. Tea and coffee £15.10. Wonderful value. Would definitely visit here again. But, note, cash only and you can't blame cafes these days as banks charge so much for card usage. Absolutely recommend

We recently visited Taste Coffee and Restaurant in Larne, and it was such a fantastic experience that we completely forgot to take pictures! Thankfully, I found some on their Facebook page, but they hardly do justice to how great this place is. The food was incredible, with so many delicious options to choose from. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, and the chips and shakes were an absolute must-try! The service was super fast, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. A special shoutout to Joanne, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. If you’re in Larne and looking for the best cafe in town, Taste is a must-visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and can’t wait to come back!
